The headlines this summer have been dominated by the heatwave. Records of long year's standing have been shattered only to be broken again within days. New terms have been heard on weather reports including "heat dome". Much has been said about human-influenced climate change. I don't know anything about either global climatology or local meteorology. I'm simply a disabled senior with a wife who is also disabled. Two seniors plus their pets (four dogs) in a house with a dead air conditioning system. It was making everyone totally miserable. The daytime heat was bad with little nighttime relief. We stuck it out for as long as we could. We reached the point where we couldn't take it anymore. We had to get the system repaired regardless of cost. It was time to utilize Yelp and find a heating and cooling system repair company that could come out. Of course finding such a company in the middle of the heatwave was not easy. Several companies gave us appointment estimates of over a month away. We were at our limit. Fortunately, I came across one company that indicated that they could send someone out in a couple of days. I don't know anything about the home's a/c system. There's a thermostat on the wall, a unit in the backyard and a "room" on the side of the house. I make changes on the thermostat, the unit turns on and in my mind cool air is supposed to fill the house with comfort. Beyond that I'm totally ignorant. Thankfully Mike, the technician that Yourk Heating and Air sent out was outstanding. I might be ignorant but Mike wasn't. After checking out the unit in the backyard he checked the controller and within minutes knew exactly what the issue was. I grew up in the backyard mechanic era. Cars were relatively simple to diagnose problems and with some exceptions easy to repair. As everyone knows those days are over. Everything is computer-controlled. Home heating and air are no different. Mike used his testing device to check out the controller's circuit board and determined that it had died and needed to be replaced. The board was ordered and immediately upon receipt Mike brought it out and within short order had it installed. He let me know that it would take up to five hours for the house to cool down. Folks, that was a long five hours! That night we got the best sleep we'd had in weeks. Being able to sleep through the night without being drenched with sweat was glorious. We woke that next morning fully rested. Thank you, Mike. Needing the services of a heating and air conditioning company is never good. When you, however, need one, you want the best. After all, why get a quick fix from a fly by night company only to have them return as they did not get it right the first time? That is why I very highly recommend Mike and Yourk Heating and Air Conditioning. I don't expect to need emergency service but when I want routine servicing I'll be calling Yourk and requesting Mke come on by. As a sidenote and you can interpret it as you wish, seeing on Mikes vehicle door the Sign of the Fish, was, for me, further sign that there would be a good outcome. Again, thank you, Mike. read more

I've worked with Yourk for almost 6 years now from our old house to our most recent move, and I've recommended them to my whole family. Michael the owner even remembered the street names to my parent's house after 3 years! They are super quick to answer calls and come out for an estimate. After getting quotes from 4-5 businesses, they've always been the most reasonable price in the valley and have never tried to upsell us on more than we needed. They've done maintenance, fixes, and even replaced the whole unit (30+ year old home). Our most recent AC issues required a full replacement job, and they were able to do it within 12 hours of our AC breaking. I am very grateful as we've literally had AC companies in the past take our money after "fixing" and then completely ghost us after it broke again a few days later. An absolute lifesaver. Courteous, professional, kind, helpful and on the job when you REALLY need them. 24 Hour emergency service. Mike is fantastic and so are his supporting technicians. When a company goes above and beyond for its customers it is worth noting and telling others about. The AC stopped working in the midst of a heatwave, at 8pm at night. To make matters worse I was going out of town and had a dogsitter coming (the very next evening) to stay with my two (very large) dogs. Mike answered my call himself, came over at THAT night and diagnosed the problem. He did not have the parts to fix it (we needed a new coil and the board needed repair) BUT he brought in his emergency crew and they arrived (before they said they would) the very next day. They got the AC up and running and even though they had to call Mike back (to deal with the board) they had it fixed the very next day. The price seemed commensurate with what was required and even if they aren't "the cheapest" they do excellent work and were THERE IN A TIME OF DESPERATE NEED. I highly recommend them for all of your AC/HVAC needs. I will absolutely use them exclusively in the future. Thank you, Mike for saving us from the heat and our (old) BAD, AC install. 5 stars plus. It's now 76 degrees and cooling down and we are so thankful for Yourk, Mike and his techs. Called Yourk to give us an estimate to fix our central air. The employee just looked at unit (didn't even touch it) looked at the system inside and told us that we needed a whole new system inside and out for a price of $5900. We callled another company who came within a couple hours, replaced a couple parts and the cost was $150!! It is just unbelievable to me that a company was only out to try and sell us a new unit. read more

