Big red flag. Sharing my horrible experience with this company, hired them recently, Signed thier contract. They did most of the preparation for the concrete job in my backyard (1.5 days) after doing a some damage to existing concrete they decided to not continue the job and stopped working. However, they did verbally communicate this, they didn't just disappear. But I thought it was unprofessional to not finish the project and not resolve the damage they caused. I had already paid 10% upfront. I had to hire another company causing major delay in my project as well as new company having to fix lots of preparation mistakes done by Odell. Just proceed with caution if you are going to evaluate working with them. Happy to discuss and validate if you message me. Very unethical and unprofessional to not finish a job because "I was asking questions." Tim one of the owners thought I didn't respect his expertise enough. They didn't want to fix their damage and were in over their heads. They deleted and blocked me on their social media when I tried sharing my experience but thankful Yelp is honest and leaves reviews up. Please hire a company with integrity, these guys take shortcuts and did not finish my job left my yard all tore up and prepared for concrete pour but left and did not want to finish. Ultimately I am thankful now that the job is completed with the right company and I avoided quality issues with Odell.

New sprinkler heads, valves and automatic water system set up. Alejandro was so professional and friendly. He came out and provided a quote, was there bright and early yesterday with a colleague. He left after discussing what would happen and told us to reach out if we needed anything. His one guy spent all day digging out, flushing and replacing all the sprinkler heads. Water was turned off for only about an hour as he replaced all 5 water valves. Then Alejandro came back at the end of the job to set up the automatic water system and test everything one last time. My folks are elderly and have been neglecting their lawn and so many sprinkler heads were completely buried, and the water timer was at least 30 years old. I would use Hidden Gem Landscaping again in a heartbeat!! Already recommended them to friends for other projects. Tried to offer them a tip since they replaced way more sprinkler heads than what we discussed and thought would need to be replaced thinking that the price for parts at least would adjust the initial quote, but Alejandro kindly refused.

I didn't proceed with the work at that time. In May of 2023, I decided to call Brad and only him to get him to bid replacing my backyard areas that were concrete that would flood when it rained. Bad drainage when they built the house. The bid came back, I added the vegetable garden redo so it could be done at the same time. From start to finish, Brad would stay in touch with either a phone call or a text message. Brad even brought sample pavers so I could make sure I chose correctly. They even replaced my patio hold down brackets as the others were redheaded into the slab. Having years of construction knowledge, redheads are short cutting the issue. I recently called Brad back to get Gills Hardscape to install rock on the front of my house. The price was right on point and all of my neighbors can see stellar workmanship. The new tree never came to life and I informed Deiby about it several times. He said he would replace it. Never did. Some issues needed fixing: -water main leaked twice (one during digging and again after pouring) -tear-off expansion board incorrectly installed (not flat along some walls causing pour to be wavy, and not level with pour so I couldn't tear-off and sikacaulk.. had to do some tedious cutting first) -turf started growing weeds and grass along edges because weed barrier wasn't installed deep enough (recommend turf caulk along edges during installation) -damaged some plants during digging -ordered excess concrete mix so we overpaid Just need to be more careful throughout the project and most of these can be avoided. Still highly recommend Francisco!
