I love this place and used to eat here all the time (along with my partner), but was recently diagnosed with Celiac (so I can't eat my favorite food, bread). This is a hidden gem located just off the freeway at the entrance to an RV park. We grabbed sandwiches there after a whitewater rafting trip (rafting company shares the parking lot). Sandwiches cost just over $10 each and they are pretty large and tasty. You can select from their menu or create your own hot or cold sandwich. They have a good assortment of other items, somewhat like a general store. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are tables and chairs outside on a patio. The only downside is that the place is not much to look at. Regardless, if I am in the area, I would return. read more

I love this little hidden gem. It's in the back of a convenience store that doubles as the cashier for the gas station out front, maybe as the camping center of the RV park / campsites near by? At any rate, the deli was awesome. We walked in and asked for help from the cashier. He walked back, took our orders, and made our sandwiches. There's some great specials, but we just got our own conceptions. The dude was nice and friendly, there was a great selection of ingredients and chips and drinks, and we paid at the front and ate on the patio amidst the sierras landscape. Was peaceful, delicious, and accommodating and we may stop here every time we're headed on the long track back to Utah from our hometowns - Sacramento and the Bay, respectively. Tried out this place during a break in my son's tournament in Truckee. Wasn't sure what to expect especially seeing that it was in a RV park. BUT it was great.
