We spent Memorial Day weekend at this beautiful resort and we had such an amazing time. We had a good experiences when we needed to upgrade our room, the staff was accommodating, making it so easy for us. We originally had king size room booked, but last minute one of my nieces ended up joining us so we had to upgrade to a suite. Jasmine from guest relations took care of us and made sure that our room was booked and confirmed. Upon arrival, the front entrance is where the valet assisted us, they took our car, and they made sure that our bags were all taken care of and brought up to our suite. When inside at the main desk to check in we were all greeted and with a delicious white sangria. The property at this resort is stunning! The three pools were absolutely stunning for this weekend getaway alongside the beautiful beach. Our favorite spot to hang out was on the guest lawn where guests were able to get lawn chairs and towels and sunbath for the afternoon, lots of trees surrounded the area, making it breezy and shady. Near the lawn there's a gelato station serving up delicious cold treats and surprisingly the price for these cold treats are very reasonable. There's a smaller pool in walking distance along with a poolside bar, which was very convenient for us. To make the weekend even more special, we were lucky enough to be staying here while the air and sea show was going on. The sound of fighter jets and helicopters filled the air while helicopters and planes did tricks and spins. First time visiting this property and was here for a work conference so I didn't per se choose this hotel. Arrived on a Monday afternoon around 11 AM which the room was not ready to be expected. The front office team took all of my information, including the credit card for incidentals. Give me some information about the property and also provide provided me directions to the bell stand to check my bags. The bell team was very prompt at giving me a tag for my two bags and the nice thing is instead of giving you a paper ticket that is easily lost. They requested your phone number. Sent you a text with the tag number and this was what you used upon returning to retrieve your bags. About an hour later, I received a text that my room was ready however I was already headed off property to have lunch with a few colleagues. Upon returning to the property around 3 PM was able to pick up the wristband that granted access to the elevator as well as the room. Quick stop at the bell stand to pick up my luggage and I was off to the room. The wristband worked in the elevator without issue and note that you do need your key for the floor access and your key is only able to access your specific floor. I could definitely see that would be a little bit inconvenient if you were visiting with other people that happened to be on other floors. The room key did not however, open the door to the room. There was a housekeeping member on the floor who granted the access to the room, unfortunately, this is a huge red flag for security as housekeeping, granting individuals access to rooms without validating ID or just access in general. I did swing by the front desk to let them know about the wristband not working for the room and the solution was to give me the old school plastic hotel key now mind you I got two of the wristbands upon check-in and they're also could be a fee if you lose one of the wristbands so for something that has such a high fee, I'm shocked that they did not reinstate the wristband access versus giving me a physical key. The room itself was quite amazing. Specifically, the view I was on the 20th floor and it was nothing but ocean view. The room itself is very spacious with a bathroom that has a separate toilet closet and a shower tub area with a jetted tub and a waterfall showerhead. She walked past the bedroom. There's a high table almost almost shoulder height, for myself, cause I'm so dang short with barstools that doubles as the headboard for the king-size bed. There is a sofa at the end of the bed as well as the table and then a side chair with a lamp, and of course the TV is angled at the corner of the room, which gives great access for viewing. The balcony was the biggest balcony. I have seen at a hotel in quite some time. The two chairs and tables really didn't do justice as you could've easily fit a full-size sectional out there. My main challenge with the property, which is one of the reasons why I didn't give a higher Star rating was the Internet access. I ended up having issues the second day and I despite after calling the Wi-Fi support they were unable to resolve. I was supposed to receive a call back however I never did. I did call them three times each time without getting a call back and thankfully I was able to be very savvy and reuse some of the steps they provided and finally got the computer to connect. The property grounds are very beautiful. Well kept I didn't see any major issues. There were several pools that unfortunately I did not get to partake and of course you just said work conference. The meeting space was also pretty decent. The main room we were in was the Mona Lisa. As usual the temperature in the world was nice and chilies so thank goodness I had on pants and a sweater. The medium room was set up with water stations in the back as well as a coffee station for the main general sessions. Breakouts were performed on the lower level in the key Biscayne rooms that were split with the air wall to create two separate spaces. The restrooms on the lower level for the ladies at least we're not ample as there's only two stalls and considering there was at least 70 people in attendance, half of those being women it made for a long wait with a short break. Ended up dining at Nobu for one night, which was amazing. I cannot rave enough about the Lychee martinis. And the food was really good too. Banquet wise the lunch was fine. Nothing