For a wedding dress I don't even need anymore, I explained to 2 ladies what had happened and I don't need my wedding dress anymore. We had to wait for someone to meet with us to take us as a walk in only to be met with a woman who said we couldn't see dresses without an appointment. She said she was too busy and had already two appointments booked so she couldn't help us. Again, we couldn't LOOK at the dresses. Give me a break. This place has thee worst customer service I've ever experienced in any place. First walked in, was not greeted, and when the lady helped me, she was rude for no reason. Idk if it's bc she had a bad day, but I gave her no reason to be that way. The fitting and measurement happens and then she gave the receipt to the old man without telling me she was done. I followed her and she looked at me funny and was like, "oh go pay over there." Then I walk up to the old man and he asks for my card. He then swipes it without telling me what the total was. I had to look over the counter to see the price total for the deposit. He hands me the receipt and doesn't say anything. No thank you come again or nothing. I end up calling a few days later and asking to check the status of the fit. A man answered and asked , "when is the event?" I tell him its the upcoming weekend. He then says, "Oh yea it's ready." And just hangs up. He didn't even ask my name or info I picked it up that weekend, still no greeting when I walk in. This time I asked how much the total would be before handing the old man the card. He jokes and says "five hundred dollars." I just kind of laugh realizing he is joking around. But he still doesn't tell me the total! I had to look over the counter again to see. Then I return the suit and they dont give me the deposit back. They must have some really good deals for people to be supporting this place. Looking back this is kinda funny, but damn. The first thing that I have to say is that I love Eduardo. He's such a nice man and his smiling face is the first and last thing you see which, for me, is everything when i go shopping. The store is huge. The bottom floor is filled with formal gowns, tuxedos, and bridal dresses and the second floor is quinceanera dresses and even more bridal dresses. The prices are fantastic and they can order anything for you if you find something they don't have, which is rare. They have alterations and can dye shoes to match any dress. There are a lot of employees that help you find exactly what you're looking for and can give you a lot of options. I went in to get a formal dress and found exactly what I wanted. 2 recent very negative issues... 1- I called twice and an older man answered...He was impatient, rude and talked over me. I was somewhat confused by his attitude and trying to ask a question when he started talking down to me as well!! No customer, especially a paying customer deserves to be treated so disrespectfully! 2- In August 2019, I was quoted a definitive TOTAL price for a dress with tax, just over $800. I put a down payment of over $200 with the balance to be paid once the dress came in. In November the dress came and as I was paying the remaining balance, I was informed that there was an additional charge!! (it was small, but very sneaky and underhanded of the business! Just left there and was appalled at the horrible service. The old man up front was yelling and rude as hell. They dragged down another lady who was helping upstairs to help us. Felt so bad for her cause you could tell she was even afraid to ask up front for us to see if another dress was available. Take home message: 1) Eduardo's does offers suit and tuxedo rentals at a lower price than other rental stores. 2) You truly get what you pay for. Though rental costs are lower, Eduardo's suits and tuxedos are usually not name brand and are, therefore, of inferior quality and more worn out than their competitors' rentals. Pro tip: Spend roughly $50 more and go to a place like Rex's Formal Wear, where you will find cleaner and less ragged, higher quality, name-brand suits and tuxedos. I really wanted to give this business three stars because of the decent service and reasonable price (~$70 -- excluding $25 deposit -- for a black tuxedo jacket, pants, vest, shirt, bow tie, shoes, cufflinks, and studs), but after seeing a couple of permanent and irremovable shirt stains, the no-name suit brand, and improperly buffed shoes, I could not bring myself to do so. I understand that not everyone can afford to spend roughly $120 for a suit or tux rental, but I urge you to skimp on other things in order to look sharp at your special event. I give Edwardo's 2 stars for one reason. From the moment I walked into the store, till the moment I walked out, I laughed till my sides ached. We went in to look at bridal gowns, yet all we saw was what could be best described as rainbow colored clown clothes, and overgrown "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" style pagent wear. We wandered amongst the "human pinata" dresses for over ten minutes, yet never saw anyone that might work there. That was probably a good thing, because had anyone asked us if we needed help finding something, I would have laughed myself to death. The little Ms. never could find where they keep the white wedding gowns. I have decided to dress in drag for Halloween this year, and will masquerade as Cher circa 1973. Went to go get a fitting for my daughter tuxedo the man in the front was very rude old man siting in a rocking chair. When I was leaving for my first visit I'm putting a down payment on my daughters tuxedo he asked me if he could keep my deposit when I came back and I told him no I needed that money back. when I came back to get my refund for my daughter's tuxedo man give me a very bad attitude telling me if I had came back in a year I would still want my refund my daughter's event was on Saturday I went in on Wednesday to return it not even a week later this man was throwing my receipt around talking to his employers very rudely he was upset that I went back to get my deposit this place opens at nine and closes at five during the workday most of their customers are working people during those hours I was asked if I had anybody to return my daughters tuxedo and I replied to the lady I have no one else I am a single mother. HORRIBLE. Just plain HORRIBLE experience. I was the one in charge of my sister's wedding. We picked this place because of the prices and were crunched for time. Dresses were NOT the best but oh well, it was hard to decide on one type with bridesmaids, completely unflattering, but hey, those are bridesmaids dresses for you huh? We even had the groomsmen and young boys rent their tuxes there also. I have NEVER been to a business more unprofessional than this place. To begin with, when you ask for a certain dress they advertise or what the manikins have on, they browse through literally HUNDREDS of outdated catalogs they have in their store and can't even find it to "order" it. They don't have ANY sizes available. Then they'll give you a price, and when you're there to pick your dress up, it's a different price than what they said. Same with the tuxes. We were told a price and ended up paying MORE than what we were told. And of course if you're here, you obviously have a VERY important event such as a quinceañera/sweet 16, wedding, prom, etc. so they know when you're picking up, you're probably DAYS away from the event date, so you have no choice but to get it from there after they've "misquoted you". And the old man, I guess the owner- WOW. VERY rude. All I can think is he is maybe senile and should DEFINITELY not be running the store, and especially answering the phone. What he says makes no sense, but he does play the "poor me, little old man" image very well, then tries to charge you more money and not return deposits. Forget about calling the store because he answers all of the time and acts like he doesn't know what you're talking about and just hangs up on you. They make you PAY before you even try on the tuxes. The best man tried his on, it was too big and the old man said he HAD to take that one because he already walked around in the store in it!! Then when I went with my dad (who was the father of the bride) to return his rental tux, he was claiming my dad lied and that he wasn't going to get his deposit back because they had "applied it" towards some other BS charge and my dad was going to show him the receipt to prove that they didn't and the old man just yelled and said he didn't want to see it, got so mad, hit the counter with his hands and yelled at a worker "just give this man $25 already!!!" He was SOOO mad that he had to return a deposit! They make things VERY complicated for people. Won't be coming back here again. On the other hand, Norma who is in charge of the tuxedos was very helpful. And the old man talks to her like crap.
