I have love Eegee's since I was little. I've been ordering the same thing since the 80's. I get an original grinder and ask that the house dressing be put on the side so when I finally get to eat my sandwich it won't be soggy. Eegee's is a classic Tucson institution. Of course you have to get the namesake Eeegee slush/drink when you come. The fries and ranch are the best in the city. usually it's not bad, the drive through and parking is absolutely ridiculous but they weren't the ones who picked the design for that, and it's 100+ in Arizona so obviously people want a cold Eegee's. Yesterday i went in to order cause the line in the drive thru was stupid and i was trying to hurry for work. I was scheduled at work at 3:30(my job is 5 minutes away) i got to Eegee's at 3:07... didn't leave till 3:26 ...and i ordered a medium flavor of the month and ranch fries... TWO items ... one cashier running the few people in line and the guy in front of me was ordering a catering for the weekend.. so he took 5 minutes to set that up, other employees just kept looking at the line but not coming up to help. no one said anything about "well be right with you" nothing. I went in to be helped faster yet the line in the drive thru that was literally going out the parking lot was serviced before me and there were 2 people in front of me in line inside .. better yet, i got the drink and fries TO GO and the fries were sitting on the back table where they put it to call out for dine ins, for I'd say 3 minutes. Someone finally came to "bring them out" called my name and i explained they were to go. Couple things went wrong on my visit here. I went to the drive-thru line on a Sunday early afternoon (peak time). Their parking lot is super small and the long drive-thru line goes across it. So many people had to wait a long time just to drive out of the lot. Tip: park on the other lots (if it's allowed) and just walk instead of being blocked in. When I got to the order window, there is a problem with their microphone. I had to repeat myself 3 times and that's every time I said something. Besides the food, I was looking most forward to getting the lemonade but they ran out. I'm from California and we don't have Eegee's there. I'm only in Tucson once a year and this is the second time in my life going to Eegees. First time I tried their lemonade, it was the best ever. But on this visit, instead I had to settle for a strawberry (which was still good). Other than that, the sandwhich was good and fries with ranch was delicious. read more

I had never heard of Eegee's before but was told I must go. What is an Eegee? It's a delicious icee/smoothy/snow cone concoction that can't be explained but must be tried. Pina colada with real coconut and strawberry were my favorite flavors. The perfect way to cool off on a hot Arizona day, even in the middle of January. What a CHEAP A$* move to charge for side dressing. Had an order of 4 sandwiches which usually get 2 per sandwich nothing excessive. Well now it's one per order and an additional 25cents per. Good sandwiches, the bread is good, ranch fries good but something we can make at home. Slurpees are the best ! I like the strawberries my girl loves the watermelon. This eegees can show improvement. You can tell they dont use team work. As im standing at the register one employee is looking for a manager to start, someone else comes up gets it started for him and walks away the register next to that one has a young lady working she looks at his drawer and says he(the guy that started the register) shouldnt have done that and tells the guy working at the register he could get fired for having whatever amount in his drawer. My order is also incorrect almost everytime i go in there. They need some better training and learn team work. read more

Although the food is always delicious at any eegees I go to, the staff was soooo rude. The girl taking my order for some reason couldn't hear me and was very rude after asking me to speak up or pull closer, I had to turn my car off for her to hear me. Upon receiving my food, the manager was extremely rude as well. I used to love this location but it seems as if the staff isn't as friendly as I remember. read more

Eegees is an icon in Tucson, and it was once one of the best sandwich places in town, but their sandwiches have dropped in quality and taste over the years. It is now way overrated. Get any of the straight servings, and it is mostly the bread and lettuce that you will taste but it will still be on a mediocre bun. The only way to save the flavor is order heavy meat but that still doesn't save the lackluster bun. Just a bit better than Subway, if you order heavy, but not by much, unless you stick with the italian ice.They are always primo, tasty and worth the trip. Parking at this location is a real pain and poorly designed. read more

I would love to give it more stars but there are a few things that detract from higher ratings. One is the parking situation that is terrible. We had to park in a different lot just to get in there. I know they can't do much now but I would think they can modify the way the curbs are to make more room if you are not going through the drive through. It really sucks and makes you want to go other places. Even though the bread is fresh, I think it has grown fatter with less meat in the sandwiches since the new owners took over. They need to thin down the buns. Also, when you walk in the place it is pretty hard to find out where you go to order. It is sort of like a free for all until the counter person asks if they can assist you. Would be better if it had some either lines or markings on the counter to show you where to order. read more

This is more of a two and a half star review. Last week, my husband and I stopped in to grab something to eat after driving around all day in Phoenix and then in Tucson. I thought that maybe they were closing and that's why the service was just so-so. It was only 8:30 and according to this, they close at 11pm. So, now I just don't know what their problem was. Everything was fine until we were sitting eating and three or four employees (one who was off the clock and packed up to leave) were hanging around talking about this, that, and the other. It wasn't bad, just awkward to know that much about a stranger's afterwork plans, haha. Also, the girl who was taking the order that night just seemed unenthusiastic about well.. anything. I love eegees!!! The pretzels are gross but everything on the menu besides that are pretty decent.

The service was TERRIBLE ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE if you want to wait 20 plus minutes for someone to help you while everyone just sits around doing nothing. The kid working the register was working his ass off but his co workers were watching him as he was taking care of someone else. Then i wanted to double the meat not sure if they did or not. My wife said that her sandwich wasn't that good. I also waited a long time for the guy to make it. WARNING if you like waiting and bad service and mediocre food go here. read more

This review is late in being written, but I drive by this place daily and have a flash back every time. About a month ago, I was famished but needed to get to an appointment nearby. I had wanted to try this place for awhile, so I figured this was my chance. What a disappointment. The parking lot is cramped and difficult to navigate with other vehicles coming and going. My BLT consisted of two soggy pieces of bacon slapped down the crease of a tough roll, a few minuscule pieces of diced tomato, and a heap of lettuce all stuck together with about a jar of mayo. (It was really more of a lettuce and mayo sandwich than a BLT.) Gross. Most tables were dirty, so I had a hard time finding a place to sit. Not at all impressed. Won't be back. read more

I have 5 captain cards. I eat at EEGEES all over Tucson. This one is the best. (Their parking lot is horrible).

This is THE WORST Eegee's location I've been to. Almost every time I have been here, my order has been totally wrong. And rather than working on fixing the problem by having employees slow down for accuracy or coming up with a double check system or something, all they want to do is give a free meal. That's great and I appreciate it, but it definitely doesn't fix the problem. Not to mention the make up sandwiches have sometimes been the wrong sandwich. I've been to multiple other Eegee's locations in town and they have always been accurate with my order. Also, I've noticed that a size small fries at other locations is the same amount as the large at this location. I'm not sure what's going on at this particular Eegee's but it's definitely not good. read more
