Admittedly, I do not frequent the bowling alleys of the Chicago Suburbs, but I had the opportunity to join some friends for one of their league nights, and I experienced Eden Lanes. Well, it's an old school bowling alley. I bowled as a kid, and if I hadn't driven here myself, I could have assumed I was back in the bowling alley of my youth. Wood paneling. A glassed off bar area - that still appears to have the smoke stains of a time when indoor smoking was allowed, some arcade style games. The lanes had modern electronic/automated scoring, and everything seemed to work well. It didn't feel "clean", but it's a bowling alley. The only thing that bumped this to a 4 star was the food. Admittedly upon arrival, I assumed I wouldn't be eating there. But the regulars raved about their tacos. $3.50 each with four different fillings, I gave some a try. And they were very good. Don't waste your time or money! Attended a family birthday party and were treated terribly. Another party arrived an hour late so we were bumped from our reserved lanes and instead placed ​in the league area. The person handling our party, possibly the owner, had his feet up on a barstool most of the time we were there and acted like we were inconveniencing hi​m anytime we asked for things like plates or forks even though no outside food/drink was allowed and we had to purchase everything from them. This included individual drinks we had to walk to the bar to order ourselves since they told us pitchers were not available for our party, but the party before us had them. First time visiting this establishment. I was there supporting a 50th year High School, which is a blessing. The older white lady at the Bar, was so nasty with the African american patrons. Several people asked for certain drinks, obviously this is their first time at this establishment, and she answered with such a hateful tone (we don't have this, we don't have that, you can come and look for yourself, we only serve this). While we were at the bar drinking what they did have, a few other white people approach the bar, and she made sure we heard her..( hey guys these apple shots I'm giving you all is on me). Okay, she don't care for African american people, but one thing for sure that is the same, our Money is GREEN. This is the 2023, not 1900s. I will not recommend this establishment to any organizations, and I will never patronized. I will continue to go to other friendlier bowling allies. read more

We were at Eden Lanes for a fundraiser - and I'm not going to lie - these people have it together. The Bar - Amazing!!!! Our lovely bartender did not skimp on the alcohol. (Thank God for autocorrect). The Food - I'm a foodie. The wings were excellent and the pizza was really good. My only suggestion would be that they add ranch and blu cheese for dipping. Honestly I would probably never attend this place if it wasn't for our monthly bowling league here. Once a month we bowl and we always have a great time (I think it's because of the people, but liquor always helps)! But this place has some awesome food! Their pizza is delicious! Go for the sausage, green pepper, mushroom, and onions and you will be in heaven! The chicken wings are crispy and crunchy! Yummmm! As for bowling? The lanes are decent, sometimes a bit oily, sometimes not enough. The scoring system messes up here and there, but we've became experts at editing our scores (shows how often it's messed up). The drinks are average about $5/mixed drink? I think they can lower it a bit, but it seems they get most of their revenue from the bar (I can be wrong). Overall, decent place. read more

I didn't get a chance to bowl, just hung out in the bar. IIf you play the juke box, better hit play next or you won't hear your songs...like at all. Wasted 5 bucks on songs that never played. The young guy bartender (can't remember his name) is really cool, very helpful when it comes to "I'm not sure what I want to drink" he is a VERY good mix master and fun to talk to and have a shot with. They have a pretty good amount of room if you want to dance or play cornhole. I think they have darts and maybe pool, but not sure on that. The food there is DELICIOUS though. Kick ass spot to slam pitchers and play a few games. I don't get all the bad reviews because this place is a dream come true. Really enjoyed myself and same with my friends. I am here for a birthday party so the score isn't important for us. ...but if you care about proper score keeping, this is not the place to go! No joke, maybe 40%of the scoring is correct. Everyone got spares.We also had to spend a lot of time editing so the next person could go cause it was stuck on the previous person. Who ever said this place was a diamond in the rough, was clearly mistaken; just plain rough would've been a better statement. I was a patron for years, not because this place is any good, but because the drinks are cheap, it's open until 4am, and I could stumble home. The food is decent for being a bar, except my friend got sick from some seafood/shrimp thing, but it was almost expected. I've had the pizza numerous times and it's not bad or unsafe. The bartenders are nice, but the normal crowd are overly loud, excessively scuzzy and either like to pretend they are drunker than they are or are just plain over-served. You can bowl during the day, but be prepared to keep your own score manually (which I actually like). There's a separate area for the bar, since that part is open later. Several dart boards and a big screen are in this bar area. The bathrooms are absolutely gross and half the ladies toilets seem to always be broken. The general atmosphere is NOT aesthetically pleasant and I'm thankful to be living near better bars. Seriously though, "Club E" earned their one star for being open until 4am. read more

