DeHart did the most amazing job of taking care of me. Despite my tale of 2 months without heat during the bitter cold of winter, they absolutely took care of me. When another company took advantage of me, stole parts and cut all the wiring to my furnace, DeHart actually put customer service first! They restored the heat to my home! The only reason I'm giving a 3 star review is because of what I feel are pushy sales tactics. When it comes time for the repair they give you 4 choices worded as Preferred, Best, Basic and Bandaid. My HVAC system is roughly 15 years old and had been well maintained and filters changed monthly without fail. They pushed for a replacement system. All my system needed was two roll out switches! This is the first repair it has ever needed yet I'm told I should replace the system. Also, choosing to repair it or in their words put a bandaid on it; their choice to use the word bandaid I feel is insulting. read more

I recently left a negative review regarding an issue we had after our water heater was installed this weekend. There was a gas leak and we tried to get someone out, but couldn't. The place we called wasn't the direct line for Dehart, but the call center. The call center was the main issue and if Dehart did not call us today to follow up, this issue wouldn't have been resolved. Fortunately for us, we had someone reach out this morning and they immediately sent a tech out to take a look at our water heater. They did find a gas leak and fixed the problem right away. They apologized profousouly and listened to our concerns, which made us happy. At the end if the day, Dehart took our concern seriously, took the time to reach out to us to directly apologize, and resolve the issue. I believe I was way over charged for the service that was provided, repair leak in bathroom faucets, the faucets were never replaced the old ones are still there all they did was tighten them too where now They are hard to turn on, they took off a plate in the shower and put a bearing in it the shower head is still the same old one, to the tune of $480.00 dollars.they replaced two hose bibs and put in a shut off valve to the tune of $386.00. the price came to $1525.00 total. I will never use them again to do any plumbing repairs in the future. read more

After speaking with Stephen the CEO, I think the company cares to give good quality service to its customers and we unfortunately fell through the cracks. Everything that was wrong is addressed and they are working to make it right for us. I feel much better about this company and although it was a frustrating process, I am confident that if you buy a unit from them, you will get good service. The Bosch unit we bought is not something I would recommend, sounds like it has issues, but DeHart redeemed themselves. No product is perfect but they are standing behind their work and I appreciate that very much. read more

My AC UNIT acted up. Daughter disabled & no temperature control. Temps over 110 degrees. Requested service. Justin stated here 25 minutes. Over 2 hrs later shows up. Says breaker bad & wrote that on invoice! $289 for service call. I Had licensed commercial electrician here next morning who stated Justin has no idea what he's doing! Breaker was great! I don't know what happened over the years at Dehart, but service turned into predatory sales. Beware, especially those who are prone to be more vulnerable. I've been a customer for over 10 years; they use to be the business I went to for honest service. It's not what it use to be. Every time a technician comes out to my house under their maintenance plan (forget what it's called), the technician always find something to sell me by using aggressive, scare tactics--not sure if their technicians get a cut for every sale they make. They're busy trying to sell me stuff that they often forget to maintenance the things they came out for. I usually overlook this and try to be empathetic of their "grind" ... until recently. I had an issue, called Dehart to check it out, and they couldn't figure it out, but they conveniently and unsurprisingly used this opportunity to sell me $6-$7k ductwork that they, ironically, just replaced not too long ago citing shoddy work, which has nothing to do with the problem I called them out for. In addition, they also forgot that they were the ones who installed my ductwork and proceeded to ask me for proof of receipt, which I did (I'd think they have better bookkeeping). Suddenly, they backtracked, and the ducts are now fine, especially when I inquired about warranty. (Now, if y'all want to hire me to do record keeping, I do an awesome job. Simply ask my husband. I track all of his wrongdoings since we got together... joking but not joking but not.) I definitely got a second and third opinion from local, reputable HVAC companies, who also looked at my ductwork (found no issues), and they took photos of my HVAC unit (installed by Dehart and serviced by them ever since); it showed dust, dirt, and mildew that a Dehart technician tried to convince me it's a four letter word that rhymes with "old"--hardly looked like it was ever cleaned. I thought it was apart of the membership I paid for, for them to care and maintain my unit. Maybe it's not apart of the Dehart membership plan to make sure the unit is clean, but the other technicians from other local companies told me "it's no problem," cleaned and wiped everything down, and didn't even charge me. Soon after I received other opinions, Dehart came back out, took a look at my HVAC, and commented how clean it is since they last been out the previous week. I agreed; Loves Air and Honey are awesome. Can y'all just please revert back to old, former, honest business practices--service my stuff and let me know if there is GENUINELY a problem? I know times are hard right now; I get it. I really do, but geez, please realize I, too, need money to purchase eggs for my family. read more

