The start of the evening was a little slow after we were seated, but then our waitress Liz showed up. She was very nice and had a great quirky/funny demeanor. I ordered a dirty bleu martini and it was yummy. When our food was delivered we were pleasantly surprised with how big that steak actually was. Our sides were potatoes augratin loaded, green beans, and creamed spinach. I chose the Caesar salad and the hubby chose the gumbo. It was all really good. We ended taking left over steak, green beans, and creamed spinach back to the hotel. For all of that food, including an alcoholic beverage, the total really wasn't that bad. The note on the bottom of the bill cracked me up. I would go back again if we came back into town.

The steak was INCREDIBLE. I finished it all, even though I was then very full for multiple days. I loved the escargot as well, it was so cheesy and buttery. The Mac and cheese is also a stand out, definitely order it, so delicious. The stuffed peppers weren't great, I didn't really like them. They had too much going on flavor-wise that didn't really work. If I were to go back, I'd get a more standard steakhouse side like broccoli or asparagus. To drink, I ordered the gin fizz. It had little bits of lavender on top and you could really taste it in each sip, but it wasn't overpowering. Very delish. The service was great throughout the evening. I also thought the restaurant was beautiful with tall ceilings, beautiful bar, and the tables and chairs were beautiful (and comfortable).

Stopped in on the way to Billings for a bite after my sons double header in Cody, the place was packed at 7:00 on on Saturday night. The two of us found the only open table, despite being busy, we were greeted immediately and the service was excellent from start to finish. we both ordered the NY strip, medium, done better than I do myself according to my son "best steak I've ever had"! The salad bar for lunch was already set up, but there wasn't anybody in that area of the dining room. The breakfast menu is standard, and one item could be ordered as a skillet or a scramble depending on how you wanted your eggs. I opted for the skillet. It was an unusual skillet in that the bacon was really bacon crumbles. Nothing wrong with that, but it made it very hard to tell the difference between the bacon and the potatoes, which were small and nearly the same color. Overall, it did not look appetizing. There was a lot of food, but it was monochromatic with the eggs the only color, everything else was dark brown. I was hesitant. Fortunately, it tasted much better than it looked. The bacon crumbles were crispy enough to give some texture and the potatoes. some crispy, some not, were a middle point between the bacon and the eggs. While it tasted fine, maybe it wasn't the best thing to order, or the best time of day to order it. I suspect this place isn't used to having customers in the late morning. Oddly, there was no-one in the casino section so am not sure why there wasn't any attention given to the details. One thing -- does the only TV in the restaurant have to be on the 24-hour "need legal help" infomercial looping the same 15-minute segment? Takeaway: don't come here alone or without something to read.
