So the real reason I'd say we did our 36 hour foodie trip to SoCal was my sister's birthday.It's hard for us four to make time to get together,so when a birthday came up-we made sure and found a way while also getting to do some really cool stuff in SoCal. In general I prefer to park my own car,but we were celebrating and my mother didn't want to walk from the nearby lot. Walking in,we were immediately greeted by their overly friendly hostess-she checked us in and made us feel quite welcome. The place is straight gorgeous inside, I was for sure happy I decided to wear my " upscale" shoes for this evening's event. Being that I had never been here before,I wasn't sure what the dress code was,I'd say it was business casual or resort evening wear attire. After a very short wait,our super-friendly server Aimi F was so very helpful in breaking down the menu for us and getting our drink orders in. Aimi F truly is the epitome of incredible customer service-I just adore how special she made my mother feel during this entire dinner. The citrus soy sauce and wasabi add an explosion of flavors in your mouth. Oysters were excellent too; our server recommended a few favorites. Enjoyed Blue Point, Fortune and Henderson Bay oysters. Mignonette and cocktail sauce were perfect complement to the oysters. Lobsters were succulent and fresh. Filet Mignon was on point and full of juicy flavor. Bone-in Ribeye was good, but I had better elsewhere. Edges were a bit too charred for my palette. Cognac peppercorn sauce really enhances the flavor of the steak, extra $5. For our sides, we got grilled asparagus, Caesar salad, au gratin cheddar potatoes and crab fried rice, which were all good. We ended evening with their amazing banana foster butter cake. It was rich and quite satisfying, definitely be prepared to pack on extra calories (2,600). Unfortunately, service was extremely slow, and our food did not come within a reasonable timeframe. Took forever to get our drink order, especially bottle of wine. Main course took even longer, arriving 1hr later after appetizer. I understand that it's Father's Day and busy, but as a well establish chain restaurant that's been in business for years, you should already know that days like this will be busy and need to be planned accordingly by having more staff available. And the crab cake....I eat the crab cake here as a meal because it's that full of meat and delicious. I also tried the Mini Filet Mignon sandwiches today and they were delicious. I came here with my boyfriend on Valentine's Day and restaurant was decked out in the cutest pink and red decorations. The hostess even sprinkled heart-shaped confetti on the dining table before seating us, which I thought was a sweet and festive touch. :) In terms of the meal, the Jumbo Crab Cakes were the star of the show. The crab was incredibly soft and fresh, and it paired so well with the complimentary bread and butter with a squeeze of lemon juice. It was super cool how they prepare the Tableside Steak Tartare right in front of you too. The mashed potatoes were buttery with plush chunks of lobster; super filing as a side and would be good to share amongst at least 3-4 people. The only thing I didn't particularly care for were the oysters. Yes, you guessed it, I had the privilege of spending my birthday at Eddie V's this past weekend (May 22 for anyone who is keeping track). I was greeted with a smile and kind words by the gentleman at the door. This location was great except on our night the kitchen didn't know how to cook steak lol. It came out well done (we wanted medium rare) and then they brought out a raw steak. Didn't want to wait again and let it ruin our dinner so we didn't say anything. Beef tartare was fresh and they prepare it tableside for you. Delicious oysters with a sweet vinaigrette was my favorite! Their lobster bisque was also rich and creamy. I ordered the scallops and they were perfectly seared! I don't think I'll return back to this location after what happened with the steak but I recommend you give them a try. Eddie V's is better than Mastros in my opinion. I was impressed by the extravagant entrance even before entering the venue. A doorman opened the door, which I found very flattering. The ambiance was very exquisite and upscale. We checked in for our reservation and was escorted to our table. I started with the 24k cocktail as it sounded interesting. It was decent. I especially liked the gold sugar rim. I ordered the whiskey glazed salmon and it was quite delicious. The establishment was pretty busy and with that being said, the food came out pretty briskly. Our waiter, Sean, was amazing--attentive, personable, and truly made the experience better. We ordered a few items, and the flavors did not disappoint. The lump crab cake was delicious, the lollipop lamb chops were cooked just right, and the African lobster sticks were my favorite. The sliders, though, were my least favorite of the bunch. As for drinks, I had the Narrative Chardonnay--smooth, dry, and just right. Yolanda enjoyed the spicy margarita, which she said hit the spot. Eddie V's definitely feels like a hot spot--one of those places people come to see and be seen. It gave me a little bit of that Friday's-in-the-80s energy, just elevated with a touch more class, because of the folks who were there. Nick was unpleasant and showed some frustration because she updated him on the party size. 2 people did not show up due to a last minute emergency. They had a fire pit which made the ambiance really nice and cozy. Our server was very attentive and made sure everything was okay. Decided to try the lobster roll promotion that I came across on tik tok. For $38 you get a roll, fries and a glass of wine; not bad! I chose the hot roll and it didn't disappoint. First and foremost, service was fantastic! Our waiter Kaz was friendly and charming, and he made our dining experience all the better. As for the food, every dish we ordered was beyond satisfying. The brussel sprouts were flavorful, the truffle mac was rich and creamy, and my friend's steak was perfectly tender. Lastly, the cocktails were sublime. Expertly crafted, the Hope Diamond cocktail wasn't just aesthetically stunning, it was delicious too, and certainly one of the better cocktails I've had recently. So yesterday we went to celebrate our third year anniversary. I called ahead to make a reservation and let them know what we're celebrating