Ok, this place has been closed for way too long already. When will they reopen so I can get their famous fried ribs and mac and cheese?

Stopped by this restaurant after a day spent at the Blk Ink Book Festival in City Park. This restaurant came highly recommended. Easy access to the restaurant once you exit, the outside was clean. Upon entering, we were greeted and immediately seated. The atmosphere was nice. It's a quaint place, not overly decorated, and the grays and browns make it nice and inviting. We had to wait for drink orders for some reason, the restaurant wasn't crowded so that was a little puzzling. Our server was friendly. She was knowledgeable about the menu, but she talked really fast, so we asked her to slow down a bit. She probably checked on us twice while we were there. The food was delicious! We started off with the wings. You get 3 nice size wings, so I guess it's a total of 6. They were very tasty. Not overly seasoned and was straight out of the grease bc they were steaming hot!! We had the cabbage with grilled catfish and cornbread. The cornbread was a nice piece, and it wasn't overly sweet, and it was moist. The grilled fish was the highlight for me. It had crispy edges and was seasoned to perfection. The cabbage was good, and it had a smoked taste. I'm guessing the meat was smoked. It's a different taste than I'm used to, but good. I enjoyed it. It wasn't fully hot, but we made it work. The restaurant was clean, and the restroom was also clean. It doesn't have stalls, so it's private. I would definitely revisit the restaurant to try other items on the menu. read more

If you are looking for homecooked soul food like grandma made it, well this is the place. I know Ms. Collins from my mother, so when I found out that she was the cook over here, I knew that the food would be good. This is a family owned business so you have the family working. The young ladies that were the host had a little play in them, that they could work on. The establishment was very clean and parking was great right in front the restaurant. Food was delicious, the service was horrible! We waited over 30 minutes before the waitress with an attitude came and took our drink order. People that came in after us was served faster! I-10 Service Road at Bullard in New Orleans east. Took my mom here Friday, and everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. The owner and his daughter, Pie (our server) came over shortly after we were seated. They were friendly and told us about the specials, and how some of the dishes are prepared. The funny part is an out of towner brought me to this place that is right in my community. I found the place to be noticeably clean and I was HIGHLY impressed with the customer service. While visiting with friends/family in New Orleans, we stopped by Eedos. Great food and great service. The seasoning was perfect not extra spicy, but just right. I ordered smothered okra, which OMG!!!!, was my Mom's okra soup recipe with the same ingredients; shrimp, crab, okra in a red sauce. I thought I was back home with my Mom in 2020 before she passed. I've visited the restaurant and it doesn't matter what I've ordered (red beans and rice, cabbage and rice, stuffed bell pepper, fried catfish or chicken, smothered okra and desert white chocolate bread pudding) the food is delicious. Food was delicious on Mother's Day. I had the pot roast gravy and rice with two sides, Mac& cheese and peas. My friends had fried fish , gumbo ,grill cheese sandwich and potato salad everything was good . They ran out of dessert but it was a busy day. Service was tolerable but good, it was a holiday. Me and my wife found Eedo's because she's the best when it comes to finding good food online based on reviews. When we first walked in, the owner greeted us but politely informed us that they had already closed for the evening. It smelled so good inside and I could tell my guy knew good food, so I explained that me and my wife were traveling from Texas to Florida and had found them based on their stellar reviews online. I asked him if he would mind giving me a recommendation for another place we could get some good food before we got back on the road. We chatted for a moment, and next thing I know my guy says "I'm the owner of the restaurant, we're gonna make you some food even though we're already closed." We gratefully accepted their offer and ordered the fried chicken with red beans and rice, the cornbread too. We also got the seafood platter with the oysters, shrimp, and catfish and the macaroni and green beans on the side. Y'ALL... This man Eedo and his Mama know flavors. Everything was about as good as we ever had, and we are from the south! The green beans are the best we've ever had, so smokey and delicious. The macaroni was fire, the red beans and rice made me feel like it's been too long since I went to church. All the food, everything we ordered was so good. I ordered the steak with Mac and cheese and green beans. The steak was cooked very well and seasoned perfectly. The Mac and cheese needed a little more salt but it was good. My co-worker friend told her about this place. I live in the east and I always tired to support the local businesses. We bought only appetizers but they were the bomb. The cup of gumbo was very tasty, fried ribs was very good and last but not lest the spinach dip was delicious. I enjoyed everything and the service was good. I had tried the stuffed peppers and the catfish platter which were very delicious. My order was takeout, however the hostess displayed great hospitality and the wait time was within a reasonable accommodation. It's such a nice cozy environment. I definitely wanted to give the restaurant five stars overall. The food is fantastic and fresh but there is room for improvement on the time it takes to the order to be taken and served. I have been there several times because the food is so good and I am hopeful they will get the one kink I noted resolved. This place started out awesome when it first opened, but the food is not consistent. After the first two visits it has continued to go down hill for me. I stopped eating here for awhile and decided after a few months I would try it again. Didn't enjoy the food at all. The steak was half cooked, the Mac & cheese was thick and gooey with too much processed cheese. It tasted like a cheap box brand, and the potato salad had too much mustard. The price point is high, but if the food is good, money is not an issue. If I ever eat here again, my food choices will ONLY BE A SANDWICH or the FRIED FISH.
