Jipata is a cool little hidden gem tucked to the plaza east of china towns Shanghai plaza . The place has a really intimate vibe and the hidden room which makes it feel like you found a spot most people dont know about. It has a really different feel from most places in Vegas and is a great spot to impress a date. We ordered the pork belly which was easily my favorite. Crispy on the outside, super tender inside and the sauce was really good without making it feel too heavy. The ceviche was also really fresh and had a nice balance of citrus and spiced heat. I also tried one of their cocktails and really liked it. It wasnt overly sweet and went really well with the food. Over all, Everything felt pretty well thought out without being overly fancy or pretentious but enough to be intimate and comfortably done. Overall, this is the kind of place I like finding in Vegas. Good food, good drinks and a unique atmosphere without feeling like another typical Vegas restaurant. I would definitely come back, especially for the pork belly and ceviche. The inside of Jipata was incredible. The aesthetics looked good, the wine entrance was beautiful, the lighting was perfect for something intimate, the bar was fully stocked, and everything was clean. We were ecstatic to come because we had some friends that came and said it was amazing. On paper this place had every reason to be a great night. Then the actual experience happened and it left us completely disgusted, furious, and so sad. We ordered a few dishes at 1 AM on August 18th 2026. The party that was already there seemed cool. Our waiter, however, was completely out of line, mean, and rude from the second we walked in. He made us feel unwelcome and humiliated immediately. When we sat down he threw the menus at us, one of them hit the floor, and I had to pick it up myself. When I asked for a new one he flat out said he did not have any. We sat there waiting while our order never came out at all. Fed up with the horrendous service, we asked to use the restroom and discovered there was no hand soap. When we told him, he said they were out of that too. There is a really big risk and a complete health hazard in not having any soap in a food establishment for patrons or for employees who handle food, and there was also no hand sanitizer at the bar. We were baffled and scoffed at the fact that he would not even attempt to get us soap. As we were leaving he mocked me, said goodbye in the most dismissive way possible, then turned and yelled at my fiancé to never come back again while snarling at us. No matter how good the food allegedly is, no matter how beautiful the room looks, if your staff treats paying customers like garbage and cannot do the absolute basics of their job, you will lose people. I have 300 plus reviews and 99 percent of them are five stars because most people are amazing. However, this establishment has truly let us down and I will make sure to never let anybody come here again. If you just look at my history of leaving Yelp reviews, I eat around the world and love leaving reviews, but absolutely this was hands down the worst we have ever been treated. This was one of the most disappointing, disrespectful, and appalling experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. We were so sad and we will never come here again. Great food for late dining, open 6pm to 2am daily is a plus for night people that work late or hungry late and can't sleep! Menu is limited but all food are bomb! 2 pages of awesomeness with desserts. Good selection wines, beers and 5 truly interesting cocktails. Nice and intimate setting. When I was there the restaurant has around 30 seats available. The place is cute and sexy. I was thinking about order some appetizers and will get some main dishes but with three things I had.... I am already full. Great portion offer in my opinion; I order Nam Kao Tod, Corn som tum(salad) and Grilled pork with Lime sauce. As a Thai person...all dishes were not disappointed and full flavors. You don't have to ask for different level of spiciness because seems like everything are medium spicy. But if you like less spicy just request. Definitely be back. read more

Jipata is in my personal running for the best Thai food in Vegas! The vibe is intimate and great for date night, the wine/beverage menu is solid, and the staff are hospitable yet not intrusive. Where they really stand out for me is the food! Probably some of the best crying tiger steak, pad thai, and panang curry I've had in Vegas. Flavors and textures across dishes were well balanced. For someone who loves a dimly lit space, this place is extraaa dark. The front room is a little more inviting and vibey, but the back room was just sort of a quiet, dark space. It's also very hard to find for the first time. The table next to us overheard us debating and insisted we order the grilled pork belly. Although tasty, it was piled with a little too many herbs for my liking. The pad se-ew with chicken and the pad kra pow were both fantastic, I don't think we left a single