I wasn't going to leave a review but after sleeping on it and letting it marinade a day, the experience I had here still bothers me so I think I should just give you a heads up. I use to take my nephew here for haircuts all the time and I've gotten my hair cut here before too. The owner Carmen is super nice, good at what she does and very professional. So for Mother's Day, I wanted to make appointments for my mom and I to get our hair done. After more than a year not having done anything to our hair due to the pandemic, this was such a treat and we were both excited! I called the salon and got appointments for both of us one after the other. Well we got there and there were 2 ladies working, Carmen was not there. As people came into the salon asking for her, I found out she was out of town visiting family. Anyways, the 2 ladies were busy working on other people. No one really asked us anything when we walked in so I told one of them we both had appointments. One of the ladies, Martha, finally came and asked what we needed and I told her both my mom and I had appointments. She looked worried and then said we has to wait for the other lady whom she called Lolis, to finish her client and she'd attend us. An hour and a half later, Lolis was finally7th able to attend my mom. When my mom told her what she wanted she said it was fine and went to the back to mix the colors. She came back with one color and my mom told her once again she wanted highlights. Lolis looked at Martha annoyed and said, SHE WANTS HIGHLIGHTS (in spanish). My mom was so surprised and said well if you can't its okay. The lady tried convincing my mom she had just said she wanted one color not highlights so I had to interrupt and say we were there for a service so my mom should be able to get what she wanted right.? This was just the beginning but since this is already looking long I'll just give you the highlights. Lolis rushed through the whole process, complained about her previous clients as they left and my moms hair didn't look the way she had initially showed her. I will point out that her hair looks fine, just not what she had asked for. They totally forgot about MY appointment so I didn't even get anything done and they didn't even offer an apology about not fitting me in or anything they just laughed it off like nothing was wrong with it. When it came time to pay, I left a tip even though I feel like I shouldn't have. She told me she was charging me one amount but when I looked at the receipt again in my car, I realized she was charging me the amount shown in the largest gratuity suggestion. I should've paid more attention when signing the receipt but I'm glad I caught it once I got to the car. I had left a tip on top of the full amount from the largest gratuity suggestion. That was NOT okay. She should have told me the total amount and let ME decide what percent gratuity I wanted to leave. I had to go back in and correct the receipt and she looked annoyed that I was doing so but what she did wasn't okay at all. I don't know if these ladies just don't know how to work on their own without the direction of the owner or what. I thought I could just go back once Carmen was back to work but after that gratuity incident I decided I just can't go back there. Their attitude and work ethic is not professional seeing as they seem to be okay tricking their customers out of extra money. The only reason I left 2 stars is because Carmen is really nice and professional. She should find other hair dressers to work her salon though. read more

If I can give this place more than 5 stars I would!! I usually don't trust salons at all because of the horrible experiences I've had in the past. I haven't visited salons after those experiences and dreaded going anywhere!Today my fiancé forced me to get a cut....& I ended up coming here. The best decision ever!!! Marisol was amazing....she has magical hands!!! She was gentle, and patient!! I have curly hair and it has been difficult to find someone that does a great job. Everyone cut my hair toooo short and were always pulling and tugging....This is the first experience that allows me to trust someone with my hair....Now I'm looking forward to getting my hair colored.....or anything else done to change my look...I most definitely will be coming back!!! Love this place! I went in for my second visit on Saturday and I must say Susie did an excellent job refreshing my color, covering my roots, hair cut and styling my hair. The first time I went on feb. I was taken care of by carmen. She did an excellent job as well. I will advise that you call and make and appointment. I made an appointment to start my hair lightning process. I had dyed my hair black about a year and a half ago and the lady wouldn't even touch my hair. She said she couldn't do it because my hair was too dark? Hmmmm never heard of that. I understand the picture I showed her was of a really blonde ombré I wanted, but I specifically told her my goal was NOT to be blonde that same day, I wanted to take it slow and just see if the black would life and she said she could try but she was 100% sure that my hair would be damaged. Fine. Called around and found somebody else who was more than capable of doing it. Going lighter is a process, you would think somebody who works with hair for a living would know this.
