I literally hate this chain. I used to love it but even my wife has to pray they get my order right ...and they never do. It used to be like double meat not done...the major was no mayo but with double mayo, or my favorite white bread always when I order wheat. Ordinarily, I really like eegee's, but this location's service leaves something to be desired. It takes me about the same time to get to the one on Ina and Thornydale, so I'll probably go to that one next time I want eegee's. The eegee's slush itself is good, and watermelon (July flavor of the month) is the best. I don't order one often. I mostly come for a salad or sandwich, and the fries are pretty good, especially with their ranch. Yum. Their hot dogs and chili dogs are underrated, and those are also tasty and a good value for your money. I love the antipasto and chef salads, and they're always fresh, and I feel better about eating those. Came in on a Wednesday night, and though it wasn't busy, my fiance's food took a little while, and mine came out much sooner. He ordered the french dip, and it was cold. My sandwich was decent but seemed to be hastily put together, dry on one side, slathered with heavy mayo on the other. There were four or five workers behind the counter, seemingly no one above the age of 16, and they were all being kind of loud and horsing around. read more

Not sure if it was only one person working but unfortunately they were rude and the customer service wasn't great :(, i've worked in fast food and have had bad days as well but I've never treated customers that way. When certain products aren't on the menu, there's nothing wrong with telling the customer what is available in a polite manner. If corporate offices actually go down to their stores and show their employees the reviews then please check in with your management. A gem, that is it's own lovely gift to Tucson is Eegee's. They sell sub sandwiches, salads, fries, pretzels and hotdogs. Most importantly they have fresh fruit slushes called Eegees which are like Icee's from 7-11 only more awesome. I just love picking up a their drink, a Eegee with iced tea-the teagee. An especially super delight they have is their french fries with house ranch dressing, OMG! I just can recommend this place more highly. Plus it's a nice price. Hurray! read more

