We walked into a charming warm and modern dining room, welcomed personally by the chef-owners Farman and Barbara as their first guests for an early dinner on Saturday night. Our daughter had requested to try Spanish cuisine for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised to find Fideus, specializing in paella and tapas. Little did we know what a treat we were in for that evening! Farman and Barbara were meticulous and gracious throughout the evening, hosts interacting more like friends welcoming new guests into their own home for dinner. They explained the menu and pointed out suggestions, checking on tastes and prefered spice levels, then in turn so very warmly and professionally checking if we needed anything else and even providing a little bell to the table to catch their attention from chef duties in the kitchen! The food was exceptional as everything was prepared fresh on order and personally crafted and served to the table by Farman and Barbara themselves! Oven Warm Bread Housemade Aoili Sauteed Mix of Shrimp amd Calamari Mediterranean House Salad Paella with Chicken and Chorizo Our evening was so memorable with the excellent food accompanied by the distinctly warm and exceptional service. Bonus, we were surprised to find our bill quite reasonably priced for our wonderful experience. Remember to book ahead and be prepared for a wonderful evening!

Nice romantic mom & pop place. Great for family dinner as well. I only wished that we had pre-ordered so we can tried other things. The hospitality was above and beyond. The owners were funny, friendly, and provided a very enjoyable dinner experience. The food was delicious! Definitely plan to go back and do the pre-order.

We loved our experience at Fideua. The Paella was amazing. The chef took special care to explain their process and how they cooked the rice to order so it may take a bit. It was well worth the wait. It gave us time to enjoy some cheese, fresh bread, and sangria. The couple who owned the restaurant created a relaxing atmosphere taking pride in great service while making you feel at home. The owner is the chef himself. It was interesting finding out about their journey to bring authentic Spanish food Las Vegas and the years they spent abroad honing their craft. We never felt rushed and enjoyed a break from all the lights and sounds from the strip.

Simply delicious. Stopped in after a Sunday golf round for a late lunch and loved it so much I came back a few days later with colleagues for dinner. Cozy, couple-run spot where they truly go the extra mile. The squid-ink seafood paella is one of the best I've had on the West Coast--deep, briny, perfectly cooked. True to its name (a nod to Spain's noodle dish, fideuà), everything feels thoughtful and authentic. Don't miss the sautéed shrimp & calamari in garlic sauce--so good you'll want extra bread. A definite must for Spanish cuisine in Vegas, and refreshingly away from the Strip. Mention this review for extra smiles and hospitality.

Located on Twain right down from the strip. You'll find this authentic Spanish little restaurant, which is super cute with a great vibe and Decor. The owners are there, and they are an absolute gem. Having been to Spain over a half a dozen times. I can tell you this place. Does a very nice job. Bringing in Spanish cuisine to Las Vegas. I highly recommend you check it out. You won't be disappointed.

My wife and I had the pleasure of experiencing Fideua, and it was one of the most memorable meals we have had in recent years. Don't plan on stopping in for a quick bite, plan on savoring the relaxed pace, the authentic ambiance and the very personal service that you will get from Farman and Barbara. This couple literally runs the front and the back of the house, giving owner-level attention to every aspect of the experience. We had the Sepia Al Ajillo, which is wild calamari and fresh shrimp, cooked perfectly and presented for sharing on a small platter will an Ajillo (olive oil base) with a perfect amount of back heat that enchants your palate. Next, what they humbly call "Toasted Bread " is a play on a bruschetta topped with a delicate tomato compote then a thinly sliced Spanish Serrano Ham, which reminded me of an Italian Prosciutto. While we waited for the main dish, we snacked on a medley of nuts and cheeses. Honestly, I felt loved. The main dish of Squid ink rice with seafood exceeded our expectations, which were very high by that point. Every bite was full of fresh seafood and just the right amount of heat. Basque Cheesecake, Almond Tart and a sort of Tiramisu were presented on a platter for sharing... all homemade and unforgettable. We happened to be there on an evening that included an extremely talented Flamenco guitarist, regaling us with music that elevated the experience to levels unmatched. The prices are amazingly affordable and the experience will keep you coming back. I invite you to lose yourselves in an evening of culinary travel to Barcelona.

Best service we've ever experienced. Flavor of paella took me to Spain and the experience felt like I was eating in someone's home. The owners were so hospitable. The homemade cheesecake with wine pairing was divine. First time here and we already booked our second trip to dine here. I rarely leave reviews unless it left a memorable impression. The ambiance was clean, pretty, good for family or a date.

