This is the oyster special flier that says all day Wednesdays.
    Rangie T.

So my wife was watching an episode of California Live with Host Jessica Vilchis and she did a segment on Huddy's at the beach and promoted the All Day Wednesday Oyster special for $1.50 each and some martini specials. Today we were going to be in the area so we hit up Huddy's. When we got there the server Warner gave us breakfast menus and it might have been an old one because the oyster special said 4:00-10:00 and not all day so we were a little confused. We asked Warner about it and so he brought us the little flier that showed all day $1.50 each and no limit. My wife and I love oysters so we started out with a dozen to share. They came out pretty quickly and from first bite, it was a hit of the fresh ocean with a nice salt water brine and just tasted so fresh. We devoured the first dozen and we had to order a second dozen. Because it was still breakfast/lunch hour, we could not order any clam chowder or other food items that are served during the dinner menu. So it will give us a reason to come for dinner on a Wednesday night and try items like their braised short ribs or their slow cooked spare ribs along with the clam chowder and definitely a few trays of oysters. When we first got in, Warner was the only server and he looked overwhelmed, but he got caught up and handled the service well. I just wish it was closer, but for $1.50 oyster Wednesdays, it is worth the drive to devour freshly shucked oysters.

I came here after a nice bike ride to hear my friend DJ Hydroe and his wife dj a 45 rare grooves set. The place, food, service and vibe were great. I was vibin so hard, I forgot to take pictures. I will have to make up for that on my next visit. Wanna go and experience their brunch.

Came for happy hour and food was tasty. Got a dozen oysters to share and was only $22. Their Happy Hour is really reasonable and will definitely come back. Our servers were just awesome and very helpful. The color scheme inside is so girly and cute. Love all the pink

A vegan harvest bowl is not something I'd usually rave about yet this was absolutely packed with flavor! Grilled vegetables, forbidden rice, fresh avocado, tomato and leafy greens drizzled with a terrific vinaigrette. Would order again. And the French fries here are perfect-crunchy outside, fluffy inside-like what fries used to be! Love the Miami Vice color scheme. A great addition to Hermosa.

Huddy's only recently opened but I suspect they will soon become one of the most popular places in Hermosa Beach. The restaurant has a soothing decor and design style, reminiscent of laid back beach vibes and fun/energetic Palm Springs. We visited during happy hour and enjoyed the Mr. Nice Guy deal and also a dozen oysters. Both were delicious, especially the burger with its 50/50 beef/duck patty. Yum! The fries were also very good. The bar tender was very attentive and friendly. Great place all around and I look forward to another visit.

Super cute brunch! Started with the espresso martini and lost track of how many bottomless mimosas I had. They have a wide variety of brunch items on the menu but I was very happy and satisfied with the omelet I had. I scarfed the whole plate down and left no crumbs. The vibes in there were spectacular and I love that they have a DJ playing on Sunday's. Looking forward to many more brunches here

Food was amazing! Service and ambiance was great. Love the colors that they used! The bottomless mimosas were $25 versus 1 for $10, definitely worth it.

