Thoughts and prayers to anyone renting, leasing, or car shopping in 2023. If you've been out of the game for a while, we are in the midst of a Carpocalypse. No quote is guaranteed, every new car order is 6-9 months and that's if you're lucky. Buying preowned is like buying brand new price wise, there's MSRP hikes, misleading inventory counts, pushier and colder than normal salesmen, you name it! Which is exactly why you should avoid all of that and swing by Eddie Tourelle's Northpark Hyundai dealership. We contacted Trey Broussard via phone on a Saturday afternoon. We saw the car we wanted but it is never on the lot long. He walked out front and confirmed inventory for the car we wanted and price all over the phone. No catches and no tricks! They were closed Sunday so we held our breathes until Monday. We took it for a test drive. Trey showed us all the features including the amazing industry leading warranties and free maintenance which is included in the stated price. We were sold! The problem, we didn't have the money at a the time. We were hoping they could hold the car. We had been in the market for 10 straight months never really having a chance at a car. They hadn't had one in a while but they decided to grant us grace. After many missteps by our unnamed chosen lender Jeffrey in finance took great care of us. He was very courteous and patient. We found him relatable, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. He gave us that personal touch that is missing in most financial offices these days. Trey made sure the car was ready to go and helped setup our MyHyundai app. Thanks to Archie, Trey, and Jeff, my fiancé drove away with our dream car, at an excellent price, with an even more invaluable experience. If you want honest, high quality, great valued products with a personal feel please visit the team at Eddie Tourelle's North Park Hyundai dealership.

They proceeded to tell me that they were Chinese parts and they do not manufacture Chinese parts. So they wanted to put all new parts from their Covington store and take my mechanics parts out. Funny thing is they make 11% of parts in China. And my mechanic showed me the receipt that he bought them for Mercedes-Benz of Covington. They just wanted to rip me off. I picked up my car and I've never been back since. I even told the lady Foreman of the service department. That my mechanic bought the parts from here showed her the invoice. So she probably wanted to charge me another $500 for parts after already paid for them. So I took my car to luxury motor. He did it once over it was done.

We had our 2023 Mercedes Sprinter in for service for a couple days to have a windshield put in,…read morerecalibrate radar and check misc. fault lights that come on time to time. This morning at 10:18am we get an email with the mechanic talking showing our van is ready. He says the windshield is installed, the sensor calibrated and at this time no fault codes...he will test drive and he is done. We wait till 11:07 to call service to see if we can pick it up..we live where traffic is horrible on Fridays and want to get home asap. So we talk to Kyle who checks with Sherry Blades and says, "the windshield is installed but the sensor needs to be calibrated and the engine has to be checked for codes." I tell her this totally " this totally contradicts what the mechanic said in the video! " She said she would call me back, which she did. At 11:14 am Kyle calls back and says, yes, everything is done but the paperwork will take a while and we can't pick it up until 1-1:30. I told her I worked in dealerships for 20 years, after that I managed shops and then went on to teach, I know how dealerships work. I was pleasant but secretly not happy, as I know the most difficult thing is to get the parts department to close out their end before you close the ticket out yourself, but I know it can be done in minutes, not hours. At 11:28am Sherry calls and tells me we can pick up the van, I say we will be there in 30 minutes. Once at the dealership I get my invoice and wait outside for our vehicle. When I was pulling off I notice the large tape on the glass and then the greasy prints all over the A pillars...this is not ok..this is a almost new, very expensive, uploaded van which we keep very clean. Pleasantly I go back in and explain there is tape on the windshield and grease in the interior. Sherry takes off in the van and then within 2 or 3 minutes she is back, the tape is removed but the grease is still there. I show her the grease and instead of just taking it back to have it cleaned she wants to sit there and give me excuses about the van wasn't able to be washed so that is why it is not clean. First, no one can take our hightop aftermarket ac on the roof through any car wash. Second, no dealership ever takes any of our vehicles through their car wash, we wouldn't allow that and they ALWAYS ask if they can wash it, too much of a liability if they don't ask first...did I mention I worked at dealerships. I tell her I'm am just going to go and I am tired of the lies. She wants to argue but I tell her I am leaving. THEN when I am at home I turn on the wipers, wow, they aren't installed correctly! The drivers wiper arm is too low and the blade is hitting to metal on the bottom of the windshield, the top of the blade is going off the glass. So.....l called and left a message for the service manager, no response yet. Let me just say, we have had several of these Sprinters for years and we have brought a couple different ones in for Service and never had any issues. I don't think the dealership is at fault, I think it is Sherry. Our belief, Sherry was too busy so she made up lies about the vehicle not being done, unfortunately for her we had the video from the mechanic. Then when she was caught in a lie she made up an excuse that the ticket couldn't be closed out for 1.5 hours; we can only assume she wanted to go eat or do something else. As far as the grease in the vehicle, things happen, that isn't why we were upset. Don't lie...honestly works wonders!

