I had a gel pedi with Ashley and absolutely enjoyed the experience. She was so easy going and was very patient to take care of me despite having a full schedule with some delays and one more client after me. The spa experience is worth the extra $$ compared to your avg nail salon. She helped me picked out a beautiful shade for the winter months. I don't splurge on pedicures too much but feel Luke id come back just to be pampered again. I first heard of Hiatus through a Yelp Elite event that essentially gave us a free massage or facial here. As someone who is extremely ticklish and has never had a facial, I was a bit skeptical at first. But given how transformative that first experience was (I went with a hot stone massage), I became absolutely hooked and had to come back to try their facials. Though a bit far for someone who lives in Downtown OKC, the drive up North is absolutely worth it. Upon entering, they asked me if I wanted a beverage while waiting - I happily obliged. My masseuse, Ashley, was right on time and extremely professional. During the facial, she made sure to explain each product she was applying - that, combined with the soothing background music literally put me to sleep around halfway through. No joke, its that relaxing! I left feeling extremely refreshed and my face felt buttery smooth! I will have to go back again for Round 3 and attempt to stay awake this time! read more

...where to begin!? I had to take almost a week to decide how to address this "spa" and first things first... IT'S NO SPA. The signs in the front entrance says "shhhhhh sessions in session" or something..then you open the door to the lobby I guess and you get hip-hop/pop music as if you've entered your favorite h.s mall store. We came 15 mins early as stated but it wasn't necessary. We never signed any waivers, changed into any robes/slippers or had a place to put our personal belongings. We were sat in a cute little love seat and was asked if we would like coffee, water or tea!? (In my head..can I get a cup of Blush or red wine) but I ask for Peppermint tea and my husband a water. She said she didn't have peppermint but later came back stating she found some. It smelled like tea but it totally could have been peppermint oil or something cuz it literally just tasted like boiled water. As we sat there, staring into the back window behind the counter at the warehouse ceiling...I tell myself try to relax. (Side note, these are appointments from Valentine's day. I was forced to reschedule or told I'd be charged the cancelation fee even due to inclement weather.) The young girl comes out (don't know her name) assuming she's a tech/front desk receptionist ‍ told us our soaks were ready and she would show us back. So, I'm holding this cup of boiling water tea, my purse, jacket...(cat, dog, briefcase or whatever else I would have come in the door with) and we are walked to this big general area. This was the warehouse ceiling I was looking at. I'm seeing a bar I think because there were glasses and alot of bar stools randomly all over. I thought it was an extra room but to my surprise we are shown to our seats. Cold, hard, DIRTY tile was under my feet. I had to ask for a towel to lay on the floor because I gagged at the thought of my bare feet on ANY tile floor, but I'm looking at dirt, hair, dust, trash, debris etc and this is our spa??? Anyway, keep an open mind I said. They pull out these drawers from under the chair to expose the bowl for us to start our soak. Not sanitary AT ALL. Check pics. The water was terribly hot and my poor husband had to have the little girl bring over like 2 buckets of cold water to cool (dilute) the "special soak" for our feet. She even added some to mine and I like hot water okay!! Hold on there's more. The chairs were hard, made of wood ,no padding hardly and zero massage on chair. Oh, get this, no head rest!!! My husband had to hold his giant head up by enter locking his fingers. They had a pillow at the small of your back but it's a regular sized pillow. We get settled. Purse, coat and belongings nudged behind me in this little chair...we sat there. And sat. Where are the two girls listed on my confirmation?? IPeppermint scrub w/ _____. Two different names for my husband and I. So, I'm expecting someone to be doing some type of hands on scrubbing I'm assuming. NOPE. You just sit there by yourself. Not alone either. They brought in these young girls that I guess were waiting for hair service and we got to sit there and enjoy their stories from the weekend parties. Loud laughter echoes through our relaxing spa soak. Not really echos...they were literally feet away from us. I could see all their faces. So again, what spa?? I asked for the manager then. Hang with me, still more... In walked the manager. The other lady that spoke to us in the lobby that we saw walk in late wearing sandals, pajama pants and bed hair???!!! I ask, is this all? Us sitting here in an uncomfortable chair, cold tile, no head rest, no privacy, no tech, NO!!! WE ARE PAYING$$$ for a full spa day including massages and facials. There is no way I'm going any further into this. I ask her to charge us for the soak so we could go. She wanted to charge me for cancelling. The whole service for the both of us if we left or we could stay and continue on with our appointments. After about 15 minutes of pointing out all the problems starting with the music, no robes/slippers, lack of professionalism, lack of privacy, lack of cleanliness, lack of professional techs (they were all in random street clothes with hanging layers and accessories to match) she finally gave in and said she would allow us to leave without paying for any service. That was a nice gesture. She even offered us some of their products they had sitting out on the shelves collecting dust. Nice dusty bars of unwrapped soaps and seemingly nice showers bombs were given to us in excess in an attempt to salvage the horrible experience. I was shaking when I left there. Please, this is NOT Titus spa. It's no spa. The manager tried but it's far from a spa. Go elsewhere. I don't recommend, I wouldn't recommend, I'd be a terrible person to do so knowing what they would get. read more

