As a company, I don't get why Edible Arrangements is so popular. I just ordered a bouquet (not my doing, my mom told me to) and paid 86.00 for what looked like about 15.00 worth of fruit, cut into shapes by a machine then arranged into a bouquet on plastic skewers with some kale in the middle. Why not buy a couple melons and strawberries and cut them yourself? Anyway. I luckily avoided the trouble most of the reviewers described by ordering online a few days ahead, then going in to pick it up. I went to the conspicuously empty store (only one bouquet in two display cases, a few empty boxes and some balloons on the shelves) half an hour after the pick-up time. A young lady came out wearing a heavy jacket and blouse that were pulled off her shoulder revealing one cup of her red bra, and told me my order was being wrapped. She went back into the back and I waited another 10-15 minutes. (Good thing I had left myself some wiggle time for pickup, right?) I ordered (May 2026) from here BECAUSE it was walking distance from location. We were picking up because time of arrival home after graduation was unknown. Worked on Valentine's Day as a delivery driver for Them from the store located on south Michigan avenue. Although I Had 1 mishap with 1 delivery. I had 23 deliveries total and Got 20 of those deliveries completed. Even went 54 miles out of my way to personally deliver 2 of the Baskets to a customers home, because I had missed them at the original delivery location at their job. I worked from 7am-8pm and even incurred a $70 Parking ticket at a delivery in the Gold Coast. After a very stressful day of their App malfunctioning and literally having to walk almost a mile, approximately 7 city blocks for a delivery in Merchandise Mart. I returned to The Store to return the remaining 2 baskets to the manager and was greeted with a very nonchalant and arrogant attitude, And was basically treated like a Bum. I was told to come pick up my check approximately 6 days after this Horrific experience. I received the txt to come and pick up my Check 6 days later, and when I arrived to pick up the check I looked at it and it was $100.. Are you kidding me!!!! $100 dollars for working from 7am-8pm and Spending $45 dollars in gas for the day and incurring a $70 ticket!! I was non the less very Insulted and as a grown man that most definitely is not (A) a Bum & (B) not looking to get over on a delivery job for 1 day! I was honest and called the Manager at the store and was told to come back after completing my first round of deliveries and I could take a replacement basket back to the customer, which I did! So long story short I returned and picked up my second round of deliveries totally 14 baskets to be delivered from the near loop, to the west side, to the south side!! Which I had no problem doing But pay me for my Time And my determination to get the customers products to them on Valentine's Day. I never ever write reviews about anyone's business, but the fundamental disrespect and Unprofessionalism that these people showed is not acceptable period! The Mgr in particular was very dismissive and The fact that she acted like she couldn't remember that I had two rounds of deliveries was Nutts!!! I am giving this location the lowest possible rating and highly recommend you choose a different location. I placed an order at the end of February for a for a Birthday Wish-Tini w/Confetti &Berries, with a pick up for March 20th at 09:30. I called the day before and was warned my order would not be ready at 9:30am and to call before arriving. I showed up at 10:15 to pick my arrangement up. I was told they were working on it and they would bring it out to my car at 10:30. Instead I received a call at 10:25 telling me, the store didn't have enough fruit to complete the order because they hadn't received their shipment of fruit. They had no idea when the fruit was going to arrive. I asked for a full refund. As I sat in the car trying to figure out what to do because this was a group gift, I phones the Oak Park Edible Arrangement who informed me they would fill the same order with 30 mins. I payed for a new order and Upon my arrival to the store, my arrangement was packed and ready. The store Manager Darian called an hour later apologizing which was unacceptable to me especially since I had to pay another 90.00 and drive to Oak Park. He said he would insure a refund. Three days after the original delivery date, we saw our friends and asked them how they liked the special treat that we sent. They looked at us funny and said "What treat?" Embarrassing. Edible Arrangements claimed to have attempted delivery three times, the second and third attempts only after our prompting. I even talked to our friends to ensure that they would be home and available during the expected delivery window. I purchased an order in early May to be delivered on my friend's birthday on May 25th. After 27 calls/attempts to call this store and Edible Arrangements corporate within a week span, my order was STILL not delivered. When I did get a hold of the store, they told me they were, "On vacation the past week, so we weren't in the store on the day your delivery was supposed to go out". I do not even know where to begin. I placed a order for a birthday gift to be delivered on a Saturday. Well I am not sure in what world a 9:45PM Delivery is ever acceptable. I was informed by the receiver the item was delivered by a staff member who must have remembered the delivery after the fact, as she appeared in after hours party attire during the delivery. At which point the fruit was delivered already turning brown, and the chocolate had started to melt. Condensation could be seen around the entire covering and the bottom of the clear saran wrap was covered with liquified chocolate from the sweating fruit. I contacted the store to inform them of this and was advised she would receive a replacement item and of course that was not delivered. The driver called three times, consecutively, but never left a message. In the past I've had drivers leave a message so we could coordinate a better delivery time at least.