Yesterday my friend and I was looking to bowl and went to Eden lanes which is in Westchester. We had our two eleven year old boys with us. We walked in and was rudely greeted by a man that was angry maybe to see 4 BLACK faces in his establishment or maybe he felt threatened by 2 women. He said bowling only on Friday and Saturday with disgust!!!! It's on that big sign out there!! My friend repeated what he said and he got angry and motioned as if he was going to get out of his chair..... I said have a good evening and we ran out of there. Whatever the reason I know that I am not welcomed in this establishment and I'm worried for any person of color that may happen to walk in. To Eden L. You were not there.... Now while we live in the area and bowl here from time to time and then in a once a month league, I'm really here to rave about the tacos. A friend told me that they made the best tacos she's ever had without question. I couldn't let an opportunity to find such a prize get away so the next time I was there, I ordered a few and OMG!!! She was so so right. The tacos, while nothing fancy were absolutely spectacular! I honestly would go back just for the tacos. I had a whole lot of fun bowling here, but I'm gonna be honest--it's not anything special. It's your typical bowling alley with lanes, bowling balls, rental shoes, and food you can purchase. I did like that the rental shoes I received seemed fairly new, but other than that, you can get the same bowling experience at pretty much any bowling alley. It was pretty empty when I went with my friend, so one of the staff members was interacting with us and that was pretty fun! All that being said though, I'd definitely return if I were in the area and wanted to find something to do. read more

They're open super late so it's a nice place for a last stop or the night. I invited all my friends to come here(maybe I'm wrong for not making a good review) but tonight i was sooooo beyond disappointed by the way I was treated. I was told by Matt the bartender that I was "20th" in like because he had a lot of ppl ahead which i was okay with because I too am in the industry so I understand....shortly after he tended to a gentleman that the other bartender had already tended to twice.. another gentleman next to who was black and as still waiting... and shortly afterward a white young lady come up to the bar... Matt then came up to the white women who was there after me... then back to the other man who had already been serve twice (also white) I got upset and the white women that he serve ahead of me said "I know you were here first" which only reassured my anger.. everyone around us got serve... Eventually the other bartender served mE and I gave her a great tip since I'm also a bartender.... the black gentleman next to me was still not served... I felt bad that HE NEVER GOT A DRINK that I was like you know what here take mine... I'm leaving... I have never in my life felt so idk.."brown" before... Decent bowling spot with cheap pitches and food that matches the ambiance. They didn't have one of my friends size of shoe so he had to wear larger ones. Luckily mine fit. Some of the worst service I've ever had! The bowling area was closed and rather than the bartender talking politely to me, she decided to talk down to me. This place is the epitome of dive bar, and I keep finding myself in this place. They serve till 4 am, which is always awesome when all the other places nearby do a last call at 1230. The tacos are pretty awesome, and I mean that as a Mexican food snob. Not the greatest tacos ever, until around 1215, then they are worth their weight in gold, and the pizza is pretty good as well. I figured since this is one of very few late bars in my area that I frequent quite often after everything else closes I thought I was obligated to write a report. It is like all 4am bars. It's is where the very drunk show up to get their one last drink, the more mature sit to enjoy the comical adventures of the drunken, and well where most of us working people that work shift work until 11pm end up after a one of our other subjected establishments close. It is like any other late bar, very diverse in it's clientele. The bathrooms I will agree are not the prettiest, but they work, and hey your there cause it's open until 4am not for their bathrooms. I will admit service usually on weekends late night after 3am is very slow, and it will be packed. Parking is never a problem since they have a huge parking lot. Weekends are great for entertainment, and in entertainment I mean the very drunk trying to dance on the very little dance floor they have, or if you get lucky the dance competitions between other patrons. I also find it quite humorous when a group of men end up shelling out most of their money in a battle against each other's testosterone on the punching bag game! All the employees are very friendly, and make sure you get to know "Animal", he's a super sweet guy and will keep and eye on you! Drink prices to me are average, and they dont have everything you may want, but once again your most likely there after 3am, and wont know what your drinking anyways. The pizza is awesome and very tasty thin crust, and one slice is like 1/4 of a pizza, and their kitchen is open late. They do have a jukebox witha download option, and a DJ who is really good on fridays (I think fridays). All in all out of the 4am bars around which are few and far between it's not bad! read more