Overall a great 1st time experience. They were very knowledgeable and passionate of what they do. I love how much pride they take on their food. Everything was very flavorful and did not have a bad taste in my mouth. I feel like you can't go wrong with anything you order bc it will taste good! I definitely recommend and give them a try.

By 10:00, we were checked in at the Cosmopolitan and sitting down for dinner at Jaleo, about four hours later than we typically eat. The restaurant was fun, a big place on the third floor of the Comso, with a colorful dining room, an open kitchen, and an easy upscale Vegas casual vibe. It was pretty lively when we arrived, the crowd only thinning after 11 or so. We hung out until midnight and had a fantastic time. We were celebrating June's birthday, and it was also her first time away from her baby, then eleven months old. Jaleo took tremendously good care of us. Our waiter Kevin was an amazing host, so friendly and attentive. Didn't hurt that he kept bringing us freebies, starting with three glasses of champagne. We followed this up with a round of cocktails, and all of them were delicious. I loved the Margarita Ibérica, made with arbol-infused LALO tequila blanco, Del Maguey Vida mezcal, Lustau amontillado, lime, bay leaf, and salt air with sherry vinegar and piparra brine. Light and refreshing, with that lovely touch of vinegar. The Golden Vector was a strong, balanced drink, with Sazerac rye Sazerac whiskey, manzanilla, and banana, smoked tableside with star anise and cedar. Jaleo has several gin and tonics on the menu, and we tried the Cítrico, with Oxley gin, Fever-Tree Mediterranean tonic, grapefruit, lemon, and mint. A cool cocktail for a hot night. The food was excellent. We ordered a bunch of stuff to share, and it came out at a good pace, so we always had something to eat but were never overwhelmed. We started with the sandia con tomate, a ruby-red salad with slices of juicy watermelon and tomato, topped with goat cheese, pistachio, and Pedro Ximenez vinegar reduction. Then we had the pan de cristal con tomate, thin, crispy toasted slices of bread brushed with fresh tomato and I assume plenty of garlic. Next, some tasty fried things: buñuelos de bacalao, or cod and potato fritters with honey aioli; and berenjenas fritas a la Malagueña, fried eggplant with yogurt espuma, local honey, and lemon. At this point, Kevin brought us more treats from the kitchen. Two trios of olives, the aceitunas marinadas and the aceitunas "Ferran Adrià." The first were traditional marinated Spanish olives, the second Ferran Adrià-style "liquid" olives that took me back to José Andrés's time at Bazaar in L.A. The pulpo a la parilla was a beautiful octopus dish, with tender charcoal-grilled octopus, potatoes, and tomato confit. The gambas al ajillo were classic and satisfying, shrimp sautéed with garlic, served in a pan with flauta bread to mop up that rich, garlicky sauce. We rounded out our meal with a bountiful paella, the arroz a banda con gambas. This came with rice, cuttlefish sofrito, and head-on shrimp. It was just what we wanted, and I especially enjoyed the nuggets of cuttlefish and the crispy rice at the bottom of the pan. For dessert, we ordered the tarta de queso, which came alongside a complimentary flan and a lit candle in honor of our birthday girl. The flan--al estilo tradicional de mamá Marisa con espuma de crema catalana--was silky, custardy, and very easy to eat, served with an "espuma" of Catalan cream. The tarta de queso was even better, a Basque-style cheesecake made with goat cheese and topped with honey and salt. Fluffy, decadent, and not too sweet. We also left with boxes of turrón, a sugary Spanish nougat candy that stuck to my teeth when I tried it the next day. We had a blast at Jaleo. Great food, great drinks, great vibes, and great service. I'd highly recommend it for a nice dinner in Vegas, especially if you're staying at the Cosmo.

