    Cosmic Martini
    Sergio F.

I had to think about this one for a little bit. The friends I had dinner with were great. The aesthetics are wonderful, very modern and with dim lighting. It's perfect for either a date or a classy hangout. Service was also great, from being escorted upstairs at the end of the evening to the Lions Den speakeasy/upstairs, as well as our weakness, giving me a heads up on the food and allergies. And therein lies my concern. Besides the items specifically labeled with shrimp, our waitress told me that some of the fish sauce, and thus limiting my options from already a smallish menu. I was able to find someone that I liked and didn't unalive me :) The bar at the front, was a great way to ease into the night with their Cosmic martini. I also enjoyed a couple of those at our table. After checking with our server, we enjoyed the dip and appetizer sampler. My absolute favorite was the pomegranate-based Muhamarrah. It balances sweet and spicy well. The spicy feta and hummus were also delicious, especially with the fluffy bread they served. We ordered the picanha, which supposedly had a fish sauce so I did not try. The chicken was good, if a little on the fatty side. Their sourdough pide - basically Persian style pizza - it was a clear winner for me. We also tried their manchego cheesecake with strawberry topping. I would say that it's great for the vibes, appetizers, and drinks; I'd come back for that.

Fooq's is Back and Better Than Ever This place is like Persian influenced modern American menu. We started the evening at the bar while waiting for our party, sipping on the Cosmic Martini which has vodka, pomegranate, calamansi, and pineapple .. so refreshing and well balanced cocktail. For starters, we shared the Mezze Sampler with muhammara, tahini eggplant, and spicy feta served alongside homemade za'atar bread which the bread itself was to die for. It was the kind of opener that makes the table go quiet for a few minutes, and that's always a good sign. For the table, we shared the Jurgielewicz Half Chicken , the Winterfrost Wagyu Picanha with pineapple relish .. which was a little on the fattier side but still deeply flavorful and satisfying alongside the Cavatelli pasta with duck sausage ragù. And then think of it as Fooq's elevated take on pizza, The Tomato Pide topped with sumac onion, stracciatella, and Calabrian chili. The contrast of creamy and heat on that one was chef's kiss. We closed the night on a high note with the Manchego Cheesecake and the whole table landed on the Pistachio Martini as the after dinner drink of choice. Vodka, Borghetti espresso liqueur, cold brew, and pistachio ... indulgent, smooth, and dangerously easy to finish. And ilast but not least of the night calls for it, head upstairs to Lion's Den for an inviting after hours escape that's a destination in its own right.

Fooq's is the latest hot spot to go to in Miami so we thought we would try it also. It's an elegant restaurant with romantic decor and an attention-getting tree that is lit up in red lights! The guests were mostly couples on dates. Very few singles. Nice music and there was a bar upstairs also. Comfortable seating indoors and outdoors. Lots of lovely foliage. We loved it. The only minus is that the railroad tracks are right next to the outdoor seating and when the Brightline train comes racing by, it is super loud for a while as it drives past. There is a concrete barrier up but it doesn't really help so be prepared if it happens. Our server was Greg, a nice and knowledgeable man who helped us with the menu. We picked their signature dish, the Persian Pepper Chitarra, which is a pasta that's tossed in a sauce built from roasted local peppers, fire-roasted garlic, a hint of chili heat, and finished with crushed peppers. It was delicious. To accompany that, we ordered the tender and tasty Winter Frost Picanha steak. Yummy! Fries and Whipped Feta as our sides. Everything was very good. There was one mishap when the server brought out their birthday cheesecake slice for my daughter and he placed the candle with its holder inside the cake improperly. After she blew out the candle, the server removed the candle but left the holder inside the cake unbeknownst to us and when my daughter bit into the cake, the holder cracked her tooth! That was very painful for her for several days. We had a very nice time there and would go back in the future. We would not go during our birthdays (wink).

Red Florida snapper a 12/10 dish!

