We only spent this morning in flagstaff and holy, it was super indie hipster! I'm vegan so we found something that would have vegan items and this was the place! Took me back to 2011 hipster era! Love love love! I got a dirty chai and a hummus wrap, both amazing! It was cool just sitting there have our meal. Everything was so relaxed! The staff were a bit upset that morning, not smiling, and kind if threw a side of avocado on the table when my boyfriend forgot to ask for it in the initial order, but that's ok, we weren't bothered too much by it. Off we even come back to this city we will definitely come back here!

Super cute restaurant with the friendliest staff serving great menu filled with variety of selections! I highly recommend the Superfood Salad..the apple cider vinaigrette is delicious!

The protein bowl was not only tasty, but it was huge. I had three meals of delicious, scrambled eggs, pico, cheese, and avocado. This had been my first time in so I was appreciative of the cozy feel and the helpful staff. There's a variety of seating options from traditional tables and booths to couches. Nice overall and good coffee, too.

Driving into AZ we stopping here for a quick bite for lunch. The gal at the ordering counter was super friendly and helpful with recommendations. I went with the superfood salad (very tasty) and the coconut curry soup. The prices are on the higher side however, the quality of the food is fresh/ homemade. Recommend and would definitely come back.

Eat n Run was recommended to me by a friend. It did not disappoint! My husband and I came in right before the morning rush - it got SO busy as we were enjoying our food! We both had breakfast burritos - I had chorizo and my husband had sausage. They were stuffed with filling and we loved the slight crunch to the tortilla! We also shared a cinnamon roll - we had a few bites in the restaurant and took the rest home. It was dynamite!! I had the Sierra - espresso, brown sugar syrup, and oat milk. It was so yummy!! The interior is so cute and there are lots of tables. Overall, this is a solid place to grab a bite! We would definitely return.

This place is awesome!!! The staff is friendly, and the food options were perfect. Coffee was excellent and finally, we love to support independent biz owners Next trip to Flagstaff will definitely include a few meals here!!!

Oops, I ate 1/3 of it before remembering to shoot a pic. Florentine Lavosh

We just bought a house right up the street - had driven by but never stopped in. So glad we did! The Florentine Lavosh was really good. Fast service, not crowded + lots more on the menu we want to try.

We are here for lunch again. The previous sandwich was such a hit with the family. This time we opt to eat our lunch here. Come in and the menu for food is on the side wall and menu for drinks are behind the counter. Nice music in the background and quiet for late lunch time of 1:20pm. Order at counter and staff was patient and friend Harvest salads without feta: very good. 4 stars. Superfood salad: (since I liked their umami kale so much) but for some reason there was no kale in my salad. Sad but what can I do as I was hungry, I just devoured it. It still tasted decent so I can't complain. French dip: 4 stars again but eating it hot this time. Italian hoagie: 4 stars. again but eating it hot. Overall good food. Just pay attention to make sure your order is correct.

I got the Flagstaff Fog which was so lovely and the breakfast sandwich with egg and an impossible sausage patty. The croissant was warm and buttery and the sandwich was great value for the price. They also sold some really cute merch!

I've eaten here countless times and I'm never disappointed. They serve breakfast and lunch and have a variety of dishes, including vegetarian options. I can truly say there's nothing bad on this menu! The staff is always super welcoming and friendly and the ambiance is refreshing. It's a smaller space and it does get pretty busy, so be aware of that. The best part is that the cafe is family owned, with roots in Playa del Carmen, MX. **July 2026: Tuesday and Wednesday Morning**…read more I usually make it a point to try new places when I travel, so the fact that I ate at Forêt FLG twice in the same trip should say everything about how much I enjoyed it. I was initially drawn in after hearing that Chef Sam Greenhalgh was a semifinalist for the 2024 James Beard Award (Best Chef: Southwest), and I was curious to try his food for myself. On my first visit, my friend and I ordered the Canelés de Bordeaux, Pain au Chocolat, Soft Scrambled Egg Plate, and Breakfast Burrito. We came back again for breakfast and tried the scrambled eggs toast and a savory waffle. Everything we had was delicious, but the Soft Scrambled Egg Plate was truly something special. The eggs were unbelievably light and fluffy, paired with perfectly buttered, toasted bread that somehow felt magical in its simplicity. The heirloom tomatoes and creamy avocado added such a fresh, balanced touch. It's a simple dish, but the execution was exceptional--and honestly, that's what makes it so memorable. I know it sounds a little crazy to return twice for something so simple, but it was just that well done. The breakfast burrito was a strong second favorite. We took it to go as we continued our road trip toward the Four Corners Monument, and it held up really well. It was packed with flavor, and I especially loved that the tortilla had a nice crisp to it. The pastries were also excellent--flaky, buttery, and everything you'd hope for--but for me, that scrambled egg plate is the standout and something I would come back for again and again.