We ordered the shrimp tacos, CHICA nachos, Firecracker Wings, quesa-birria empanadas, potato flautas, shrimp ceviche, and ahi tuna bites. Everything was absolutely delicious, and there honestly wasn't a bad dish in the bunch. One thing to keep in mind is that these truly are small plates. Don't expect a lot of food with each $12 dish. They're perfect for ordering several different things and sharing, but if you're really hungry, you'll definitely want to order multiple plates. The Firecracker Wings had a really nice kick to them. We loved the spice, but if you have a lower spice tolerance, be careful with those! Also, a heads-up about the shrimp ceviche: CHICA's version is more tomato-based rather than the bright, lime-forward ceviche you might be expecting. It was still really good, but if you don't like tomato-based ceviche, that's definitely something to know before ordering. For drinks, we tried the CHICA-Rita, Palomita, and Tommy's Margarita. They were running a 2-for-1 drink special for $21 total, which was such a great deal, especially for Vegas. Between the absolutely delicious food, fun atmosphere, and Happy Hour pricing, we really enjoyed CHICA. So sad to see A Different Beast go! I saw that they've been open for quite a while now, but…read moreunfortunately I only recently discovered them a few months ago after seeing an Instagram reel. This spot isn't located in the best plaza as parking can be really tight due to how small it is. I initially came here with a few friends and did the Suave menu ($55 per person) because we couldn't decide whether to splurge or not, but was open to coming back if we enjoyed it. Although the menu is AYCE, for a first time experience, it was recommended to go down the list like a tasting menu. After going through the entire menu with the remaining time you have, you can re-order any of your favorites that you tried. Service was very quick and attentive. Every item came out in a timely manner to ensure that no time is lost! My favorites were the Spring Peas and Pulpo. A Different Beast is honestly a perfect date night or a girl's night out spot. My first experience was so stellar that I came back to try the Premio menu ($65 per person). Luckily when I came back, a few items had changed, but majority was the same. Off of this menu, my absolute all time favorite has to be the Foie Gras!! Sooo melt-in-your-mouth-buttery! It makes sense why it's a one time order only, sadly. My 2nd time visiting wasn't as mind blowing due to already knowing what to expect but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. A Different Beast is definitely a one-of-a-kind experience and I wish there were more AYCE tapas places like this!

We chose the highest price prix fixe set of $65, which includes one Foie gras tapas. This was my favorite one. My other favorites would be the Txaka, which is a crab salad, Spring Peas, Scallop Ceviche, and the Iberico Jamon Bellota. Least favorite were the Atun y Tomate and Morcilla con huevos de Codorniz (blood sausage). I would given it 5 stars but the chef uses small toast rounds for almost every dish. I guess this makes you full but it became repetitive and sometimes overpowered the actual dish.

I forgot that Tapas come out one at a time versus all together. The waiting will make you feel full quickly. Everything we tried was good. I guess I was expecting to be blown away by the Ox Tail in brioche bun, I was not blown away, just okay. I was expecting the ox tail to be as great as the ox tail dish in Madrid Spain by Castellados. The dessert Key Lime Air-Is really like eating air, it's a glamorized graham cracker crust that lacked key lime custard, it had it, but barely. Having more custard could have made this dessert better. Server was nice however order was kinda mixed up. I forgot my readers, wish I brought them with me as Server could have suggested other stuff. All in all good food, a good addition to Crystals.

The latter two are vegetarian and I wanted to go for a vegetarian friendly restaurant just for them. The olive oil tasting was my idea so I also had to choose the restaurant. My LTP and I actually went to a different tapas restaurant about a month ago and we loved it. So I wanted to try one of these again. Our tasting was scheduled to start at 6:00pm and I booked a reservation for 4:00pm through OpenTable. They have a very spacious patio, but due to the excessive heat warning in place at the time, we decided to dine inside. I didn't look at their hours of operation beforehand, so when we walked in, it was empty. Then I noticed that they open at 4:00pm on Saturday's and we were literally the first customers inside. We got a spacious table near the back of the restaurant, where our waiter for the day was Zach. He explained to us that all their food on the menu is based out of Spain, especially the paella, which takes about 40 minutes to cook and is meant to serve about two-four people. We started off with some drinks, where I got the mango margarita, my LTP and my dad respectively got the Atomic Duck and the El Pato Loco Mexican Lager from Able Baker, and my mom and my best friend's mom and stepdad shared a bottle of Chardonnay. While the margarita was on a bit of the sweet side compared to other margaritas I've had, it was still really good and it had a really fruity taste to it. We ordered the following and all six of us shared most of them; short rib pintxo, pork belly pave, patatas bravas, ole mis croquetas, iberico dates, and chicken tinga/braise short rib empanadas. Initially, I ordered just the chicken tinga for myself and my LTP was supposed to get the braise short rib, but my plate had chicken tinga and braise short rib together. That was ok, though, because both the chicken and short rib were absolutely delicious. The short rib pintxo came on a stick, with the rib falling off the stick as I took the first bite out of it. The pork belly pave was cooked perfectly. The patatas brava were spicy, but I would say 'good' spicy. The croquetas were overall one of my favorites; when I sliced it down the middle with my fork, the mashed potato filling spilled out of it. Hands down, Tres was a fantastic restaurant. The portions weren't too big or too small and everything here was so good. Would love to sit on their patio when the weather becomes cooler!