I am an old Fooq's fan; it's been a long time since their downtown spot existed; I'm excited it's back! I cannot stop talking about my recent experience! Fooq's is not just back, this spot is absolutely amazing from the exterior to the "welcome room" with standup bar to the tour of the outdoor area to outdoor dining to the sexy interior... I was thrown! Our time was 5:30 because that's the only time we could get for weeks. We decided to sit inside, I felt the air blowing on my shoulder, our top notch waiter, Rashawn, advised not to worry because they have blankets! Rashawn is an expert on the dishes offered and could explain, in detail, ingredients and preparation. That where staff training comes into play. The menu is Persian and exciting! We went with the Fooq's Feast ($95 p/p, there were 3 of us) an amazing offering. We selected the snapper as our choice of 3 proteins offered. Number of proteins depends on party size. Our starter was a Wagyu tartar (absolutely killer taste), each of us was served a tiny morsel. They brought out the burnt eggplant tomato and the Ranch Mast O'Kiar (reminds me of a delish taziki) served with their, straight out the oven, homemade za'atar bread. That bread is a 10/10 and so were both dips! A beautiful, filling salade verte enhanced by sliver thin slices of beets; every leaf was dressed with an ever so slightly tangy light vinaigrette. I was super impressed with the salad... we each had more and left nothing...not even a tiny leaf, in the bowl! On to our entree, let me start with this was an 12 out of 10! A whole Florida red snapper outrageously season covered with olives and caper berries and I don't know what else! I'm sure there was sumac and accompanied by their Persian crispy rice tahdig (which translates to the bottom of the pot) (8/10), pommes Fifi (5/10) and, to top the rice (Rashawn explained that's the proper way to eat) the Lamb Ghormeh Sabzi a hearty lamb stew with red beans and was definitely a 8/10. I loved, loved my dinner, the entire dining experience was top shelf! The attention paid by Rashawn and the team that backed him up, including Zak, the beverage manager, to the young man who found a young "official" to explain the beef aging process I am so happy to have dined there on April Fools Day, this was clearly no joke, Fooq's is here in search of that Michelin star and I know it will be coming soon! All three of us will definitely be back. As for me, it will be sooner, rather than later. We tried to book a table for 5 this week they had no availability until the 15!

What an incredible experience we had at Fooq's! The space is beautiful, with indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside and enjoyed the gorgeous weather on the covered patio. I was super impressed with the cocktails and drinks, everything was made perfectly. All of the food was incredible. The steak is worth every penny and was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend the brussell sprouts as well. To top it off, the service was fantastic. Our server was so kind and made sure we were taken care of all night. We finished the night upstairs at Lion's Den, which had great music and a fun, intimate vibe. Add Fooq's to your list immediately for a delicious and fun night out.

We were greeted by a warm and friendly staff and seated outside on the patio for an early Saturday dinner. It wasn't too busy when we arrived, but as the evening went on, the dinner rush started rolling in. The restaurant has such a beautiful Persian and French-inspired atmosphere that made the whole experience feel special. One tip -- definitely wear bug spray if you plan to sit outside because the mosquitos will find you! Thankfully, our server kindly offered us some, which was such a thoughtful touch. The mezze platter was excellent. My favorite was the green goddess dip, but we also loved the pomegranate molasses and hummus. The pita bread was warm, soft, and perfect for dipping into everything. We also ordered the Wagyu picanha served with pineapple relish, and it was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Brussels sprouts were another standout dish. The staff was attentive throughout the meal and even told us about the rooftop bar that opens at 9 PM. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back

Fooq's venue is sexy and stylish; high ceilings, dim lighting, and edgy color accents make the space feel both polished and a little provocative without trying too hard. The bread that comes with dips was so good it deserves its own mention. The lamb pide was beautifully seasoned without being too overpowering. The wagyu picanha was another highlight: rich and flavorful, not too fatty. One minor hiccup was the pacing. The kitchen initially sent plates out a bit too quickly, but once we mentioned it, the service adjusted smoothly. This was the opening week so totally understandable. Between the vibe and the food, it's the kind of place I definitely want to return to.

Four of visited this restaurant for my wife's birthday dinner. We ordered the Chef's Feast - a selection of several small dishes (very small dishes!) except the fish dish that was generous in size. At $95 per serving we expected plenty of delicious food. We got a mix of good and not so delicious food. In particular the ghormeh sabzi was very disappointing. Crusti rice (Tahdig) was nicely done but with wrong type of rice. (I recommend using basmati rice). The beverages and in particular the wine choices are significantly overpriced. The service was adequate. Btw, they never acknowledged the birthday event despite my request at reservation point. The ambiance in the patio is nice if you can tolerate the loud crossing of commuter trains right outside the patio. Did I say everything is overpriced in this restaurant and discouraging to return.

My husband and I came to this Persian inspired restaurant for dinner. This is in a location I had never been to before and isn't really convenient to other parts of Miami I typically stay in or go out to eat. We had a good experience, with my favorites being the Koobideh, and Tadig and French fries. The cheesecake was also very good. A lot of items were able to be made or were already gluten free for my husband who has celiac. I'm not sure if this is worth a specific detour, but if the location is not a factor for you, it was a good meal with good service and a nice wine selection. What I don't appreciate with certain miami restaurants is the tipping - we know that 20% service charge is already included and we had booked through Dorsia - don't try to trick us to add more tip (especially an additional 20%) that is really off putting.

Amazing food good vibes lovely service my only complaint is the portion of the kebab we ordered the filet kebab and were expecting a normal "Persian" style long kebab it was so so small. It was a skewer. But otherwise it was very tasty!! And I would recommend!!!