I was gifted a 90 minute massage and facial here a few months ago. It was such a relaxing experience. You are seated and greeted with a warm neck pillow while you wait for your session. I prefer deep tissue and Alyssa recommend the hot stones add on so I gave it a try. I loved the massage and the facial was great. There are a wide variety of add ons for facials and massages that create a very personalized experience. I have been back once already and plan to get a 90 minute deep tissue massage at least every other month. read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about this spa. I have had half a dozen massages with different therapists, and they have all been excellent. I'm not easy - I have fibromyalgia and torn rotator cuffs and these women just got in there and did their best to get me all untwisted. I think the prices are competitive and I have usually been able to make last minute appointments with ease. The women at the front desk are always pleasant, too. Did not provide the full time I paid for by 25 minutes. Did not provide the deep tissue pressure I paid for after requesting twice. Did not provide the bolster pillow I requested for my ankles facedown/knees face up to support the lower back. Cashier became defensive when I declined to leave a tip. Surprised the hubs for a massage at the spa. The spa is clean and staff is kind. The building is quite large and it may have been a restaurant at some point. The neon lighting and ambiance threw me off a bit and didn't seem quite like a spa, but more like a club. Might be fun for a girls spa day out...drinks, mani/pedi. read more

I purchased a Groupon and waited months to get a hydra facial. Service was OK nothing fantastic. When I made appointment Groupon information was taken, but they said they needed a credit card to hold appointment. I received emails and texts from them. When I left I assumed all was good and Groupon applied. I looked at credit card and next day they had charged full amount for the service. So I paid $195 for Groupon and they charged me $295 day I had service. I have tried reaching out to the manager by phone and never receive a return phone call. Buyer beware and I definitely would not recommend this place. Not the way to run a business and I have never had a problems with other merchants I have purchased Groupons for in the past. read more

