I decided to give this place a try yesterday. A friend and I went for lunch. I know it has not gotten the best reviews so I am here to set the record straight. This place is fabulous. The decor is absolutely beautiful and makes you feel so cozy being in there. The waitstaff was so friendly and attentive to us. Our lunch was really delicious my friend had the buffalo shrimp salad and I had an omelette. Everything was delicious. I am so glad that I gave this place a try I will definitely be going back and bringing more friends and more family members. This is a great addition to Yardley. read more

So I've read a few of the negative reviews on this place and I don't get it. If you're a food snob, don't come here. It's not the Four Seasons. If you want simple breakfast food done really well then this is a great place! The staff is extremely friendly, the service was quick and the food was very good! It is a small cafe and (because the food and service is good!) there can be a wait at times. All I can say is it's worth it! The prices are very reasonable too! read more

I love coming to the Edgewood Cafe. Good food, good prices, and especially good wait staff. They serve a great breakfast, and keep it simple which I like. I love the farm house look of the building on the inside. The staff though is just superb. I've never gone without having an absolutely great server. Just recently I had Sean (Maybe Shawn?) and he couldn't have been better. He even ran some to-go food out; seriously above and beyond typical service. A great breakfast spot. read more

I come here often with my dad or friends and the food is always delicious. the service can be a little slow sometimes but the atmosphere is very warm and friendly. there was one incident where I ordered an omelet with toast, home fries and meat but instead of breakfast meat I wanted a fruit cup. when I got my food, I got bacon and a fruit cup but no home fries, I love home fries so I was quite upset. other than that, I never have had a problem there and go at least twice a month read more

Went with a friend for dinner and we both were extremely disappointed. The salad looked like the lettuce came out of a bag.... not fresh at all and barely any carrots, cucumber or tomatoes. We waited for a while for our entrees (the restaurant wasn't even full) and when they did come the mashed potatoes and vegetables were cold. For $16 an entree I was expecting much more. I will not be going back. It is a shame because I had been looking forward to this restaurant opening. It's a great location but overpriced for the quality of food and service. read more

When it first opened it was pretty nice actually. It quickly fell apart though. The place is disgustingly dirty, and I can't say I'm surprised given that the younger "staff" spends their free time fraternizing. On our last trip there, no one came over even once to ask how the food came out. I ate about 20% and couldn't stomach the rest, it's that awful. Food was very old and completely overcooked. Staff is completely inattentive and rude when approached. This was our third and certainly last time eating here. I wish I had listened to the other negative reviews prior to giving them another shot. It's a shame really because this area is lacking in dining establishments with outdoor seating (which has now been reduced to two tiny tables, so don't expect to eat outside anyway). Do yourself a favor and go to Continental Tavern, which is where we were going to go initially but chose this place because the Tavern was maxed out to capacity. I guess that right there is a sign as to why the tavern is maxed out, and this place is depressingly empty. Don't eat here, run! read more

We've gone here for breakfast several times, both weekdays and weekends and will not go back until some changes are made: 1) Prices are too high for what's essentially basic diner food, and compared to other breakfast places in the area. 2) Whoever designed the layout forgot to allow for groups of more than 4--we often have more than 4 for breakfast which rules out this place. There's definitely room for a larger table--the space just needs a bit of reconfiguring. 3)Agree with those who say get rid of the TV--it's not a sports bar. 4) Service, especially when it's busy, is very slow. We found the service very friendly---often overwhelmed, but friendly. Any problems that Edgewood Cafe has are fixable--the food is good, just overpriced, for ex,--but they need to address them quickly, before people stop trying them out. read more

We went in today for the first time and had breakfast. It was delicious and was perfectly displayed on the plate! The servers working today were excellent! Professional, friendly, fast and both food and service will make us come back and tell others. My only suggestion might be the creamer and jelly dishes were tacky. I also noticed pitchers of jellies and splenda packets in plain sight, also tacky. Keep up the great work! read more

We thought we would try breakfast at this new place near our home despite the negative reviews that we had read. Unfortunately, the information in the negative reviews was accurate. The menu said that the crepes are served with whipped cream. They arrived with a can of pressurized "whipped topping" (like KoolWhip - NOT made from cream) for me to use with the crepes. When asked about my food by the waiter and waitresses, they did not seem to know what I was talking about as far as real whipped cream vs. Kool Whip. Also, my husband's breakfast was supposed to include capers but he could not find any in his serving. It appears that someone else wrote the very impressive menu for this restaurant, but the people running it don't understand their own menu and have no idea what they are supposed to be serving. It's unfortunate, because it would be great if there was a nice place to eat at this location. read more

I do not like writing a bad review but after two bad experiences I thought to myself this is not a coincidence. Both times I have come I was ignored by my waitress and each meal either had things changed I didn't ask for or forgot to make the change. The second time I went here the waitress gave me and my aunt serious attitude and ignored after she dropped my toast down on the table. Mind you this was the toast they forgot to make and then when I asked for it it was brought to me unbuttered and no jelly was offered. I was too nervous too ask for anything else because During my second visit we sat at the two seater booth and could here the waitresses talking about other guests! I had no offering for refills on my drink either visit! Generally just poor service! I really hope other people don't experience this because I will never recommend anyone to go there if this is how they will be treated! read more

So I'd like to state I'm not a friend of the owner...however everyone who works there is quite friendly so I wouldn't mind being their friend! As far as the environment goes it is friendly, warm, and inviting....even when the line is wrapped around the front of the place! As far as the food goes, I've been there for breakfast too many times to count and lunch a few times! I don't have any complaints! I frequent it with my husband most of the time however I've taken friends there as well. One friend in particular ordered the smoked salmon platter and was surprised to see it was offered....many places don't provide this option! And she requested no capers! I have the usual "Edgewood Combo" with pancakes and fried eggs over medium. I'll be honest and say TWICE my eggs were undercooked for my liking....that's out of like 30 times being there! My husband usually orders a special and then helps devour the pancakes. I never feel rushed and even when the check comes they mention take your time and let us know if you need more coffee! We love Edgewood and are happy there's a phenomenal breakfast place close by!!!!! read more

we have eaten here a number of times before but not in the past 3 months because we wanted to give them a chance to work out the kinks. Our experience is consistent with prior reviewers. Today we arrived shortly after 8 and there were plenty of tables available (every other time we have been there it has been packed). We were waited on promptly and the server was friendly and returned frequently to refresh coffee and check in (this has not been our experience before). We do like the menu here because there are some really creative breakfast options that are different from standard breakfast fare. I enjoy the salmon plate although the presentation is very inconsistent. Sometimes it comes out with perfectly chopped hard boiled egg and red onion and other times they are simply sliced which are harder to eat neatly. You need to request bread as an accompaniment if you want it. Remember to ask for it dry, unless you like butter AND cream cheese. So our experience today was more favorable than before. I did not notice any apparent front end manager present today which, based on prior experience, seems inconsistent at best. read more
