So rich and creamy with amazing flavors. For my main I went with one of my favorites. The Seafood Pasta with Mussels, Salmon and Shrimp, Olive Oil, Shallots, in a White Wine and Garlic sauce. One of the best I've had in a long time. Finish that off with some heavenly cheesecake and a delicious cup of their coffee and you have yourself a fantastic meal. The service seemed a tad slow considering the amount of customers but it would definitely not stop me from coming back. We ordered the Broccoli Cheddar and the Mushroom Soup. Both were fantastic, but the Mushroom Soup was the star--deep, rich umami flavor that hit the spot perfectly. The Bad: The main courses really fell short. Fettuccine Bernadette: Very creamy, but seemingly no salt was used at all. It was quite a disappointment. Spicy Chicken Panini: Pretty bland. It lacked seasoning and the peppers felt under-grilled. The Verdict: While the server was great and the soup was memorable, the rest of the meal didn't justify the struggle to find parking. We went to Tuscany for lunch today to say I am disappointed is an understatement. We sat down at 12:15 and our food came out at 1:00. The bacon and swiss quiche was 15.95. It came out luke warm with no side. Quiche crust was soggy and I did not finish it. I asked the waiter and he said oh yeah you do get a side. Really!!! My friend ordered a tuna salad nicoise and after 35 minutes the new waiter came out and asked if she wanted the tuna cooked. Our diet coke took 10 minutes to come out. The gentleman next to us came in after us, ordered his food, ate his food and left long before our food came out. The lunch was a joke. Check came and the waiter stood over us with the predetermined options for tip. 20%, 25%, 30% or no tip. He is looking over our shoulder as we sign the check. It was very awkward. I used to like this place and I will never go back. I am shocked they can stay in business. read more

I went there for lunch and was impressed on the variety. You get a menu and they also set up a chalkboard near your table full of other options. I got the turkey Brie and cranberry panini, which came out with the Brie oozing out of the sandwich, it was very good. What a delight! My husband and I used to live in Amli Milton Park and we loved coming here once a week for breakfast. The food and service have always been wonderful, so even though nearly a decade has passed since we ate here, we wanted to come back. I was nervous Covid might had put them out of business like so many small businesses last year, but there still up and running as good as ever! It was such a treat to bring our kids to Tuscany and have the sweet and attentive owner, Rebecca, wait on us. It wasn't busy when we went (10:30), so we got everything quickly. I love the atmosphere both inside and out, and it's just such a special little place. We plan to come back very often even though we no longer live in the immediate area. We'll come here to have a few glasses of wine with friends, have an appetizer, or enjoy a full meal - it's the perfect environment for any type of special occasion if you want something that feels authentic and cozy. They have a nice wine selection and great entree/appetizer options, like calamari, mussels, and fondue. We got the crab cakes and seafood pasta, and it was amazing. My wife and I stumbled upon this lovely tucked away little bistro and are super happy that we did. The food is incredible and the servers are friendly. I had a bowl of Tomato Bisque that was exquisite; my wife had a cup of the lentil soup which was also top notch! For our entrees she got the Asian Salmon Salad and I had a blackened Grouper sandwich; both were SO GOOD! I have no idea how I didn't know about Tuscany Cafe before now. Because it is fantastic. The atmosphere is cute, the service is great. The food stands out for sure. Fresh ingredients, great prices, tons of choices. Had: Tomato soup - delicious. Perfect creamy goodness. Hummus - great. Pita it comes with is tasty as well. Mozzarella appetizer - this was good, but was probably my least favorite of the things we had. Jerk salmon salad - I've heard that the salmon in general here is great, and this salad did not disappoint. Yum flavor, unique combination. Would have liked maybe a few more veggies or something in the salad, but so good overall. *another reviewer complained about there only being tomato bisque now. They had broccoli cheese as well and it was also delicious. So maybe he just visited on the wrong day. Visited with a group of 10 and every one loved the food. Raved, even. Love, love, love this little cafe. I have been a couple times for lunch and once for dinner, and always had a great experience. Tuscany is run by a husband & wife duo, and they have been around for about 10 years ( which says something in itself because stores in this area haven't stuck around for too long--like Figo Pasta & the old gym--American Bodyworks maybe?). Lunch time gets really busy--and this is not a fast food joint--so keep that in mind. The lunch menu consists of all sorts of sandwiches, salads, etc. The dinner menu has salads, pasta, fish, & meat dishes. Also, look out for the daily specials because they have new items pretty regularly. Tuscany also has a wine/beer list, coffee, pastries, and desserts. My fiancé had the almond cheesecake the other night and really enjoyed it. If you live/work in the Milton Park area, this spot is a no brainier. But even if you don't, it's definitely worth checking out. read more

Great brunch with my husband today. Had le Crema Chardonnay (2) which is always delicious. He ordered a grilled vegetable Panini, which he has now ordered multiple times... Even though he is a confirmed carnivore. He enjoys it so much! I ordered the tuna melt pastry, which was new to me. I never thought about putting a cheese blend on top of tuna en croute... It was savory and delicious. We have not had a bad meal here, today was $48 plus tip. The specials board is always a sight to see, and the staff are consistently friendly and accommodating. As much as I dislike the phrase, Tuscany Cafe can only be described as a "hidden gem" among the chain restaurant wasteland that is Alpharetta at lunchtime. It's tucked into a small space at the base of some residential units, next to an out-of-the-way office building. You can either street park or try to snag a space at one of the office buildings nearby and walk over. The space is small but packed with little nooks and crannies for a lovely place to have a quick bite to eat. The food itself is fresh-tasting and diverse, with a large menu and a variety of daily specials. It's similar in concept (if not necessarily execution) to Fancy Pantry. On my last visit I enjoyed one of the aforementioned daily specials - fish tacos with a cabbage slaw and black bean salad. The portion was perfect for the price and it was so delicious I ate every bite. Would definitely recommend this one. read more

