I came home Friday Afternoon (10APR26) to find a puddle forming in my garage. My water heater of…read moreover 16 years had finally given out. To Rescue Air's credit, they had been warning us each time they came out for HVAC Filter rotations. Thankfully, Rescue Air's ace plumbing expert Mr. Phillip Blystone was dispatched to my home to assess the situation. Within minutes he identified the issue and immediately started to work out a plan and arrangement my family could manage to cover the expense of the Water Heater replacement: the source of the leaking problem. Rescue Air has a very long history of working with my family since we've been in this home (2016), so that level of service is a given these days. But that's not the complete reason for the 5-Star rating. The next day, now with a working heater, my wife and I discovered that a leak was still present in the Garage. Upon calling Rescue Air to let them know what was going on, Mr. Blystone responded swiftly to our location to triage the leak. Using both his advanced equipment and intuition, he found that in spite of the solid repair and replace he and his team performed of the water heater, a leak was sadly missed during the initial assessment. Most other business would likely have tacked on a "not-our-problem" sort of response to this. However, Mr. Blystone and by extension Rescue Air are not your normal type of company. With careful consideration of the economic circumstance of the recent repair & purchase, balancing years of customer loyalty and being a genuinely saint, Mr. Blystone proceeded to isolate and resolve the leak (a small puncture hole in the T-pipe hot-water line leading from the heater) pro-gratis. Completely unexpected, but definitely much appreciated! It goes without saying it would be extremely foolish for my family to consider doing business with anyone else in the Dallas Metro given Rescue Air's track record with our family. The value lost would be far too great. While I hope to not need their services as often as recently, I definitely look forward to working with them and Mr. Blystone should the need arise again.

They claimed safety issues, pushed contracts in front of me, and scheduled installation for the next day. I tried to cancel but was told I was locked in. I ended up spending around $30,000. After the installation, every maintenance visit came with aggressive attempts to sell me more services I did not need. Then the new system failed in 106 degree heat. The compressor failed at only 16 months old. Communication was poor, and I was left without AC for about seven days. I had to repeatedly chase them for updates. They did not have the part, did not follow up, and someone finally arrived at 10:30 PM after days of waiting. They gave me a two year complimentary membership as compensation. I assumed the membership would end after the two free years. My card on file had expired, yet in May and June 2026 the company suddenly began charging me again. This suggests someone manually updated my card information without my permission. I never authorized a renewal, never received a renewal notice, and never received invoices for any charges. They refunded the charges I caught, but then claimed I owed $95.80 for four months of fees that were never billed and never agreed to. I asked for written confirmation of a zero balance and never received a direct response. They only responded to the BBB and stated the account was at zero. Based on my experience with both service and billing, I strongly recommend being cautious before using this company.

I have a 50 yr old three floor condo that has (most likely) never had the ducts cleaned out. mold was blowing out my vents after a new AC install and that's why I called them. They protected all the areas of my home and got to work- they vacuumed, brushed and sanitized all my ducts many times over- the amount of mold in my ducts was DISTURBING (to say the least!). It took several hours to get every duct cleaned out but they did all the work and left my condo very clean and smelling great when they were finished. I'm sure the amount of nastiness in my ducts are in the top five of worst they ever seen! I will be bringing them back in a year for a follow up clean. The air in my condo already is crisper And the musty smell in my home is gone. So glad I had them come out and they were incredibly friendly and honest as well. I know they were more affordable than the other companies that do this and the price never went up when they saw how much work my job would be- and it was a lot of work! Having found them on Yelp- this was a yelp-win for me (and that's not always the case). Thank you OKeefe and Orlington for the work you did. It was a pleasure meeting you.

Important note: This company was bought by Dunrite Heating and Air. Please read their reviews…read morebefore calling this company. Sadly, the owner of Nick's passed away and this company is now owned by Dunrite. I called that company based on the reviews of Nick's Air Services, but their services has definitely NOT been the same as mentioned on this profile. In summary, this company is expensive, can make improper recommendations, and the office is very difficult to get anyone to call you back. I absolutely would not use them again in the future and - had I read their Yelp profile for Dunrite Heating & Cooling - would never have called them in the first place. My experience: My air conditioning due to leaked refrigerant due to another HVAC technician not correct. Nick's/Dunrite came out during the same day and quickly identified the problem. There was a leak on the schrader valve. They got us back to running - for nearly $200/per pound of refrigerant. 5 lbs = about $1,000. Wow, but we had no choice as my original installer was not available. Our unit has not been keeping up with the 90s for the past two months and the technician recommended 3 different options. I chose 2 of the 3 options: a larger return air duct AND repairing the plenum. I was anxious to get the work scheduled and it took me hounding them to get them to schedule the work. Communicating with this office was very painful. I would never get calls back and would just get a text message indicating when they had scheduled the appointment. Their front desk support was exceedingly helpful but not empowered to do anything besides schedule appointments and pass along info. I finally had the appointment and the technician went to the wrong address. I got a call from them saying they had been at my house and then they proceeded to the next job. I spoke to them and learned they were at the wrong house, but could not turn around to go back to my house. I had to wait until the following week to get the appointment rescheduled. What a disaster. It got worse. The work was finally done - the return air duct and the plenum. I waited a couple of days, but there was NO change in the air conditioning. I called them back again and they scheduled another technician to come out. The second technician came out, a more senior technician, who confirmed that the unit was undersized and "working as it was designed" to cool at 75-76. I don't know a single person who is comfortable with 75-76 in the house when the outside is in the 90s. I called customer service again. When I finally got someone, I got a call from William, who is their most senior technician (an older guys in his late-50s probably). He came out with the original technical and instructed him how to properly do a heat load calculation. They determined indeed the unit is undersized and I needed a 3 ton. I called back the customer service asking for a refund to the work. I've called at least 3-4 times, each time speaking with a very nice person. However, I've still not been called back. What a disaster. I've finally had to resort to filing a complaint with my credit card and disputing it through them. It's unfortunate and I didn't want to have to do this, but - when no one will call you back - it's very very hard to trust this company to make things right.

