Lido Bottle works has great vibes and good service but the food is just okay. Many of their dishes have a unique flair to them but it doesn't always hit. The pork belly bao buns were good but the peach burrata was too sweet and has me wishing for tomatoes and balsamic vinegar. The striped bass was also good but didn't blow us away.

We love the food, the vibe, & the location ! We've dined here many times and even brought out of state friends here. Service has been good for the most part. Their menu changes so some of our faves are sometimes not available and sometimes come back. So far the one that has stayed from our faves is the Bao buns. We especially love coming here when the weather is really good. As it is in Lido Marina and right by the water, it does get cold. And if we can, we prefer outside seating. However, it is nice and cozy inside, so it's not bad to be seated inside. They have happy hour so try to take advantage o

So yummy! Great flavors on this catch of the day. Love the well-portioned side of veggies. The flavor combo of savory, sweet, and sour are AWESOME. Eating with a view is so cool, too! This place is great for people watching, soaking up the sun, and reflecting on the beauty and magic of Easter!

A great luncheon place. Not only was the Jidori Chicken Sandwich bite-perfect, but all the things around it were pretty good as well. The only thing that could've made the tomato bisque better is if it had included a grilled cheese sandwich with it. The same with the dessert options as well. The only two edible ones I saw had one troubling ingredient each--one had nuts on it, which is not ideal, and the other had mallow all over it, which is truly inedible. Otherwise, the desserts would've been perfect as well. The service was excellent. It really impressed me how often they had our refills in hand before us needing to ask and how quickly they responded to other requests. The ambience was good too. It wasn't a huge place, but it was plenty big for our company shindig. I wish all places my company sets up these events looked as appealing and had menu items as good as Lido.

My fiancé and I had the BEST dinner here. We honestly thought it would be a "you pay for the location" type of place, but this one one of the best dinners I've had in a while. We started off with the pork belly bao buns, which were phenomenal. Usually other pork belly is super fatty, these were crispy only with no fat, and the deviled egg filling on top was a pleasant surprise. We thought that since we ordered a burger and pasta that the bao buns would be the main dish of the evening flavor wise. But when I tell you that the burger...dare we say...the best we've ever had? Strong statement but we both agree that we can't think of an another burger that tops this one. Insanely flavorful and unique, and the juiciness is to die for. Genuinely you need to try it for yourself. No sauce needed but have to say that the coconut aioli is INSANE. The chorizo bolognese is sooooo good. I wouldn't expect a gnocchi like pasta but it just worked so well. Very flavorful and tons of meat. Our waitress, Kim, was amazing and was so quick to bring our food and drinks. She was very attentive and SO kind and nice to talk to. She really made the experience stand out to us even more. Overall, I highly highly recommend. Great location, drinks, food, service, this place is the whole package.

Après-dinner drinks. They were able to accommodate our party of 10. Everyone had wine. I tried their version of an old-fashioned. It was a purple hue. Not bad, but I prefer the original. They have a great view of marina and the fancy boats. I'm sure this place is busy around sunset. Enjoy!

Lido Bottle Works has a fantastic brunch menu. My group made reservations prior and we sat on their outdoor patio outlooking the harbor. They also have heaters which is a nice touch. I ordered their burrata salad paired with a side of their housemade foccacia and blueberry butter. The burrata was fresh and salad was a good portion, but I wish the dressing had more flavor. I tried bites of the egg and guanciale avocado croissant and pork belly baos which were delicious. I'd highly recommend if you're looking for a cute and tasty brunch spot.

Great service from Gabbi and Jessa. Phenomenal execution for such a large holiday party with indoor and outdoor seating and bar. The restaurant itself is not that large but the food is good and the views of the boats and ocean are super close. They validate parking for 1 hour if you park in the parking structure that is 5 mins away in walking distance. Overall charming place with great drinks and a variety to choose from to eat.

Yellowtail with chimichurri that tasted way better than the video-game graphics suggest
    Joey T.

I came here for lunch and ordered the yellowtail topped with chimichurri, and honestly it tasted even better than the Pixar-level graphics in my photo suggest The fish was cooked perfectly... still juicy and flaky, not dry at all. The chimichurri brought that bright herby flavor without being too oily, and the crispy onion rings on the side were way better than I expected (light, crunchy, not greasy). Even the fried rice had good flavor instead of being just filler, which was a nice surprise. Would definitely come back... especially for that chimichurri yellowtail

Well, sign me up for a new restaurant and fun spot for cocktails at Lido bottle Works. The Bartender ZACH is a genius and I could watch him make cocktails all day long. Did I mention also to drink the cocktails? Great list of beers, great list of specialty cocktails and did I mention wonderful wines and sparkling BRUT by the glass? The brunch menu was also delicious. Thank you BRETT for treating us like royalty during the Boat Show. We almost missed the Boat Show after drinking those great cocktails!!