bite, 10/10. Lots of people mentioned the great wine selection. My friend wasn't drinking, so I skipped over the bottle menu, but the wine by the glass options were minimal and my glass was very average. Although Jipata is a small restaurant, the food selection is amazing. Everything we had on the menu was delicious. I was too hungry so I only took a few photos- but everyone was delicious. Favorites: -Crispy shrimp Panang, I think the shrimp had shell on, but it was soo perfectly crisp, I ate the entire shrimp. -crying tiger- generous portion, delicious cut of meat, and delicious red crying tiger sauce. -shrimp lettuce wraps - the sauce on these ewe so good- savory and slightly sweet with a nice sticky glaze My girlfriend also ordered a cocktail which she enjoyed. If you like quality Thai food and are in search of a small intimate spot then this is it. They also offer a full bar and have a good selection of wine as well. We mainly came here for some drinks and some small dishes to go with it. What we ordered was the oysters, raw shrimp sashimi and corn som thum. The first 2 are definitely a must. The corn was something interesting that I don't see often, but if you love corn with a hint of citrus and spice, then this is for you. Even with that alone, I'm pretty sure everything else should be great as well. At the time when we went, there was no one here so it was really chill with some music playing in the background. There was one worker who I assume was the server and also the chef. Regardless, there is no complaints on my end as everything came out in a timely matter. We never truly understand what it feels like to walk in another's shoes. Behind a smile, a laugh, could be an individual battling unimaginable chaos while carving a new path to an unknown self. Too many of us think our tiny little bubbles represent the only reality that's possible. That's not how the matrix works. Emotionally mature self aware individuals can sense pain more than those driven by ego. How the simplest of feasts can shine a bright light helping another without them ever asking.     This is one of the main reasons I love breaking bread with friends. It's sharing JOY.     Jipata ( @jipatavegas ) was truly an amazing feast of flavors. I love this category of cuisine. The Miang Goong was death row quality! I could have eaten ten of those by themselves. The service was on point, great drinks, and very unique experience. Jipata is super cute and definitely a vibe, especially the bathroom and decor. We arrived around midnight, waited for a table, and sat at the bar. Unfortunately, the service and food were disappointing. My smoked brisket came out room temperature, dry, and tasted reheated. They offered to replace it, but the second plate came out in under eight minutes and still was not hot. I also noticed limited staff and sanitation concerns behind the bar. The atmosphere is cute and has potential, but the food quality, service, and accountability need improvement. read more

Such a cute place. Love the ambiance and the food was great. I don't think we will be back though. Here is why ...... the portions you get for the price definitely giving more of an elevated experience. Which is fine, if we got elevated service but we didn't. We came in on a Saturday night & there were a couple of other tables with sat ( not very many) BUT there was only one server who was also the bartender. At some point on another server came in to help, but by that time there were more parties and we really just felt the service was kind was really slow and lagging. Also, there were mistakes on the menu that caused my husband a lot of pain. Honestly, it could get them sued if someone is sensitive or allergic to something. The description didn't match what actually came out. When we looked back at the menu, you can see that there were duplicates of descriptions that were not accurate. the description describes something other than what we ordered.. Like a completely different dish. For instance we ordered shrimp ceviche, and pork dumplings came out. Everything that came out was incredibly spicy.. I love spicy! But we because dishes came out that we didn't order, it wasn't what my husband expected. So I was enjoying it, but my poor husband was not able to enjoy it as much since he has a sensitive stomach to spice. I felt bad for the servers because I know that they were trying their best but, like I said, I just can't justify the price for the type of experience it was. I mean it was a Saturday night and there really wasn't that many people, they just didn't have enough staff. You could tell that other people felt the same way cause everyone was looking around like? Ji Pa Ta sits in one of those quintessentially Las Vegas juxtapositions: wedged between a new Edomae style fancy spot (haven't tried it yet, but the omakase heads seem to be circling like koi) and what appears to be a long-retired "therapeutic massage" joint where the neon hasn't worked burned in a few years. It's small, chef-driven, and unapologetically Thai- real