This is quite possibly the most depressing airport restraunt I've ever seen. Given the current state of airport restaurants and air travel in general, this is a pretty sad title to have. The staff seems as if they'd rather be anywhere but at work. They tell you to use the QR codes to order, then another tells you the QR codes never work so to just flag them down. The problem is they congregate at the ends while everyone at the bar is sitting with empty drinks and trying to achieve the aforementioned "flag me down." Chili's and Land Grant are much better options for a layover or pre-flight drink, if your time coincides with when they open. The food is the typical overpriced and over processed airport fare, with nothing to make it stand out or really make you want to come back. I've heard there is a much larger location near the OSU campus, but based on my experiences at the airport, I have zero desire to venture out to eat at the larger public location. This place is always packed due to the limited options offered at CMH and the fact that they open hours before the other places. If possible, eat before you get to the airport, and get drunk on the plane instead. read more

I hate to say it, but the low rating is a pretty accurate representation of what you'll get here. A few things to note... 1) You order via QR code and with the service being rather spotty, make sure you connect to the airport wifi first. I was greeted by the spinning wheel of death while trying to order. It took forever until I connected. 2) The prices aren't terrible, but they are definitely "airport" prices. 3) I only ordered fries, which really aren't hard to mess up, but they were totally meh. 4) There's a lot of seating options. Pull a stool up to the bar or grab a table in the back next to the window facing the tarmac. 5) The service was probably the best part. Our waitress was really friendly and attentive. Annnnd, that's about it. There's a handful of other options in the airport, so I recommend checking those out first. read more

For a restaurant in an airport this place turned out to be pretty good. We went for breakfast and I ordered the signature breakfast. Basically a loaded omelette with bacon and cheese. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of it. It was $14.99 which really is a standard price if I had gone out elsewhere. It came with a plateful of potatoes and sourdough bread. Hopped in to get a quick lunch before my flight. Was greeted instantly by the server and was able to order pretty quickly as well. I got the smoked turkey club sandwich with french fries and a Diet Coke. The food came out within 10 minutes and was pretty tasty. I do wish there was more meat though. Overall was really nice. Truly awful experience even by airport food standards. As mentioned by others the employees are rude, unfriendly and seem like they would rather be anywhere else. The food is also terrible, the egg sandwich was mostly bread and tomato with one tiny egg that barely covered 50% of the bun. We asked them to substitute the aioli for cheese and of course they couldn't do that, the aioli of course was flavorless snot like slime. The potatoes were mostly dried up tiny pieces of inedible skin. After ordering at the counter I tried to sit at one of the tables near the counter and was curtly told we could not sit there, the explanation given by the apparent manager made no sense and it was certainly not worth arguing with someone hellbent on making everyone around her miserable. I had to order in my phone but once I did a friendly touch lady came up to check on me. I ordered the burger medium rare, and about 15 minutes later received it. I wanted to have somewhat of a sit down breakfast before I boarded up on a plane. I ordered a basic breakfast I came with eggs sausage and hashbrowns/potatoes. I thought I would never see the day that I had to cut eggs with a knife. This is no exaggeration. This is one of the systematic issues that exist at airport restaurants. The server should've looked at this food and sent it right back but instead passed the misery onto me. We work hard for our money and if anyone is employed any where there should be some level of give a f$&@k. This was clearly not the case. They feature a large bar with a handful of tap beers ($9 for a Goose Island IPA) and plenty of TVs. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich ($15) which came with fries and ranch dressing. The bartender refused to bring me the paper check I requested and said I could scan a QR code to pay, then brought me back from my gate as we were boarding to say the payment didn't go through. This is a scam they pull because they know you'll be in a rush to get back to your gate and may pay extra to resolve the issue and make your flight. There are a few Eddie George's Grilles around Columbus (I had previously been to the one on the OSU campus) and this one is at the airport. So, this review is of course slanted to understanding what is entailed in an airport experience: higher prices and food that should be delivered quicker given the on-the-go mentality of an airport. I would describe this Eddie George experience as Eddie's final season in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys. Not great compared to when he was with the Titans or a Heisman Trophy winner with the Buckeyes, but at least better than when Eddie went on the radio and talked about his penis size for some reason. I ordered the mac and cheese. It was $16.99. I've had it before at Eddie George's on campus. This was definitely an airport version. Quickly made, the cheese was runny. But, hey, I was starving, it tasted all right and didn't make me physically ill later. Service was solid. My server was kind and understood I just wanted a quick meal to fill up and pass out on my flight. All said, I usually try to avoid ever eating at restaurants at airports, but this is a sufficient enough experience if you want to sit down and pile some food into your body as you trek across the country. Pleasantly surprised by this airport restaurant. I stopped in for breakfast not expecting anything specially. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered the Big One. It was one of the best Omelets I've ever had. All of the filling was diced which made for even tasty bites. I don't normally get tomatoes for fear or hot, mealy, tasteless filling, but that was not the case. Everything was fresh and had great flavors. The only thing I didn't care for were the breakfast potatoes. They were chewy and didn't add anything to the plate. I would definitely return for breakfast. I would not recommend the lunch. We arrived at John Glenn International Airport early for an international departure. After getting checked in and thru security, we decided to look for lunch. As expected, Eddie George's was a bit pricey - but that's usually a given for airport locations. My wife had the chicken quesadilla and I had the spicy chicken club (and the spice was just right). The food was actually very good - almost excellent. Unfortunately, the quality of the service didn't match the quality of the food. Service was incredibly SLOW.
