Ed's Place... best breakfast in town! Best tuna melt sandwich I've ever had. Best cole slaw, best sweet potato fries (or the regular fries), omelets to die for, pico de gallo to clear your sinuses (YUM!), and service that is great - attentive to keep you happy but not hanging over your shoulder all the time. The only restaurant I've been to where the wait staff didn't ask me "Is everything to your liking?" when my mouth was full! :) I am a regular at Ed's for all the reasons I listed above and more. My dog is a regular at Ed's, too (best bacon in town!), and we appreciate the outside tables so we can stop for breakfast (and bacon) while on our walks. Came here for breakfast, got the avocado, bacon & cheese omelette with hash browns and a side of biscuits and gravy. Our waitress was very sweet, and our food came out pretty fast. What I liked the most about the omelette is that they mixed in the avocado rather then just putting some slices on top. So every bite had a little avo in it! Nice. Coffee was ok. Nothing special. This place is very unassuming from the outside. However, the food is among the best in Glendora. I always go for breakfast and have enjoyed a variety of favorites. If their was a ten star button that would be what I chose for this excellent experience I had here at Ed's place. The speed of how fast they seat you, and bring out the food is phenomenal, and the food is like heaven on a platter. For standard "pancake and egg lovers" I'd recommend the breakfast delight, with eggs any style, any breakfast meat, and pancakes, waffles, or 2 slices of French toast. For omelette lovers, I'd recommend either the Denver omelette, or hobo omelette. Even for lunch the food is amazing. This place is perfect for families, or single parties. So I've been trying to give this place a second chance, third chance, and finally I gave it a fourth chance. Almost every single time my glass had a hair or piece of dirt in it. They got my eggs wrong a couple times as well. The staff is nice, but I feel like they could be more professional; gossiping about costumers right next to other customers just simply doesn't cut it. The food is alright; this last time I went the food was the best experience, but again, they always get one or two parts of the meal wrong. This place is very tiny and easy too miss but it is super cute and has very delicious breakfast and lunch items. It is fun to go and sit inside at a booth or the bar or to sit outside with our dogs. Just looking for a breakfasft diner on a Saturday to enjoy with my family. We actually almost missed the place because they change their window sign and the ED's sign is smaller, and it's covered by their well kown blue umbrella. When we got in, it was a very small diner and I felt a little weird, since I never really been to a small diner like that, that often. But once we got seated, and the waitress came over, she was very nice and helpful. I decided to order the BBQ Burger (recommended by the waitress) my wife got the steak, my daughter got the kids pigs in the blanket, mys son got the pancakes, and my mother in-law had the tuna salad. We visit Ed's place pretty much once a week nowadays. We were first brought to this restaurant for breakfast about 5 months ago and now we're regulars because of the perfect breakfast food, friendly staff and environment. I had breakfast at Ed's place this morning and man-o-man was it ever delicious. I ordered the chili cheese omelette with hashed browns and sourdough toast and I was really floored by the scrumptiousness of every bite. And I discovered the reason why the food is so very good here is because Ed the owner is ALWAYS in the kitchen and putting his heart and soul into each delectable dish. Just moved to Glendora, this was our first Breakfast place loved it ! Very friendly service.

My first impression was not very positive. A waitress half heartedly greeted us. She took our name and said she had no "clean" tables available and would let us know when one became available. No name tag ...it looks like she has a tat around her neck. She was busy getting back to chatting with a friend. Within a minute, another waitress (the pregnant one as mentioned in another review) asked if we were waiting to be seated. She seated us immediately, got our drinks and took our order. Plus 1 star to offset the negative star from my initial impression. We ordered corn beef hash and eggs and the smoked kielbasa sausage and eggs. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the corn beef hash was tasty. I prefer chunks of corn beef instead of minced corn beef. (but that's a personal preference) Hubby was not impressed with his Kielbasa sausage breakfast. He said the sausage had no flavor and you only get maybe 1/2 - 3/4 quarters of a regular single serving Kielbasa sausage. I guess this place beats the wait at Flappy Jack's, but doubtful we will be back. read more

