They have a nice tapas selection and good drinks as well. We tried several tapas including the hummus, Mediterranean salad, olives and almonds, fried goat cheese with honey, Brussels sprouts, calamari with pico de gallo, beef sirloin with chimichurri, fondue de camerones and the paella Barcenolata. Our favorites were the calamari, goat cheese, hummus, paella and the olives. We didn't love the fondue and the beef was a little tough. The drinks were really unique including the Prickly pear margarita and the grapefruit margarita. It can get really loud once the music starts and when it's packed, but it's a wonderful addition to Halcyon and a can't miss spot. read more

First visit. Waitress made suggestions of her favorite tapas. Started with a chicken empanada,brussel sprouts and a shrimp fondue with toast points. All items came out quickly, perhaps a little too quickly. The brussel sprouts were hard, not tender and crispy like my friend, who joined me ,raved about. We both ordered the sprouts- her portion was double the size of mine, so much larger that I asked her, with the server standing there, if she placed a double order, which she didn't. Server shrugged his shoulders and said the kitchen staff preps the dishes, which I understood, but two diners at the same table, ordering the same item, shouldn't have such wildly different portion sizes. It didn't matter, in the end, bc the spouts were not cooked properly. The shrimp fondue was okay, but we didn't finish it. The next item to come to the table was the whole fish entree that we ordered to share. Good flavor and crispy, golden brown. The fish was fried perfectly, and the highlight of the meal, however, I didn't receive the empanada. When I inquired about the empanada when the server delivered the fish, I was told it was on the way. When I followed up with, 'shouldn't the tapas be served before the entree, especially since my friend's empanada was served and eaten before the fish arrived,' I was told there was no order to the service. Huh? The restaurant was packed, and all the items were served quickly. The empanada came a few minutes after we began to eat the fish. Our waitress was attentive and helpful, but the servers were only prepared to deliver food to the tables, not answer questions or really speak at all to the diners. We had two different servers, carrying orders, ask us if we ordered said item. When we responded that we did not, teach server moved to the next table. Another server dropped the first empanada on the table so quickly and walked away, he didn't even hear us ask whether it was chicken or vegetable, since we ordered both. We had to ask another server to be certain. My friend really spoke highly of the restaurant and some of the items we ordered. We both found our meals to be so-so- not horrible and not great, they were fine. It could have been an off night with the crowd, but the menu items eaten were not compelling me to plan a return, anytime soon. read more

We have enjoyed so many of the food options, and the staff have been very helpful and friendly. The decor inside is beautiful! My husband and I's favorite items so far include the calamari (there could have been more calamari and less pick, but still good!),fried goat cheese, grilled lamb chops (husbands fav), the Mac and cheese,and the croquettes (my favorite!). Our reservation was at a perfect time, 5:30 pm, its just before the end of happy hour and not so early that it feels like I am having a late lunch. We were able to pick a number of tapas and cocktails from the Happy hour menu, $5 each, before it ended at 6:00 pm then later we did order a few things from the regular menu. In general, the food was good my only issue was that the Croquetas which were Fried were served sitting in a cold Tomato Jam, which I thought should have been warm to not cool off the Croquetas. The food never disappoints; the fried goat cheese and green beans were crispy and flavorful, just like we remember. Pan Catalan is garlicky, but it's the best anywhere. The calamari comes with diced tomatoes instead of marinara sauce, so be warned. Atmosphere was vibrant, but not too loud. Definitely busy; you'll want to make a reservation at least a couple days ahead of time. And, our bartender was great! My friend treated me to a late lunch at Eclipse Di Luna on Saturday. We were seated at one of the tables for two, the best of both worlds both inside and out. Staff was very friendly and all of them dressed for Halloween. Yes there was a full Halloween festival going on and it was fabulous. I had one of the best dining experiences in my life. Our waiter was attentive without hovering and had all the right information. The white Sangria was very tasty and refreshing and certainly tasted like more. Sadly we had to stick to one since we were driving. Our food selection was perfection. The chorizos and dates as well as the fried goat cheese were delicious the avocado was light and refreshing. So HAPPY to have a location near home. We were able to visit for their first brunch and it was GREAT! We sat under the adorable pergola and our son played cornhole in between small plates. We had the chicken and the waffle, avocado toast, chorizo gravy and biscuit and the steak and eggs. All were delicious! So I've never much cared for the tapas experience, but this place is fantastic. We came on a Monday in the afternoon/early evening. It's located in the halcyon, which if you haven't been, is a great place to get drinks and hang out. There are plenty of bars, boutiques, and restaurants with an open neo-industrial market feel to it. Eclipse Di Luna offers a traditional yet modernized cuisine. The building continues on the modernized neo-industrial theme and is decorated with a festive Latin atmosphere complete with a large 4 sided bar that has a fantastic liquor display, booth and tabletop seating, a dance floor, and a large outdoor patio that has plenty of overhead heaters. The service is pretty impeccable. We came during slow hours and got in without a reservation, though I'd recommend placing one if you come during dining/late hours. We were seated immediately with our choice of seating, and we had our drink order in in under 3 minutes. The drinks and food are fantastic. For drinks we got the Prickly Pear Margarita and a Bloody Mary which were mixed perfectly. For food we started with the Pan Catalán, which was soft, savory, moist. Then we moved on to the Croquetas which were perfectly fried thin with a creamy interior topped with a sweet jam. We paired that with the Picanha a la parrilla which was savory, tender, and cooked perfectly to medium rare. Next we had the Escalade Mediterranea which was rich and citrusy. Next we had the Platanos Fritos which were lightly fried, yet sweet. Next we had the Macarrones con cuatro quesos which was creamy and full bodied. Last but certainty not least we had the Chuletas de Borrego, and I must say that this is some of the best lamb that we've ever had; savory, rich, with fat that melts in your mouth. Overall a great experience. We'll have to come back on the weekend sometime or bring a group of friends. Definitely recommend you try it. read more