This is the definition of a hidden gem. Located somewhere in Alpharetta in what seems like a neighborhood of nice townhomes, is Tuscany Cafe & Bistro. I was catching up with an old colleague for lunch and he recommended this place and apparently he has been here 4 times in the last two weeks. I was early to the lunch and had time to do some yelping while waiting on my guest. I knew I wanted a salad and a few yelpers mentioned the jerk salmon and mango salad. When I initially sat down, I didn't see it on the menu, but luckily it was on the specials chalk board. This salad was delicious. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the jerk sauce had the perfect amount of kick. Combined with the freshness and sweetness of the mango and it was outstanding. There are a million other things on this menu I would like to try, so there is no doubt that I will be back. Not to mention, the decor and architecture of this place give it the perfect bistro ambience. That's my word and I'm sticking to it. read more

While sitting in virtually immobile congestion on Old Milton after leaving a meeting I had attended one morning, I wanted to try something light for lunch, but to avoid the ubiquitous chain restaurants in the area. A quick search of Yelp led me to choose Tuscany Café. Two and a half miles. This is how far I needed to drive. That should be 4-6 minutes by car. Did it take 4-6 minutes to get there? Of course not... this is Alpharetta! Seven traffic signals. Six joggers dodging. Five drive and text. Four screeching brakes. Three near-wrecks. Two reckless cops. And a partridge in a peach tree. Sixteen minutes. How do people live like this? But I digress... Tuscany Café is located at the corner of Mill Creek and Cicero, beside a dry cleaner at ground level of an AMLI apartment community. By the small number of Yelp reviews, one might think the place is new, but the earliest review was from 2008. Five years. Plenty of time to get their shit together, and yet, apparently, not nearly enough. I walked in around 12:30 on a weekday. Busy? Somewhat. Maybe 80% full. The hostess met me after a couple of minutes and asked if I wanted to wait 10-15 minutes for a table inside, though I could see there were two empty tables that had not yet been cleared. I was starving, and thought I could use the *ahem* fresh air, so I asked to sit outside, where there were a few tables available. I also wasn't keen to be squeezed into such a tight space as they have inside, when every table was occupied either by white businessmen or middle-aged women whose careers consist of lying beside the pool and drinking too much wine at lunch. I was one of three men not wearing a polo shirt. Didn't get the memo. I sat outside and ordered a tea. It was hot, but I was under an awning to avoid Hyperion's relentless gaze (we don't get along so well, he and I, because he's always trying to force me to wear pastel pink, head to toe). After a few minutes, I began to reconsider my choice to dine outdoors, as the air filled with the clamor and exhaust of gas-powered edgers. There were three other tables occupied outside, with a single server. A chalkboard featured an impressive array of items not on the regular menu. Minutes passed. A pair of women arrived and sat at one of the outdoor tables. More minutes passed. Another pair of women. The waitress took their drink orders. Tick Tock Tick Tock The waitress took the food orders of the first pair that had arrived later than I, and then minutes later, the second. Twenty-five minutes after I had been seated, she took my order, apologizing for the delay. Peppered turkey sandwich, with Caesar salad. My food came thirty minutes later. A cold sandwich, with deli turkey, alfalfa sprouts ("alfa" on the menu), red onion, avocado, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise, on ciabatta. Three. Zero. Minutes. The waitress again apologized because things were "just crazy" in the restaurant. I asked if they were short-staffed that day. No... Just busy. Really? It's a good sandwich. The mayo was globbed excessively onto the bread, so it wasn't exactly "light"... or "lite"... but I care more about enjoying my food than whether I'll live past 40. The salad, however, was a disappointment, being no more than a bed of room-temperature romaine topped with a creamy Caesar dressing and a few shavings of parmesan. My check took an expectedly long time to arrive. After an hour and twenty minutes at Tuscany, I finally left... in time to start thinking about what I should have for dinner. Food, 7/10. This deli is located in the AMLI at Milton Park apartment complex. I've eaten here a few times, and it's a standard breakfast and deli spot (I think they had a failed attempt at being open for Fri/Sat dinner). The prices are a little high for the amount of food you get. They have a few outdoor tables and the restaurant overlooks a lake, so it's a very popular place to go on nice days. read more

My family and I just moved to Georgia, and this little restuarant is right by our temp housing (within walking distance). We noticed they were open for dinner on Friday nite, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the tomato bisque/goat cheese appetizer (served with French Bread slices)... YUMMY!!!! Definitely will be craving this on a regular basis. My daughter (she's 9) loved the chicken noodle soup, we then shared the maple glazed salmon/mashed potato dinner (plenty for both of us). My husband ordered the lump crab cakes; he said they were very meaty and cooked perfectly. They also have an amazing selection of desserts... we were too full to give any a try however. With 3 glasses of wine, and the above, our meal came to a reasonable $78. We'll definitely be back. read more