Had The monsoon dog, I believe it's a seasonal item. The hot dog was large and fat, had melted cheeses and a nice creamy buffalo ranch but it did not overwhelm! It had jalapeños but not too many to overpower the dog. The bacon and sliced tomato was a good addition. The combo really worked for my taste, then again I was really hungry when I ate it so it was...delicious. My hunger may have influenced my perception but I left satisfied. I'd get it again. Eegee's is one of the few places I MUST visit when I return to Tucson. Maybe it's the nostalgia of a cold Eegee on a scorching hot day during my childhood or maybe it's because they actually do have awesome sandwiches and the most amazing ranch dressing I have ever had! Either way, Eegee's has always kept me coming back for more! I prefer their sandwiches Grinder style and, unless the flavor of the month is Watermelon, I always go for the old school lemon Eegee. What can I say, I like it traditional! Usually, though, I come here for a quick snack in between meals and munch on their always yummy french fries with a side of their outrageously delicious ranch dressing. Seriously, this stuff is gold. I am always tempted to stock up on it and bring it back to San Diego with me but at $0.25 a pop that might end up being a little pricey! The poor service here has me sick to my stomach. I love Eegees, and it is so deeply upsetting when an establishment does not have a love for what they do. I'm absolutely appalled at the way we were treated. We came in an hour before they were supposed to close, and you can already tell the employees were not interested in being there anymore. With my busy hospital work schedule, I would like to come in earlier, but I simply cannot do this all of the time. I waited in the drive-through for over 15 minutes for my meal. 15 minutes for slop! They quite literally threw the sandwiches together. My fries? They dumped them into the bag. Not a single fry was in the container. Just dumped! We had to fish around for the things. You could just tell they were annoyed with us for even coming in. I paid for a cookie and didn't even get one. We had to go through the drive again and wait just along for one cookie. Just got home from going through the drive through. First off my fries were cold. But I ordered a 5 inch ham and cheese sandwich. Imagine my surprise when I open the bag and I have a hot dog and Mac and cheese. Clearly the receipt shows a hot dog and Mac and cheese but not what I ordered or even paid for. Sadly I was the only car in the drive thru so I can't even comprehend how this got so screwed up. When I called the store the woman who answered the phone seemed annoyed I. I had never heard of Eegee's because we don't have one in our city. So I looked it up online and yelp to see what it was all about. I actually got excited for this place, especially since they had a BOGO coupon online that I was able to use. Upon arriving, we had to park in a different lot because the drive through line was crazy and you weren't able to get a parking spot near there because the line was blocking them. We walked in and I immediately didn't like the way it looked inside or the atmosphere. They only have about 5 flavors for their icy drinks and we got a sample of a couple but felt really rushed. The worker had stained red fingers which was disturbing. He wasn't wearing gloves. My drink was extremely sour and I didn't like it. I feel like I could've gotten a better icy from the corner store. The food is amazing along with getting an eegee! The prices are reasonable but understand that it may not be the best fast food place to go. The new update has made the place a lot more welcoming and bright! The people are very slow and sometime are hard to work with. The managers are always uptight when you try to talk to them about something that you feel is wrong. Drive though is very fast though. It gets very busy on weekends since it's a very popular place. Went inside and a family ahead of me had ordered a large order. After they ordered the cashier took my order and after I paid he immediately went on to the next person behind me. I ordered two small drinks so I was fine him helping someone else before me. Then... someone else came and he helped them. I'm a patient person so no big deal. BUT! The customers after me were helped first and given their orders before me (which were bigger than mine). I asked the gentleman if my drinks were coming and he said "Oh yes coming up". So he brings me ONE drink and it was wrong. So I asked is this a strawberry and pina? He said oh no this is for the man behind you?? I guess there was a man that had ordered that I didn't see. Well I just touched your drink dude because it was given to me. So where are my two drinks?? "Coming up"! Then I get a strawberry and pina one which is correct BUT where is my other drink??? Oh oh its COMING UP. Holy moly guy there are 6 people in this place and you can't give me two drinks?! So he stands there staring at me then asks. What was the other drink? FINALLY I get both my drinks and go back to the car. Come to find out the last one was wrong. Totally not cool and so irritated. I love Eegees but had a terrible experience here. 1st time visit at this location, other locations we give 5 stars. We Ordered 3 grinders with extra veggies they were great, drinks are always awesome and refreshing. But we ordered chilli cheese Fry's and the Buffalo salad and both were disgusting. I even returned the Buffalo salad with weird color chicken processed chunks. It looked old. Manager was less than apologetic but gave a refund $7. The chilli cheese fries used to be better. This is the only eegees that makes you pay for extra house dressing. If I get a 12inch sub I would like to have 2 house dressing one for each half. I wish I could put negative stars. I went inside the restaurant instead of going through the drive thru. I ordered a singular drink, a flavor that was listed on the menu, and had it repeatedly back to me incorrectly 3 times. It then took more than 15 minutes to receive my drink after I had ordered it. This was the only thing I had ordered and there were more than 10 people working. Everyone moves incredibly slow. There were only a handful of other people inside and drive thru was at its normal length. Groups of 3 were getting drinks delivered to them one by one, followed by napkins one by one. When is a chain not a chain? When it is a local institution up against the giant Subway's of the world. If you live in Tucson and you want a fast-food sandwich, you should be going to Eegee's. A sandwich is a sandwich. And frankly on that count, they are about the same as Subway. They have a decent selection of various sub sandwiches. But that's not really why you go. First, you have the Eegee frozen slushes. These alone are worth the price of admission, although I wish they'd add a couple of the "flavors of the month" to the full time menu. But I guess that's part of the appeal. The other thing that always brings me back, are the pizza fries. French fries, marinara sauce, cheese, and oregano. Yummy. This is a great Eegee's, a VERY busy Eegee's, but they have a high turnover rate with customer serving and seating so the crowd is never an issue.....UNLESS you park in their tiny parking lot. The drive-thru line often backs up into the main parking area, blocking in customers who went inside and are now trying to leave. You seriously need a shoehorn to get in and out of that lot, so we usually just park across the street. We went around lunchtime and a lot of the tables were dirty, but RIGHT as I noticed (and wrote my Quick Tip!) someone came out and wiped them down. Great local chain! read more

I get an original grinder and ask that the house dressing be put on the side so when I finally get to eat my sandwich it won't be soggy.
