The process of ordering was easy and we were able to pick up the cake on the same day. The cake was beautifully decorated. Simple and perfect. Taste wise it was decent, I've had better red velvet cakes and I've also had worse. It was a bit on the drier side, however, the chocolate covered strawberries made up for it. Claimed they closed early so my set pick up time for my mother in laws birthday gift was ready so early it was so inconvenient. Why let me schedule a pickup time at a time you claim to be closed? I had also gone in for a smoothie and was faced with rudeness and a lazy response as the machines were not clean or on. Did you know that you can pick up an arrangement from Edible Arrangements? I needed to go visit a friend of mine who I haven't seen in over ten years. She was having a little get together for all of us gals. She told me she had everything laid out for our meal and that she was cooking all day. My mother told me to never go to a person's home empty handed. I like to live by that rule. Enter, Edible Arrangements. Marlo answered the phone and told me all about the different options I had available. She was so incredibly helpful in helping me since I was being so fussy about the arrangement. I told her that I didn't want any chocolate on there and lots of pineapple. She was up for the challenge! She told me what time it would be ready for pick-up. The location was super easy to get to and in such close proximity to my friend's home. My day was getting off to a great start. I got there about 20 minutes before I should have and I was greeted promptly. Much to my surprise, out comes Marlo with the most beautiful edible arrangement! Right on time with minutes to spare! There is something about great customer service, punctuality, and flower shaped pineapples that really makes me happy. I paid and left very excited to see the look on my friend's face when I give this to her. That should be the mantra of Edible Arrangements, delivering a smile with every arrangement. I was immediately given an attitude because instead of the six balloons I purchased for my sick sister was only three. The rep knew it was only three and didn't bother to call or refund and wasn't planning on it until I called. She hung up on me when I asked for her name. I called back and asked for the manager and she refused to give me that information and again hung up on me. Besides the balloons, the flowers they sent I could've gotten at Coatco for $25. We love the these...the fruit has always been perfectly succulent and the arrangements appealing. We have bought them as gifts and to serve as desert at special occasions. They are pricey' but not more than ordering flowers...and heck, you can't even eat those! My problem has been with this location, the one closest if I'm picking it up, which seems to be a bit disorganized. We once tried to order online and for pick up the following weekend. They didn't have our arrangement when I went to pick it up, and said they could not make me one. It was the holiday season amd they had temporary employees (college kids on break) who didn't know how to handle the situation. It was a fiasco I'd rather not rehash. I placed an order on feb 5th to be delivered to my husband on feb 14th. The store called and left me a vm at 4pm feb 14 stating my they were not going to be able to deliver my order. I have attempted to call back several times and it goes to voice mail. I love ordering Edible Arrangements for friends and families. Normally, I have them shipped out but this one is right around the corner from my house so I can pick them up now. I did not know you could even do that. I have both ordered arrangements for other people and received arrangements from other people out of this location and I've always been more than pleased. The fruit is fresh and I absolutely love the chocolate covered pieces! Not to forget how beautiful the arrangements look. When they received the order around 2 they said the driver just left for that route and they don't deliver on Sunday which should be on their website. Monday he needs to go to the doctor, to have casts put on. He broke his arm and his leg. Had surgery on Friday and home on Saturday. I asked for Tuesday early. I am only giving 1 star because it won't allow me to give zero stars. This location might have the worst customer service I've ever experienced. My partner ordered an edible arrangement online on September 23, 2020. He cancelled the order well before it was fulfilled because he chose the wrong item. The item never got to the point of delivery or anything. The Naperville location stated that they had to transfer the order to another location because of service area and told him to call that location. There has been nothing but complete run around for the last 7 weeks. Every time he calls, he is told someone will call him back, whether it is the Naperville location or the other location and they never do. I took matters into my own hands yesterday and called spoke to Tammy (who stated she was the owner), who made a lot of excuses. I was upset and I let her know that after explaining the situation and WHY I was upset, but her demeanor was extremely defensive and dismissive. What was supposed to be a surprise delivery for me has just been a headache and I've had to get involved to try to get anything resolved since they keep giving my partner the run around. Tammy said she'd need to transfer the order in the system back to her location in order to process the refund and to call back the next day to give her time to do that. She said when you order online, it is a mess. She also stated that the person who knows how to do these things is out sick because she is 37 and having her first baby....all things that I DO NOT CARE ABOUT as the customer. This was no small order as it cost $106 and the item was never received or refunded. I don't need to know the details of your staffing issues, all I need you to do is to rectify the situation. My partner called the Edible Arrangements back today as she requested, and granted he called 15 minutes after the timeframe she told us to call, but he was told that she was not there and they took his name and phone number down to call him back AGAIN. My husband received an Edible Arrangement for Christmas which was not edible. It was made from tasteless unripened fruit. Since I give so many of these away to clients, and know these are pricy, I suggested we return it. We took it back to the Naperville store and the gal took it and said the manager would get back to us. Since the manager did not get back to us, we called them and they said that they had no record number of any order and no record of us returning it back to the store. After calling the manager they said there was nothing they could do to help us without a record locator and would not give us even an aknowlegement that we had returned it because we couldn't prove we returned it.