spectacular for me. Personally wasn't necessarily my favorite just because of the utilization of cilantro, which is not my favorite. Also the lunch was outside and if you know Florida it can get kinda hot and steamy in the middle of the afternoon. The second day lunch was much better than the first and the final night plated dinner with steak and lobster was delicious. Our experience at that Pool was unmatched to anything I've experienced. Even above 5 star service. Our visit to the pool was during a bachelorette weekend celebration at Eden Roc Hotel. Ray was our first encounter at the pool. He talked with us in a very welcoming manner and found us a comfortable spot at the Nobu pool. He made sure we were taken care of. Pablo, the manager accommodated our needs and helped us get top notch service. Our server Chris L. greeted us with such warmth and throughout our day made us feel so catered to. Attention to every detail, from making sure we had extra towels during a quick rain shower; to accommodation my gluten free needs with a round of welcome drinks. The Eden Roc property was perfect for a short getaway. It's also excellent for bringing corporate, Meeting or wedding & or social groups. I also noted that there were families with younger aged children, as well. The beach is lovely & can be accessed easily from the property. There are beach lounges provided along w/ umbrellas for shade. The room we had was very well played out. I loved that I could stay in bed & still SEE views of the beach! The rooms were also clean & well appointed. There are two restaurants on the property,NOBU, and for outdoor style eating there is Ocean Social. There are also various pools & a pool bar as well as the large central bar area in the hotel lobby. Easily walkable areas and many spaces where to hold a meeting or a catered dining event. Overall, we had a mixed experience. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, but there were several service and maintenance issues that took away from what should have been a relaxing stay. Customer service fell below expectations from the start. We were promised complimentary champagne for my husband's birthday, but it was never delivered. We also had to pay an additional $35 fee for a refrigerator, which was disappointing. On the Fourth of July, the main pool was not well maintained. There appeared to be vomit or green slime collected around the filter areas, and there was a Band-Aid and hair next to my lounge chair that remained there throughout the day. The pool water was extremely warm--more like a Jacuzzi than a refreshing pool. There was also no music or atmosphere. The only music came from a guest's speaker, and security asked them to turn it off, leaving the pool completely quiet. For a holiday weekend, especially the Fourth of July, the atmosphere felt surprisingly dull. One of my biggest frustrations was the food and beverage pricing. A mandatory 22% resort service charge was not disclosed at the time of purchase, so I unknowingly added an additional 20% tip. Greater transparency would have been appreciated. The advertised Fourth of July BBQ was also underwhelming. As a hotel guest, I was surprised to pay $27 for what was essentially a hot dog and a drink. There was a DJ, but the music was so low that it couldn't even be heard from the upper pool area. There were several smaller inconveniences throughout our stay. The oversized orange coffee mug provided in the room doesn't fit securely in the coffee maker and repeatedly fell off while brewing. Complimentary bottled water was not provided, and when I called to ask about the bottled water next to the coffee maker--which seemed necessary for making coffee--I was told it would cost $7 per bottle. The signature scent in the lobby was pleasant at first, but it became overwhelmingly strong in the hallways. The fragrance was so intense that it was nauseating at times. Departure day was also frustrating. I called for bell service to help with our luggage and was assured someone would come. After waiting 30 minutes, no one ever arrived, so we ended up taking everything down ourselves. We then had to stand in a long line to check out because the TV checkout option was unavailable. There were also a few maintenance concerns. We heard a strange, loud buzzing noise during the night, and the bathroom mirror became extremely hot. I accidentally touched it while applying my makeup and burned myself. That said, there were definitely positives. The hotel is gorgeous, the beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and most of the staff we encountered were friendly. The only negative interaction I had was with one of the pool waitresses, who came across as rude, although she may simply have been overwhelmed that day. One tip for future guests: if you park in the nearby public parking garage instead of using valet, be sure to use the parking app about an hour before your session expires. You can extend your existing session for around $10 rather than paying for another full 24-hour period (about $20). On checkout day, you can extend only for the number of hours you actually need. However, if your session expires--even by one minute--you'll have to purchase a brand-new parking session. One final piece of advice: be very cautious with non-refundable reservations. I booked through Priceline using an Express Deal, only to find the exact same hotel on another website the very next day for about $400 less. I spent a significant amount of time trying to have Priceline honor the lower price or make an exception, but it ultimately went nowhere. Hotel prices fluctuated dramatically in the days leading up to our stay. In the future, I'll likely avoid non-refundable reservations and wait a little longer before booking. While I wouldn't completely rule out staying here again, I would definitely compare other hotels before making another reservation. read more

