    Roast beef brisket sandwich
    Val B.

I love the farmhouse feel of this cute cottage with its beautiful wooden beams on a vaulted ceiling. This place is always packed so expect a full parking lot and wait for a table. The waitresses are very busy as well so it's not easy to get their attention. It's a fairly large menu so we split a shrimp basket and the roast beef brisket sandwich. The shrimp were excellent, just slightly battered and very tasty. The brisket was good but needs a kick of something like a tasty sauce or cheddar cheese. The fries and cole slaw were good too. I'd be willing to go back and try another sandwich.....

Been awile since Ive been hear. I always liked the decor of this cafe. And the staff, I was hear on a Thursday morning and barley anyone in hear. Orderd full stack of French Toast and waited awile for it. About 35 min. For a place that was not packed that seem kinda along, and especially with the high price of the food. It be out alittle faster. I can't denie the fact that it is well kept up place. So made the reason for the high priced food and the specials they have its only 2 and they are even on the pricy side. I might come back in the future if around the area but definitely won't be my go 2 spot for breakfast!!

a plate of food with eggs, toast, and tomatoes

Had breakfast outside on the patio this morning. The weather was gorgeous and there was no wait at around 9 o'clock. I ordered nova eggs which was a poached egg with salmon, capers and hollandaise sauce on an English muffin that came with a side of potatoes. The service was great even though it was starting to get a bit crowded and they are shorthanded. I will definitely go back

This menu had everything you can imagine. So I settled for a soup and sandwich. This food has so much flavor and the texture of the bread was on point. They have a huge outdoor patio with a fireplace and I can imagine when night time comes, I bet it's packed with happy people. Definitely going to some back again. Thanks

I ordered the honey garlic chicken with a side of mashed potatoes and street corn. My little sister ordered the kids burger, fries, and fruit. I loved the chicken. It was cooked perfectly and the sauce was very flavorful. The mashed potatoes were my favorite and I think I've gotten them every time I've gone. I wouldn't get the street corn again- it was fine, but it didn't really taste authentic. My sister loved her burger and ate almost the whole thing. She ate the fruit and some fries too. It was definitely a lot of food for her at a reasonable $10.

The service was somewhat slow, but the waitress was very nice. Their beer was in cans or bottles. I ordered a Head Hunter IPA and it had a date code from the summer, so their stock was a bit old. I split a bowl of crab bisque $15 with my son. It was ok on spices/flavor and had small strips of crab, but the body was on the thinner side and I didn't think it was creamy enough. A miss, plus the guy who brought it out must have had the soup shift on the walk over so he had his thumb on top of the spillage that went onto the rim. I should have sent it back, but we were hungry. The small cornbread muffins that we had before our meals came out were tasty. After discussing the lunch menu with the waitress she said the Yardley Burger was very popular. $19 - roasted tomato, boursin cheese, hand cut fries. My son ordered the chicken cutlet - $18 fresh mozzarella, vodka aioli and chips. He skipped the sauteed spinach that was supposed to come on it. They took awhile to come out. The burger had a ridiculous amount of boursin on it (plenty of herbs and garlic coming off it), the meat was bland and the hand cut fries were a tad soggy. Even the bun was weak, so for $19 they can keep it. My sons sandwich was much better. The vodka aioli flavor was a home run with the thick cutlets. Still not worth $18, but much better than the burger. I had a Yards Washington Porter with my burger that slightly helped my disappointment. This place only gets the 4th star because I love history and the building has it. It was just OK other than that. Maybe a dinner/date night is in order to see what these higher yelp reviews are all about. Their entree prices seem much more in line. For lunch, I'm a no.

Signage is minimal. The easiest path is to walk around the right end of the building, locate the outdoor patio dining area, and enter through that door. Otherwise, you will be walking down long hallways without assurance you will reach your destination. Obviously, The Weekday Cafe (nice alliteration), is meant primarily for the folk who work in the complex, but if I owned the business, I would want to cast a larger net. This is the third food operation at this location in about as many years, so they have their work cut out for them. Getting the word out beyond this small universe is critical. And, while the attractive shop is diminutive, it is worth discovering. They do a decent breakfast with a limited menu and good coffee. Service is friendly and efficient. My "Early Riser" sausage, egg and cheese on toasted English muffin was solid and cost only $2.95. The java flowed hot and strong. This morning, a few other office workers came in to pick up something to take to their desks, but not enough to make a success. Hopefully, their lunch trade carries them. They do have two other similar locations in Ewing and Hamilton, NJ, that are larger and also require excellent tracking skills to find, but seem to be doing well. As this Weekday Cafe is closest to home, I wish them good luck and smart advertising.
