Coffee in Hawaii hits different and Eden Coffee was amazing. We were in Kauai for a week long family vacation and I made it my mission to hit a different local coffee spot each morning. Eden Coffee was posted up in Koloa and I had seen it while driving around the area. I had made a note in my mind to make sure to visit one morning. Took my son with me one morning. I ordered a hot Macadamia Nut Latte. It was fire good. Service was quick and friendly. Final Thought: If you want a great start to your day hit up Eden Coffee and you will not regret it.

This is a food truck. There are seats next to the truck with some chickens walking around. It added charm to this laid back ambiance. It felt like I was having a hot drink at my neighbor's backyard. Service was swift and friendly. We ordered a 16-ounce latte coffee, 16-ounce hot chocolate and a cup of mud pie ice cream. The coffee was smooth and delicious. The hot chocolate was equally delicious. I liked the fact that it was not too sweet. Both were served at the perfect temperature. The ice cream was creamy and yummy.

I was a huge fan of their specialty blended ice drinks, particularly the Eden Freeze. I ordered the small ($5.25), which comes standard with two shots of espresso, but I added a third shot to balance the sweetness. Even though it's pre-blended in batches--which I was initially skeptical about--the drink was surprisingly good and incredibly addictive. I would have come here every day if I had discovered it sooner. Eden has two locations, and I visited the food truck. It's conveniently located in the parking lot next to the local supermarket.

We saw the long line at this place and figured it was worth trying. Sadly, it wasn't our favorite amongst all the other coffee places on the island. That's not to say it was bad! It just was normal coffee that didn't blow us away. They do offer decaf espresso which was good for me as not everywhere does.

Really good coffee and bagels. Come check them out. Parking in front. Good service. Good music playing. Few tables and chairs to sit and drink eat purchased items.

The coffee here is solid. We stopped by the last three days of our trip. Go for the "Milky Way".

The gals working this little coffee shack were awesome. Their drinks were excellent. Worth a nice little walk up the street from Poipu.

Super friendly girls worked in the hit but the coffee was just average. The ice cream shop/bakery on the main drag was way better.

I also love their water bottle. If you buy one, you get a free mango lemonade and you can get a $5 refill anytime. I love their green juices. Unfortunately so does everyone else and they were always out of my favorite green juice by the time I got there. The shop in Koloa is a great location, way better than where they were before. There is more room for customers now. You can get freshly made juices there, or they have a ton of pre made drinks and different souvenirs you can buy as well. The space is large enough for multiple customers, but not too large to where it is overwhelming. Everyone is always nice here, very welcoming. They try to get your order out as soon as possible. Even on my plane ride back to the mainland, the lady sitting next to me had one of their juices for the plane (idk how she snuck it on tbh, but I'm jealous!)

=== THE CUTEST. Funnest market we went to. Say hi to G and have lunch there on their front porch!…read more=== We had seen Warehouse 3540 in Lawai on our trips to West Kauai, and after stopping there (also a really great stop but that's another review) walked back to Lawai Market. Super glad we did! Lawai Market has tons of house-made baked goods, a kicking deli section, incredible bread, smoothies, local goods (mostly food kinds), interesting alcohol/spirits, just tons of fun stuff. Counter folks were super friendly, G was especially friendly and helpful, offering recommendations, helping us out, talking story with us, and making us feel at home. Specific thoughts: ++ House-made s'mores bar. Huge portion. Five of us shared one. Topped with toasted marshmallow, then fudge-y brownie, then this incredible crust which seemed like graham cracker shortbread - never had a crust like that. Almost impossible to cut through because it's so wonderfully thick. It literally stays on the knife you use to saw through it. But oh so good. Each bite lasts a long time as you make your way through the layers. + They had more than a dozen other pastries, again, all house-made fresh every day. G says the tres leches cake (beautiful and floating in the cream mixture) and the brownie parfaits are crowd favs. ++ Curried chicken salad. Supreme comfort food but with strong flavors of curry (they don't mess around), raisins, and all sorts of other textures. FILLING - our group of five couldn't eat more than half of the small container and we loved it. ++ Egg salad. Punchier than most egg salads with lots of strong dill. Tended to like the chicken salad more but dug into this when I needed a break from the curry. + Spicy poke. Good and fresh. Personally like the spicy poke from The Musubi Truck better, but this was still solid. Always love the creaminess if the aioli. + Purple power smoothie. You can tell there's something healthy in there - not like your normal straight up sweet smoothie. (I think it's kale.) But this really grew on me. ++ Focaccia. Oh man. Salt crystals on top, great texture to the bread. Our group are bread connoisseurs and they loved this. We went back for a second loaf because we devoured the first one. ++ They have small sizes of everything in their deli which makes getting a selection of a bunch of things for your group easy. We literally sat out there and walked back into the store three or four times to browse and get more items. And walked out with more and more each time. Sitting on their front porch is great too. Yes, the main road goes right by there but lush trees and Kauai greenery abounds on the other side of the road which makes the whole space awesome to hang in. Make this stop - you won't regret it.

My burger was just okay. It was advertised as a smash burger, but the patty didn't really have the crispy edges or texture I'd expect from one. On the other hand, my wife absolutely loved her fried chicken bowl and said it was packed with flavor. One of the highlights of our visit was the hospitality. We mentioned we were celebrating our honeymoon, and the owner (or who I believe was the owner) was incredibly friendly and even let us pick out a pastry to celebrate. That thoughtful gesture really made our visit memorable. Great service, good drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere made for an enjoyable experience overall.

For a place called Living Foods you would expect to see more foods that are actually "living" (i.e…read more plants). Sadly however, they only have one single bowl that is vegan and 2 appetizers (hummus and taro). No vegan entree, and not even a salad that wouldn't require changes to be vegan. Since the bowl has taro too, you can skip the taro appetizer and you're left with a hummus where you get charged for extra crispy bread. While the food quality was good, it was very bland and uninspiring. On top of it all, they add an extra 3% charge for using a credit card. Service was impecable and Renee really went above and beyond but unfortunately there was not much she could work with given the very poorly crafted menu.

My favorite was the Shippy's Bowl with a nice scoop of greek yogurt on top. The acai base here was the best I had on Kauai as I love a more tart acai and most of the other places we tried were on the sweeter side or just a bit bland. The bowls always tasted fresh with ripe fruit! We also tried their mac nut latte and it was solid too but I prefer my coffee a bit stronger. The line can get long here and we did try ordering ahead for pick-up the last day we went but beware that the pick-up times can be an hour later. I noticed that it seemed like they didn't start preparing our order until after I showed a staff member my pick up time/receipt so it might just be a way to skip the line rather than a true pick up an already prepared order system. Either way, it's worth coming to try their acai bowl, just be ready for a wait!

Side note, one morning we tried to place an online order and they were totally out of bagels, so just prepare to be flexible.