Nope, you guys have been excellent to us since they day we bought the car. We bought our ride from these folks in 2018 and have been super-happy with the service department since. My kid had bought a car from them the year before and the finance guy, Micah, still remembered my name...and the model of the car my daughter bought. That's customer care. Just kidding, this thing really is badass and worth every penny. Still, you expect some things. One, the truck is lifted, so it doesn't fit in their wash, which means the truck hasn't been cleaned once by Hood. Not even after delivery. Not even a vaccuum or clean windshield. I hope regular vehicle owners are having a different experience. For an $80k truck and a $180 oil change, surely someone could pass a vacuum and wipe the windows down. My right speaker was blown during one oil-change visit. That took months to fix, and the service guys acted like it was my fault. Guaranteed it was not - the same song was on (Apple Car Play) when I dropped it off and picked it up...that rattle wasn't there before. It was fixed under warranty, but not very nicely. What's up with that, anyway? Why are dealers so upset about warranty work, don't they get paid by GM for that? Either way, warranty or paid work should still be done with the same smile and gratitude, in my opinion. Didn't mean to make the review a bitch session - there's lots to brag about. The shop is clean and well organized, the coffee is hot, and Ms Debbie always has a smile for me. The shuttle drivers are super cool, and I've been fortunate to be the first drop off every time, always making it to work without a hitch. It's an opinion, and not a reflection on this dealer in particular, but I sure do love me some Chevy. I'd buy another car from these guys without hesitation...I'd just be sure to get that carwash/vacuum promise in writing first. :)

After receiving no response to follow-up emails, I returned to the dealership in person. I was given copies of the signed cancellation forms and told they had been sent to accounting. However, after contacting the administrator, I was informed that the cancellations have still not been submitted. I am concerned about the lack of follow-through and communication. I am simply asking that the dealership process the cancellations that were already completed and agreed to. I would appreciate prompt resolution and confirmation that this has been submitted. Edit~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You can see below where Todd, working on behalf of the dealership, stated that the issue had been resolved. That reply was posted roughly four weeks after my original review. However, the matter was not resolved at that time because I had not yet received the refund. The dealership cancellation form states that processing would take 4-6 weeks. After 8 weeks, I had still not received a refund, and my lender had no record of any funds being applied to my loan. As a result, I sent a formal demand letter. The dealership later informed me that the check had not been sent. According to the documents and tracking information I received, the check was dated approximately one week before it was mailed and was mailed shortly after my demand letter was sent. For anyone considering optional products, make sure you understand the cancellation process and keep copies of all paperwork. If you cancel products, document your communications and follow up regularly. Also, make sure you receive an itemized breakdown of your purchase. I did not receive one at delivery and had to request it afterward. In addition, when I picked up my license plate, I did not receive the registration window sticker and will be obtaining a replacement through the OMV. At the time of this update, more than nine weeks had passed since the cancellation request and the refund still had not been applied to my account. Based on my experience, I was disappointed with the handling of the cancellation process and the communication surrounding it.

I came in as a single mom, ready to pay full asking price -- which, by the way, was already over Kelley Blue Book -- and somehow they still found a way to squeeze out more. Enter the $1,300 AutoGuard mystery fee! Never agreed to it, never asked for it, but there it was, baked into the paperwork like it was grandma's secret casserole. Only after I committed did they suddenly inform me it was "non-negotiable." Cute. Salesman Derek, and managers Tom and Paul, pitched me a story that the brakes, tires, and windshield would be fixed before the sale. Fast-forward to post-deposit: plot twist -- "Actually, we'll do that after you pay in full... and you won't get the car till the end of the week." Oh. So now we're playing Dealership Theater? As a cherry on top, I politely warned the next poor soul in the showroom about the scam. The finance manager didn't like that. He marched out and yelled at me in the parking lot for "being disrespectful to their customer." Sir, warning someone about your own shady practices isn't disrespectful -- it's a public service. This place doesn't run on transparency -- it runs on pressure, misdirection, and the hope you'll be too exhausted to fight back. I came expecting a car sale. I left with a PhD in dealership manipulation. At the end of the day, I bought the car -- not because they earned it, but because I'm a struggling mom who needed to get the hell out of there. And guess what? I ran into that customer at the gas and come to find out, they apparently told the next customer that exact same thing -- that I was "going through a bad divorce" Classy. Also, I was told the $1,300 AutoGuard fee was "mandatory and on every car." But when I chatted with that same customer? He said they told him it was totally negotiable. So... which is it? Mandatory for moms, optional for everyone else?? WTF. Disgraceful. And embarrassingly on-brand for 2025.
