This is regarding their Online ordering. I placed an order on 5-25-26 & called on Sunday asking for status. The guy told me to call this week & Fedex will give me a tracking #. I called today 6-2-26 & a different guy told me the order was cancelled. No notification from them that it was cancelled & I informed the guy to give me credit since it's still showing up on my card. Since E.Bauer decided to close their brick&mortar stores, everything has gone DOWNHILL. There is no way I will keep shopping @ their online store w/this type of customer service. read more

My husband loves Eddie Bauer because he can find good quality clothes that FIT! He is 6'8" and this is one of the only stores that carries Tall sizes. I recently went to get him a birthday present there--and Mary was very helpful. She was so friendly and engaging--helped locate some possible clothes that were Large Talls. So thankful for Kendall and Frankie! I've been shopping for months for a trip and I had no idea where to start. We were there for Hours trying on different parkas and expedition jackets. They went above and beyond helping with sizes, selection, and explaining each product in-depth. They also had the patience of saints while we accumulated a mountain of jackets and asked a million questions about warmth and waterproof products. The store was clean, organized, and even with an incredible sale on a Saturday night, it wasn't crowded at all. This trip had me so stressed out, but I left buying the absolutely best jacket on sale. I'm finally excited for this trip again! Thank you both so much for all of your hard work, knowledge and customer service. I can't thank you enough. I used to enjoy getting gifts for friends and family but now I will NEVER buy any product as a gift. After purchasing two items for a friend and shipping it, she sent them back with a note saying that they didn't fit. Upon taking them to the store, I was informed that I couldn't return them to the store since it had been several weeks since the purchase and must contact customer service for a mailing label. I called and was told I could not return them for the full price and was offered only $30 for items that I paid over $45 for! I have spent lots of money at Eddie Bauer and am insulted at the less than honest offer. The tags are still on and the items are damage free. Showed up several minutes before closing time on June 26, 2023 to return a couple poorly designed shirts and the female worker was very rude and refused to open the door despite NOT being closing time yet. A fellow employee attempted to help but she pulled him back. She then claimed the company automatically shut off her ability to use the cash register and open the doors. I ordered a get well present through Amazon. It got there in record time but had a giant rip through the package and through the blanket. Eddie Bauer tells me to contact Amazon and Amazon tells me to contact Eddie Bauer. Neither will help me except to have me pay UPS to pick it up (it's a get well present and I don't want to create an errand for her) and pay for shipping. They will issue a refund for the difference, but the pick-up and shipping. will be more than the blanket. I have visited this store a few times and I am always impressed. How refreshing is it when the staff actually knows that product they are selling? I met Shannon when I went today and she told me exactly what performance I was going to get out of each of the jackets I was considering. Both of the girls at the store had actually used the products. The store is clean, well-organized and stocked well. I don't care how good the online technology is, you can't make the right decision until you go try on the clothes. Eddie Bauer removed all access to a call center with customer service agents located in the US. Want to call Customer Service? You get someone in the Philippines who is difficult to understand, and who understands nothing more than how to read scripts. You ask to speak with a customer service rep -or ANYONE IN THE COMPANY- located within the United States and they will talk in odd circles, letting you know that it is not possible. Eddie Bauer is a company of which I will let my top-tier, Gold status die. I will no longer purchase from this company. You, corporate execs who make these decisions--you are losing the type of customers that preferred the company for its previously excellent customer service. read more

I like this location because it's located at the Village in Topanga Canyon. The staff is always nice and the store is clean. Although they don't validate, I believe you have 1 hour free parking. Or just go to Costco and get validation. I've never had an issue with any returns either made in store or online. read more

When a company outsources their customer service outside the country let's say the Philippines. Service goes to zero..I had order a ski jacket online in the store paid in the store and paid for expedited shipping. Never got the package. When I called customer service I was on hold for 45mins they told me my jacket was on back order never received any emails..so I asked to cancel the order received an email confirming the cancellation. Then I received an email confirming my order called again on hold on for 30mins they reassured me the order was canceled and this morning I received a shipment notice. Now I have return the jacket in store. Although the reps were polite they no nothing about customer service. They tell you what you want to hear just to get you off the phone. Painful ordering experience After trying for over an hour to place an order on line , I decided to call customer service. I had to wait about 15 minutes but finally got to a sales representative. Unfortunately, the sales representative did not speak or understand much English. I was asked over and over again to spell name, street name etc. I then was told that the system wasn't working well so I was placed on hold numerous times. After at least 30 minutes of trying to place this order, I realized that I was probably not going to get the items I wanted because of lack of communication between myself and the sales representative. I went into this Eddie Bauer one time and bought a pair of socks. They asked if I wanted to be on their email list. Ok. After a couple of months I unsubscribed. Kept getting emails. Unsubscribed. Kept getting emails. I wrote a polite email asking them to respect my unsubscribe. Kept getting not only promotions but emails from customer service asking me how they did. Now I started writing very angry profane emails, and get more Robo replies and customer service requests for more reviews. I threatened to show up at the store with Trump supporters, more Robo replies. This is the most predatory, disrespectful company I've ever encountered. So, over the holidays I purchased a beanie online. I am part of the rewards program. I never received it. I tried calling customer service. But, hold time was at least an hour. I messaged customer service. After a week, I finally got a message back. Then I called customer service m, waited 20 min and they credited my account because the beanie was out of stock. Long story short I went into the store to see if my rewards credit still worked even though it was expired. I got a lovely sweater/fleece for 1/2 the price. I showed them my attempts at trying to resolve the original online order. They believed me. Every time I come into this location, I have had good customer service. My online order will take two weeks to deliver. Need I say more. I wonder if they have the product. 7-9 day to deliver two pair of pants. I think companies are hooding onto funds on the out chance they may go under. Eddie Bauer's customer service is just a place to be told what they can't do. I've read, and hope to not experience their return policy is exasperating. If you use a gift card they take forever to place the funds back on the card. While my experience at other Eddie Bauer stores has always been very good, Rachel at the Woodland Hills store is rude, condescending and arrogant. I visited the store in hopes of exchanging a t-shirt that I had purchased at another store two days earlier. Unfortunately, the t-shirt had some discoloration and I simply wanted to exchange it for the exact same item. I presented the receipt and the item. Rachel treated me like a common criminal. I was not asking for money back, there was a stack of exactly the same shirt in my size, all I wanted was to exchange mine for one that didn't have discoloration. We are talking about an $18 item. After several lectures from her she issued me a store credit for the price of the t-shirt. I cannot understand her logic nor her Napoleonic attitude. I am 70 years old, very polite and find myself in total disbelief about Rachel's behavior. Needless to say I will never set foot in this store again read more

Service and selection in my local store (Topanga) is generally very good. What I've been unable to get in store was easily ordered online. Eddie Bauer quality and style, regardless of where the merchandise is manufactured, is consistently very good. Their clothing and accessory lines only get better over time. I get the bulk of my casual and outdoor clothing from EB and have been a regular customer for over 30 years. One of my favorite places to stop and shop. read more
