Ate here today and this may be my last time. Eat n Park food is becoming disgusting. The chicken tenders are more expensive, smaller and not the same breading. They used to be the best anywhere. The side fruit is often hard, sour. or sometimes slimy. The super burger buns are cold and fall apart. The crinkle fries, the ones served before this were much better) are often little stubs and the baked potatoes are hard and often served luke warm with hardly any butter. You can't find any one to get some extra butter, but by then your potato is cold. Not to even start how lousy breakfast is. I used to love Eat n Park, but no longer. read more

We arrived at about 6 pm and it was pretty empty. My mom and I got the salad bar and my dad had the Italian grilled cheese. Our serve Eve was lovely and very efficient. The salad bar was bit disappointing but we made it work. The soups were ok. My dad's sandwich was barely melted but he was hungry so he ate it. The restaurant was clean so that was a bonus. Got an older lady as a server and first she brought me a hot turkey instead of a turkey club. It was my fault I said I'd just eat it but I just couldn't it was so gross the bread was stale and the meat was awful. I got an add on salad bar which said 4.99. My son got a burger with one side and he had to stop eating everything because the fry gravy had dried lumps of gravy in it so he didn't eat his. She said she would take off the sandwich and the bill was $35.26 plus a $7 tip. So basically for a burger and salad bar and two drinks it was $35. Something didn't seem right. And she even ask my son what was wrong with his because he didn't eat his either. Just threw away $40 and still hungry. read more

You cannot make reservations for large parties but are expected to call ahead and let them know you're coming with a large party. We called three times over a 2 week period to let them know we were coming and hoped to use their party room on a specific date. (I often host nonprofit meetings at kings, but kings was booked so the closest comparable restaurant nearby was this E&P.) The night of our meeting, I went an hour before everyone else to ensure we could sit in the party room and was still met with confusion/annoyance and was even told they were unsure if they could accommodate us anywhere in the restaurant. We did end up being accommodated and server was great though. Food quality has gone seriously downhill since covid. I had the buffalo chicken salad and it was much smaller than I remember, lettuce was not fresh, and the chicken was tough and primarily breading. read more

I ordered a hamburger with a gluten- free bun for takeout from the McMurray Eat n Park. I've ordered this before to eat in various Eat 'n Parks and been very satisfied. But today the bun was rock hard and basically inedible. Hard to believe I paid extra. Should've saved the money and gotten the burger without a bun. read more

This location is very hit or miss based on the staff. The food is generally pretty good, but service can be shaky. Last time, our waitress (an older woman) didn't greet us or introduce herself, she walked up to our table and only said "what do you want" soon after we had sat down. It was just bizarre and unwelcoming, I had never experienced anything like it. I have also had multiple issues with the salad bar, where the waiter said that I could order it, and I walk up and a staff member is about to or in the process of putting everything away. My issues may be one offs due to specific staff members, as it is usually clean and the food is pretty good. But I seem to have more issues here than elsewhere. read more

