Horrible. Just horrible. 1) they are late. I got a call telling me they are coming at 7:57 AM, they arrive at 9AM but can't get the job started until 9:30 because they circled the alley many times over. Mind you, my building is only 12 minutes from their warehouse. 2) these movers are slooooooow. We have our things in boxes ready to go, a high speed elevator reserved, and only a 1BR apartment. It took 3 hours to actually take all our things down. We've moved every year for the last 5 years and have only been getting better at packing our place up. It usually takes only 1.5 hours to get everything out. Oh I know why.... only one guy is really working while the other guy is busy surveying our 1br apartment or talking on the phone. It took him 20 minutes to partially break down our bed, with power tools. Our bed is only a steel frame so he only had to take out 6 screws. 3) it took another 45 minutes to get our papers done. He didn't know what sheet of paper to ask me to sign, how to work his iPad... only to end up having to follow them in the short drive to their office where it took another 20 minutes of standing under the rain to to pay for my move. This saga started at 8 AM and I was looking to pay at 1PM. Last I counted, that's 5 hours. They attempted to charge me for 5:30 hours but got it back down to 5 hours, reminding me that they so graciously knocked off 30 minutes that didn't even exist. Horrible! read more

The company I work for had to move offices recently, and we chose to hire Eco Movers to help us. Satch and Joel arrived on time and were extremely customer service oriented. I stress customer service because they were helpful, considerate and even moved a co-workers car so she didn't have to herself. They worked hard and packed everything into their truck neatly. They provided suggestions with the move and were very reasonable with pricing. Getting the job done without issues is a plus, but providing exception customer service is an A+. I'm happy that we hired Eco Movers, and will recommend them in the future. read more

This rating is for Eco-movers Customer service. It was the worst I've experienced in a long time, and I'm a 15-year Comcast user. Each conversation consisted of them listing reasons they were right, how they did nothing wrong, how I the customer was indeed wrong, and how me being concerned/feeling the need to help was Not their problem. The movers arrived in the last half hour of the estimated 4-hour arrival window (Eco-movers continue to point this out as an accomplishment and not the bare minimum). We communicated a very strict 4-hour move-in window with Eco Movers, and recommended an earlier start time. Nevertheless, they didn't start until right around our official move-in window at the new location began. We were moving from 2 locations, so this meant they had to load 2 separate apartment locations, then unload them both at the 3rd location all within 4 hours (They estimated 5 hours which would not make our 4-hour window). I was concerned so I sent a message to Eco-movers explaining the movers were behind pace, advising that my girlfriend and I will need to help them to make the window. Eco-movers responded over an hour later saying that they were on pace (This was after we had already assisted the movers and got them caught up). Afterwords, I contacted customer support and their message was they did absolutely nothing wrong and that because my girlfriend and I chose to help (which Eco wrote in an email saved time and money), we made the wrong choice doing so and it's totally irrelevant to the cost of their services. After a few arguments with customer support, it was obvious that there was none. Moves are often hectic and unpredictable, so hiccups were expected. But the customer service was abysmal. Through the encounter, there was no responsibility, acknowledgement, anything that resembled an apology for the inconvenience, or even empathy/concern. Instead, constant denying, and hypotheticals of what they would have done if they had missed our window. Eco-movers fully admitted that if we didn't assist, the move would have taken longer (knowing this would be out of our window), but proceeded to fault us for assisting in the move and explain how the decision we made to ensure we make our move-in window was not their problem. I'd moved on, but received a condescending email the next day reiterating how they'd done absolutely nothing wrong, and that IF the move was behind schedule, they would have taken care of it and charged us whatever fees necessary (I messaged them with my concerns during the move, and they failed to respond until we had already assisted). Apparently, the expectation was for us to sit back and let them miss the move-in window, do nothing about it, and happily let them charge us more for extending it another day. See below: Hello, Thank you for providing feedback concerning your move, and for expressing your concerns to our customer service agent when she reached out to you last Friday. Pursuant to your conversation with her and your feedback afterwards, we, along with our management team, have done a review of your move to ensure the validity of the charges. From our review of your original quote, it seems that we estimated that your move would take anywhere up to 5 hours, with an arrival window of 10am-2pm. We try to make it to a move as early in the window as we can, however that day due to some logistical concerns, we were unable to make it to your move until the end of the window. However, as we made it before 2pm, as you pointed out in your feedback, the crew did not arrive late for this move. Our next concern was the performance of the crew. Per our direct inquiries with dispatch, who spoke to the crew lead and crew, and from confirmation from you on your call with our agent, the crew was engaged and occupied throughout the move, performing at the rate of work expected of a crew of that size. We also note that your final move time of 4 hours and 30 minutes beats your estimate by 30 minutes. We acknowledge that you jumped in and helped the crew because of your concern about the Insignia's move-in window, however, that assistance was not requested by our team at any point, and was done of your own volition. Had you not assisted, the crew would have continued to work on your move until the job was done, at which point you would have been charged for whatever hours were worked, likely more than the charges we see presently. The happy news is, that due to your efforts to assist, all of this was unnecessary. Your actions ended up saving you a lot of time and money. However, this does not change the fact that had you not assisted, we would have worked with you and the building management to make sure your move was taken care of in one fashion or another. This also does not diminish the fact that our crew put a valid 4 hours and 30 minutes of work into your move, which came in under the estimate provided by us for your move. read more

