I stayed at The Palms for one night, and the hotel itself was beautiful, although the city-view room I had felt very small. The service at the pool was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. I ordered the lobster salad sandwich with fries, and it was really good and fresh. The pool area was nice, although most of the available chairs were toward the back of the pool in the white sand area. Valet parking was $50 for the night, which is typical for Miami Beach, and my car was delivered quickly as soon as I requested it. Overall, it was a nice stay with great service, but the room felt a little tight. read more

Beautiful boutique hotel right in the beach. The service was top notch the moment we got out of the Uber someone was right there to take our bags, guided us throughout the hotel and even brought our bags to our room. My boyfriend and i recently stayed here for a vacation booked through Costco. We had the most amazing time at The Palms! We were celebrating our one year anniversary, and were spoiled with a bottle of wine our first night. Room was spacious and super clean- you can elect to have it cleaned however often you would like to with an out of a button. We loved lazy days at the beach and the pool. Cocktails were delicious, but beware of the steep 20% auto gratuity. We also enjoyed the nightly happy hours, where proceeds from the drink and food specials would go toward a particular charity. Loved that it was in a super quiet location...you do need to venture a little ways away to find some good restaurants though. It looks very fancy and expensive! However, the bed was too high, and my 4-year-old daughter fell and got hurt. The shower water seemed old, and the bathroom door was very inconvenient for me. In my sister's room, the shower was leaking. The electronic control system for the bathroom was very confusing. When you're cold and tired from the swimming pool, go into your bath, get out, and adjust those things outside the bathroom; I don't like it! However the pool and the garden were so nice! read more

I came here for a wedding, I didn't stay over. I stayed down the road. And I'm also glad I did. The rates are absolutely atrocious for the service by most (not all) of the staff. To begin with, the building is quite old. Yes it's a high rise and cleaned up relatively nice on the inside, but it's one of those overpriced places that can charge that much for location and name. Everything in there is overpriced - food, drink, spas. I know the bride seemed happy, but as someone very well versed in weddings, it seemed like the hotel staff organizing it were quite disorganized. And it very much seemed like they didn't want to be there. From the pre party the night before, to the actual wedding and reception. Not one staff member seemed happy. And I tried to engage in conversation but got nowhere. They were less than accommodating for dietary restrictions for a few guests. We saw they had vegan options for the first course (fruit), and when we asked for that we were told it was "only for the kids". What..?? Then I got the steak option for the entree, and we weren't asked any cooking preference. Mine was cooked so well that I couldn't eat it. The location may be pretty. I absolutely LOVED my stay at the Palms!!! I booked my trip through jet blue vacations which was a first for me. I think I got a really good deal on my flight and hotel stay. I've looked at pricing for the Palms again and it does seem higher than what I paid. I'd pay to come back again though. The only negative thing to note that was upon checking in we found 2 pairs of dirty underwear in the closet of our room. We called the front desk and they immediately apologized and moved us to another room. I felt so relaxed at this hotel. From the room to the staff and restaurant it was just perfect. The food at the bar / restaurant was great. The service staff was so friendly and the pool / exterior area is very serene. It doesn't feel like you're in Florida. Checked in very late. The person at the front desk was limited in communication so it was hard to get proper info. Arrived late at night (weekend) and wanted to go eat somewhere out/enjoy nightlife out in Miami, and they suggested calling Uber Eats??? That made no sense. Definitely didn't come to Miami to eat in my room on a weekend night. It was difficult to communicate with this person. Figured out the plan through google and other resources, and made it happen. The employees at this hotel (other than the front desk) were very happy and helpful people! Appeared they really appreciate and love where they work! It made the experience better. It was very easy to have chairs and table/umbrella set up for you on the beach. Easy to check out towels with your room info/card. The hotel is in South Beach. It's a quick Uber to night life. In the day, there's a very long trail that goes along the beach that you can walk or bike ride to do a lot of things. The area felt safe enough. I recommend eating at Prime 112 or Prime Italian at least once during your stay. Prime 112 is a big celebrity hot spot, and you can also sit on the patio at Prime Italian and watch them come in and out. They are owned by the same company, very similar, one is more steak house and the other more Italian. Night life was fun in Miami! The room was comfortable and the view was great! Easy access to the beach and pool and their little coffee shop is a good grab and go spot too. The Aveda Spa was very peaceful, relaxing, pretty, and the massage itsself was amazing. I really enjoyed it. They offer a steam room as well, with refreshments and fruit while you're onsite. The lockers were kinda weird. Got locked out of it which they said happens a lot, and had to open it for me, but I had already been in and out of it once or twice, so that didn't really make sense. One thing in Miami is look at your receipts. Not used to this, but almost everywhere seems to just add their own tip onto the bill so if you don't pay attention you may end up double tipping. We stayed at The Palms Hotel & Spa in Miami Beach and were disappointed with several aspects of the experience. Front desk staff is extremely unfriendly. We were charged for a duplicate reservation even though only one room was used, and there was no flexibility or adjustment offered when we brought it to the hotel's attention. The "spa" was also very underwhelming and not what you would expect from the name--facilities felt limited. Additionally, there is no proper guest shower available after checkout, and the fitness center is quite basic. While the property itself is visually nice and the location is good, the overall guest experience and amenities did not meet expectations. read more

