Amazing is all I can say I wish I would have done it sooner . I first contacted this company regarding a whole house fan. That is getting installed this Friday, so I will update this review after the install. But in the meantime the info and customer service have been TOP NOTCH! Don gave me a quote quickly based on looking at a google earth map of my condo. I quoted with 2 other companies and asked Don a few more questions. Don's quote was the best (same as one other quote) but he had the best explanations, examples and info. All 3 bids said it looked like I didn't have enough exit ventilation in my attic so to compensate I would need an attic fan (more about that later.) One company quoted me the Stealth model that was $100 more as they said it was quieter and more energy efficient. Don said it would take a good 20 years to recoup that $100 energy savings and that it was only 1 DB quieter which is barely noticable, so I decided not to get that model. Since they also do AC and furnaces services, I also had asked about an AC Tuneup since I am a first time homebuyer and figured I should probably get the system checked. Angel and Jacob came out to my house on time and did such a thorough job, explained things to me. Made me feel like I was their only customer all day (but I know they are really busy and they had places to be.) Luckily my AC system was in good shape (6 years old) but Jacob let me know the compressor might only be good for another year or two. I will definitely have them back for maintenance next year. During this visit, they also did the attic inspection for the whole house fan and it turns out I had more ventilation than Google Maps showed, so I didn't need the additional attic fan after all! But Jacob did notice rodent droppings in one area of my attic and took a photo, so now I need to address that. Good thing he told me! When they come to install the fan, they are also going to install a smart thermostat that I pre purchased. I will update my review after install. 3 days later... Jacob came on time, laid down drop cloths and installed my fan very precisly and neatly. Barely any dust went into my home from cutting the drywall. He gave me a great tutorial on how to use the fan. He also installed my smart thermostat quickly. He was in and out in under 4 hours (probably could have been done a little sooner but I'm a talker :) ) I received a few followup emails with tips from the company on using the fan, along with suggested maintenance for my HVAC system and water heater in general. I highly recommend this company for their pricing and amazing customer service. You can really tell they care. I LOVE the whole house fan. I'm talking about it to all my friends and I realize no one really knows what one is. They just assume it's an attic fan. But the whole house fan is MAGIC! Usually in the summer I'll run my AC mid day then open all the windows when the sun is going down but usually my house still doesn't cool down much but a few degrees by morning. It tends to be about 10° warmer than outside always even with all my windows open. But now with this whole house fan, I crack a few windows and my slider door and run the fan for a few hours and the next thing I know my thermostat actually comes down a good 5 degrees. Last night I was lying in bed with the slider door cracked (which is the only window in my bedroom) and I got hot in the middle of the night so I turned on the whole house fan on the light speed while I slept and I could totally feel the difference of the cool air all night. We used Eco Air Solutions to install a Quiet Cool Fan, do an AC tune up and ultimately get a new AC and furnace. I know you are thinking, well duh, they did the tune up so they sold me on a new AC. First let me say the Fan was installed before the tune-up and we LOVED IT. The installer was professional, knowledgeable and quick. Honestly, the fan is probably the best investment we have made into our home. Then later I needed a tune up and Jacob was scheduled to come, but the day before the AC basically died. Let me just pause here and say it was the middle of a heat wave and being without AC was brutal, but the Fan REALLY made a difference! Anyway, Jacob checked it out and told me all about how he can try to fix our 30+ year old AC. It actually seemed like a challenge he was looking forward to trying to troubleshoot. He explained each thing that needed to be done, the ~ cost and also explained why it would also be difficult to get the Freon needed for this old beast. He was knowledgeable, patient with my many questions, explained everything he did and would need to do, and never once tried to upsell me. I contacted Don to ask what the cost would be for a new one to compare to the cost of the repairs. He gave me some great options but he did not press me on go the route of a full replacement. Together he helped me research rebates and compared what the options were and while I opted for the more expensive model, he actually was giving me reasons why I could get by with the smaller model and less expensive one. Jacob again came out to do the install and he and his apprentice were great. Friendly, worked diligently and quietly while I was on meetings all day, and they were both very professional. Throughout the process, I had many many questions and Don was always responsive, friendly, funny (bonus) and professional. I have had someone from his team here on three different occasions and every time, they were on time, professional, knowledgeable and willing to share their knowledge. I bought a whole house fan 6 years ago and they did a great job with warranty service (although these tend to last longer). But this review has to do with a mini-split AC system installed in my master bedroom. I could not find anyone to do this project for me since it was just a single unit for one room but then asked Eco Air Solutions and they have been doing these systems in addition to whole house fans for several years now. I had a great experience with them once again. The crew was prompt, efficient, and clean. The unit works very well and has a 10 year warranty from Fujitsu. It can both heat and cool and best of all I did not need to run a new 220 line and we tapped into my existing 110 lines. Don and his crew installed a whole house fan back in 2014 and it's been a lifesaver. They were fast and efficient. Last year, we started getting a strange vibration from the fan, gave Eco Air a call, they already had all our details still in our system and came out the next day to replace a failing fan belt under warranty. Fast forward to this year with COVID and the need to work from home, I needed to update my 25+ yr old HVAC system so we could be comfortable during