BA Appliance Repair was sent to us through our home warranty company when our oven on our range…read morestopped heating. Repair guy seemed nice enough, looked inside and claimed our range was dual-fuel (I.e. stove was gas, oven was electric), and that BA didn't service these types. I was surprised - because although we didn't buy this appliance (we moved here less than 2 years ago), we always thought the unit was completely gas. Turns out we thought this, because it was completely gas. Confirmed by the repair guy who came from Day's, the appliance repair company that our home warranty company sent out when BA refused service. On a plus note, BA didn't try to collect a deductible for coming out (We wouldn't have paid it anyway if he did). But I'm not sure why the repair guy couldn't tell that our oven was in fact gas, or why they would make the effort to come out to refuse service to us. Have no idea what this was about. But I can guarantee I will ensure our home warranty company doesn't use these guys again for us, or we don't use them again on our own.

Don Bacon was #8 and a human answered the phone and booked a service call, a couple days later a tech showed up and DID EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO. I can't recommend this place and their level of customer service enough. When you have a household appliance go down it's not a matter of talking to a bunch of phone menus and middlemen companies just to MAYBE have someone from a subcontracted local company call you back (nobody did) - you need answers, when will it be done, and how much. However, we found out a few months later that they didn't put back 4 main screws in the frame. This caused extremely violent shaking during spin cycles. We were out of town for most of the warranty window so we didn't find out about this until it was too late. When we called them to say something seems to be broken after they came out, they said it was out of the window so it would be a normal service charge. We decided to use a different company since last time they didn't put our machine back together properly. The company that came out replaced the screws and fixed the shaking very quickly.

The issue was not resolved, but the technician left and told me everything was fixed without doing any meaningful checks to confirm it. After I called back because the appliance still wasn't working, they returned and told me they could continue repairs for several hundred dollars more, but that I should probably just buy a new appliance instead. In the end, I paid about $200 just to be told to replace the appliance. After I initially left a negative review, someone from the company contacted me and offered a partial refund for the first visit. That refund never happened. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience.