Thai-served in a room that feels polished but still warm enough that you're not afraid to laugh loudly or ask for a second glass of wine. Think Bangkok night market meets European wine bar, but without the backpackers or the regrettable Chang-beer hangover. I sat at the bar..../best seat in the house, and started with the nam kao tod. IYKYK as gen z would Z would say.....crispy rice tossed with fermented pork sausage, herbs, lime, and enough chili to wake up that part of your brain that tells you yes, I'm alive. Perfectly prepared crunch, sour, heat, salt......all playing in balance. And here's where it gets fun: I had it with one of their many Rieslings by the glass, a lightly off-dry beauty from the Mosel. The wine's citrus and petrol kissed the chili's fire like a ladyboy in a sequin dress blowing you a wink from across the bar....... Not that I would know; it's what I imagine though ‍.......playful, unexpected, and absolutely working in ways you didn't anticipate. No grand opening yet, which means the wine and beer list, along with the seasonal menu, is still a living, breathing creature. That's exciting! Thai food this nuanced deserves the kind of evolving drinks program that can keep up with its moods. Prices? Exactly where they should be. Service? Sharp, professional, and without the pretense that so often infects "concept" restaurants. Everyone I interacted with seemed genuinely happy to be there.....no fake smiles, no spiels. Just good people who know their food and drink. The room itself is beautiful...clean lines, warm light, subtle nods to Thailand without drifting into a tacky "Bangkok Airport gift shop" aesthetic. In conclusion ......Ji Pa Ta is exactly the kind of place that needed to be added to China town....smart, flavorful, open late....and unafraid to turn up the heat. read more

Some unique dishes that you don't see at other Thai places. Insane value for the money. Great wine and beer list (what other Thai place has Cantillon beers?). And open until 2AM. Everything was $12-28 a dish, great price for the quality. 8 dishes cost us $141 plus tip. Northern larb - 9.5/10, the chicharrones are hot and fresh too Nam kao tod - 10/10, probably the best version of this that I've had Crying tiger tacos - 9.5/10 Smoked brisket kung pai - 10/10, super unique and ridiculously great dish. Customer service was horrible!! For starters the girl today was a bit unwelcoming and had us seat ourselves. The surrounding location wasn't great at all- its super dark alley vibes. Also the food was extremely spicy when we requested mild spice. Staff is rude overall. The cook also came out just staring at us when we asked for our check then he walked away. Not sure why this place even exists when they clearly do not understand the basics of how to treat their consumers. First off, the ambience and vibe is great. The music and the dark browns and navy blue interior with the cool Edison lighting and chic. Interior is fantastic. Obviously, we don't go to restaurants just for the ambience, but it does make you feel comfortable. The food was great as well. If you have had any of their food at other concepts, like Chada, Chada Street, Lamaii, or The Patio, you would know that the food is always on point. We had the Drunken Spaghetti with bacon and shrimp and that was a little bit spicier than I expected. We also had some very traditional dishes like the braised pork shoulder panang curry, the crab fried rice, and the pad Kra Pow with egg. All hit the spot and they can edit your spice level. The service was great, the food came out really quick and we were in and out in 70 minutes. We certainly could have lingered a little bit longer, but we were off to get some ice cream. I love learning about new restaurants, even as my "Go" list (nearing 60) keeps expanding to impossible proportions. Jipata was a more recent discovery and my schedule worked nicely to visit it soon after. Sat myself at the bar and was taken care of very well by, if my receipt was accurate, the Chef himself, Bank Atcharawan. Very cool. Plenty of tempting food items on the double-sided paper menu. Alcohol list was three pages and seemed to be bottles only. Ordered- Quail Egg Wonton ($11): Six pieces, wrappers not too thick, not too thin, perfectly crisp, egg inside just on right side of hard-boiled. Good sweet dipping sauce. Goong Ob Woonsen ($18): Large mound of thin delicate noodles buried beneath enough firm shrimp and fatty bacon pieces to ensure each forkful had protein. Snappy ginger slices. Accompanying sauce was spiced enough to curl one's hair. Value: Excellent IMO. Atmosphere: On the outside, very unassuming with an understated elegant sign by the door. Inside, cozy wine club; dark woods, peacock blue and gold patterned accent walls, grey granite bar, vintagey bulbs (the bulbous glass shades of which unfortunately needed dusting). Very easygoing. Quiet enough for conversations. etc - Located in one of Arville Square's outbuildings, sandwiched between a massage spa and the Leatherneck Club, next door to Yui Edomae Sushi.