business hours on 90+ degree days. Got quotes from Costco's preferred vendor and a couple others but wasn't comfortable with what they were trying to sell me. Costco had solar panels in their quote even though my house already has an entire rooftop PV system! I'm not an HVAC expert so I really needed someone I could trust. My husband and I had a problem with a traditional-style whole-house fan not working after install. Don didn't even install it, and doesn't even sell that kind. Yet he cheerfully spent considerable time on the phone with me going over possible causes, even going so far as to look up our house on Google Earth to find that we had plenty of air circulation in our attic, due to the number of vents he was able to see. In the end, with a certified electrician's help to check our wiring, etc., we figured out that the fan we'd purchased elsewhere was just a weaker fan than one we'd had in a previous home, and requires more time on "high" to open the shutters before we switch it to "low." Otherwise, it appears to be working fine. Without Don's advice, we might have spent hundreds of dollars on unneeded attic vents, in an attempt to solve a problem that Don showed us didn't even exist. Don, you are one special guy. We so wish we'd known about your fans and your company before we installed this one, which is much louder than the kind you sell, apparently. We cannot thank you enough. Your kind of person is a rarity these days. Friends, seriously, if you need a whole-house fan (they're terrific cost-savers, and SO enjoyable to have), don't hesitate to use Don and his company. Don and his crew installed a whole house about 3 years ago. We wanted to take advantage of the summer-nights breeze instead of running our AC for hours. I can tell you we have saved SO MUCH in costs from not using our AC in the late afternoons. I found Don here on Yelp and was excited by all the 5 star reviews, and he didn't disappoint! It turned out I didn't actually hire Don, but let me tell you what he did do. I called and spoke to his wonderful assistant, his wife. I explained my situation and how I live in a very old house in Corona, built in 1902, and we have been melting from the heat every summer for the last 45 years. A couple of years ago, we had a new roof installed, removing the 6 layers of old roof down to the rafters, which was acting like insulation. Well, now it's even hotter! Don called me back, and we spoke and set up a time for him to come look first thing the following week. He climbed through my tiny attic access and climbed all around. As it turns out, my modified house wasn't all original up there, and a whole house fan wasn't going to fit where I wanted. It's also Don's policy not to cut into Lath and Plaster, which covers all of my walls and ceilings. If you don't know what that it is whats they used before drywall was invented! And at 100+ years old, it falls apart easily. However, Don did tell us what we could do, how to do it, what to buy, and where to do it ourselves! Now, how cool is that? Have you ever had someone come out for an estimate and tell you how to do the job yourself? It's too bad that Don doesn't do other types of work because he was a pleasure to (not) do business with. Whole House Fans can be a confusing and somewhat difficult home improvement item to make a decision on. Don and Eco Air Solutions were extremely easy to work with and explained the concept and benefits of owning the whole house fan. The process was painless, requested a quote on Yelp and was contacted almost immediately by Don, the owner. I had done a lot of research and he confirmed my suspicion that a whole house fan would be a great solution for my small two-story home in Anaheim Hills. My home is just under 2,000SF, but it is two-stories and much of the first level is open to the second, which made it difficult to cool in the heat of Summer because the downstairs would get cool fast, but the upstairs would really struggle to cool. Especially my master bedroom that faces South with lots of windows. After Don's initial visit, he determined that I would need to have additional roof vents added and his recommended roofer would install them on the same day as the fan installation. The installation was quick and painless, the crew did a good job cleaning up and explained the fan operation to me well. Now that I am actually using my old 27 year old windows, I realize that I need to have them replaced because they are falling apart, so I guess thanks for pushing me to start that project too lol. We had a Whole House Fan installed in May 2020. I've waited 4 months before posting a review so I could really see how much impact it made during the summer. Well, let me tell you, it's the end of September, but currentlt 104 degrees outside, but 82 degrees in my house with no A/C!!! We honesty have only had to use our A/C when it was so hot that even at night it was still 85 degrees+. For the most part, we turn the unit on early in the morning, open some windows & turn on the ceiling fans, we do the same in the evening when it cools down. It has worked perfectly! When we have used the A/C, we keep it 82 degrees. After several months of using the Whole House Fan without even turning on the A/C our average house temperature stays 82 degrees which is comfortable for us. Our upstairs has NEVER been able to cool off during the day. It's still warmer than downstairs, but way more tolerable, and I night it gets really cool. I attribute this to having a small attic. If it were bigger I think the fan would work even better. Installation was fast, and my Yelp questions were promptly answered. I can't say enough about Don and the whole team at Eco Air Solutions. We have wanted a whole house fan for years and when we found we had to replace our HVAC system we figured we might as well add a whole house fan at the same time. That set off a three month nightmare with our HVAC contractors (Not Eco Air, a different company) and we needed to use the whole house fan much more than we anticipated throughout the process. I don't know what we would have done without it. Our home was filled with toxic gas and fumes from a bad HVAC install and the whole house fan may have literally saved us from major health issues. Through the course of everything Don was available and always willing to help when we needed adjustments or had questions. He was also very generous with his time when I asked him questions about the HVAC unit as we were going through our ordeal. Once everything settled down we found the fan was just a little too large for the ventilation we had available in the attic and Don went the incredible extra steps to have a roofing guy come out and add another vent for us.