My moving team consisted of Boris, Jeremy, Shane, and Johann. My moving time window was from 8am-12pm. The team called at 9am to give me a 30 minute heads up to their arrival. They arrived with a cargo van and a moving truck for my 3 bedroom townhouse promptly at 9:30am. In addition to moving boxes and furniture to my new home, I requested (during my initial consultation with Grant the owner) that several pieces of furniture be disposed of at the dump (thus the cargo van). They were very attentive to the fact that their truck could block some of my neighbors' parking spots and reassured me that someone would always be with the van to move at a moment's notice. From the get-go, the team was attentive to all requests and wanted to ensure a pleasant and fast move to our new home. All the guys were super nice, respectful, and personable. The team wrapped every piece of furniture with care using padding, industrial plastic wrap, and secured it with packaging tape. They made sure to navigate the stairs in both homes with extreme caution. When they arrived at the new home, they set down floor runners as to prevent wear and tear on the carpet (which I appreciated since it rained the night before and sprinkled a bit during the move). Although the boxes were labeled, they double checked with us as to where we wanted furniture and boxes placed. Finally, during the walkthrough, The team was nice enough to rearrange furniture and adjust things until it met our specifications. The team worked quickly and efficiently and they were done in 4.5 hours. Our original quote was for 7 hours but since they completed the job in less time the final price dropped quite a bit. My husband and I were extremely pleased and satisfied by Ecomovers work and professionalism. Professional and efficient moving service. Our crew of two moved us from Bellevue to Seattle in just under 8 hours including travel time. We opted to pack our 1-bedroom apartment ourselves using the EcoBoxes we ordered from the company. The boxes were easy to move and saved a lot of time and cardboard. They also provided packing paper to help with the more fragile items. The one knock is that we were given a wide window of arrival from 8am-12pm but the movers informed us at 8:30 that they would arrive at 9:00am and they were right on time. From there, they loaded all of the boxes and prepped the furniture and other large items for transit. They disassembled and then reassembled some items which was a huge help. Everything survived the trip without any damage! The booking process was easy to arrange and there was constant communication the whole way through. Precautions were taken to make sure the move was safe for Covid-19. Payment was easy and the contracts were all electronic which is convenient. Overall, it was as pleasant a moving experience as we could hope for. I'd definitely use their service again. read more

I was a little hesitant to book these guys given some of the negative reviews, but we had a great experience. I did a ~40mi move from Stevens Pass area to Lake City. They had availability when others did not, and were cheaper than a couple other quotes I got. They got there at the very start of their arrival window, and loaded up and unloaded everything quickly. They were both wearing masks, which I appreciated. While they set aside a full day to move our 1bd apartment (mostly due to driving), it took maybe half that. I ended up paying cash to get a small discount and overall spent about $400 less than the original quote. I'd recommend to anyone! read more