Horrible Guest Relations. I have called 10 times (!!!) to correct a major billing error. 1 of the 10 times, I was transferred and call was dropped. Other 9 times? NO ANSWER AT ALL!! I was billed via Amex for a room night ($295) that I should not have been billed for. Amex card was provided for "incidentals" of which there were none. Room stay (3 nights) was paid by business colleague. Impossible to get through to anyone at this hotel. Room was very nice, but other than that service is awful. The amenities were great. I didn't have to leave for much because everything we wanted was right there. Drinks in the hotel lobby bar with a great view of the resort, the spa, just so much to enjoy. We've stayed here before and specifically loved the newer tower rooms, so this experience felt completely different from what we expected from this property. Our original room had a damp/moldy smell and felt very humid. After requesting a room change, we were moved to an older room that appeared heavily fragranced to mask odors, with a worn balcony and overall dated feel that did not reflect the luxury resort experience we come here for. While staff did attempt to accommodate us, the replacement room still felt outdated and poorly maintained, especially compared to prior stays. For the reputation of this hotel, the room quality and overall experience were extremely underwhelming. Unfortunately this stay did not feel relaxing, elevated at all. read more

Thought this hotel was fantastic. We had a balcony that looked out over pool and water. It was a good size and bige enough where friends came by to hang out on couch and balcony. Staff was awesome especially by the pools. We were there midweek so may get crowded on weekend. Couple things about pool is the deck gets super hot so bring shoes/sandals; also there are three pools and I thought one was adults only but there were kids in all of them but again we were there during a slow time midweek; last thing is that beach chairs are included but umbrella was $30 which was surprising. A time was had Just needing a girls get a way for the weekend and booked here to relax. Room was fabulous with ocean views. Valet was a breeze and in and out access available. Beach provides you with 2 chairs and towels but umbrella purchase is at a cost. Drinks and food service is provided on the beach and pool. Music is played to keep the vibes going and there's ice cream available which is perfect t for these hot days. The only issue we ran into was our AC wasn't working but made a quick k call to the front desk and a tech came out to fix it, only took two times though. The hotel is in a great location. The restaurants within the hotel are phenomenal. We do not leave the hotel once after checking in. The beach was beautiful and the water warmer with time. There are 4 different pools. This season the Nobu pool upstairs is my favorite because it is heated. This pool overlooks the ocean. They have ice cream station and champagne spots set up along the pool. The rooms however could use some updating. I had a leaky faucet. They sent someone to fix it but he couldn't. It dripped for an entire 2 nights which was annoying. The balconies are the best part. I would return again but request a non leaky faucet in my room. read more