Wow! I'm so appreciative Yelp did an Elite event here! I came back to try a pedicure after trying a massage a few weeks ago and again, did not leave disappointed. Right when you walk in you feel relaxed and are greeted by the most friendly staff. Ashley did a phenomenal pedicure. I went with the honeydew pedicure. She'd explained all the products being used and I left with soft and smooth feet. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other unique pedicures! My husband gifted me a spa day here. I loved the facial but the manicure and pedicure were nothing more than a cuticle cleanup and polish change. Oh my goodness, request Ashley! She is so patient and attentive and genuine! She explains what she is doing every step of the way and answers any questions you have pleasantly. She is absolute perfection when it comes to manicures. I had a coupon for 50% off a spa service, so I did the apres extensions and dip manicure. It was so awesome though, I would have had no problem paying full price for it. The salon is very private and calm/quiet. I appreciate that the salon has a rule of allowing the cosmetologists to take their time so that your experience is amazing. I recently visited Hiatus for a facial. First let me address the physical grounds and building.: It was a very cold, blustery evening appointment and I found that the parking was is a little jaunt from the front door. It involved going down steps, walking across a wooden deck, down more steps and then to the entry doorway. It was cold and I almost fell on the wooden deck when I slipped on something slippery. The area isn't well lit. Now, for the experience: I was greeting by a young woman that was very friendly and warm in her demeanor. I was offered something to drink while waiting for a person who would conduct my facial. I was seated on a well used couch and behind a sliding glass door. Eventually, I was asked to follow her up the stairs to another waiting area and sofa. There were many, and although wide, they were steep. I found them a bit disconcerting when descending then when leaving, because I had been so relaxed. I was taken to a small room and given the opportunity to settle in on the table. It was so warm and toasty! The process began with the cleansing and the smearing of many different lotions and gels upon my face. I believe there must have been seven different layers of goodness. Each with different scents and purposes. She was very good about explaining each process and making my face feel pampered. It was very relaxing, and I hated to see it end. Once concluded, I checked out at the front desk and milled about all the products that they had for sell. They seemed lovely, but I wanted to wait to see how they react with my skin. I would like to report that my usual sensitive skin showed no adverse reactions. In summation, the experience was nice. The prices of the experiences offered, along with the prices of the products would lead one to think they would be pampered in elegant style. However, the surroundings and ambiance was not lending to this premise. Expect a very nice facial, but don't expect fancy. read more

Amazing experience(s) await you at Hiatus Spa!!!! Thank you for the Yelp Elite I started my journey to total relaxation with a facial. The winter/fall had begun to dull my complexion. The location is in... in Edmund, way up there. There are a few stairs, and in icy weather the walkway is a bit precarious. It takes a minute to get there, but once you are at suite H, the reception area is clean, calming and welcoming. I had filled out the forms online from home prior to my visit.... I know, everything has a form, but some of the information is really needed for certain services, such a massages and facials. Once at Hiatus, I was presented with a choice of teas. I had a hot apple tea, and then made my way upstairs. The rooms are nicely sized, and feel warm, cozy and welcoming. My table was heated, and I got ready for my facial. The products are very nice that are used for the facial. I enjoyed the mist from the humidifier as it bubbled away, the music was subtle and conversation naturally ebbed and flowed as my face was massaged with amazing concoctions leaving me feel energized and relaxed and a complexion that was dewy and refreshed. I then booked a Honeydew massage, with CBD, and a Honeydew pedicure. The massage was amazing. I have not found CBD ingestibles to be that helpful for my lower back issues, but the CBD with massage tamped down the symptoms for a few days (and that was well worth the appointment itself). The Pedicure was equally enjoyable and left my feet feeling loved. This location is worth the trek. The services and staff are top notch and I cannot wait to make another appointment. read more

Over the last 6 months, I have been participating in more outdoor running events so taking care of my legs is important. I had heard from a friend that Hiatus has Cryotherapy and as I've been curious about it I wanted to try it out. As a walk-in, I'm always concerned that I won't be able to be seen for a couple of hours but as soon as I got in I was able to get seen. But then I read the fine print... lots of that... and it says way at the bottom: "I expressly assume all risks to me associated with any service offered by Hiatus Wellness Spa/Perfect Image LLC, and waive any claim which I might otherwise bring against Hiatus Wellness Spa, its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, or contractors as a result of injuries resulting from or relating to my participation in one or more services. " ARE YOU CRAZY??? You mean you can give me scars, saw an ear off, leave me blind... and I waive any claim? ...and I can't sue you if you maim me?? Who on earth would sign this ridiculous contract? Nope...not me. I'll be shopping around, thank you very much. I only go to Medispas that stand behind their services and don't try to use lawyer-ease to get out of a potential lawsuit if one of their people screw up. No. Thank. You. I will keep looking. Response From Hiatus: "...Fortunately, our well-trained staff has never encountered any issues and we stand by their wonderful work..." Sorry but your actions say otherwise. If you STOOD BEHIND YOUR WORK, you would not have such a "get out of jail" free card in your contract. I have gone to MANY medispas... from NYC, to Dallas, to SF... and none of them have stuff like that in their contracts. What are you afraid of? Why on earth would anyone agree forgo the right to sue you if you damage them? It doesn't make sense. read more