The cancellation email finally came in while we were standing at the front desk, hours after it was too late to do anything. Instead of owning their mistake, the staff blamed us, offered a downgraded ADA room at a higher rate, and acted like they were doing us a favor. I chose The Palms for the location. The lobby and grounds are nice. The pool is good, busy, but we were still able to get the last two chairs together around midday on a Saturday. It's a direct shot to the beach and you can check out beach towels with your key card. The standard king room is absolute crap and is very small. The room itself felt more like something you'd find at a low end place you stay at when road tripping across the US because there's nothing else around but it's getting dark... Motel 6? Housekeeping was good but you have to request it or they won't come but every few days--I love the button you can push to tell them you're ready for service. They've gone the route of the refillable bottles for toiletries (boo). The TV in the room was so old that it kept resetting randomly. The room is supplied with slippers and a robe. Water pressure isn't great but tolerable. I would not recommend staying here to anyone and would likely not stay here next time I'm in the area. read more

The room I was assigned seemed ok. Unfortunately, the room had a bad dirty smell. I realized the rug that covers the majority of the room was the cause. Barbara and Vanessa are the BEST! They helped us make our dream wedding come true at The Palms Hotel and Spa back in June! Being born and raised in Miami, there are lots of picturesque wedding venues that unfortunately are more flash than substance, especially given their asking price. The Palms Hotel and Spa is not one of those cases. This venue truly provided a white glove, boutique experience. The venue itself felt very detached from the hustle and bustle of Miami Beach with all the greenery and tranquility of the outdoor gazebo area. That scenery, combined with the art deco style of the hotel and the wonderful service of the hotel staff, truly transports one back to a simpler, and calmer point in time before Miami and Miami Beach became the world renowned metropolises they are today. Every detail was attended to by Barbara, Vanessa and the entire team! The food which was prepared by the same chef as their onsite restaurant, Essensia, was phenomenal! After our wedding, we also enjoyed our stay in an ocean view room, which had very comfortable linens, and pillows, and got to enjoy the hotel facilities the next day. We absolutely loved the pool and beach area, which had plenty of room for the guests. The hotel also reminds you of all their sustainability efforts-- hence the wood-like keycards that are used to access your room as well as other areas. Thank you for dealing with our questions throughout our year-long planning process! The execution of everything our summer wedding and our subsequent stay at the hotel couldn't have been better! My sister and I needed a vacation where we sat and stared at the ocean for a few days with as little movement as possible, and the Palms fit the bill. Our room was clean and well-maintained, with a separate toilet from the shower. The open areas were clean, and all the workers were friendly and helpful. I even had an excellent employee return my earbuds when I dropped them without noticing they were missing. Each morning at 7 am, I sat and watched the hard-working men set up the chairs and umbrellas and were able to pick our chairs at the 8:30 opening time. Starting at 11 and throughout the day, attendants brought drinks as food that we ordered promptly and efficiently. The Palms Hotel & Spa is located in Miami Beach at 30th & Collins which is a bit north of all the action so that is the first thing folks need to be aware of. If you want to be in the heart of things I'd probably stay further south which is walking distance from numerous restaurants and bars. On the positive side, The Palms is quieter and not as crazy so reserve based on what you prefer. You definitely have a limited number of options come night time in this area. We were very happy with the hotel overall. Clean, nice rooms, nice pool area with a tiki bar and the beach area is very well run with attendants manning the umbrellas and chairs. Was very impressed with the pool and beach folks in finding seats no matter what time we got down to the pool/beach. Kudos! The valet service is all done thru text which is a great idea. Fast, efficient and made it very easy to go in/out without issues. Overall a very pleasant experience and trip. I wouldn't quite put the Palms at the level of a 5 star hotel but a relatively inexpensive option (for Miami) and a quality hotel. I'd definitely consider going back! read more

