Loved loved the acai bowls here! We came by every morning when we were staying within walking distance and pretty much tried all their acai bowls. My favorite was the Shippy's Bowl with a nice scoop of greek yogurt on top. The acai base here was the best I had on Kauai as I love a more tart acai and most of the other places we tried were on the sweeter side or just a bit bland. The bowls always tasted fresh with ripe fruit! We also tried their mac nut latte and it was solid too but I prefer my coffee a bit stronger. The line can get long here and we did try ordering ahead for pick-up the last day we went but beware that the pick-up times can be an hour later. I noticed that it seemed like they didn't start preparing our order until after I showed a staff member my pick up time/receipt so it might just be a way to skip the line rather than a true pick up an already prepared order system. Do yourself a favor and plan ahead to order online. Little Fish Coffee is a tiny shack with long lines at peak times! I enjoyed my iced mac nut latte, but they have a variety of other creative drinks you may want to try too. I loved my bagel sandwich (the pesto schmear is heavenly), and my sister loved the P.K. acai bowl she tried. I feel like you can't really go wrong here with whatever you want to order. Side note, one morning we tried to place an online order and they were totally out of bagels, so just prepare to be flexible. Also, the prices here are lower than my other nearby favorite, Java Kai, so it's well worth a visit in you're staying on or visiting the south short of Kauai. read more

Little Fish Coffee in Poipu is busy for a reason! We loved everything we ordered and honestly could've eaten here every day. We got the lox bagel, the açaí bowl with peanut butter, and two lattes. Everything was so fresh, incredibly delicious, and expertly crafted. The coffee was so much better than I was expecting. I will dream of that latte for years to come! It was pretty busy when my wife and I came here at 10:30am on a Wednesday. The cashier corrected us when we ordered a caramel macchiato and said it was just what Starbucks calls it and it's just a caramel latte. I stopped by for a late morning coffee and avoided the mid morning lines. Despite no line I had to wait a few minutes before someone came over to take my order. Service wasn't particularly friendly either. I tried out the midnight marauder and it was super strong (it does have 4 shots of espresso after all). Got in line at 7:01 and waited about 30 minutes in line to order. We waited about another 10 minutes for our food. We enjoyed the breakfast bagel and lox bagel. The acaci bowl was way to watery. We should have listened to the other reviews! I enjoyed the Mac nut latte. The banana bread wasn't our favorite. It was a bit too sweet and was either previously refrigerated or frozen. The coffee was amazing, they had a special vanilla cold foam that we got on the honey nutmeg latte and it was just delicious. The jitterbug was also a perfect frozen drink for a hot morning. Little Fish is a must when you're on the South Shore. Great food, good vibes and just and overall fantastic way to start your island morning! There was a bit of a line when we arrived, but it moved pretty fast. I later learned you can place an order online so it's ready when you get there - good tip for next time! There's covered high-top seating plus plenty of picnic tables in the grassy front yard. Just beware of the roosters... they will help themselves to your food if you're not careful! For drinks, we were both feeling adventurous and ordered the iced Midnight Marauders which was delicious, but it's a lot! We'd probably share next time or try something new. We stayed at a nearby hotel and walked over to Little Fish several times during our stay. If you don't arrive right at opening, a line forms quickly and you'll end up having to wait a bit. Their acai bowls are really good and my husband liked their breakfast sandwiches. I tried their Pakala (chocolate chips, peanut butter, fruit) and Shippy (pineapple, greek yogurt, condensed milk) acai bowls and loved both. A small size was enough for one person. While I love to get an iced coffee with my breakfast, I was not impressed with the iced latte I got the first time we were there so I actually opted out of coffee in our following visits. Line moves slow but your food/drinks come out almost instantly after ordering. I wouldn't say it's 5 star worthy, because in my opinion 5 stars is literally the best of the best, but it's pretty darn good. This cute little place in Kauai was perfect for a morning breakfast. My husband and I each got the turkey bagel, a latte, and split a small açaí bowl. The iced caramel lattes had amazing flavor and would totally come back just for that. The turkey bagel was also really good because of the pesto cream cheese spread. The acai bowl was ok.. just your standard açaí with fruit but nothing super amazing about it. Maybe they'd consider adding on honey, more granola, or larger fruit pieces? We came here for breakfast our first day! Great service, despite the line it was speedily made and absolutely delicious. We got the breakfast bagel which is delicious alongside the Monkey Nut smoothie (good but heavily tasted of almond butter!), and the Tree hugger smoothie- which I would return here just to have again! What I ordered: + Shippy's Bowl [6/5] (would recommend) + Ube Coffee [3/5] For the Shippy's Bowl: I thought this was the most delicious bowl! Not too sugary or heavy with a refreshing balance of fruit and yogurt! Would definitely order again if I had the chance. For the Ube Coffee: Both my friend and I agreed that this was mostly just a regular coffee. We couldn't taste the ube flavor.