I had an overall horrible experience with Echelon Spa. After putting out an inquisition on Yelp for an 8 person bridal party manicure appointment, Echelon spa reached out to me. They assured me that they could handle an 8 person party. After looking at other reviews, I figured it would be a fun experience for my party- different than a more traditional nail salon. I put down a 50% deposit ($180) for the 8 gel manicures I was booking, 2 weeks before my appointment. As requested by the salon, I messaged them 7 days before the appointment with a more detailed list of what each person in our party wanted done on their nails. They confirmed the message. When we arrived to the salon a week later for our appointment, we arrived 15 minutes early as requested. Our technicians were 10 minutes late to our appointment, and there were only 3 of them- not the 4 that were promised upon scheduling. The technicians started with the 3 of us who needed gel/dip soaked off of our nails, which proceeded to take 40 minutes. I have never in my life had dip or gel take longer than 15-20 minutes to soak off. During this time, they finished only one other person's manicure, a simple single-color gel. Also, I had informed them at the beginning of the appointment that we had another appointment to be at in 2 hours. Based on all of my previous nail experiences, I believed 2 hours was plenty of time for 8 people to get manicures, with 4 technicians. Nearly the entire 2 hours into the appointment, only the one gel manicure was done, 3 dip manicures were in the process (one of these had additional length and design, the other were single-color), and 4 people had not even been touched yet. Two of the members of our party left without getting their nails done at all, and two stayed an additional 1.5 hours- missing the majority of our next appointment. When I finally paid for the appointment, I was assured that my deposit was being applied to my total. When I made concerns about how long the appointment took and how 2 girls never got services done, Ashley told me it was because the girls had all "changed their minds" from the original gel appointment. I expressed that of the four girls who were able to get serviced within the 2 hours, only one girl had switched made an alteration from gel to dip. The other two dips were accounted for in the detailed message 7 days before, to which she responded that she was not informed from her receptionist. This excuse especially frustrated me because the technicians were up-selling the manicures the entire time, encouraging the girls to get dip instead of gel because it lasted longer. I also complained about having 3 technicians instead of the promised 4, to which she made another excuse. At this point I was already 30 minutes late to our next appointment, and was eager to leave. I paid and was told the itemized receipt would be emailed to me. That evening (6/30) when I received the itemized receipt, I noticed that my $180 deposit was not applied to the itemized receipt, as well as an additional $20 that was overcharged for additional nail length. I called twice the next day, and the voicemail box was full so I messaged them. Two days later I received a response, saying that they would look into it and get back to me. On 7/1 I messaged them again, saying I had not received a response. I had attached what I believed to be a list of correct charges, pulled directly from the itemized receipts. This showed how my deposit had not been applied. Here comes the really sketchy part: On 7/19 I called again, and Ashley assured me that the deposit was applied. 2 hours later she messaged me a list of the "correct charges", which included $200 of things not on the itemized receipt. These things included a charge for an additional "gel mani" for the stone nail art for the bride, 3x$10 "extra for long" tacked onto the already-existing charge for additional length for multiple manicures, and $5 for EACH FINGER of nail art for two people, adding up to an additional $50 per person. That charge supposedly made the manicure for each of those two people a total of $140 for an acrylic set with design. Let me reiterate that none of these things were included on my itemized receipt, were not listed on the brochure of services, and were not verbalized to me as additional charges. Additionally, they charged me $25 for "cancelled manis" even though all 8 of the expected party were there for the appointment. The two people who ended up not able to get manicures were present at the appointment, and sat through the entire 2 hours without being serviced at all. What a joke. When I messaged back with these concerns, I was not contacted again. This was two weeks ago. At a grand total of $640, only 6 of my 8 people in the party got their nails done. In reference to my itemized receipts and the brochure prices, I stand by my claim to Echelon Spa that they owe me $200. This "spa" is not worthy of any sort of professional trust. read more