This place has been transformed over the past few years as it has changed hands at least 3 times. It is now Huddy's. It previously housed L&B Coastal & The Stanton HB. I used Open Table to make a reservation. It wasn't necessary on the Thursday evening we went. We were given the option of sitting in the main open area where the bar is or sitting in the room to the left. We were informed that there was going to be live entertainment in the main area, so we chose to room to the left. After being seated, we were brought out some ice water with the rest of the carafe left on the table. It was still Happy Hour for a few more minutes, so we put in our order from that small menu. We shared: *Edamame + Shishito Peppers ($10 HH) ~ these came out hot. Mostly Edamame with a few Shishito Peppers on top. *Mr. Nice Guy - Huddy's Smashburger, Fries, Martini ($25) ~ the Smashburger comes out with lettuce & tomato on the side. Build your burger how you want. Doesn't include a pickle. The patty is supposedly beef and duck burger. The fries were cold & limp, so we informed our server. He brought out nice hot & crispy fries. This is how they should have been to start with! I will give them credit for leaving the cold fries with us because that ensured we were getting new fries and not our fries reheated!! We didn't eat the cold fries. *Charred Market Veggies - rainbow carrots, cauliflower, & broccolini ($8) ~ lovely presentation which I haven't seen done with veggies before! They're all sitting upright in the cup (the same one the fries are served in. The veggies were on the very al dente, barely cooked state. They were also coated in some sort of oil. Almost made me wonder how healthy these were afterall! *I drank the Martini that came with the Smashburger at HH. I got the Lychee Martini. For me it was pretty strong, but most all drinks are for me! I liked that it was sloshy, like very melted slushy. It came with a piece of canned lychee on a flamingo toothpick. Very cute! The ambiance here is great. However, once the live music started, it competed with the music coming out of the speakers in the room we were in. The decor is mostly green and pink. Gives a tropical feel, like Miami vibes especially with the flamingo lamp at the check-in desk! But we're in Hermosa Beach, so it must be West Coast themed? I did notice the picture of the Beverly Hills Hotel close to our table with the same color scheme. We saw two people just about trip on the edge of the large carpet while we were dining. We told the staff about it. Hope they tack it down so nobody really takes a tumble! I would be interested in trying the Habanero BBQ Pork Ribs. If we were looking for drinks, this place might better suit us. I'm not sure we'll be back, but who knows.

Stopped by Huddy's in HB on 5/2 around 9:40am! It took a while for someone to approach us as there was only ONE person working as the server, bar guy, & host. A big shout out to my guy because he was holding the restaurant down, but I'm sure that was extremely overwhelming. Didn't get the workers name, but he was calm, kind, & funny! On another note, I had chilaquiles, deviled eggs, & an iced coffee. Everything was great! I LOVE the green and pink vibe of this place.

Came here for dinner with a few friends and it was a cute vibe! The basic rita was good but the porn star martini was incredible. Highly recommend! My friend got the frozen pina colada but it wasn't frozen so that was a disappointment. We got the edamame and ahi tuna poke to share. I wasn't the biggest fan of the edamame but the poke was decent. It was like a chip and scoop type of appetizer. The shrimp scampi was very good but my favorite was the smashburger! Wow it was so juicy. Definitely would order again. The bread with butter was also one of my favorites. This place use to be the Coastal restaurant but was bought and revamped. Overall it was a cute place. Beware it gets very loud in there so it was hard to hear everyone!!

Such an amazing new addition to Hermosa!! We came for brunch and Miranda served us drinks at the bar, William was super helpful in guiding us through the menu. Everything from the drinks to the food was delicious. Highly recommend :)

Came here for the Happy Hour "Girl Dinner" and had the BEST time! First off, what a GORGEOUS ambience. Like the Beverly Hills Hotel combined with Hermosa charm. Secondly, all of their food and drink looked amaaaaazing I can't wait to go back again and try more! Third, they had live music (which was a surprise to me) and it totally complimented the vibe. All different kinds of seating and everything was comfortable yet chic. Parking isn't terrible because it's not directly at the pier so that's a plus. The owners really put effort into every single minute detail and you can tell- you can feel the magic of this restaurant.