The whipped feta dish was bright, fresh, and packed with flavor, while the zucchini chips were perfectly cooked they were light, crisp, and addictive. My daughter ordered the non-alcoholic dragon fruit "martini" and absolutely loved it. It was tropical, refreshing, and felt like a special treat. I went with the white sangria. The spanakopita was nicely flaky, the spinach filling wasn't overly bitter or pungent (my boyfriend is not a fan of strong feta flavors and enjoyed this while I am a feta enthusiast, we felt that this was right in the middle of our demands which worked great). We both love moussaka which is what my boyfriend ended up getting, dare we say it was our favorite moussaka out of any Greek restaurant in America thus far (coming from New Yorkers frequently visiting Astoria). It was broiled to perfection to give the cheese/béchamel layer a light crunch at the top and maintaining that richness underneath. The eggplant and ground meat were well seasoned. I really enjoyed my stuffed peppers as well (rice pilaf, ground beef, and feta on top), the tomato broth/sauce gave a nice sweet and savory flavor with the meal. Finally, a superb pistachio baklava, 10/10. Super impressed with what Miami had to offer for Mediterranean.

It a wrap that was cut in form of sushi. It was good. I was hesitant about ordering chicken wings but I'm so glad we did because they were so delicious and crispy. They may have been the best chicken wing I've had. The service was excellent. I accidentally dropped my cocktail and they immediately cleaned it up and moved us to another clean table. For context, I worked in fine dining in New York and Miami for almost 20 years, so I notice the details immediately, hospitality, management presence, the energy of a room. You can usually tell pretty quickly what kind of operation you're dealing with. We were a party of five. I arrived with my four-year-old son and was greeted warmly by the hostess. That warmth ended instantly. Standing directly behind her were two managers in suits blocking the main entrance. Both looked straight at me and my child and said absolutely nothing. No hello, no smile, no acknowledgment. Anyone in hospitality knows that moment sets the tone. As an Arab woman who grew up around a culture where hospitality is everything, it was already a bad sign. We were seated outside and the vibe stayed cold. Unfortunately, the food matched it. We ordered a lot because I genuinely wanted to give the kitchen a fair shot. I grew up eating Lebanese food and what stood out most was the lack of soul. Everything felt flat, like it needed salt, lemon, brightness, that warm Mediterranean seasoning Lebanese food is known for. The tabouli was especially shocking. A $20+ tabouli with no bulgur that was so roughly chopped it was basically whole parsley leaves and slices of onion. Any Lebanese auntie would die at the sight of it. At one point I asked our server if they had harissa or any kind of spicy sauce. She said the only option was Sriracha. In a Lebanese restaurant that charges $18 for a tablespoon of hummus. An Asian chili sauce as the only option. What made it even stranger is that harissa is listed on multiple dishes on the menu, so it clearly exists somewhere in the building. I asked for the Sriracha anyway out of desperation for flavor. It never came. Same with ketchup for my toddler's fries, it took three requests. Throughout the meal I walked around the restaurant several times taking my son to the bathroom, looking around the space, even going upstairs to the lounge. Not a single person acknowledged us. Not a host, not a server, not a manager. The bar is right by the entrance and every time we looked over at the bartender and bar manager, just blank stares. At one point we were clearly standing there confused looking for the bathroom in an empty restaurant and still had to say "Excuse me, where is the bathroom?" Wild. Later I walked up to the bar myself to ask if they carried mezcal. After dinner I went back to order one. Same energy--zero warmth, zero engagement. And this is with an automatic 20% gratuity already on the bill. The mezcal was a $25 two-ounce pour and I still had to ask for an orange slice garnish because no one offered it. Empty bar, two people behind it, and I still had to request it. Also worth noting, our reservation was at 5:45pm and the restaurant was practically empty. Yet I didn't see a single manager walking the floor, greeting tables, or checking on guests. I had talked this place up to my party because I'd been so curious about it for years, and it was honestly a huge letdown. If you know Lebanese food and understand Middle Eastern warmth and hospitality, this probably isn't the place for you. Expect cold, almost nonexistent hospitality and food that feels stripped of the soul that makes Lebanese cuisine special. The space is beautiful. I'll give them that. Everything else felt like a very on-brand Miami disappointment, what happens when you give people a beautiful restaurant, expensive food, automatic gratuity, and no leadership. From the lack of authenticity and attention to detail, it's hard to believe anyone truly Lebanese is behind this operation. If anything, it feels more like a polished money grab. Honestly, it might have been less jarring if they just called themselves "Mediterranean" like so many other places in this city. But if you're going to call yourself a Lebanese restaurant, the culture and hospitality should actually be there.