I had 3 inexperienced movers come move 8 large items it took them 5 1/2 hours to move 8 items 3 mins down the road! when I unwrapped my fridge it looked like they rolled it down the stairs! They were kids and had no idea what they were doing! I called and complained about my Amazon refrigerator we paid almost 5,000 for! they offered to give me 150 for damages and the drawer panel itself is 300 to replace the front! Friendly movers and great sense of humor unfortunately didn't help with the many professional issues I had with my move. I used moving companies 4 times in 7 years, 1 international move 2 across states 1 local, the last with Eco Movers after reading reviews, and the shortest move, was the most overpriced, misquoted and problematic of all. THE GOOD: The movers were very friendly, the lead movers are awesome guys trying to make the best of incredibly bad estimates for their services, they work long hours and very hard to make up for the company mistakes. THE BAD: 1st, the provided quote as other reviews stated is incredibly off, by a lot. The conditions suggested, hours and price were off by 100%, everything had to be doubled. I sent very detailed list of items and pre packed lots of things myself. I had only 2 specific requests, to proper pack my clothing items and to protect well my TVs and monitors, that's it. They brought proper clothing boxes with hangers and it was never used, basically they threw everything in a box together with other items made of metal and wood. Which resulted in many piece of clothing to be punctured, and torn. The TVs and monitors were never protected or packed, no matter how many times I asked them to do it, on a last minute effort I myself cut a box open, and taped cardboard to the screen. I have 13 furniture pieces, 5 were broken, 7 are missing parts, wheels, screws, handles, locks and such. Some are completely useless now as there are parts that even trying to fix DIY it will never work. The smallest of the problems for example... If we see furniture with a key hanging out, we take the key out and tape it somewhere, right? Not them, they did not care, all 4 furniture with keys not only got keys broken but the whole locks were bent and it damaged other furniture. The damages overall were quite impressive this time. It's like from the moment I choose to use the cheapest insurance they had, they switch any care off. The worst part by far was the quote. I paid double the estimated on both packing and moving, I fully agreed with their suggestions, only to learn it was all BS. The Junior mover on packing needs serious training. Our movers were excellent. They did what they said they would do, when they said they would, and did it better and faster. I forgot to include boxes in my inventory, and thus underestimated the size of our move. They were great about making it work and even had boxes to help with some items we didn't have time to box. We selected Eco-movers after reviewing about a dozen moving companies for a 2-bedroom move across town. Their quoted rate fell in the middle of the road, while their Yelp rating was on the upper end. I called to clarify one very negative review, and the customer service rep was able to very professionally yet confidentially discuss the isolated incident. The final price came in almost exactly at the quoted rate (immensely appreciated). The team was prompt, fast, very hard working, personable, and professional. We were astounded at the speed they were able to load and unload everything with, and the care that was given to large furniture and disassembling and reassembling bed frames. The team also felt "real:" we could casually chat throughout the move as I worked alongside them (moving smaller items). Minor setbacks included forgetting to wrap mattresses before loading onto the truck, one door-frame bump with larger furniture, and bicycle handlebar wrapping getting torn off during transit (only property damage). But certainly 1,000% better than moving ourselves! Eco convinced me never to do my own large moving again: the price was representative of the value, and our time, stress, and muscles/joints saved. Spent a lot of time researching different companies and was pretty wary, given just about all of them had some concerning reviews. Ended up choosing this place to handle a two-part move from West Seattle to Bonney Lake. Day 1 was the loading of two trucks, day 2 was unloading at the new house. We did all of the packing g ourselves and staged the vast majority of boxes so that the crew could focus on loading and taking care of furniture. We had a different crew each day of 5 folks each, but the same foreman for both, Netzer, who along with his teams, were top notch - very professional, visibly taking great care to minimize damage to either house, which was much appreciated. They also had a customer experience associate who kept in communication via text through the whole process and was very responsive. I will not hesitate to hire this company again. My boyfriend and I just moved from an apartment to a house in Fremont and, after both moving several times on our own in our college years, were really committed to hiring movers this time around. Not entirely knowing what to look for in a moving company, I did some research and zeroed in on Eco-Movers for their close proximity to Fremont since I heard we would be billed from port to port. From the initial conversation I had to book the move to move-in day itself, I was so impressed with Eco-Movers! Their customer service in booking our move was friendly, helpful and professional. We were told we would need a two person team to complete our move from a one-bedroom apartment to a two-bedroom house at $125/hour. But on move-in day, one of our movers called letting us know they would be arriving soon and also offered us a third person on the team for an additional $25/hr to make the move go a bit quicker. I really appreciated their recommendation because it truly did make for one smooth and fast experience! Not only was our move-in team super friendly and easy to work with but they managed to complete our move in two hours which was two hours under their original quote time. I hope I don't have to move any time in the near future, but when I do I will definitely be using Eco-Movers again and recommending them to all my friends! read more