The palms is located in South Beach along Collins avenue. It has prime access to the beach which is dreamy! The check in process was fairly easy when we arrived on a Thursday around 5pm. The gentleman was nice and very informative. We booked the King Ocean front room which was a decent size but for the cost I thought it would be a bit more updated or at least include a balcony. The view of the ocean from the 10th floor is beautiful but its just window gazing. The king was comfortable and the ac was delightful. The only serious ding was the shower. The glass door just wouldn't keep the water from dripping out so there would be puddles of water after a shower. We did place a towel on the outside but it only did so much and would spill out to the doorway hall. I could actually see this being a hazard. Overall, all staff encountered was welcoming and polite. The tiki bar is nice when going to the beach and the beach service is on point. Serena checked in and was a pleasant cocktail waitress despite the heat on the beach! I do wish the restaurants and bars were open later but they close early at 10pm so couldn't enjoy a night cap when returning from dinner. Otherwise, a solid spot to stay in Southbeach. read more

The Palms hotel is an excellent place to stay in Miami Beach! The boutique hotel strives in service and is the perfect spot for a low key beach trip! When I arrived, there was some confusion with the bags and valet but was able to get it sorted - I would recommend to take your own bags, don't give to valet/bellman if you can avoid! The hotel offers some great amenities, including a spa and yoga classes on Sundays. I scheduled my spa treatment ahead of time to make sure I had an appointment at my preferred time/day. Conveniently located with easy access to the beach, which includes chairs / umbrellas with full service. However, one downside was that the rooms were outdated and could use some modernization. Despite that, I still enjoyed my stay and made the most of the hotel's offering, we will be back! read more

My flight arrived ahead of my group and I had a lot of time to kill before I could check in at my hotel. I saw that there was a spa next door and walked right over. I asked if they had any openings and I was lucky that they had one in 45 min! The receptionist was extremely helpful in giving me a tour and making me feel comfortable. Worst hotel ever and TERRIBLE customer service. I left behind a $300 purse in my room. I just realized this the other day and called and they said they found the purse but their policy is to only hold for 30 days and then they discard it after that length of time. I wasn't notified or anything that they found this as a lost item in my room, even after logging it in their system and clearly having all of my personal information and spending thousands of dollars to stay there. Mixed feelings- This was our honeymoon trip and we were really excited about it, especially in a year like this. We booked the palms at least a month beforehand, and called to alert the staff, about our celebrations. When I called, I spoke to someone called John (I might be wrong) and I got a sense that he wasn't very friendly or familiar, but I let it slide. We called again less than a week before our trip to make sure we had a nice room for our honeymoon, and same thing occurred , staff sounded curt and hurriedly rushed me off the phone. On arrival, I excitedly checked in with the petite,black female staff with a short haircut, and her attitude cut my joy short, I'll tell you that. There was absolutely "no congrats" from her. How do people tell you they just got married and, they chose your hotel to celebrate and not one person or staff even said congrats with a smile? That's terrible. I work in hospitality and I know for sure exceptional customer service is everything as it yields a return from consumers. This hotel lacked that. To make things worse, they took us up to the crappiest room they had on the 3rd floor, with no view and SO DARK! without any respect for our requests or our marriage! This is where we went livid. I came back down and asked to speak to the supervisor, Julian spoke to me and arranged to have us in a better room on the 4th floor. This was a better room, but not one chocolate, or even a complimentary bottle or note to celebrate with the couple. We were truly disappointed. Now the good part, while waiting for our room, we waited at the tiki bar for some food and drinks. Yelian was our waiter and he was truly a delight, we later found out it was his first day on the job, what a pleasant surprise, I hope the palms promotes him! The food and drinks at the tiki bar were not so special and drinks weren't as strong. We had a nice access to the beach. Bear in mind you're charged about $38 per day per guest for resort fees. It is not cheap. All in all, we had a nice room after so much hassle, and we extended our stay by two more nights so we could spend thanksgiving. Not sure I'll be coming back, as the hotel has a lot of work to do especially cultivating a warm environment between staff and consumers, especially in a year like this. read more