Arrived on time with full party and they had accidentally set a table for 10. It took them over an hour to get this reset before we were sat. Which was outside next to cornhole. Not the same ambiance. The server said he did not split seats so we just had to remember how much each person needed to pay. At the end we told him and he argued that that the machine said a different number. We gave up at told him to just split it his way. He then said our original calculation was correct and he had to refund and rerun our cards. Drinks took between 30-45 minutes to arrive at the table. Food started arriving before the last order was taken as he submitted digitally. Because they don't take seat numbers they had no idea who ordered what. Skip with a party. The wife and I went here last Friday night for the first time. I made a reservation but we arrived 30 minutes early to get a drink at the bar. First thing we both noticed was the overall decor of the place. It was really well put together with a "tree" in the middle all lit up along with chandeliers hanging all around. The open air vibe was strong as the doors were all up since it was nice and cool. Really felt up to date. They have a another section outdoors under a trellis/arbor style overhang. I believe they normally use that for special occasions and it appeared as though they were having a wedding reception while we were there. The old fashion was just ok...nothing wrong with it, just not great either. I love the small plate/ tapas style of the food. It allowed us to try several things and not have to commit to one big plate of food. The ribs and picanha were excellent. I would definitely order those again. The calamari was solid as well. This was our first visit to the Eclipse at Halcyon - we've been to the one in Dunwoody in the past, but not for a while. We met another couple up there for dinner this past Friday night. It was definitely busy, being a Friday night with nice weather. Halcyon was packed and it took us a while to find parking (top of the parking deck), but that's to be expected. We had made reservations, so weren't too worried about getting seated. We checked in and sat in the bar while we waited. Drinks: * Grapefruit martini (mine). I loved this. It was icy cold and the tartness of the grapefruit was nicely set of by the splash of rosewater. Yum. I had 2 and would have had a third if it wouldn't have put me under the table. :) * Spanish style gin & tonic. My friend had this and said it was VERY strong. She wound up asking them to add more grapefruit juice and then said it was perfect. * Coconut mojito - we both had this as a "dessert" drink and it was lovely. Very coconutty with a nice hint of lime and mint running through it. * Beer for both of the guys, which is pretty basic. Food: We ordered ALL the food for 4 people. It was ridiculous. All of it was shared * Paella del Dia - we ordered this first since it takes 45 mins to make. We got the "single" and it was more than enough to share between 4 people (along with other plates). The only quibble I have (and what really drops this to a 4 star review) is that there was not even a hint of a crusty socarrat in our paella. Sadness. * Ensalada Mediterranea (x2) - lightly dressed salad, fresh and green. * Pan Catalan with cheese. Mostly we got this so we could have the crusty bread for sopping up the sauce from the ... * Gambas al Ajillo - head on shrimp poached in a lightly spicy butter sauce. SO GOOD. * Costillas Espanolas - the beef ribs in a rich balsamic. The meat was perfectly cooked and melt in your mouth tender. My friend and I thought that the Balsamic was a little strong, but our partners both loved it. * Chuletas de Borrego - the lollipop lamb chops were ordered medium rare and came a little closer to medium than we liked, but they were still good and well seasoned. * Ceviche - this one was for my partner who admitted that it might have been the last dish that put it over the top. Nevertheless he said it was delicious and the mahi was fresh and buttery. Finally we finished off with the Tart de Santiago and the Tiramisu, both of which were delicious and not overly sweet. Split between the 4 of us, it was just the perfect amount of sweet to end the meal with. The service was incredible; our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and spot on with keeping the plates moving, replacing silverware when needed, and making sure our drinks were kept flowing. We sat outside on the little "annexe" patio and once the sun dropped behind the buildings and wasn't hitting us in the eyes anymore, it was perfect. The only TINY quibble I have is that the speakers for the music were turned up pretty high and sometimes it was hard to talk. We will definitely go back and enjoy the setting and the food. read more

Food is good and server (Paula) was very welcoming and attentive. However, when items vary in pricing from menu to website by as much as $6 it is thought provoking, like a little bait and switch. As well, we sat outside and the chair, table and table stand were very sticky. an extreme smell of sewer gases was lofting in the air throughout our dining experience, which left me less interested in eating. Not blaming the restaurant for the smell, that is on the developer of the property and current wind direction. Let's just say, I will go back to this location and only eat inside or check the wind direction. It is a cool place for families (alpharetta). We have enjoyed eclipse in Dunwoody for over 20+ yrs.