We had a standard queen room both times and it's spacious, bathroom has two sinks one in and one out so yconvenient for two people sharing. The pool is a roundish shape but large enough to swim some laps when there aren't a lot of children there. There are four 2 level inter connected buildings and #4 being the furthest away from the lobby - you can park your car (parking is free) close to any building but it's a bit of a walk on foot. Location is a bit out of town not walking distance to downtown Flagstaff. Rating it a 3 star due to service. On a day when they don't seem to be full they still wouldn't accommodate a late check out by just an hour (at noon instead of 11 am) which I didn't think would have made any difference to them but would have made a huge one for us. Then there is the breakfast. Nice dining room and all, but service was slow and the food came lukewarm, this at a time when it was early and hardly anyone in the dining room. And in addition to that, I had tea and it came in a tea pot with one weak tea bag, and as I like my tea strong I asked for another tea bag in the same pot and was told I'd be charged a second pot of tea ($5). This kind of stinginess just doesn't befit the seeming stature of such a hotel. And finally, the teacup they gave me had a long crack in it - I discovered it when i saw the saucer filing up with tea and didn't think I spilled any in it. The crack was old and stained, not a new one, so it was shocking that no staff had noticed it for this long and cared enough to not continue using it. Let's just say I'd never encountered broken cups like this in lesser priced motels. For this trip to Flagstaff I also had a two-night stay in another hotel downtown and other than the swimming pool, it was much better value and more comfortable with more helpful staff - and no broken tea cups!

We were intrigued enough that we visited MartAnne's the very next night for dinner. That was on a Tuesday at around 6PM and it wasn't too busy the entire time we were there. House Horchata ($5.99) - This drink comes in a giant 32 oz Ball jar with tons of ice. Per the server it's made with milk and condensed milk, no rice milk at all. It's rich, thick, creamy, sweet, filled with earthy notes of vanilla and cinnamon. There's so much spice included that at some points, there's almost a gritty feeling while drinking. It's perfect for a hot day after hiking. Buckwheat Pancake ala carte ($4.99) - Buckwheat pancakes are something we've never seen before on a diner menu in the past. It seems to be pretty common around Arizona, so we had to give it a try before leaving Flagstaff. This one's pretty big, almost plate sized. It's really moist, fluffy, bouncy, and light with a slight sweetness and a certain earthy flavor. It's moist enough that it sticks to the ceramic plate it's served on. The pancake is somewhat crumbly due to the low gluten content of buckwheat, although I believe they use a mix of buckwheat and wheat flour to give some more stability. It's bluish grey in color with black specks of ground buckwheat throughout. It's dusted with powdered sugar, but it's not a ton, making the pancake not really sweet at all. The pancake comes with a small cup of their cinnamon honey butter. It's not mixed that well, leaving it mostly unhomogenized with streaks of honey and spice through the softened salted butter. Tamale ala carte ($4.99) - MartAnne's offers two types of tamales - the first a red chile beef, and the second a green corn and cheese. We went with the latter, which is a homemade tamale with a somewhat looser, coarsely ground masa shell surrounding an interior of yellow sweet corn kernels, a bouncy and somewhat spongy block of Oaxaca cheese, and a fragrant green chile. There's a slight sweetness throughout and the tamale overall is easy to eat. Chilaquiles, Xmas, Fratelli ($17.99) - This is a monster sized plate of a mishmash of ingredients. There are three things as essentially a base layer. Firstly some Mexican rice that's tender, moist, and fluffy, totally unlike the more common dry and and compact version. My guess is that they skip the initial frying step that helps keeps the starch together. It's quite fragrant and has gives a bit of heat. On top of the rice is a layer of hash browns. The potatoes are tender on the interior, griddled on one side to give a delightful crunch, although there's some acridity that develops. Another third of the plate is covered with chili beans - tender pinto beans that are well salted and seasoned. Then there's the eggs stuffed in between layers of corn tortilla chips, smothered with sauce. I went with the Christmas combination of red and green sauce, followed up by the Fratelli-style pork green chile. The green sauce is fragrant and vegetal, while the red sauce is more smoky. The pork, which is cut into chunks, on top is a bit tough and dry but there's more than enough sauce to make up for that slight demerit. Finally, there's a small mound of I believe jalapeno peppers, cut into small neon-green colored pieces. Some pieces are spicy, some are mild, all have a vegetal pepper taste. I found the food at MartAnne's to be pretty good. It definitely hits the spot after hiking all around the area for most of the day. Bathrooms - Two individual rooms, one for men, one for women. Note: MartAnne's charges a 3.5% credit card fee. This is labeled on the menu.

Apparently the previous owner died in 2009 and the new owner who was her best friend took over. This business has been here for 40 years and I hope it will be here for 40 more. Apparently every ingredient is locally sourced from their very own farm, and everything is made from scratch. They even lab tested their food to be heart healthy and low sodium. So this was perfect! I went into this with the mindset not to expect really super flavorful food like how you would if it wasn't low sodium, but they did a great job of bringing it the natural flavors of each ingredient in perfect harmony. I don't think I've ever had a better meal in flagstaff and I'm definitely coming back.
