I have been a customer of EcoShield for about a year. A few months ago they scheduled a service for my home (they email, text, or call you with a date and a two hour time frame without consulting with you first, which is annoying.) I replied that I did not want the service performed and that I would be out of town for awhile. The day before the service was scheduled I spoke the local office manager and told him I did not want service. He said he would take care of it. Of course, they showed up, serviced the outside of my home only (they usually service the inside as well), and then sent me a bill. I immediately sent a review stating the service was not authorized and to please remove the charge from my account. That was almost three months ago. I have called, talked to numerous people (wasting tons of time to no avail), cannot get anyone in the local office, and still cannot get this settled. They offered to come out and redo the service and had the nerve to charge me a $20 late fee! They accepted no responsibility for THEIR error and instead have continued to send me past due notices and leave me voicemails about my past due bill. I have worked in customer service for many, many years and I have never seen a professional company put the burden of proof on a CLIENT for a screw up the company made, but it has happened time and time again with EcoShield. It has been impossible to resolve what should be a simple matter. For this reason, I would NEVER recommend them. Ecoshield sold me on service at discounted rate as long as I did 2 services i could cancel at anytime . I did 3 services and still had spiders and ants . they only did 1 in-house service as the other 2 times they showed up nobody was home and they just did around the house . They also did a service in the rain which makes no sense to me . This is a scam, Scam, SCAM. The company representative gave me a discounted! first application of $100. I was told that if I am not satisfied with the results I could discontinue any time with no obligation. I was also told that if I see any pests and I call they will come over and take care of the problem.  I called, reporting problems with ants, spiders etc, and it was very hard to get through the busy lines ... when I finally got through they informed me that if I discontinue I owe them $300 because the actual cost of the first application was $400! I was impressed with the first visit. Christian was very professional and friendly and reviewed all the areas inside and outside the house that needed servicing. He took his time and really seemed to know what he was doing. Very polite and did everything he could to make sure I was satisfied with the visit. I never write reviews, but I am extremely angry. My last service was supposed to be on the 23rd. No one showed up, yet the $165 was taken out of my account. No one was able to help me when I called because it wasn't the "home office". When I was told to hold bc they would be contacting the main office, it was of no surprise they weren't able to deal with my call. I will absolutely be reporting this company to the BBB. read more

Horrible company. Scheduling is nothing like they promised. I can not get a hold of anyone at the local office to schedule. They tell you when they are scheduling your monthly service, at their convenience, and often send text the night before for the next morning even though they are supposed to schedule WITH you for when you can be home for inside or backyard service. They have no care or concern for customers or scheduling. In addition, last two services have been not adequate as there are issues and pests not eliminated. They said they switched to "summer products" yet these are inferior now. I have been trying to reach someone at the local office for a week now to no avail, to reschedule when owner can be there. I have left messages for a return call when it went to a vm after 20 rings. Call center could not reach anyone the other day as well. So frustrating. Disappointing company. Deceitful company, sell one year contract guaranteeing results. State you only have to reimburse the $50 discounted price if you cancel. No show for the summer for the second spray that is critical (per EcoShield) within 30 - 45 days to break the egg cycle. They conveniently want to shift their schedule to the end of November and February (in Minnesota) and then after cancelling the contract and paying the $50. They came after dark- already suspicious -then they left a window well cover off in a dark driveway while they went to check on other wasp nests out back. When I [76 years old] went to check on them I fell in the hole. The fire department had to be called to get me out of the hole. I am seeing the doctor as I don't yet know the extent of my injuries. When I called them to tell them what had happened they put me on permanent hold. They have my number; they never called me back. These people are dangerous. read more

This company is nothing but a scam ! From the day someone arrived on my driveway to solicit business. They told me they were doing work in the neighborhood and would be back in about 20 minutes. They never came back and then rescheduled twice before showing up. When I signed up I asked if I could cancel if I was not satisfied. I paid for all of their alleged visits to my home and after months of no results I said I wanted to cancel the service and was told that I had to pay over $400 for the discounted rate I was given when I signed up. Now I'm being threatened with them sending this bullshit bill to a collection agency. Heads up for anyone considering using them: a few of their workers came to sell service at my house. They said the Anderson's were using their service down the street. No one in our neighborhood has that name and I know no one uses this company. They said our house lot was a different size than the others. In fact, we live in a neighborhood where all house lots are the same size. I never invited them to my backyard but they started walking to it and opened our gate. First of all, they charged $125 when they said it will be only $99 for the first month. They also mentioned that if we give them the contract with the previous company, they will give us more discount which was a bullshit. Second, They treated our .20 acre yard for about 10 mins at evening around 8:15pm. After couple of days, we found jumping spiders around our decks and even inside of our house. They all got kicked out of the yard and invaded our small deck and inside of our house. So if you just want to treat outside of your house forget about it. We will eventually need the service inside of the house. We just finished all the break repairs, so they must have been jumped inside when we opened the door for second to step inside of our home. Plus, they will not do anything for warrantee wise. They wont do shit about the deck which is apparently outside of my house and I see freaking jumping spiders everywhere. Third, BUT THE MOSTLY, when the sales person said there is no cancelation fee for the breaking contract. It is a BIG BULLSHIT. They charged $300 when we cancel the contract because apparently, in the contract it was the discounted amount when you first made the contract. You need to pay for it if you break the contract within 12 months. We said this is different that what the sales person was talking about so we cannot pay for it. The telemarketing person said it is under the contract and since we signed the contract, it will be automatically charged to my credit card. This company is very shady. A sales person showed up out of the blue stating that they're doing a pest control service to our neighbor at that time and offered me 50% discount of the same pest control. They didn't explain and disclaim any detail of service and rushed the service after getting my credit card info. After that they emailed me with a contract which I wasn't privy to what they scheduled for so called a future maintenance. After their first visit, I still see ants, moth and mosquito etc.. A month later, they called and texted me that they should visit my place for a maintenance which I wasn't aware that they would charge another $199! So I told them I don't want any more service. 