Stayed in mid-June 2025, very disappointed - Ocean view room was fine, but the ocean itself was full of seaweed (no warning about that, Punto Cana at least gave a notice) . Yes they were trying to clean the beach but honestly it was all looking dirty - If you think of coming on a honeymoon here - don't. Rooms have ZERO sound isolation. I could hear family next door with a bunch of kids whole time. - On day 2 half of elevators just stopped working. There were 2 weddings going on and hotel got overcrowded. Even after they got it fixed elevators would still randomly go wrong direction or forget where they were going. Very luxurious - Cheap service / nothing is included. Idk about others, but if I'm paying about a thousand USD per day for honeymoon suite I expect valet service and minibar free, it just looks cheap AF to charge like 6-12$ for a can of soda. - Valet parking 50$ per day. No mention of that anywhere. If I knew I wouldn't have gotten rental car. Also wait for 20-25 min for a valet car to get out of garage is insane. - Hotel positions itself as a SPA center. No discount for spa if you're staying at the hotel (what's the point of the hotel then?). - SPA experience was at best mediocre. Spa is small and overcrowded with people. The only other "luxurious" amenity there is a steam room, that's all. Speaking of massage sessions, out of 3 days, one was really bad (like my back was hurting for the whole day), one day was good and one was okay-ish. Massage sessions feel rushed (we had massage in four seasons in Maui and it was MUCH better than this). Nothing wrong with being mid, but pricing for quality offered is delusional at best and a ripoff at worst. I see guys do business there but I'm never coming again. Fun fact, during one of the wedding ceremonies, there was a hotel trash truck working and beeping non-stop for about 10 minutes. I've stayed at this hotel multiple times over the last 15plus years. I hate that the full bathroom is separate! We did not like the "water closet" area w/ the small sink over the toilet on one side and the full sink/shower area on the other. The room was okay by room standards, the smell from the spa was amazing and the food options were okay as well. The check in was the best part of staying here, the desk clerk, melinda, was very friendly and personable. the downside was when we checked out, our flight was early/ we utilized the lyft and the bellman mad the luft driver park on the street. now the reason this was not okay is because this hotel is elevated or sits up from the street, so not only do we have to carry our luggage down the flight of steps to get to the pull in drive, but also down the driveway- very very very inconvenient. Also, this hotel is not very handicap accessible, its probably the bare minimum offered. read more

This hotel is right on the beach which is a plus. We checked in for a wedding that started at 4:30. Check in was available at 4:00 and we got there at 3:00. They said our room wasn't ready but they could upgrade it to another room for an extra $40. I'm surprised no rooms were ready by 3:00. After we agreed to the increase in price the guy behind the desk left and came back telling us our room is now ready and we don't need to pay an upgrade. Confusing how they didn't know what was going on. Anyways, when we got to the room it was very nice. It was a little strange how the toilet was separate from the shower. They were in their own separate little rooms. They were nicely decorated though. The toilet had a nice feature where it had a sink above it that you washed your hands with and it used that leftover water to flush the toilet. I'm not a big green person but I think that's a good idea. The grounds around the hotel were meticulously kept up. Everything looks gorgeous and green. A small gate let you out to where you could walk to the beach and a path that went up and down South Beach. read more