I purchased a day pass to test the experience before committing to a full booking, and I'm grateful I did -- it saved me from a much bigger disappointment. The area is severely overcrowded. I waited 15-20 minutes in line just to secure a chair at the beach, followed by nearly 50 minutes for food. Drinks? Those came even later -- if at all. For a venue at this price point, that level of service is simply unacceptable. What makes it worse is that the property itself is beautiful. The views are stunning, the interior is gorgeous, and the potential is clearly there. But none of that matters when the guest experience falls this short. One visit was enough to completely change my perception of the entire establishment, and that's a shame. Eden Roc is a hidden gem. It's priced extremely well for the amenities that it offers. There are three pools, bikes to rent and full services bars by each pool area. They have rooms that provide an Ocean View as well, which is extremely nice. Service and personnel are five stars. Everyone is super helpful. A tip is to get a King Bed Ocean view if possible. The bed is generally facing the window which could provide a nice wake up view. The Queens face the television set up so you don't have a direct outside view, but it depends on who you're with! read more

Apparently their standard of service for housekeeping is by 5 pm, absolutely egregious after multiple requests for it to be completed their answer is: it will be done by 5. Rooms are dated but that's to be expected of a hotel this age (and a warning, the tvs are not internet enabled so if you want any streaming services you'll need to bring your own device), and other than the housekeeping issues service was good. Additionally, walking surfaces are not even or marked for changes in elevation/tripping hazards, and at least one of the handicapped access automatic doors (leading directly to the pool) was non operational and extremely difficult to open. I would not recommend staying here to anyone coming to the area (the main pool was also closed for construction... so fewer options to hang out at while my room was not being cleaned). read more

I loved being able to sit outside in the lush, shaded garden area--perfect when I wanted a break from the sun. The lobby is a whole experience on its own. It smells like citrus and fresh greenery--some dreamy blend of bergamot and lemon--and the music hits that perfect sweet spot between relaxing and vibey. It feels like Miami, through and through. It's also insane that as expensive as rooms are that you have to pay for WiFi - and it's really crappy at that (couldn't get good Zoom connections on the $20/day option). Dining options are good, and prices, while a little high, are what you'd expect for a resort of this caliber. The grounds are immaculate and the staff is generally very friendly. The central bar is quite wonderful. I dislike that room cleanings and the canard that "they care about the environment." No you don't, you're just trying to save $$. My room wasn't cleaned until almost 6pm, which I find unacceptable. Is it worth the high prices? It depends on you. If you've never stayed here, you owe it to yourself and partner to stay at this historic, iconic hotel at least once. read more

I booked my stay at Eden Roc two months in advance to celebrate my 60th birthday. While the property is beautiful, the service was deeply disappointing and far below what one expects from a luxury hotel at this price point. I am very familiar with high-end hospitality, having stayed at properties such as the Mandarin Oriental, Ritz-Carlton, Delano, and Loews. Unfortunately, Eden Roc was the worst luxury hotel experience I have had. There were a few bright spots--the bellman, Noe, was exceptional and truly accommodating, and the front desk receptionist was kind and professional. However, these positives were overshadowed by consistent service failures throughout my stay. Housekeeping was poor, nighttime staff was unprofessional, and the spa experience was unacceptable for what I paid. I had a 10:00 a.m. spa appointment and was instructed to arrive early, only to find the spa closed. It did not open until about 20 minutes later, and I was escorted through the back, which set a very negative tone from the start. Dinner at Nobu offered excellent food, but the service was shockingly slow. My dinner lasted three hours and forty minutes. The waitress took over 20 minutes to take my order, got my appetizer wrong, and service remained inefficient throughout the meal. Back in my room, I requested champagne glasses. After six phone calls, a personal trip downstairs, and one hour and fifteen minutes later, they finally arrived. I also requested additional bubble bath for another bath, which never came. For a hotel that markets itself as luxury, this level of service is unacceptable. I reached out to management to express my concerns and never received a response. This was meant to be a milestone celebration, and instead it was overshadowed by poor service. I would not return. read more

