a plate of breakfast food on a table

This is one of our favorite places for breakfast when we are in the area. Remodeled since we were here last, which is nice. Service was friendly and quick. Food quality is excellent, really love the breakfast sausage.

Mehh. Just an average breakfast place. Nothing too bad and nothing too great about it. I ordered the "two step" breakfast which came with eggs (I ordered over easy), pancakes and sausage. Then I ordered a side of toast since it did not come with any. It also did not come with any home fries which I found odd and surprising. Everything about my meal was just average. I've had better and worse eggs, pancakes, sausage and toast. My husband got the farmer's omelette (peppers & onions) which was a large portion size and did come with home fries and toast. Overall I think this place is fine if you're in a pinch and hungry but nothing worth waiting for if it's a busy day. There are better options in the area.

Easter's Mac with bacon, on marble, with homefries

I think most towns have a place like this. They don't necessarily make stuff you can't make yourself when you're feeling a little bit lazy this is the kind of place that will lend a helping hand. Usually, these places have solid food, solid coffee, a local crowd, and reasonable prices I've been living within spitting distance of this place for almost 9 months, I finally decided to bring my lazy rear end here. Now, a lot of reviewers are saying is that the prices here are quite steep. This, in my opinion, is only partially true. Take a place like The Mad Hatter, the prices are at least within the same ballpark, but consider what you get: One portion is enough to feed a family of bears before they go into hibernation. Here, a plate of the same stuff is enough to hold you until lunch (maybe a late lunch but not dinner). Case in point: I had asked for some home fries with my sandwich, usually a place like this would pile on a couple kilos of the stuff. Here I got a tablespoon or two. I'm not advocating for humongous portions, I am advocating for value, setting my baseline at the level other similar places. Many people are also saying that this location is somewhat outdated or dirty.  I haven't been here before, but it seems that they put some effort into making it cleaner and a little more modern. However, I have to say that the choice of colors and design doesn't really go with a place like this. It goes well with a trendy new restaurant downtown, but not here. But, I'm no interior designer or architect so who am I to say. In terms of the food, I had the Easter's Mac, which was your basic bacon egg and cheese.  the egg was cooked perfectly, it was sooo smooth.  the bacon I knew it was there because I saw it, but it was a slice or two and didn't add a whole lot to the overall meal. Ditto for the cheese. Now if you had gone to The Mad Hatter, you would have gotten more bacon when you have seen in your dreams,  maybe even too much but that's kind of the point, is it not? Finally, the service was a mixed bag. It was wicked quick and polite, which was nice. However, where I was sitting in the far corner of the restaurant it felt I was almost not even there. After I had ordered, and I already knew what I had wanted, I was kind of forgotten about (this may be a slight exaggeration, but only slight). Since I already knew what I wanted, they had taken my order and then left me be after it was all done. No one came by to ask if I wanted more coffee or anything else. it took some gentle flagging down for me to pay my bill, but that was processed fairly quickly. I will also give them bonus points for offering to get me some more coffee to go. After all is said and done, it's a solid place with solid food and solid coffee, however, considering I can get more and slightly better elsewhere, I rather make the very short drive to that elsewhere.

First off, the website on here is not their website, they don't even have a website. I found this place to be very cute and homey. The have old signs around and signed pictures of older iconic people. It feels like him sitting in my own kitchen. I got the broccoli and cheese omelette and a side of pancakes. The omelette was very fluffy and filled perfectly. The pancake was also fluffy and lots of butter which is how I like it. My friend got the Irish Benedict (corned beef hash) and the eggs were cooked to perfection. We are big Benedict people and I don't think I've had a better one. They came with home fries which come with onions so beware if you don't like onions! Staff was polite and attentive. Just wish the price was a dollar or so cheaper for everything considering it's supposed to be $ I would say yelp needs to change this one to $$ Overall this place was great and we will be back again.

This was a $14 salad. It's a small bowl and it barely filled half the bowl. I added chicken and there was the equivalent of a chicken tenderloin (1) added for $5. Super over priced for what you get and it just tastes ok. Nothing great about it. Absolute rip off.

Breakfast was very tasty. I ordered the Irish Benedict, I was full after eating it. Eggs were poached and just the way I like them.

The place was dirty. Very small parking lot. The food was expensive for breakfast. Eggs were dry. My boyfriend and I barely touched our food

As my Bestfriend lives in Weymouth, I stumbled across The Grill & Eye on Yelp and we decided to go for breakfast. Before even getting there, the pictures I saw had me ready to eatttttttttttt. The location was super easy to find as it sits directly on the main road. Parking is scarce, however, there is street parking available and we were able to grab a good spot. Yaay! Walking in, the ambiance is super homely and gives the feel of a mom & pops kind of restaurant. It's small and quaint, however, they have made great use of the space. The waitress at the counter was very inviting and welcomed us with a huge smile and friendly Welcome In. As it is a seat yourself setup, we decided to sit near the back wall. Once seated the waitress was at our table immediately. She presented us with the menus and took our drink order. OhEmGee! Let's talk about the menu. There is no shortage of options whatsoever! The variation of food options truly make it a hard decision to figure out what you want. I'm all for ordering the entire menu, lol. In all seriousness, the menu is amazing and there is something for everyone regardless of what you have a taste for. I decided to order the platter with 2 Pancakes, Bacon, Sausage Links, and Eggs. As I don't eat eggs, I was excited that I was able to swap out my eggs for grits. It's the small things in life that mean the most. LoL! Once our order was placed, the excitement increased and we were ready to eat. Seeing the other orders come out for the tables around us truly increased the anticipation. Ha! Lucky for me, the food didn't take long at all. Everything was out in a timely manner and every single item on the plate was fresh. Speaking of fresh, all of the meat was quality cuts and the grits were real grits. The food was not only fresh but it was flavorful. The sweet to salt ratio provided by the pancake syrup and meat really made every single bite a mouth pleasing, flavor rewarding experience. The bacon was crispy and meaty. The pancakes were fluffy and a perfect size as they almost covered the entire plate. The sausage was flavorful and not too greasy, and best of all, the grits were not too watery or too stiff. The water to grit ratio was spot on and the natural grit flavor wasn't overpowered by the butter, yet the butter was present and added to the creamy smooth texture that was accomplished. Overall I am overjoyed by my meal, the service, and the pricing at The Grill & Eye and I will be returning the next time I'm home for a visit.