8/18/2021 An unwelcomed salesman from Ecoshield Pest, who was illegally soliciting in my neighborhood, was trying to sell me pest control services. I had already told him 3 times that I did not have the time to speak with him, but he wouldn't leave. Then he said to me that my neighbor next door was going to sign up for their mosquito services if I did so that it would work better being that we are the last two homes on our street. Not wanting to, I signed up for what I was told was their mosquito service. He took my credit card number and said the initial charge would be $149.00 and that I would be billed bi-monthly. After he took my payment info, he said that he had to round up his other 2 co-workers and they would be back that day to start the treatment. So many hours later and about an hour before dark, 3 of them showed up and began to knock down spider webs off my house. I went outside and spoke with the unwelcomed salesman and asked them what they are doing and that's when he informed me that they were unable to get the equipment that day to start the mosquito treatment, so they would remove all of the cobwebs/wasp nest/bee nests off the entire home that day instead. He also offered to spray pet friendly pest treatment inside the home at no extra charge, to which I declined. I did not want them in my home. I had to leave while they were still here and much to my dismay upon arriving back home, my husband said they did not complete removing all the cobwebs, etc., which just to refresh my story, I was supposed to be receiving Mosquito treatment, not cobweb removal. My husband also informed me that one of the kids from Ecoshield told him that I wanted the inside of my home sprayed and then they proceeded to do that, which I had adamantly told them 2 times that I did not want them to spray inside my home. My next appointment apparently was scheduled for August 4, 2021. I intended to speak with them regarding the incomplete cobweb removal complimentary service due to their inability to acquire the mosquito treatment equipment that day, and their complete disregard for my wishes to NOT spray anything inside of my home and lying to my Husband by telling him that I did want them spraying inside my home, as well as why there is nothing in the contract about mosquitos that they filled out for me and then had me sign under the assumption that the contract was for mosquito treatment, and the last issue that I intended on addressing with Ecoshield was the bizarre conversation that I had with my neighbor about the mosquito treatment with Ecoshield. This was a bizarre conversation because my neighbor had no clue what I was talking about because he did not have a mosquito treatment contract with any pest control company. It was just another lie from the unwelcomed, illegally soliciting, pushy, Ecoshield salesman. So August 4, 2021 came and went and much to my dismay, Ecoshield was a no show, no call, but still charged my credit card another $149.00 on August 5, 2021. Ecoshield has now stolen $298.00 from my account and I have not received the service that I was told would be done. From the 1stencounter with Ecoshield salesman to present day, August 18, 2021, I have had a relative battle for their dear life due to contracting Covid-19 and was personally diagnosed with stage 2 cervical cancer. I am only disclosing this information because normally I would have taken care of this problem with Ecoshield right away. After being on the phone with Ecoshield for approximately 4 hours today having to repeatedly explain my situation with 6 different people directly and indirectly, I was told that they will not be refunding the $298.00 they stole out of my account, but they are waiving the $200.00 early termination fee, and they have cancelled my account as I requested. They came up with many different excuses for not refunding my money by referring back to their fraudulent contract for their reasoning. I spoke with Cassidy, who hung up on me, Zori, who was helpful, but unfortunately working for a bunch of deceitful, conniving, thieves that tried to make her look like the mean one. While speaking with her, I chose to incorporate the same technique of persistence until you get what you want, that they apparently train their salesman to do, by refusing to get off the phone until I was connected with the appropriate person that had the ability to issue my refund. Zori finally got me in touch with Chris, whom I asked Zori to please make sure she explained my situation to him so that I didn't have to repeat myself for the 3rd time. What a disaster. I hired them to go on my roof to take care of some carpenter ants. They came and sprayed about the base of the house and when I asked about the roof they said someone else will come back with a ladder. Of course, no one came. When I called after two weeks the customer service was horrible. You have to keep repeating the reason for your call and still they don't understand. I had to call the rep back several times until he picked up (he doesn't return messages). He had no idea what I was talking about! and started talking about other things. Both times this occurred during the follow up visits. Your representative sold me on your company because I specifically said I was having issues with ants and stink bugs. I consider that to be false advertising. On two occasions, I called after a service to report that I did not get the full service. One time it was raining and the technician did not complete the service, I believe because of the rain. Ok, I get not wanting to be out in the rain but then why come on that day? The second time I had construction fencing around the back yard which the technician did not cross to do the back of my house. While I understand the fencing was a barrier, he certainly could have come through the house to get to the backyard. Both times I called for the service to be done correctly. I also informed your customer service folks who answer the phone that I have security cameras outside so I am aware of what is done and not done...obviously, that didn't matter because it happened twice. If I didn't have cameras I would have been charged for a service I did not receive and your employees seem to be fine with that. During COVID I canceled several appointments, because as I explained to your staff I lost my job and could no longer afford the service. Their response was that they would reduce the price. I tried to explain that a reduced price was not the answer because you can't pay what you don't have. They absolutely insisted that I schedule an appointment because I had reached a deadline or pay the cancelation fee. I just don't understand this business practice! I spent more than an hour on the phone with your staff trying to have them understand the situation caused by COVID but they insisted they were doing me a favor by reducing the price and continuing the service. It is a shame that I never felt like my concerns about the deceptive marketing, my financial hardships, nor the lack of service were a concern to you.