Likely running a minbar fraud. I consumed two items and wanted to pay at checkout. They wouldn't let me and said a third-party would check the room and bill me. They charged me for 4 items. I suspect they're overcharging people as a practice assuming they won't notice (I almost didn't notice and thought it was just price gouging people charging $25 for gummy bears but when I looked closer I saw they added two extra items). I've also asked if the third-party gets compensated based on charges but they haven't answered. read more

For the rates we were paying, I'd expect a certain level of service. Booked 4 nights, the second two through a conference and later added two nights direct with the hotel. We were told at check in that they could keep us in the same room, which is great, and we would just need to come back the first morning to check in again. My partner and I were both told the second day we had only booked for 3 nights and did not have a reservation for the 2nd night in the middle. I was gone for the day and housekeeping came 5 times to say that my partner needed to vacate the room. After about 60 minutes of waiting and hassle it got worked out. Was told that we had done the reservation wrong but they would fix it (despite having the email confirmations which we showed them). I brought it up later with the manager who said sorry that happened but that's just what happens sometimes. To me for paying $750 per night that's egregious. Anyway, otherwise the stay was mostly fine. (Randomly our keys stopped working. And one other request had to be made 4 times before it happened.) the room was nice if you can overlook the administrative hassle and what seems like a lack of concern about it. I got the impression that such things are kind of business as usual. So - keep it in mind, nice place but customer service seems to take people for granted. read more

Our experience did not start out well upon checking in at the front desk. Our agent, Amir, was very confused with the hotel policies listed on the website and showed it all over his face. He questioned me, asking me to pull up the hotel website. Which I did, then he walked away. We didn't receive our welcome drink and we were met with total rudeness. The beach server, Miguel, is amazing. 10/10 server. Then our next day, the server (last name Ramirez) had our order wrong twice, AND gave us such a hard time, questioning me, when he read back the correct order and I agreed upon him charging us. I had ordered a "frozen margarita" pitcher and he brought us a "frozé" pitcher. He read back the correct order then only remembered the first part, not even the whole word of what I said--"froze--(n margarita). He re-ordered our margarita but it was not frozen then condescendingly approached us asking if it was ok. We are not picky so we obliged. There are many great aspects of this hotel, but I will not return. I'm very sorry for myself that I spent so much trying to enjoy a weekend here. In addition, I was super happy it had 3 pools upon booking, however, 2 of the major pools were booked 2/3 days of our stay for private company parties. The rainfall shower is clogged upon initial use. We do not feel we can approach staff with this issue as the front desk agent, Amir, was so upsettingly rude to us upon arrival. The vibe does not match the promise of Eden Roc and my husband and I are so disheartened. Great view though, if you upgrade a bunch. For the money, pick somewhere else, for the sake of your experience. I'm so sorry to those who have nothing to do with our experience. Ugh!! So expensive for such a disappointing experience. I work at a job that is very stressful, where the saving of lives is involved, and I SO needed a good getaway. I would never treat people in such a way. Lovely lobby and very nice staff but rooms have dinghy floor tiles and banging plumbing that rattles loudly. Had to make several calls about the banging pipes in bathroom and guest services does not answer the phone AT ALL half the time. Even the ice bucket, made of wood leaks. Lost an entire morning of our short stay with maintenance issues and having to move to another room. These things happen. But, overall except for the lobby and the public areas the place looks and operates like an inexpensive motel that's been only partially updated. read more

Horrible nightmare experience. In 5 days we only saw room service one day. I even stopped at the front desk to ask for our room to be cleaned and fresh towels. Instead, the night manager blamed me and accused me of having the Privacy sign up which we never did! So we used dirty, damp towels to dry off. I wouldn't send my dog to this hotel. The indifference to our plight of paying over $500/night to have overflowing trashcans and finding a towel out of the wet pile to dry off should be a warning to all to avoid this hotel at all costs. I never got an apology. I was met with excuses and all of them somehow being my fault. I just wanted what was advertised and paid for. read more