Never promise more than you can, or intend to, deliver. It's the absolute most basic rule of running a business. They might be amazing, their service could be extraordinary, but since they didn't bother to show up, after confirming, I'll never know. I can be practical, it's the middle of a heatwave and there are surely a ton of people all experiencing emergency level AC problems. Demand is high, I get that. Though let's come back to that most egregious of business fails, not being reliable or true to your word. I was originally impressed that on a Sunday they were able to help and even went so far as to schedule an appointment late. A 9-11pm appointment time speaks to the high demand for services. Stuff happens, I get it, but that's why everyone has a phone in their pocket. It would have taken 45 seconds to have someone call and apologize and let us know they couldn't make it. Instead, we passed up the chance to spend the night in a hotel for the sake of our daughter's health, and instead we're left to swelter and watch her feeling increasingly unwell. Keep in mind she's a gymnast and in excellent shape. So, I'll never know if their service is actually any good because I value professionalism too much to give them another chance. Especially when someone else was able to show up the following morning, on time, and did an exceptional job. read more

Since we've moved into our house in 2022, DeHart has been a life saver in fixing our unexpected problems. First they helped us with a slab leak, which ultimately required us to repipe the house. Then they helped replace our HVAC system when we noticed a condensation leak in our garage, which they were also able to fix. I would highly recommend DeHart for your plumbing and HVAC needs. We had our initial service completed at the end of May... we had an electrician come out weeks later to install an outlet incorrectly and then had him come back out 3 weeks later to fix it just for him to walk away having done NOTHING. saying it couldn't be fixed... my husband a day later fixed it with no issues... to code.... today we were SUPPOSED to have our vents replaced to square ones. We were notified by text message the morning of that no one was coming. I immediately called from my husband's phone and got voice-mail. I asked for a call back to verify and got NOTHING. I texted going for a response and got NOTHING. called again from my phone and it went STRAIGHT TO VOICE-MAIL! Called immediately from my work phone and It rang, but once again VOICE-MAIL..... so I left another message asking politely for a call back and got one again....... NOTHING!!! Scheduled an appointment on Monday June 26, 2023 (AC not working properly). The incompetent technician came out, was at our home for maybe 20 to 25 minutes, then preceded to tell me that our ENTIRE home A/C unit was completely shot. I told him it was a system over 20 years old, and would have to contact my home warranty company and he preceded to tell me that it could no longer be replaced and gave me an estimate of $16,681.00 for a new system and told me that they finance, etc. etc. After 21 days of horrible heat (not to mention the extra $1,000.00 bucks we spent on portable a/c units and fans), had a reliable A/C guy (now a close friend of the family) come out, spent 15 minutes replaced the A/C capacitor (which happened to be completely CUT from my system), cleaned the vents, and our home has been a steady 76 degrees since then. Would not recommend this locally owned company for NOTHING matter of fact, I tell EVERYONE I come across that this company did us wrong like this... Always get a second opinion, these guys are horrible! read more