The Eco Movers team had a massive impact on our last minute move! They were very efficient, worked incredibly hard, and weren't phased by any hurdles we came across. I am the type of person that doesn't like to standby on work like this but I felt completely at ease releasing the wheel and leaning on their experience to get everything done. Even though they worked very fast, they were able to completely protect all our belongings and blow my expectations out of the water with how much they could move, in one load, in a relatively short time frame. The only negative I can think of is that we will have to hire them for every move from now on. Still. Worst. Moving. Company. Ever. Updating as the insurance company finally reached out to me after I filed a BBB complaint (Complaint #12032457) with EcoMovers. Sadly nothing seems to have moved forward yet other than them asking for an itemized list, which I provided. In addressing the response from EcoMovers, their statement is demonstrably false. They asked for a form to be filled out, which I did on 11/23/2016. They asked for further information ONCE (11/30/2016). I responded asking a clarifying question, specifically about what to do for items that I don't have receipts for (e.g. furniture my grandfather made, gifts, etc) and they ignored the question (11/30/2016). When I reached out to them to clarify again (12/18/2016) they again didn't answer the question saying they were waiting on me and suggested we speak on the phone (12/18/2016). When speaking on the phone I asked again about the receipts and was told simply that the matter was being handed off to insurance to expedite things. This is of record in the BBB complaint as well. The fact that they'd resort to lying to paint me as uncooperative further demonstrates their true nature. They did a poor job packing, communicating with their staff about timelines, they've been largely uncooperative in dealing with resolving the damages, and they're now resorting to outright lying to save face. I'm sure they're a fine moving company when nothing goes wrong but that'd be most companies really. The fact remains they messed up and they're pretty much refusing to resolve the insurance issue (I always pay extra for the full value coverage since I have a fair number of collectables among other things). read more

The crew that showed up was nice but ridiculously slow. It took 12 hours for 3 guys to do just 1 truckload. By then I gave up but there was still a lot of furniture left at the old house. In the end I spent *way* too much money and had to borrow a truck from a friend and spend the next 4 days after work moving myself. read more

If I still lived in the Seattle area, I would definitely be a return customer for Eco! I had an excellent experience with them when they packed up my apartment to hand off to a long distance mover, but only upon unpacking my boxes at my destination did I fully appreciate what a good job they did. The long distance mover charged by item, not weight, and Eco Movers was looking out for my best interest by packing things together into larger boxes. While unpacking, I realized how smartly they had combined things such that less durable items were surrounded and protected by more durable items. I'm impressed at how they were able to make those decisions while they packed, since they also worked very quickly and efficiently. It would have taken me a lot longer to figure out how to pack things with the same quality. None of my belongings were lost and they arrived safely. It was also hugely helpful and convenient that they could take away furniture I no longer wanted for something like $25 a piece. The only thing I wish had gone a little smoother was the paperwork. Since they were handing off my things to a long distance mover and had to deal with the long distance mover's paperwork, I felt like the paperwork wasn't explained very well to me and I had to fuddle through the insurance elections and hope I was doing the right thing. read more

