Very good Singapore Rice Noodles. Spicy and very tasty.
Joy B.

I've eaten in a fair number of Chinese restaurants as it's my favorite cuisine. I do have some good things to say about this restaurant. I have tried it five or six times now, and I wanted to wait to try several dishes there before writing this review. I hope the owners will pay attention because this place really has great potential. In general, the food is very good or excellent, but a couple of the items are not. The Szechuan Chicken and Chicken with Broccoli are excellent. Singapore Noodles had a good flavor, but a bit over spiced with black pepper. Not with chili/garlic sauce or chili flakes, but overspiced with pepper. (Yes, I know the difference. My boyfriend is a chef), and the dish could use more vegetables. It didn't have any onion at all, which is usually standard with Singapore Noodles. The rice noodles themselves were a bit overcooked. I did like the flavor, though, and it's important to mention it because not all restaurants know how to make Singapore Noodles. Now on to the Orange Chicken. I will say that the sauce was the best I've ever had in my life! The downside is the fried chicken nugget pieces itself. It's 98% breading and only a tiny pencil eraser-sized piece of chicken in the middle of each breaded nugget. If you go ahead and open the nuggets yourself, you'll see that it's a ball of dough dipped in batter and then coated and flour and dipped in batter again. I was truly disappointed in this dish. We became curious and started opening all the nuggets, and many of them had no chicken in the middle. Try it yourself and see. We feel that this was deceptive, and for the price they charge, it really should have had noticeable pieces of chicken in it! This one dish made me very unhappy. I have a funny feeling that the General Tso's Chicken uses the same breaded nuggets, so we won't be ordering that anytime soon either. The Spring Rolls were a complete disappointment. The inside filling was unremarkable and mushy, and the wrappers were cold and soggy. Of at least 15 dishes we've ordered in the past month, we feel that where this restaurant really shines is in most of the main dishes and noodles. We really liked the others, and I have to say that even with a few blerps, all in all, this restaurant might be better than the majority of Chinese restaurants in Upper Montgomery County. I'd love to see them add some items to their menu, such as Cold Peanut Sesame Noodles, Spicy Eggplant in Brown sauce, and Vegetable or Chicken Goyza Dumplings. The prices here are about normal, but the portions could be a bit larger. They're okay, but not generous.. The most important thing is that this place is clean! I mean really clean. On a Friday or Saturday night when it's really busy, you'll be impressed to see the cooks crazily slinging woks, lots of big flames, and you'll agree it's certainly a show! Try Eddie Leonard's Carryout. I think you'll probably like it.

A solid take out place. We got delivery from here and I got the general Tso combination special. The egg roll was ok. The fried rice and chicken were great, where the chicken was cooked nicely and the sauce was great. The lo mein was also good without being too salty. I would get takeout from here again.

They are serving turkey sausage in place of a Turkey burger and had the nerve to tell me that is how they serve their turkey burger

I used to go to Eddie Leonard's in the 1950's and get the best tuna sub ever. Is it still as good?

For appetizers, we shared the salt and pepper calamari and the jah leung. The calamari was good was but was on the saltier side. I've never had jah leung; it was a very pretty dish and tasted interesting but not sure if I really liked the textures. For my entree, I ordered the beef brisket chow fun. I liked how tender the beef was but it was also on the saltier side. I got to try my husband's char siu place and my friend's crispy pork belly. Both were really tasty and I would probably get those next time instead! Overall, the service was good and I was pretty happy with the food in general (maybe I'm just sensitive to salt).

I ordered the combo fried rice for my entrée, and it was absolutely fantastic! Easily the highlight of the meal. Service was quick, but that's where things became a bit inconsistent. My entrée arrived way before my friends' meals, so I was left deciding whether to eat alone or let my food get cold. On top of that, our server had about as much personality as the napkin on the table. There was nothing outright wrong with the service, but it felt cold and disengaged. As a Michelin-recognized restaurant, the food absolutely lived up to the reputation. Unfortunately, the service didn't come close. If they matched the quality of the hospitality with the quality of the food, this would be an easy five-star experience.

Service was very kind and they gave suggestions for what was most popular and what they liked, and I went with their suggestions, and it was all so good! The hamachi crudo had a really nice refreshing sauce to go with the yellowtail, and the curry for the duck was really really good. The tofu was what I liked the least because the fry seemed a bit too doughy, and not crunchy enough, and the sauce wasn't the best. Overall very positive though! Definitely recommend this viet fusion restaurant!

I'll have to try that next time, but this time I got the Ceviche Nikkei, Lucky 12 (4pcs of 3 different types of siu mai), and the Aji de Gallina. My favorite was the ceviche nikkei; it was so refreshing and the tuna was the perfect texture! Out of the three types of siu mai, the siu mai tradicional was my favorite. The pollo siu mai has like a salsa in it that was very unique but not my favorite. The Aji de Gallina was very hearty and comforting. The chicken pieces themselves were fine but the stew was so delicious. The real star of the show was the dessert: ponderaciones de kiwicha! The banana ice cream it comes with was phenomenal, it pairs so well with the cocoa powder! I would come back just for dessert! The ambiance is really nice! Unfortunately, the customer service did not match the quality of the food. The service was slow, inattentive, and lacked the level of hospitality you'd expect. It was difficult to get our server's attention, and we often felt overlooked throughout the meal. While the kitchen clearly delivers an excellent dining experience, the front-of-house service needs significant improvement. I would return for the food, but I hope the customer service improves because it took away from what could have been a fantastic experience.

This is not a space to grab food if you're trying to have a conversation. We often found ourselves yelling across the table and when selecting items to share we crammed ourselves on one side of the booth squishing other patrons. Otherwise this would've been a 5 star review. Our waiter was amazing, albeit a bit distracted at times because of his service area, and helped advise us on the items we were interested in. We had: Koika No Karaage - their version of calamari - 10/10 - lightly fried with the most amazing texture and paired with a yuzu mayo. For the price I wish the serving size was larger but that's my only gripe. Kani - 10/10 - snow crab with spicy mayo - 2 came with the order and they were amazing. The Japanese crest was the perfect contrast to softness of the snow crab. It was also seasoned well. Hotate Toryufu - 10/10 - the scallops melted in your mouth. Amazing. No notes. California Maki - 6/10 - my least favorite thing here. It wasn't awful but it didn't compare to the other things we had. Drinks - I WISH I could remember the name of the drink I had. Hands down one of the best drinks I've ever had and was paired with sparkling sake. Bathe me in sparkling sake, put a bottle in my casket, I want it with me forever. I would come back for sure but would opt to sit at the bar. It would definitely be easier to speak to someone sitting next to you than across from you. For the price you will not get full here but if you want to share some small bites of new food this is absolutely your spot.
