The Bauer Outlet is a fun store that obviously focuses it's attention upon the products offered by Eddie Bauer. The store is stocked full of all the things you would expect at an Eddie Bauer location. They have tons of their clothing, their coats, their bags, their backpacks, you name it. It has the complete array of Eddie Bauer products. As is the case with most stores in these outlet malls, I question how big of a savings you really can find. This is not to say that you're not getting a discount. But, I don't usually go to these stores hoping to find that great deal. Because it really never happens. Yes, you will get their items offered at probably a little bit of a discount, but don't go in here expecting a miracle. This is a large store located at the San Clemente Outlet Mall. Thus, there's plenty of parking because they have a large parking lot. It's pretty easy to get to because it's right off Interstate 5, and there's a whole lotta other shops to look at once you get here. Overall, if you want what Eddie Bauer is offering, this is a great place to go and check it out. read more

You're a tease, not a retailer! What was once a major fashion brand in America seems to now be as solid as the gossamer bandwidth it's accessed by. Having a couple of items in my closet that I loved by Eddie Bauer, I reached out to add to my wardrobe. And as a smart shopper, I always look at Clearance items first. So, I was so happy to see a couple of items that I had to have. With 60% off, I'd be insane not to snatch these up! So, in purchasing the items, I noted how many of the items were still in stock by the time of my purchase, and was glad I struck when I did. Then the waiting began... And continued... To the point that I couldn't believe I was still waiting for items that were on their way out the door anyway. I replied to the email that announced the confirmation of my order asking where my goods were. In about a day, they got back to me to tell me that they had canceled one of my orders, saying that they were not able to confirm the source could deliver. In a few days more came the fall of the second shoe. Literally. The sandals I ordered were now canceled too. In all my years of shopping, I've never had this happen. Ever. And I won't be giving Eddie Bauer the chance to screw me over again. Buh-bye! read more

Beware if the item you purchase is defective. They will NOT return it for you. Purchase a beautiful grey sweater. Put it in the dryer on low ( per cleaning instructions) for 2 mins to get wrinkles out before I wore it. The bottom hem rolled and will no longer lay flat. They would not exchange it because I "tampered" with the product. I love Eddie Bauer , but will not return to this store due to their poor customer service. read more

My sister and I popped in(I've never shopped there before) and in spite of not being able to try anything on (COVID-19 stuff) Leisle was able to help me pick out tops and bottoms in a straightforward, no nonsense way that was spot on! I rarely seem to find anything worthwhile at Eddie Bauer, but not is the case at this location! I came here looking to knock out some holiday shopping for my family as well as my inlaws. Walking in I was ready to walk out empty handed. Instead, I walked out with a large bag full of stuff and a lot of names crossed off of my 'to buy for' list. They had a great Black Friday deal going on which was great because, let's face it, Eddie Bauer is good quality stuff and you're paying for that good quality. Any discount it appreciated and a great outlet black friday deal is fantastic! Employees were very nice and helpful. One woman was determined to sell me on a pocket phone charger. She was nice, but even after I had mentioned I really didn't need/want another chord she continued to sing it's praises. That's fine. Glad she was passionate. Clearance area was either super small or super big sizes which was a bummer, but I've come to accept that as a usual occurrence at Outlet stores. But after all the discounts I was already getting, I wasn't going to complain to not pick anything off of those racks. read more

This Eddie Bauer Outlet location has been open since November but hasn't had a lot of exposure since the Outlets at San Clemente has only recently started to fill out with stores. They have a nice sampling of merchandise basics but not as exhaustive as the retail stores or website. For example, they don't carry boxer shorts. I am in the area passing time while my Mom shops so I wasn't seriously looking for anything. However, with most items 50% off it definitely whet my appetite. I have an upcoming trip in Lake Hughes so I picked up a couple of gadget accessories on the cheap. I purchased a waterproof gadget bag for my iPhone for $4.99 after discount. It looks like a larger version of the Speedo waterproof pockets you find in Speedo's board shorts but it is then enough to let you use the touch screen and take pictures. The second is a 6,000 mil amp usb battery charger with built im solar panel. It was $19.99 after discount and perfect for trickle charging when outdoors. Rick and Janice were the super friendly and helpful associated who rounded out my shopping experience. Rick helped me find another retail location where I could get some extra comfortable Eddie Bauer boxers. To bad it is so far away. C'est La Vie. read more

I had never shopped at Eddie Bauer before but got a gift card and went in for a casual shopping day and left with the greatest stuff and experience possible!! Sorry that I can't remember the names of the various salesman who helped me and my girlfriend but they were the best. They constantly asked if I needed anything, looked for different sizes in the back even when they were pretty sure they were out of my size and helped me contact another store that had the jacket size I wanted and called them so I could order it over the phone in the store! Kudos to this staff. Oh and I happened to hit the store when everything was 50% off, so that sort of doubled my take home :) Definitely have recommended it to my friends!!! read more

I didn't mention at all that I'm an hour away from this location and before we even started scanning, he double checked with me on the fact that some of those shirts were significantly longer than the usual and he went through the hassle of locating all of them and it was a total of 15 shirts, not including the countless stock checks I had asked for lol I will definitely stop by more often and recommend the trip to everyone I know in Orange County! The store manager here is quick to promise call backs but doesn't actually call people back. This company doesn't make buying easy. They refuse to accept returns by mail. Even with receipts and tags attached. Even when you're part of their rewards tracking program. They also refuse to sell by mail, or to transfer merchandise. Since their discounts aren't that good, shopping here isn't worth the effort. Better to grab things on sale through their direct channel. read more

Used to be a big Eddie Bauer fan. Don't see many stores around and perhaps others had the same experience I had with their dress shirts. Literally every dress shirt I got from them ripped on the right side at the elbow. The first time it happened, I was using a new cleaner and when they pointed it out, I suspected it was them. Unfortunately, after switching cleaners, every shirt one by one, ripped in exactly the same spot. Never had the problem with any other shirts from Nordstrom, JCPenney and more recently switched to Costco - no problems with any of these shirts. Only the Eddie Bauer products. Clearly an inferior product. Farewell Eddie! read more