The bathroom I used was gender neutral, and there is a convenient parking lot right in front. They do not serve food here, so some folks bring their own. So, this afternoon's walk, my friend and I decided to stop in - not quite lunch, not quite dinner ... the best of both! First, the best view, sitting outside with the perfect balance of sun and shade and a view of the ocean. Next, truly one of the best service experiences - Danny! He made a great first impression and just kept raising the bar - his recommendations were spot on. His knowledge of the menu was so helpful and he seemed to truly take joy in making us happy. We shared the Tuna Tataki, Crispy Popcorn Cauliflower, Sweet Potato Fries, and as if that wasn't already over the top and enough ... the Rocket Calabrese Salad with Hanger Steak. I never order steak as I usually don't enjoy it. Danny ensured us this would be the best pairing for the salad and he did not lie! It was cooked to perfection. I might now be a carnivore! We were so full and yet I couldn't leave a leaf, crumb or morsel behind. Oh and because we were talking about tequila - he encouraged us to sample their house infused tequila (infused with pineapple and mango). Oh my! Yeah, I'll be back at a more appropriate drinking hour. This might be my new most favorite spot in the South Bay! You can tell the chefs are dedicated to the craft. They're a 2025 bib gourmand restaurant and are hoping to aim for their first star, so their efforts into the decor, ambiance, and food shows (good luck!). The waitstaff/chefs were also very attentive. Mussels Tart - really delicious. Super unique and beautifully plated. No taste of fishiness or the ocean. Just overall a 5/5 dish that you must try. Beef tongue - I normally enjoy beef tongue thinly sliced at a Korean BBQ restaurant or coarsely chopped up in a street taco. They do it differently here. The beef tongue is one big cube. It's very flavorful and tender. Not as amazing as the mussels tart but still worth a try. Chili crab - this put them on the map. SUPER DELICIOUS. It's not what you'd expect from a creation called 'chili crab'. There's no shell to be seen and the crab meat is actually buried underneath. Scoop from the inside out. Tons of flavor and I wished the portion size was doubled. Lamb pappardelle - if you like lamb then you'll love this. Lots of different spices and flavors. It has a very deep flavor profile that makes you appreciate all the work and thought that went into designing this dish. I'd get this again also! Strawberry tiramisu - they brought this out for the birthday celebration. They prepared it in a gigantic bowl. Scooped out a generous portion and plated it right in front of us. I have a soft spot for tiramisu so I'd recommend this too. Best of luck on the Michelin star! I'd come back. 5/5

I really wanted to love this place. I read all the glowing…read morereviews and convinced myself the negative ones were probably just misunderstandings... but wow, I had it completely backwards. First, the restaurant itself is undeniably cute and cozy, tucked away in a corner of Hermosa Beach. Our first impression was honestly great, and we were excited to try it. Our reservation was at 5:00 PM, but when we arrived, the staff was still inside having what looked like a team huddle or group therapy session well past opening time. At first I thought maybe I got the hours wrong and they actually opened at 5:30. Nope -- 5:00 was correct. I understand pre-shift meetings happen. But maybe do the motivational speech at 4:50 instead of making customers stand outside after your posted opening time? They finally opened the doors around 5:10. Once seated, our server introduced himself by saying he was also one of the chefs, and apparently everyone dressed in white both cooks and serves. I didn't really understand the concept, but honestly, I don't care who brings the food as long as the food is good. These are what we ordered: SQUID -- This tasted like it had been marinated directly in seawater. Painfully salty. I genuinely did not understand the dish at all. Boiled squid with egg salad? Why? The portion was tiny, and we were hungry, so we basically used the mussels tart to dilute the salt enough to finish it. MUSSELS TART -- Actually delicious. No complaints here. BISTRO SALAD -- This was honestly shocking. It was SO sour that it was practically inedible. -- we literally take straight lemon shots every morning but this dish was hard to eat. This wasn't "bright acidity." This was weaponized vinegar. Bitter, aggressively sour, and tongue-numbing after one bite. We had to send it back because it was simply not edible. CABBAGE -- Flavor was good overall, but parts of it were so burnt that I genuinely questioned whether it was intentional or someone forgot it existed in the kitchen. Maybe it's culinary art I'm too uncultured to understand. FISH DIANE -- Delicious. No complaints at all. What ultimately made us decide we won't return wasn't even the inconsistent food -- it was the attitude. They still charged us for the salad we literally could not eat after sending it back. Then the couple next to us asked to keep one menu because they planned to order more later. One of the servers told them not to leave it on the table because she didn't want the menu to get dirty. The menu was a single flimsy printed paper menu. Not leather-bound. Not handmade parchment from the 1700s. Just printer paper. The whole experience felt oddly pretentious for a place serving burnt cabbage and acid salad. Some dishes were genuinely good, but the hospitality felt nonexistent and the food was wildly inconsistent. Cute restaurant, but definitely not somewhere we'd return to.