Was quoted a price over yelp after I explained what needed to be done. They told me they had a special for $89. I set the appointment for a few days out. Technician came out and quoted $315. There was no mis communication and everything was explained on both ends. I have a snake, just didn't want to deal with it during the week, with work. I explained to the office and she read our text exchange and still would not honor the original price of $89. They wanted $315 to snake a drain. I ended up snaking the line myself, it literally took me 20 minutes and I'm no pro. A professional could have done it quicker. I wouldn't do business with this outfit. I guess I should have taken their 3 star status on yelp more seriously. I figured something simple would be ok. A company that gives you a quote, should honor that quote, even if they make a mistake. CROOKS - came out today to my home to do an inspection. Within 5 minutes of the technician leaving my water heater was pouring water out into my garage (I know it is due to be replaced). Hired twice, disappointed twice, had someone else finish the job twice. We bought a small, older home 4 years ago. The air conditioner went out on in the summer, 104 degrees outside. DeHart told us we needed a new unit, cost 15K. I decided to get a second opinion, the second opinion fixed our air conditioner for under $600.00, and it still works great to this day. It runs all day right now because I have no attic insulation at the moment. Which leads to my next story . The 2nd time we used them was few months ago. We paid $1,500.00 to have the attic cleaned and prepped for new insulation. Please refer to pictures for DeHart's finished product. What was left in the attic was Rat poison, old shingles, Rodent body, rusty nails, dirty insulation, Rodent poop, etc... I have called and emailed Dehart/Greenhart but have not had my calls returned. I had someone else finish cleaning the attic. I expected better quality. I do not want to invest into new insulation just to have it laid onto filth. I will be hiring someone else to reinstall insulation and clean my ducts. I also won't be calling them in the future when I DO need a new air conditioning unit and tank-less water heater. read more

We have had a maintenance contract with DeHart for years. Our aging system was on the verge of giving out so we decided to have DeHart install a new system and also replace all of the ducts in the attic. Deon thoroughly explained all of our options. We decided to upgrade to a more powerful and more energy efficient system than we previously had. Once we signed the contract, we were told that the work could be done the following day! This was a big job! How could they possibly complete it in one day? There were a lot of obstacles that would make removing the old compressor out and the new one in very problematic. The next morning the DeHart team arrived and quickly started to work. I don't know how many workers there were, but each one knew what they were doing and got right to work. How they removed the old compressor and got the new one in place was with a huge crane! I thought it would take a long time to remove all the ductwork and install the new ducts, but somehow every aspect of this major job was completed the same day. Unbelievable! I highly recommend DeHart for your HVAC needs. We are also going to have DeHart install a water softener. read more

DeHart installed a split system in my home. The price was competitive, they were on time and completed the project on time. Mike, Tim and Linda were very nice and accommodating. Mike and his team covered the floors and clothing in the closets every day and cleaned up daily. They also completed a similar system for a friend with the same customer service and on time performance. I would highly recommend DeHart to anyone. I have been a customer of DeHart for a number of years. I recently asked for repair work on a tankless water heater. It was beyond repair and I ordered a new one The original technician took no measurements so the second technician could not do the work. The third technician got the unit installed but did not have all of the parts to complete the job. This took a 4th appointment. The job then failed the city inspection and I have 5th appointment tomorrow to correct the problem. During this time I left two or three messages for the plumbing supervisor none of which were returned. read more

I was out at Tulloch Lake this weekend and encountered a very rude young man driving a DeHart company pickup and towing a trailer. He ran a cyclist off the road and was not very nice. Then the cyclist mentioned the careless driving to an older man also driving a DeHart company vehicle. This older man said he was the dad then started berating the cyclist. His anger, his hostility, his "choice of words" caught my attention. As I observed, I decided this is not a business I would recommend. Imagine if they messed up my repair? Moral of the story, if you are going to be a jerk, don't do it in a company vehicle. The owner said they do not use trailers. They pickups, with their name clearly printed on the side doors, were towing boats and stuff. Very professional and have hired them a couple times but sadly they screwed through the surface of my kitchen island under the sink. Would hire them again but this really sucks considering I spent thousands of dollars to have my water purifier system and was very expensive to have it installed by DeHart. 2 stars is only because I am left with these screws poking out. I understand how they screwed up. Update 11/15/2018: They contacted a very professional and kind carpenter to fix the damage to the island and now it looks as though no damage ever occurred. I am very happy with their professionalism and promptness in taking care of the mistake and of course happy with the installation of the water purifier and previous work they have done to my home. read more

Thanks to DeHart we have been without heat for 2 weeks. Our system is less than 3 years old (installed by DeHart) and now there is a part that needs to be replaced. We were originally told it would be a week. When we followed up after a week, we were told it could be another 2 weeks before the part arrived. In the meantime, temperatures have dipped into the 30s in the mornings and we are without heat. DeHart is not proactively reaching out to us and I had to ask for a space heater before they delivered one. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Move on and find a company that actually cares about its customers. read more
