The food is delicious, the service is great, and the atmosphere is wonderful for a family. The catfish is a must-try!

Put this dust on your food! It's awesome.

This place has some good food, obviously get the catfish. I got the Cajun catfish grilled and will order it again. Caution. I did find a bone in the fish. The sides are good too. Highly recommend Willie's dust. Service is counter order and delivered. They had decent beer prices too. It was a little cold in there.

Solid choice for catfish, shrimp, chicken, and crab - seved basket style with sides which may include fries and baked beans. Beer, but no hard liquor - or soft drinks. The Sweet Tea is great! Order at the counter, fix your drink, and wait for them to bring your food to the table. On a busy Friday night, it may take about 15-20 minutes to get foid - but when you see the lines (drive-thru AND dine-in) - it is understandable. We'e been wanting to try these for years, and I'm sure glad we ate there last night! Good food, and pkenty of it. Tge 'Try Everything' basket has chicken, fish, shrimp, and 2 sides. Wow! It is a lot of food! They could use a few more options for sides, but otherwise it is outstanding!

Let me start with the wonderful greeting we received as we entered. Tabby greeted us with a warm smile and hospitality, which is so appreciated. We ordered the catfish shrimp combo with fried okra and coleslaw as our sides. Great filets, fried just right and not greasy. Shrimp were plump, just the right amount of batter and fried perfectly! The coleslaw was on point and had really good flavor and tasted fresh. The okra tasted fresh as well, not frozen, with a light crispy coating. I'm not usually a fan of hush puppies, I know I know, but I really enjoyed the flavor of these. There tartar sauce is a secret sauce and was so yummy!! Be sure to try the Cajun dust as well! All in all this was a great meal and I will def be back. Service was 10/10 as Tabby checked in on us through out our meal to make sure we didn't need anything.

Had my craving for crawfish met! I was hankering for some mudbugs during vacation, and my sister recommended this place. Conway is lucky to have such a great seafood place! It was a little busy for a weekday night, which would explain the mixups with our orders. The unique and awesome tartar sauce made up for it, though. It tastes as though it is regular tartar sauce with crab boil seasoning(?). Wish I would have thought of that! The hand washing station is a nice touch. You're going to get your hands dirty eating seafood, so why not be up front about it! I only sampled the catfish, so that will be on my mind next time! When I'm back in town, I'll want to come back for a visit.

Uh, with a name like "Eat My Catfish", I had to check it out and in my mind... it had better be good! When you approach and enter the building they've got bragging rights posted of "Best in the state" this, and "Winner of" that, so with this, my antennas were totally tuned in to see what all the fuss was about! Well, the hubs and I visited for lunch today and... I've gotta' give it to them, they're definitely WINNERS! How do you deep-fat-fry catfish and it not feel or taste the slightest bit greasy??? (I literally stared at my catfish after I bit into it with this thought in mind!) The sides were also spot on, which is not the norm when the main meat items are that good! Another star added. I'm a southern girl, and I know fried fish. This was an EPIC first impression. Randall was also a gracious host! I cannot wait for my dad to visit, he'll lose his mind!

    So far so good!!!

Its always with caution that I order fried catfish outside of Jackson, AL. Back in 1987 on my first trip to Tulsa Workshop my ol friend Geo and I ate fried catfish on the way in Fort Smith. Hence for the memories I stepped outside my comfort zone! The fried okra, cole slaw, and french fries were excellent. FFs reminence of Checkers. Also, fried apple pie for dessert reminded of the days of eating my grannys. Very good. Many tables were indulging in boiled crawfish. The aroma was great and they looked great. Now to the catfish...greasy and limp. I love thin and crispy. Perhaps I should have made this request when ordering. Rating based on the total package. Just not for me.

My wife and I have been to Mike's Place many times for many different occasions over the years…read more It's our go-to restaurant when we want delicious food and dependable service. The restaurant is decorated tastefully in a quaint New Orleans style, and the atmosphere is dress casual and calm, perfect for nice, quiet get together. The restaurant is not designed for a high volume of people, so reservations are best because they stay busy. As I mentioned, Mike's Place is New Orleans themed, and the menu reflects this style, but there are many delicious options. My wife and I made 6:00 pm reservations for our 41st wedding anniversary. We arrived around 5:45 pm but we were seated before 6:00. Our server, Dallas, was very friendly and attentive and took care of all our dining needs. We first ordered the Coconut Shrimp appetizer. This arrived quickly and was hot and well prepared. The Coconut Shrimp comes with a delicious dipping sauce. For our entrees, my wife ordered the Atlantic Salmon with fried okra and baked potato, all of which was served hot and well prepared. My wife has dairy allergies and she requested a butter substitute for the baked potato, and Dallas was able to provide margarine instead of butter. I ordered the Commodore's Platter, which comes with Lobster Tail, Dungeness Crab Claws, White Fish and Shrimp with salad and one side. You can get the seafood prepared grilled, blackened or fried. Even though a "platter" sounds like a lot of food, it was filling but not too much. This was another excellent experience at Mike's Place, and we'll definitely be back!

Came in for a Sazarac and a snack and was pretty disappointed…read more The Sazarac was over ice and was strongly flavored with the absinthe, which is typically a rinse on the glass. The crab cake... well first thing iceberg lettuce is in the news giving people explosive diarrhea but it was a good idea to garnish my plate with dead iceberg lettice. The crab didn't taste like fresh crab and it was full of fillers. Not what I'm use to. The atmosphere was meh. The restaurant itself was clean and pretty. The service. Meh as well. It wasn't bad but not a stand out either.

One of the saddest steakhouse experiences I've ever had. When we walked in on Saturday night at…read morealmost 6pm, there were only two tables. No one was at the front and it took almost 5 minutes for anyone to notice we were there. Best part is their music wasn't working the whole evening, so we got to enjoy the lovely sounds of awkward silence, the kitchen phone ringing, the dishwasher running, and our waitress listening to youtube on her phone. For two people with two very sad steaks, one side each, bread, and 3 coronas came out to over $200. Ordered a rare filet, it was served medium. It was covered in seasoning I assume to mask the poor quality of the filet. My husband got the ribeye and complained of a very odd taste in his mouth the whole time. I could've ordered the exact same meal at outback for half the price and had a better experience. The cold untoasted bread they served that you had to pay for literally looked and smelled like bagged sliced bread. We were one of 3 tables the entire 2 hours we were there. It took almost an hour to get our steaks with only 2 tables there before us. It took our waitress about 10 minutes to just run our card and finish our check so we could leave. She took her sweet time either being on her phone or getting drinks for other tables etc while we were waiting. My husband said he's never seen a slower moving waitress and it was insane how long everything took considering there were only 6 other people in the entire restaurant. When they did get some music to play, they played the same 3 very obnoxious jazz songs on repeat, and the volume varied the entire time. Sometimes it was too loud to hear each other talk, then there'd be a gap of silence for about 5 mins, then the music would start playing at such a low level you could hear the waitress's phone playing youtube clear across the restaurant. One of the saddest overpriced dining experiences I've had in a long time. You could tell the second you walk in that no one really gives a crap. The tables are very awkwardly placed, the lighting was unpleasant, there was one light going through a flicker cycle the whole night. All the bar chairs (which no one was sitting in) were haphazard and everything just looked like it was falling apart or unkempt. It's sad because you could really do a lot with this space, but whoever is managing this place is running it into the ground. You can tell based on the fact that they had a total of 4 tables the entirety of Saturday night that this place won't last much longer. I'll be shocked if it lasts through the year.