When I booked my appointment, there was no mention that there would be an additional $100 charge if the dryer vent exited through the roof rather than the first floor. My dryer is on the first floor, but the vent exits through the roof. The technician informed me of the extra charge only after completing the work, leaving me feeling like I had little choice but to pay it. If roof vented homes cost more, that should be disclosed before the appointment is scheduled, not after the work is completed. I even have the booking messages, and they simply state that first-time service starts at $169 with no mention of this additional fee. I also never received the advertised before-and-after photos. The technician never shared any photos while here or by email. The technician himself was polite and completed the cleaning, but the lack of upfront pricing transparency and the failure to provide the advertised photos left me feeling misled. I paid $269.54 instead of the $169 I expected. I hope the company updates its booking process so future customers know the full price before the appointment. Overall, I regret booking this company and wouldn't recommend. Edited to add: things got worse. The technician emailed me photos of my dryer vent and it barely had anything in it. Instead of showing me the before photos he just cleaned it and didn't send them until after my review. There were multiple points I should have been informed and given a choice. The owner, Christine called me and offered to refund $100 to bring the cost down to the advertised price but she then did a refund of $80 instead of $100. I'm changing my review down to only one star as this company couldn't be any worse. I'm very skeptical as for the legitimacy of the 5 star reviews on here. At this point I think I'll just dispute the credit card charge and go about my way but buyer beware with this company couldn't

He told us to go get 3-5 quotes, and suggested not to chose the cheapest or the most expensive. As a very thorough person but first-time homeowner, I researched all I could about attic insulation, had my energy company come out and do an energy assessment (highly suggest this, it's very educational and CoServ does it for free), then had 12 (yes, twelve) companies come out for quotes. Not only was Loi the cheapest of 11 (1 company never sent me a quote), including beating out my Home Warranty company, he was the only person that was 100% looking out for my interests. He was completely transparent about his process, labor, and materials. Most importantly, he didn't try to upsell me on more expensive options by lying or putting on a show. I'm not accusing the other companies of overemphasizing the effectiveness of radiant barrier or foam, though taking 3 hours to use lasers to develop a plan to completely revamp the layout of my duct system was a bit over the top, I'm just saying that Loi was the only person who tried to convince me NOT to get the higher end options for diminishing returns (he also explained why). Loi took the time to sincerely educate me about my new home and while we only met for 15-20 minutes, it didn't feel rushed like with other companies, and not dragged out like with others. The accurate information he provides, in addition to not using strong-armed sales tactics like trying to close with repeated attempts at locking-in an appointment, are the highlights of NRG Pros, along with the simple fact that he didn't lie to my face. Some instances of him looking out for me, instead of his bottom line: For example, my roof has an overabundance of both ridge and soffit vents. I had multiple companies try to sell me unnecessary attic fans which would have caused my ridge vents to start drawing in air, rather than passively letting it out. This would actually have reduced the quality of my attic ventilation rather than improve it. Another example was installing an attic tent, instead of charging me $500, he told me to get one at Home Depot for $50 and showed me how I would do it myself. Yet another example, instead of charging me $250, Loi offered for free to patch up a hole I had in one of my soffit vents where birds and bugs were using to access my attic. One last example, Loi was the only company that even offered to check window and door seals. Because of the aforementioned energy assessment, I already knew if I had leaks. He correctly pinpointed the poor seal at my front door and, you guessed it, replaced it for free. Loi is professional, thorough, and honest. I hope I can save some of you the time and effort of gathering quotes and listening to (mostly insulting) sales pitches. I honestly would have went with Loi even if he gave me the most expensive quote, but that's a contradiction, it's just not in his nature. Imagine a world where people were more like him, what a world that would be... I'm going to save you some time, money, and stress. You need to go with NRG Pros.