They lost our luggage, we did not get it back for 72 hours (despite them finding it an hour after we left (so they intentionally did not use overnight shipping even though we expressed how urgent it was to get the bags ASAP as work computer was in it), additionally chanel bag inside was damaged. we arrived in DC in flip flops and not 32 deg appropriate clothing. Yet, no compensation other than just the room Would have expected free nights in the future as this vacation made us more stressed than before we went. very very disappointed. Insurance guy acted like it was my fault the luggage was lost even though the valets took the bags from our room. Unless they provide us with some real compensation I will never recommend this place to anyone again . I even had my bachelorette party weekend there a few years ago- that's how much i used to like the place. read more

ONE STAR. While the Eden Roc is a gorgeous hotel and the on-premises staff is friendly, they like to put unidentified and fraudulent charges on your credit card and then give you the run around when you try to have them explained or removed. I recently booked a stay at this hotel for my mother (flying in from costa rica) and my aunt for mother's day. My aunt put her credit card down for the incidentals ONLY, as I had booked and planned to pay for their stay on my credit card. They ended up charging the stay to my aunt (thus ruining the gift experience). I asked if I could have chocolate covered strawberries in their room for their arrival, the front desk then transferred me to room service, when I asked them they said they'd email me a link to order them, they never did. No in-room surprise, that too was ruined. And finally, to add insult to injury, they added a $230 random charge to my aunt's credit card as she was checking out. She noticed it and asked what it was for, and they made up some story, gave her a run around and said if she wanted it removed she'd need to contact their account department via email on the next available business day, instead of just removing it then and there. THEN they added another $15 miscellaneous charge a day after she left the hotel. They did remove the $230 charge but she is STILL fighting to get her $15 back and they keep giving her a run around endlessly, This has been going on for 3 weeks! Unacceptable. This hotel should be ashamed. DO NOT BOOK HERE, especially if you're trying to gift someone you love a good experience. They are crooks. read more

I do write reviews very rare, would like to share my experience with this hotel. In the beginning it seemed very cozy and staff was also friendly. First of all the beach is extremely dirty and impossible to swim, we tried to get into the pool but out of sudden management told us that there is a separation of Nobu and Eden Rock for the pools after we spent all day the day before in the pool they did not let us in next day. I asked for the manager, we agreed on staying and few minutes later the other manager showed up and did a "favor" saying, "Because its your last day, so you can stay in this pool!" On top of it, therel were only 2 people, all the chairs were empty and no one was in the pool. I am the first time in Miami and I spent my time being in a pool once only due to dirty beach. I am wondered how the management runs the hotel. Will never recommend this place and will never come back. Thanks for the "great" experience you guys provided me. I travelled the whole world, have never had a such a dissapointment I experienced in this place! read more

My boyfriend and I stayed here at the beginning of this month and we couldn't have chosen a better place. Upon arrival our car doors were opened for us by hotel staff and we were warmly greeted by employees at the front doors. Jullian helped us at the front desk and told us everything we needed to know about the hotel. She asked us questions about ourselves and told us the best places to go in Miami. Her kind smile and inviting personality was genuinely one of the highlights of this trip. We received a beautiful oceanfront room with a spacious balcony. The menu for the pool and the beach had plenty of options to choose from and was reasonably priced. Drinks were delicious and served super cold right to your beach chair. Room service came fast and hot, I would highly recommend. Towards the entrance of the beach they have a self service sunscreen booth that rotates your body as it sprays you with your choice of spf level. There are also bikes that you are able to rent and ride up and down mid/south beach. Overall we had the best time at Eden Roc and have already been planning our return trip! All of the employees made our time here unforgettable and special. read more