Called them to check our ac because it wasn't working, the charged $89 for a diagnostic and 500 for repairs, we ended up waiting for the original company to come out since there was a warranty for the ac but they were not available till days later and reasoning for calling this company. We found out all the parts the technician said was bad was really fine and it just needed to be cleaning and reset. Mike tried to scam me seeing how desperate I was to get the ac fixed. Pretty sad and beware if you want to use them get a second opinion read more

I called Mike when my unit was leaking. He came out quickly but after looking at the unit for about 15mins, he said he blew the pipe out but needed the coil and pan replaced for $5800. I was SHOCKED and had a bad feeling about his explanation and price to fix it. We paid a 10% deposit, so he could order the parts and come back 2 days later to finish the repairs. Going with my gut, I reached out to 2 other hvac companies. Sawyer HVAC came out the next day, and actually blew out the clog in the pipe, that Mike said he had already done. Sawyer charged us $65 to come out, diagnose and fix the problem. When I asked Mike for my deposit back, he gave all but $175 that he charged to grace us with his presence and try to take advantage of us. I have no doubts he has done this before. This man preys on vulnerable, desperate people that he thinks he can take advantage of. Call Sawyer instead. I will be calling the BBB on this company. read more

My AC went out on a Sunday night at 7p and Yourk had it fixed before 930a the next day. Their service, and communication, are always exceptional. I had a unit go out last year and I contacted 5 companies for a quote. Yourk gave me the best quote and was the only HVAC company that suggested cost-saving recommendations to repair certain parts (vs replacing) and they had the fastest repair time. 5 STARS!!! I set up the service call to repair our 17 year old A/C yesterday morning via Yelp and got an appointment for today. Thank goodness because we'd been without air conditioning since Sunday night and it has been a scorcher. The appointment window given was from 8-10 am and Mike, the owner, called this morning saying he would be at my house between 8-9am. I appreciated receiving the call so I could crate my 3 dogs so they wouldn't get in the way. He arrived wearing a mask and wore booties. 2 thumbs up for the PPE worn during this COVID-19 pandemic. He diagnosed the problem which was a broken blower motor up in the attic. He gave us the estimate which was a fair price. So ecstatic he had the part in his work truck. Can it get any better? The whole appointment from start to finish was about an hour. My house is nice and cool once again!! Mike was very professional and got the job done in a timely manner. Our a/c quit last night on a Friday, of course! They were great. I'm only giving them 4 stars because Mike was smoking in our garage. I started to smell really strong smoke in the house, so I asked one of the other guys if anyone was smoking, he said no, it was probably from the furnace. About an hour later, I went to check on them and Mike was in the middle of our garage, smoking a cigarette. He was very apologetic when I told him I could smell it through the house. My A/C stopped cooling all of a sudden during the typical 90-100 degree heat of summer in Central Valley. Desperately, I called around for HVAC help, and I was being told I would have to wait 1-2 weeks for someone to even come out and look. Finally, when I called Yourk, they answered my call immediately, sent a technician within 1 hour of my call, and diagnosed / fixed my problem (burnt wire to the capacitor) within 15 min. Though i liked the prompt service. I was shocked that the quote was $650.00 for a new heater computer. Which seemed odd to me since this is a newer home. After calling over half a dozen other businesses and getting nowhere quick I decided to hit up Yourk Heating and Air I was given an appointment between 4 and 5 pm and Mike showed up at 4:30 he was very knowledgeable and right to the task within 40 minutes on one of the hottest days of the year he had my A/C up and running perfectly I would definitely recommend there services and look forward to doing business with them next year when I eventually replace my 25+ years old unit. read more

My A/C unit wasn't cooling the house properly. I called them Thursday afternoon and they had a technician at my home first thing Friday morning. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Excellent customer service. The AC tech Mike was very knowledgeable and diagnosed the issue right away. Our blower motor in the furnace went out. I heard ticking noises coming from that thing prior to going out so I trusted what he said. He also cleaned out our outside AC unit as it was completely blocked from years of debris. Which is why the motor went out, it was working overtime with no real air flow. I highly recommend this company for your heating and AC needs. Very fair pricing with top notch customer service.