and they said we got you covered. As we entered valet, Oscar opened our doors, and told us congratulations. All personal touches. We entered the big grand door, and we were escorted to our beautifully decorated table. We received a card, wishing us the best. We were greeted by our waiter, Kevin. Not only did he greet us, but he cared to ask for our names and as the rest of the evening went by, he greeted us by using our names which made us feel super comfortable, almost at home vibe with family. It was our first time here and the atmosphere was just a vibe of intimacy and romance, and to be treated like royalty. Kevin offered us drinks and mocktails for my boyfriend and everything was brought to the table within minutes if not less and everything was delicious from our drinks, to the bread, our appetizers, main entree, and dessert, just everything! . I noticed all the staff were very respectful and very detailed while at the other tables, it's giving luxury experience. Kevin made us feel like family and laughed with us and engaged with us in conversation and gave us great recommendations. The food was amazing from the oysters, to the oyster Rockefellers, our delicious fresh crab cake. We split a ribeye and truffle mac & cheese, with some crab fried rice, which is beyond buttery and filling. We had to pace ourselves for dessert, which was a delicious banana foster with butter pecan ice cream that was lit up along with vanilla ice cream with a very rich chocolate cake and fruit. We had Whitney the head chef come to our table and greet us and check on us and it just felt like this is the life. Jess our chef for the evening made made sure everything was perfect and to satisfactory we appreciate all the hard work, she was a gem, I want to say thank you to the staff and the cooks and the waiters at Eddy V's. This place is really nice and very well decorated luxurious interior. The environment was very nice and chill that it was so relaxing. The staff here were amazing and welcoming with a very positive energy. The wait for the food was long but definitely worth it considering it was very busy with other people filling up the tables. The food overall was great and satisfying to the fullest. I definitely recommend doing reservations especially if planning to visit on the weekends. read more

My wife and I were near the area on our anniversary night about to see Beyoncé at SoFi. I'd taken my mom to the Eddie Vs in orange county for Mothers Day last year and it was good, albeit a limited menu. They knew it was our anniversary. The table was set up for us with rose petals, candles, and a note from the staff. The manager stopped by a few times and specifically wished us a great anniversary. Our waiter was a young guy. But he did get job the whole time. We told him we had to leave by a certain time to get to the show and he was on it. I cook at home and Iboike to have things I can't have at home. Tonight it was two things my wife will not eat, and I won't make them for myself. I had a selection. of oysters with a glass of champagne, which was lovely. I had another appetizer as an entree, steak tartare. You don't see this everywhere. It was made at the table and it was great, My wife had a yellowtail sashimi dish that was very nice. It's like sashimi i've had before. But it was new to her. She had sea bass for the meal, which we have at home sometimes. It was cooked well and was delicate. Second time here. It just gets better and better. Seems as if the dress code has lighten up a bit which is good because it seemed a little strict last time. Food: The menu is devine and we'll put together. Everything we ordered was great but they do have some truly amazing items on the menu. We ordered a few things that didn't disappoint us. Listed below. 10oz Center Cut Filet Mignon and 5oz Roasted South African Lobster was amazing and priced right. 22oz Prime Bone-in Ribeye steak is huge and can feed 2 for sure. Chilean Sea Bass - great size and very tender with flavor Crab Stuffed Shrimp - great choice for seafood lovers. Waygu Dumplings - are fire!! 5-6 per serving. Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes - great size the flavor is on point and it's a great appetizer for the table. Ahi Tuna Tartare - this is the one yall. The dish is crazy good. Order two for larger groups. It goes fast. Caesar Salad - standard Caesar salad nothing special but again Caesars are a go to for many. Dessert - Berries and Creme was good but not great. It's simple and fresh. Truffle Mac n Cheese - it's good and serves as a great side dish to most entrees. Asparagus- very large in size with sea salt and you get about 6 per serving. Comes with a half lemon on the side. Order multiples for larger groups. Drinks: Oban Scotch - great choice robust flavors very smooth and refined.serving size was about a double pour. . Old fashion - typical but has a good orange zest to it. 24 Karat - great drink for the ladies. Great flavors with gold sugar rim. Sangria - was a special request it's not on the menu but the bar made a large glass of it. It was strong in taste. Service: This was hands down the best service I have ever experienced. Sean was our waiter and he truly shined as a professional and friendly waiter. He was knowledgeable of the entire menu and provided great pairing options. Also helped us with drinks options. He was absolutely amazing, quick, attentive, and somehow blended right in with our group conversations which we loved and appreciated. He was great. I would recommend Sean to everyone. He made our night incredible. Outside of that the other staff was also on there game. Everyone was professional and kind. Special Thank you to Sean. Atmosphere: It was truly a great time. The restaurant was elegant, beautiful, and full of good conversations. We where able to laugh and enjoy our time around a packed restaurant. Great place to go. Price: The prices are on the higher end on average $60-$125 per serson however, it's completely on point with the quality of food you recieve and the experience you get. The food is top tier and made to perfection. Totally worth it. Don't be cheap!! Location: It's located in El Segundo CA, at 2101 Rosecrans Ave. Parking: Parking is none existent however, there is a parking garage nearby but I would always recommend the valet parking it's only $12 per car and it's so much better and easier to get in and out of the restaurant. read more