The communication became increasingly contradictory, and instead of transparency and professional assistance, we were eventually accused of acting "fraudulently" and formally trespassed from the property. What shocked us most was not only the disappearance of a valuable personal item, but the way loyal customers were treated afterward: no transparency, no proper cooperation, no accountability, and accusations without clear proof. We remained respectful throughout the entire process and simply asked for clear confirmation regarding the footage. Instead, the situation escalated into accusations and threats of trespassing. Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and cooked so well, but the lamb was definitely the standout for me. It was incredibly tender, juicy, and full of flavor, the kind of dish where every bite just melts. We also loved the other dishes we tried and the sides complemented everything perfectly. Definitely a spot I'd come back to for both the food and the overall experience!

We were whisked inside to the intimate, dimly lit interior with a DJ table tastefully tucked away in the back of the space. Service was welcoming but overall, not quite as warm and attentive as I've experienced at other places in town. We started off with the Turkish Manti Dumplings, which were the standout of the night. The complexity yet restraint of flavor, balancing indescribable buttery, roasted, earthy notes with a touch of umami and subtle tanginess from the yogurt. The Mezze Sampler was a nice option for trying three of the dips. All very tasty, but I've had slightly better elsewhere. The Sweet Jeweled rice was the other standout with flavor and textural variety that made each bite pop. I found the Roasted Brussels Sprouts undercooked and lacking the same level of flavor as the other plates. The weakest dish of the evening. The Grilled Whole Bronzino got top marks from the meat eaters at the table. Overall, 4/5 stars for a delicious meal but with tough competition around town limiting my ability to hit that 5.

Meraki is a beautiful restaurant with truly authentic and delicious Greek food! And I'm Greek, so…read moreyou can take my word for it ;) While it may seem slightly off the beaten path right off Flagler, it's very conveniently located by the Knight Center metro stop and a very easy walk from the bridge. Also, the atmosphere they've created both indoors and outdoors really draws you in: beautiful foliage, gorgeous decor, and inviting decor. They play amazing Greek music to set the mood at a very reasonable volume so you can still hear your party. I've been for lunch during Miami spice and recently for dinner. Everything I've had was delicious with tons of flavor and huge portions. Both times I took enough leftovers for another meal! I especially love their zucchini fritters and their spread plate. All their spreads are so fresh and flavorful but their hummus especially was soo good. My husband and I shared the meat platter for two for dinner and enjoyed everything on it - the loukaniko was especially delicious! For dessert, you can't miss the galatoboureko, a sweet custard dessert with the flaky phyllo dough you know and love from baklava. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend for a lunch date or dinner date and it's super versatile: great for friends, families or romantic dates. Don't miss this beautiful restaurant in downtown!

The food is super tasty, super fresh, portions are adequate without paying a steep price. The salad: we got a greek salad, it was way bigger than what we expected, the tomatos and feta cheese were delicious and my fiance thought that this was the star dish. Its not your basic salad. The waitress prepared it right infront of us and cut fresh tomatos and veggies on a station. Saganaki: must order, this was my favorite dish. Even though its such a simple ingredient (cheese) the flavor is crazy, they torched it and heated it infront of us and we couldn't stop eating it Souvlaki: the chicken was delicious, we got two full skewers, they serve it with fries and their special sauce which is so delicious! Even the fries were delicious and well seasoned! Octopus: this was mind blowing, especially with the meraki sauce. This is technically an appetizer but feels like a whole dish!! And its only for $24 whereas other places tend to overcharge! We had planned to order more but by that time we were full. The menu is rich and there is still so much to try. We will be heading here more frequently and sharing with you our dishes!! 5 stars well deserved! Instagram: @ri_reviews961

The happy hour menu was fantastic with all $5 plates. We ordered drinks and a couple items. Then ordered more. Awesome tasting food as well as the service. There is a parking garage directly connected and the restaurant does add 20% service tip. This spot is now in our favorites list. Make sure you stop by and give them a try. Enjoy!

During that time, we made the mistake of trying Mortex Mediterranean, and it was an absolute disaster from the moment we walked in. The server was rude, untrained, and clueless -- she couldn't answer basic questions about the food and came back five minutes after dropping off our plates asking if we needed a to‑go box. We hadn't even started eating. My wife's dish and mine were passable, but the $39 wagyu burger for my 10‑year‑old was so bad he couldn't eat it and ended up crying. The fries were beaten up, stale, and tasted like they'd been reheated three times. When I told the waitress, she brushed it off with a useless "okay" and walked away. No apology, no fix, no manager -- nothing. For a city like Coral Gables, this place is an embarrassment. Terrible service, cheap ingredients, premium prices, and zero accountability. Even my son said we should've gone to Shake Shack because at least they respect customers and serve edible food. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. It's garbage -- poorly trained staff and low‑quality ingredients pretending to be a real dining experience.