Gave this location multiple chances to no avail. If you're lucky you get decent food and lousy service but in my last couple times it has been both horrible service and horrible food. Each time the excuse is the kitchen is really busy/slammed/understaffed. This is the last time I'll be going there. I was hungry for an old fashioned hamburger and my hubby wanted a turkey with stuffing dinner.solution was Eat'n Park! I had had a mushroom cheeseburger with side salad and coleslaw. Very good except mushrooms were difficult to taste and find. Bun was greasy but tasty. My hubby's turkey dinner filled his plate with thick slices of real turkey. His plate was licked clean so he must have enjoyed it. Lots of food for $26. Service was quick and Pittsburgh style friendly. Seeing all those advertisements for the return of Eat'n Parks strawberry pie I found it hard to resist. So I made my way over to pick one up for after diner that night. The girl at the service counter was very friendly and boxed up the delicious looking pie overflowing with huge juicy red strawberries. It was right around $10.50 so it was a good price. After we ate later that evening we got set to try it with great anticipation on my part. Let me just say that the looks of this pie far exceeded the taste. The berries were large, and tasteless, surrounded by the most aritifical tasting glaze. Topped with fake whipped cream, and all poured into an underbaked crust. I realize that nearly all purchased desserts are not as good as homemade, but this pie was so disappointing. Still haven't eaten here, but after trying that pie I'm not sure if I ever can. This restaurant is consistently bad!!!! When we were seated, there was food on the floor. The manager came by and said what a mess it was but didn't bother to have someone clean it up. Super sad with the service and staff :( We were barely acknowledged by anyone even after waiting 45 minutes for our food when there was less than 10 people in the whole restaurant. I had a meeting to attend that evening and could not wait anymore so I asked for the manager so he came over dripping in sweat apologizing. I assumed he took over the kitchen, but our waitress could've just told us. It was all so hush hush. The food was not bad, it just was hard to enjoy when I had to shovel it down my throat to make it out of there in time. Im not sure how I feel about returning to this location. We were going out for breakfast today and couldn't decide between Bob Evans next door, or here. I got outvoted and we arrived around 10:45am. We were seated right away and our server with zero personality and permanent RBF arrived quickly to take our orders. Drinks took much longer. She offered us the breakfast buffet and helped us look up the price. Over $9 I thought was a bit high. We all ordered off of the breakfast menu. For some reason, although the place wasn't busy, it took 4EVER to get our food. I occasionally work at a breakfast restaurant out of state and know how long all items take to cook. Over 40 minutes is unacceptable! This caused me to be stressed about time and have to break the law speeding to get where I needed to be on time! And the food was mediocre at best and barely warm. Every single time I come here, I regret it. A line of people were waited to be seated and it took about 5 minutes for the greeter to come back from seating the people ahead of us. The man in front of my group had to ask a girl on her break to get someone to do their job. After being seated, service was incredibly slow. The table behind ours was never served so they went to the salad bar, got full salads, and left them untouched. We saw our waitress twice while we were there (she was nice but still). This was terrible. We spent two hours for breakfast. Forty minutes after we ordered they finally brought out our food the first time, and everyone's food was cold. Everything. We spoke to the manager, who offered to remake the food for us. Another 40 minutes and the food was back, only marginally better. The waffle on the chicken and waffles was limp, and the bacon was swimming in grease. Shockingly, the manager didn't discount our meal. We like to go here on Sunday mornings for breakfast. No matter how crowded it is, the service is always good, the wait staff is friendly and professional and sometimes our food comes before I can even finish my first cup of tea. Honestly, I don't recommend the breakfast bar but the pancakes, waffles and French toast that we usually order are always cooked up fresh and are delicious. The syrup isn't the runny, watery kind either. Just as important as the meals is the fact that you can hear each other talk, unlike a lot of other restaurants where you can barely hear the person sitting next to you. Horrible service. It took 10 min before anyone even approached me. Another 5 minutes to get coffee. 40 minutes later I had to ask for the manager. Never got my food, or even received a refill on the coffee. The manager said the food was backed up. I'm not sure how this is possible when other tables with multiple people came and left while I still waited. On another note, the waitresses here look dirty. I understand you have to wear your hair up, but for goodness sakes, put a brush through it. This uncleansiness is not just from today, but is all the time. See for yourself. The last two times my family and I stopped by this Eat'n Park it was for the Breakfast buffet. Both times I swore we wouldn't go back. We decided to give them one more chance this morning, what a mistake! To start, our waitress was so slow. We got our drinks after we got our food. Now, let's get to the buffet. The eggs are usually substandard, but today they were like chewing on rubber. They had no strawberry muffins out. When we asked about them, we were told they were baking some. They never came out with any the entire time we were there! The toast and the French toast were hard as a rock. They did a horrible job of keeping the fresh fruit and bowls stocked. I guess they should pay me to tell them what needs refreshed. The blueberry yogurt tasted like cardboard. Not like any blueberry yogurt I've ever tasted. This is a brand new restaurant, in an affluent suburb of Pittsburgh. It should be held to a higher standard. I can guarantee we will not be going to that Eat N Park again. read more

Small and just odd. Dined here twice and the second time was my last. (see tip below) I'm not sure why some experiences are sooo much better than others when it comes to the various E&P locations but I will give you and example. I ordered the hot turkey sandwich...one of my faves. When it was brought out, the gravy has the consistency of water with basically no flavor at all and I ended up with a soggy bread sandwich. My waitress couldn't understand what I was talking about but anyone who knows anything about gravy knows it should at least coat your spoon, right? Anyway, corporate E&P apologized and sent a gift card so I could dine at my location of choice...the one near South Hills Village Mall...and that's the reason for the star. read more

Sorry, I couldn't give zero stars but that's what this place reserved. I ordered a hamburger and salad bar. It was Sunday Morning so waitress immediately said, sorry, breakfast bar is there you can't order salad bar. I wasn't given the option to pay for the breakfast bar and have the hamburger. I opted to order nothing and wait while family ate their meal. Glad I didn't get bar, my wife ordered the breakfast bar, the lettuce was old and withered, the chicken dry and appeared to have been there since the day before. My grandson ordered the child's meal of macaroni and cheese with side of fries. He may have had 9 to 10 small fries on his plate. Waitress not at all friendly but was more on the abrupt side. I will never visit this location again. Nasty looking food, glad I didn't order any of what nasty the rest of the family ordered. read more