First time here, such a cute place for a drink and some appetizers. They sat us right in front of the restaurant where we got to people watch and watch the fabulous yachts pass by... great view and hang out area. Service was good and great wine selection. Can't comment too much on the food because we ordered the charcuterie board but it was good. I would definitely come back to try the other stuff on their menu.

This is hands-down one of my favorite lunch spots. Sitting out on the dock overlooking the harbor feels like a mini getaway, and the food absolutely delivers. The chicken jidori sandwich is a must! So good! During Restaurant Week, it gets even better with a salad, a drink, and ice cream for dessert included. Great view, great food, zero regrets. Simply delicious.

Stop in to Lido Bottle Works just for a glass of wine on saturday night. They have ample bar seating as well as tables up for reservations. The ambiance was very lively but not too loud to enjoy a nice conversation. I will be returning to enjoy their food because everything that came out looked delicious.

The parking lot situation can be confusing but thankfully there is ample parking right across the street. Semi Tropic wines is located on an unassuming street but is very beautiful and cool inside. They also have a spacious patio for outdoor seating. I had a sparking wine that was juicy, slightly sweet, and refreshing. There were limited wines options this night but I think that's partly because the menu was "curated." Lots of non-alcoholic options which was a pleasant surprise. Menu is on the pricier side. This night we came because they were hosting the food pop up "Three Pigs" which offered a variety of yakitori skewers. We ordered one of everything and my favorites were the beef, chicken thigh, and cucumber salad. I'd love to come back and try Semi Tropic's house menu, but if they keep up a steady rotation of cool pop ups like this I think that would be an amazing idea too! I'm looking forward to their future events. We arrived early in the night (about 5:30pm) so there weren't many people. By the time we left closer to 7pm. the line to order at the bar was considerably longer and the place was packed. They host live jazz Thursdays and Fridays which I would definitely come back to enjoy for longer! Semi Tropic Wines is a neat place that would be fun for a first date, or a great place to begin your night out (if you're not worried about price). Cheers!

On their website, they listed charcuterie and a lot more wines, but that was not what was offered. The inside is really cute. But the outside is rundown. It's a beautiful spot for brunch, mid afternoon snack or gathering spot with friends for dinner. The vibe is Newport relaxed quietly trendy. But let's get on with the food. In the morning if they have the monkey bread in stock don't skip on it. Their avocado toast is exceptionally well done. In the afternoon I recommend their dips and cocktails. They are on the lighter side. The star of the show for me right now is their dinner deals. Recently the restaurant has been doing weeknight specials that really are SPECIAL. Kudos to the chef who did Thursday Parma Chicken night (6/11). We started with a cold draft of Peroni Italian beer. Followed by a plate of Parma chicken, salad and frites. The chicken was other worldly. It was huge! Somehow still crispy with speckles of sesame, even with a layer of melted mozzarella, ham and fresh whole leaves of basil. Fries were thick and perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. Two sauces accompanied the plate. A tomatoey one and a creamy aioli for dipping. The salad was fresh and lightly seasoned. At $25 for the whole meal including drink is the best deal in Eastside Costa Mesa. The only critique I have is the beer could have been colder. The salad a little bigger (it was delicious). The courtyard heating lamp a little more ample. Thursday night Parm night went so well, I came back to try their Steak and Frites with Wine on Tuesday night. For $35 it comes with a light French red. You could get a white or an-alcoholic wine. I prefer a deeper red but their choice was probably picked to be the most pleasing for most folks. The salad and frites were well executed as Thursday night. They never asked how we wanted the steak done but delivered perfectly cooked steaks. Seared and slightly crisped on the outside and pink to red center. Their compound pat of butter on top was delicious (I cannot tell what is in it but delicious). They also had two sauces accompanying the plate. One was a grainy mustard that went very well with the steak and the other was their creamy aioli. If you want a great deal and great food try them out for their Tues or Thur special. Go now before word gets out and they get too busy to book a table. I plan to be here this summer for them.
