It has just the right amount of noodles and tender beef, and it's even topped with crispy fried pork skins that add the perfect crunch. If you enjoy spicy food, this is definitely a dish you need to try. The food comes out fairly quickly, so don't be surprised if your appetizer and entrée arrive around the same time. We were greeted and seated relatively quickly and looked over the menu at our table. We asked the waitress if they had fish cakes, since we saw pictures of them on Yelp from this place. She didn't say anything, just pointed at something completely different on the menu. My wife repeated "fish cakes," and she pointed at the chive cakes. It looks like they used to serve them and took them off. That's a simple question with a simple answer, but instead of just saying that, she pointed at a menu twice and made it feel like we were bothering her. We started with the larb chicken and it was good. Limey, strong fish sauce, a little spicy, good contrasting textures. All good things. It's also the only thing I took a picture of, since by that point the experience had started to sour. For entrees, my wife got the boat noodles and I got the krapow. I asked the server to confirm the chicken was ground and she said yes. It came out sliced. Turns out the ground chicken version is on the menu as Chop-Chop Basil, but I was unfamiliar with the menu. It was an easy thing for her to correct but she didn't. I didn't make a thing of it, but it was annoying. I only had a bite of the boat noodles, but it was good. Nice balance of savory with a touch of sweetness. The meatballs were soft and bouncy, the meat was tender, good textures all around. The krapow was very good, mix-up aside. I asked for Thai spicy and they delivered. Excellent flavor, very tender meat, not too sweet. Probably one of the better krapows I've had out here. The part that really soured it was overhearing the manager with another table. An elderly couple and a friend had asked for their vegetables cooked well done since they can't chew firm food. They sent it back saying it was still too firm. The manager came out and basically yelled at them, saying they'd already cooked it longer than usual and couldn't cook it any more, and that next time he'd just put it in a blender. The couple had been nothing but kind about the whole thing. The kitchen did end up cooking it longer, but he never came back out to check if it was actually satisfactory. Maybe that isn't required, but the whole thing read like he was annoyed with them. The food here is excellent, easily five stars on its own. I'm docking a star for service. It was rude how they spoke to the elderly customers, rude to point silently at a menu instead of just saying the fish cakes are gone, and frustrating to be told the meat was ground when it wasn't. I'm not sure I can go back and dine in because it felt like we were a nuisance the whole time. I'll probably do carry out from now on. The inside is small and quaint and it looks like it gets busy around dinner, so come early if you want a table.

Pretty sastified as we've heard positive reviews and seek authentic Thai food. We came a long way from virginia and totally happy with it. The decor and place is cozy. The owner is friendly and service was fast.. even though the place was packed on Sunday night. Our food arrived shortly less than 15 minutes. I ordered beef noodle soup and love it. My wife had Ladna seafood and definitely happy with her choice. Food by far is the best in this area and the pricing is great too.It was great as we drove 30 miles to get there and they made it worth coming back. I'm usually not a big fan of spicy food but I love thai food! I usually search for restaurant near me when I'm out of town and here I come! We found Eathai on yelp so I think we should try it out! I went there on last Thursday night during a friend visit in rockville area. It was 4 of us entering the place at around 7.30pm and they were quite busy. Solid place. l'm glad I didn't read Yelp before I went there. Some of the comments are kind of scary, but not anything I have experienced and I have dined in many time. Love this THAI place, tiny but so good, I tried the wings. They were Good but I wasn't particularly impressed. They weren't crispy like I expected so I popped them in the oven for about 10 minutes on high heat. The beef salad is always good and I enjoyed the mango rice. read more

The fried rice was also disappointing, with large chunks of plain white rice mixed in, almost as if they were stretching a batch of fried rice instead of preparing it properly. On top of that, we haven't received fortune cookies in the last four orders. It may seem small, but when you're paying for a full meal, that little touch matters. Skipping them feels careless. Normally, I would bring this up with management, but past in-person experiences have not been pleasant or helpful, so we've kept our orders strictly through DoorDash. Unfortunately, after tonight, we won't be ordering again. It's disappointing because we used to really enjoy this place.

I mean, it's still here for a reason, right?. It's a hidden gem- from the staff that screams out when you make an order, to the 90s sitting arrangement, to the big Chinese painting that's been the source of many of my dinner nights wondering if China actually looks like that, and the big mirror to look at yourself to make sure sauce didn't drip on your shirt. The food of preference- their crème de la cream- is the orange chicken (spicy), lo mein (any... but if you get anything other than the pork I'm judging you), and beef and broccoli. First of all... can we just ask the obvious question here... who gets chicken wings from a Chinese restaurant? What a surprise it's not as good as wingstop....