I L-O-V-E this place. It's a hidden gem for sure in downtown Glendora. The service is so friendly, you feel like your eating with friends and family. McKenzie always takes care of us, if you happen to sit in your section, she will make you feel right at home. The best thing on the menu in my opinion is the eggs benedict and the pancakes. Ed's is one of the many eateries in downtown Glendora but it is a smaller space than most of the other eateries. I'm a frequent visitor for breakfast but I have not been for lunch. There's a wide selection at Ed's and I love to sit outside or at the counter for breakfast. The staff here are also pretty friendly and will always come and refill your coffee mug. One main reason I keep coming back is for the biscuits and gravy. Try it! read more

Being new to the area my husband and I wanted to try new places to call it our "regular go to place" so Ed's place was recommended to us. It's a great neighborhood and friendly atmosphere but once you walk into the place well it takes a turn left really quick and I don't know if they had a bad morning waking up or getting into work but these waiters and other staff members were really rude to each other and they brought a negative feeling when they were trying to serve or get your order I mean the food overall it was an OK nothing worth the wait but what really gets me upset is that when I paid for the food and I didn't tip yes I will say it I didn't tip they felt it was okay to tip them self's. When I checked my bank account the charge was more then what the recipe said I paid for. I didn't complain because surely they need the money more than I did but overall I wish I can give this place a zero and who knows maybe I'll get them for fraud. So watch out for this place they will take your money. read more

Right from the beginning I sensed this was not going to be a pleasant experience. I felt unwelcomed as soon as i walked in. I was completely ignored by the blonde waitress working in the front. I stood there for more than 5 minutes without any acknowledgement whatsoever, until finally the other waiter working with her noticed I had been waiting. He took my name down and told me it would be about a 15 min wait. So my husband & I waited with our 3 month old outside since the only seating available inside is for dining. Well more than 15mins went by and nothing, I ended going to my car to wait since it was getting cold quite cold outside for the baby, my husband continued to wait in front of the restaurant. Another 15 mins went by and still nothing soon after a random couple walked up and without even having to wait immediately got seated. My husband then walked in to ask why that couple had gone ahead of us and explained to her that we had been waiting for over 30 mins. The waitress told him that our name was not on the list. She insisted and insisted that we had not put our name down, and in the middle of the conversation another one of the waitresses working there walked up and clearly pointed out to her that our name WAS indeed on the list! All she had to say was that she had "accidentally" skipped us. No apology whatsoever! We immediately left after that. I have never been so angry and disappointed at the same time. Pretty good diner. The french fries are REALLY good. Crispy, just the right thickness. The Frisco burger is yummy. The use a sourdough cheese grilled bread as the bun and the patty is oval shaped to match the bread. The meat is very flavorful with a charbroil-y, grill-y flavor. Very good. I have also tried the Greek Goddess burger which has olives, feta cheese and a tasty dressing. Recommended! Try this place out. It's a hole in the wall location right next to the Beauty/Nail Salon and if you blink when you pass it, you'll miss it so keep your eyes peeled :) But you won't be disappointed. By far the best breakfast place in Glendora, and probably the best for some distance. Me and my friend have spent many a Sunday sampling the various breakfast diners of the IE and Ed's is one of the finest. Of all the diners in all the IE they make the very best chicken fried steak (and their biscuits and gravy are no slouch either). the food is great. i really love the vibe here between hearing the employees laugh, customers indulging in their own conversations. it's lively. i have been here a few times and have had the same waitress and the service is always crap. drinks forgotten, wait time for the waitress to come to us, our check, condiments and refills are everything is always forgotten. sad part is the two women that sit us, get out drinks and bring our food isn't the waitress themselves. it's busser/ hostess that takes their time to make sure we have good experiences here at ed's. everyone is very friendly but this particular waitress. we don't like her attitude or the way she speaks to others. i love this place. i wish the waitress cared more about their tables than standing behind the counter and chattering away when some of us are ready to order! kudos to the 2 hostess and 3 waitress that are very friendly! thank you for always being understanding and helping us get things we've asked for! read more