Everything from the estimate to the office coordination and of course through the moving itself was a pleasant experience. I had Eco-Movers provide both packing and moving services. Rick and his crew were extremely professional and made us at ease throughout the whole process. The work performed was done inline with the initial estimate and everything was delivered in pristine shape. We also used the eco boxes which made unpacking very easy. Disposing cardboard boxes is such a pain to break down and get rid of - with Eco boxes you just stack them and let the crew pick them up when you're done. This company was the only solace I had during a nightmare move from Southern California to Seattle. I stupidly decided to have my stuff shipped in uboxes with Uhaul. Huge mistake. Uhaul took my stuff and then jerked me around for weeks about where my boxes were going and when I could access them. Glenda and Claudia from Eco-movers were fantastic and super patient when I had to change my move date and time several times because Uhaul is the worst. The movers that came to move my stuff in were fast, professional and genuinely nice guys. None of my items were damaged in any way. Update: I originally posted this review here, on Google and on the Eco-Movers facebook page. Within an hour of posting, they called me to discuss my missing furniture. They suggested sending one of their guys out to my house to see if he could locate the missing items (... sure, ok). Shortly thereafter, they sent someone out. Not surprisingly, they were unable to find the furniture BECAUSE IT WAS LOST BY THEM DURING THE MOVE, HELLO. The guy who was here said, "they'll be in touch." Here we are, more than two weeks later, and NADA. No phone call, they aren't responding to my emails, nothing. They did, however, spam me with a discount coupon to give to a friend if anyone I know is planning to move. HAHAHAHAHA, thanks, guys. At least I got a good laugh out of it. tl;dr: DO NOT RECOMMEND. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original Review: We used Ecomovers for a move on December 28, 2016.. In the course of the move, most of our patio furniture went missing. Ecomovers insist that they have no idea what happened to it. The patio furniture was the last thing they loaded on the truck and should have been the first thing they unloaded at the house. We did not realize that the furniture was missing until we finished unpacking all of the boxes in the garage (we thought the patio furniture was buried behind the boxes). Back story: Through the course of the move, I reminded them several times about the patio furniture. When we first discussed it early in the day, the lead mover picked up a small side table and an ottoman for the furniture and loaded them in the truck. They then went back to loading the rest of the boxes and furniture in the house. I reminded them again when the truck was fully loaded, and they loaded the remaining furniture last (two swivel rockers and a second ottoman). Interestingly, the move was from a location 0.5 miles from our house, but the movers took almost 40 minutes to get from the rental house to our house and gave me no explanation for the delay. At the time we were busy unloading our own cars and didn't question them on where they were, but now I am thinking that something happened during the interim - perhaps they didn't properly latch the door and the furniture fell out? I've called and emailed Ecomovers repeatedly about this. They first suggested that maybe the furniture was still at the rental house (not the case.) They then suggested that maybe we just hadn't found it at our house (also not the case - it's kind of hard to not notice patio furniture!) The rep I spoke with said that the movers remembered loading the furniture into the truck, but did not remember where they put the furniture when we arrived back home. They say that there is nothing they can do because their guys "can't remember" where they put it. The only pieces we have left are the first two pieces they loaded (side table and one ottoman). The contract allows for a whopping $0.60 per pound for items lost or damaged. The furniture they lost was purchased at Summer House in Bellevue and cost us $2,500 new. They have offered me nothing in compensation other than offering to refund the 40 minutes worth of time when the movers went missing. Other than this, my experience was great (but that's kind of like asking Mrs. Lincoln "how did you like the play?"). Eco Movers was recommended to me by a friend and I'm so happy I went with them. Glenda made my experience great because she walked me through the process so that moving day went smoothly. The crew of 6 led by Boni worked tirelessly!! I didn't do the best job estimating all my belongings so it took longer than we originally thought but they finished everything up until every last piece of furniture was unwrapped and in place!
