Great local Sushi Bar! Don't let the fact it's a small place in the corner of a strip center stop you. Once you've walked inside, you'll know something special is going on. The place is super clean and very comfortable. It's not a stuffy atmosphere, it's casual and fun. The service is attentive and friendly but not pushy. The waitresses, like Judy, know their menu well and are great at recommending the unique creations of their Chefs. They have a young and dynamic group of Sushi Chefs here, like "Panda". They can prepare all the classics and create new and fun dishes. The quality of the fish is the best in Houston and the selection is great. I came during happy hour which is from 3-7 I got two rolls, edamame and a drink for around $13. The rolls were delicious I had the crunch and crunch maki rolls. The service was great I was sat quickly and waited on in by Gabriela she was fantastic! I will def be back! read more

Food was really good, but it took a really long time and we had to remind them that we ordered miso soup and green tea. I'm not writing this place off though because it seemed like they were abnormally busy and down a server. We were excited to find a new sushi place near our home. Unfortunately there were several issues with our lunch visit. The atmosphere - Terrible. Although this is a casual restaurant, it was disturbing how the waitress and the cook carried on a one on one conversation across the restaurant with each other as if there was no one else in the restaurant. The food - Not worth the price. We got an appetizer which was pretty good; two rolls which were mediocre at best. The service - Not good. We ordered iced teas which we never got. They gave us water instead so we let that go, but we discovered after we got home that we were charged for two teas. We will not be back. read more

First time here, pleasantly greeted as I walked in. Server was friendly and attentive. No alcohol here its BYOB. Relaxed vibe, good lunch specials and the food was good, rolls are good and crab puffs were light and crispy. Solid 4 star joint. If you're gonna talk and talk loud enough for me to easily hear while I'm eating, please me mindful of what you're talking about. We've been here several times without a problem, but this is the last I'll ever come! Saturday night 5:15, not really busy. Took our order relatively quickly, but took FORTY MINUTES to bring water. My sushi arrived after 50min, my wife's after 1hr. I was starving, but after several bites I immediately lost my appetite when I saw a long hair weaved into several of my sushi rolls. I'm a regular customer and absolutely love the vibe, service, and food at Edojin. Most recently, I ordered take out from Edojin - my first time doing so. I was not disappointed at all. The salmon sashimi was excellent and as usual, served in great portions. My roll was still hot, meaning it was freshly made too! I'm from LA and used to eat sushi a few times a week. I was disappointed in every s0-called sushi place around Cypress until I tried Edojin. I heard they were under new owners so I gave it a shot. THE best salmon sashimi I've ever had. The Octopus is also very fresh. Try the Bubba Gump roll--great combo of flavors. The Texan roll is really really good. I don't usually eat rolls, but I had to try them because they sounded so interesting. They also have mocha ice cream in mango that tastes like fresh fruit. The service is amazing and their happy hour can't be beat. If you like real sashimi and sushi, no need to travel downtown--Edojin in Cypress is amazing. read more

My daughters and I (the Dad) all enjoy sushi, but this is be far the SLOWEST place we go (there were only two other tables occupied when we got there, and it took nearly 45 minutes to get then first two rolls we ordered.) We actually left hungry tonight because (1) they've downsized their rolls and (2) we just didn't want to invest the time to order any more. For the first time ever, we brought a bottle of wine with us (they have been BYOB for a while, but we always just drank tea) and they now charge a $5.00 fee for this. I would be fully on board with that if they provided any service at all (like put the bottle in their cooler or something.) All we got were two glasses, both with lipstick on them. The sushi is still pretty good but, given the new reduced size, it's not a very good value in my opinion. The waitstaff isn't very attentive, but that might partly be because they have so much time on their hands to sit around waiting for orders to come out. read more

They have had a consistent staff there for years which really makes a difference in the service, people remember you and remember what you like to eat and they're always so friendly there. Haven't been here in a really long time. Not sure why. Everything was delish and very good service. Happy hour sushi until 7pm. The "tie me up" roll is VERY hot. My son can handle heat and he had to scrape off the topping. He had the Hawaiian roll after to help cool off. It was, as the server said, like a dessert roll. The sushi chef was very helpful and made some of the best rolls I have ever tasted. I got the shaggy dog and spicy girl rolls. Excellent.
