It was a broken pipe. I called three companies for estimates. One estimator wanted me to lowball the estimate for number of square feet of floor space in the house for a better price. The other gave a low ball bid, but wanted 50% of the bid price up front at signing, which is illegal. And then ServPro came through with a upfront estimate that met our needs. They did the job quickly , professionally, and took excellent care of the tenant. However, as with any job , Murphy's Law can always put a glitch in the process. Servpro recognized the problem and solved it to our satisfaction. After building two houses, I know bad things can happen. I also know it's the way the contractor resolves the problem that separates a good contractor from a bad contractor. I would highly recommend Servpro to anyone that was interested in having work done. One of the nice things that we experienced is the foreman, Angel, was always available by phone. We must have had over 40 conversations over the course of 3 weeks. I doubt his phone rang more than once before he picked up on the majority of those conversations. When your home is literally floating in S**T, it really feels good to have someone that can help, that is professional, that is always available for reassurance. When she got here, she looked through the entire house then started. She said she would clean over 2 days, and both days said she would have an assistant with her. She showed up both days without one, but I understood as it was short notice. She did a good job deep cleaning the 2.5 bathrooms, oven, microwave, and refrigerator. She was agreeable to all my cleaning requests, and while that was appreciated, I was surprised as she was slow and I couldn't imagine her finishing the 3rd floor on time. As expected, the 3 bedrooms were very rushed. Overall, I was still happy with the service, and I paid her $275. At the end of the 2 day cleaning, I asked her to come back monthly for $200, which she agreed to. Then I asked her what her price would be if she came more often, let's say twice a month. She quoted me $100 per visit and I agreed. I told her she can deep clean 1 floor each time and lightly clean the 2 other floors, and she agreed (unlike the first time when she deep cleaned all 3 floors for $250). Fast forward 2 weeks, I message her to confirm our time. She started quoting me completely different pricing. I run a small business myself and can understand if she felt the job is too big for her and she may have under-charged/over-promised; however, what I can not stand is the unprofessionalism and the gaslighting that she tried to pull of as if I was confused by what we discussed.

When the technician came to my house, he asked me to sign an agreement on his phone and assured me that I would never receive any invoice or bill from them, my insurance company will be fully responible for the cost . Then asking me to read and sign the long writing agreement on his mobile phone? Asking me to read the agreement on a phone and sign? OKAY, I trust them, and it was my fault and I signed it. Today (April 4) I received an invoice stating that payment is due by April 6. They charged $2,500 just to set up two dehumidifiers in my house. They said they would come back and pick them up after 3 days, but they never did. I had to follow up myself and ended up calling them three separate times to ask them to pick up their machines. Every time I called, the customer service rep just said, "I have your concern in our system, and someone will reach out to you." So basically, you end up waiting at least 1-2 days just to get a response back. Because they failed to come back on time and never explained whether I should turn the machines off, I let them run continuously for 6 straight days. This resulted in an additional $350+ electricity bill. The communication and customer service were extremely poor. It feels like all they care about is finding every possible way to charge you. For the payment method, you can pay by credit card but there will be 3.5% processing fee. The other way is to mail a check to them, but they didn't provide the mailing address. It's 2026, I didn't know people still use mail for payment. Be prepared for all these troubles if you want to use their service.