I had my first experience at Hiatus Wellness Spa today, and can't wait to book a second appointment! I had a facial with Ashley and had a lovely experience! She met me at the front desk and immediately greeted me with a beverage and brochure of the spa's services before leading me upstairs to my facial room. The facility itself is way bigger on the inside than how it looks from the outside. The actual facial was heavenly. The bed was warmed and cozy (I almost fell asleep before she even started the facial) and the entire environment was relaxing. Ashley made a point to take a patient history and ask me what specific concerns I had for my face. Aside from her cosmetology license, Ashley also has a higher certification in her facial skin care regimen that she performs on her clients and additionally has higher education in her other cosmetology areas (ex. waxing, diabetic education for pedicures, etc) and really made me feel like she was catering to my specific skin-care needs and expectations. Each product she used was perfect for my oily, acne prone skin and she made sure to explain why she chose what specific product as she was applying each one. She also asked me at the end if I had specific questions over any of the products. Overall she used two different cleansers, an exfoliant, a mask, a serum, eye cream, two different moisturizers, and a lip plumper-balm at the very end. The arm/hand/chest/neck massage was amazing, as well. Ashley also informed me that the spa has an overnight suite available for any out of town clients or anyone who wishes to stay after any kind of plastic surgery procedure. One word to describe this place: TOTALLY CHILL. :)- I appreciate the array of services provided, and the nonchalance of the staff to welcome everyone like a beautiful family member coming in to get pampered. My second visit to this location truly seemed like a resort in the middle of a college town. Ms. Ashley of the nail technicians was perfect, start to finish, explaining her processes and chatting about relevant and nonreactive topics throughout the 1.5 hr salon experience (dip manicure). I may have found my go to spa! I have had two facials with Starr. She is delicate and kind. Starr makes a facial so relaxing that I fell asleep 2-3 times she also prepares me of the product may tingle or give a slight sting. My face is always so soft after a facial. The staff at the front desk is very helpful and kind. Booking an appointment is fairly easy, even adjusting it. I really like that I can do that through their website and also through texting a number. The prices are reasonable, the products used are great. They sell some products there at their front desk area. The lounge area where you wait is comfortable. They are set back into the trees so it can be missed if it is dark out. I did not see any songs out on the street, but maybe a sign out there would help if there is not one already. Hiatus Spa is worth the trip from Moore for me at least. read more

About 6 weeks ago I went here for a pedicure. The technician insisted I have nail fungus. But it was blood under 2 nails due to trauma. I has asked for the Signature pedicure but (without being informed or asked) was charged double. She said she had to charge me for a 'medical pedicure' though she did nothing more than what she would have done for a regular pedicure . I have since gone to my podiatrist who sent toe cultures off ( just in case) and, as expected, they were negative. This technician admitted her only training was on the job. She should not be going around diagnosing when she doesn't know what she's talking about. She also made me feel so ashamed at the time. read more

My massage therapist was great but my massage started 45 minutes late. I arrived early as instructions stated to and was moved to the waiting area. At the time of my appointment I was moved to another area and they put my feet in peppermint soak for 45 minutes until my massage therapist came to get me. The place was super easy to find and had all these amazing little rooms I want to explore.My facial room was like going into hibernation. I've been here twice now and the first time I had a facial and the second time I had a 90 minute massage (with hot stone & deep tissue). I forget the young girls name that I had but she was wonderful! Pleasant, kind, not too chatty and sooo friendly! I would definitely want to see her again! The deep tissue aspect was AMAZING! Probably the best EVER! The hot stone was unremarkable but definitely not bad. I don't think I'd add it on next time, it almost just seemed like a random addition that didn't flow super great. The only negative thing I'd have to say overall is that there was a relatively loud noise coming from the ceiling/vent area during the massage. I could tell it wasn't something that they could help or turn off right then so I didn't bother mentioning it. It wasn't a deal breaker by any means I just found the loud humming/whirling noise to be a little distracting from the relaxing massage. I will 100% be back!
