Once the food started coming out we had to ask multiple times for food that was missed to the point we took two full orders to go as we had been there for over 2 hours by the time the last of the food had been brought out. Instead of a manager coming and talking to us, apologizing or even acknowledging the very poor experience we were given a ticket at full cost of $112 and hustled out the door. Not sure what the issue was, but the failure was on the entire staff management, cooks, servers all failed miserably. My trip to the Egg Crate started with the wonderful new decor. The paintings were by two local artist's. The lighting was bright and cheery. The waitress was prompt and polite. The staff was really friendly and attentive without being "there" all the time, just right. I had the pan fried catfish dinner. It was fantastic. The breading was really great. I wish I could cook that kind of breading at home. It came with a nice huge portion of "crispy" fries that I just love. I had their dessert which was made by "Connie's Cookies". It was really great. I wonder why "I" have never heard of these deserts before.Everything was reasonably priced for such a nice restaurant. I'd say that I will definitely be back, with the food and the atmosphere, it felt really comfortable and laid back. Best dinning experience I've had in a while. read more

My wife and I deciede to eat here labor day and the hostess was VERY VERY Rude. She was wearing an Egg Crate shirt, maroon or Red glasses black hair and I think her name might be Debbie or Debra. I do understand that it does gets busy but if she can't handle people asking question without having an attitude then maybe she should work in the back throwing the trash out!!!!!! She needs to realize that the way to keep your doors open is by people paying to eat at this facility.. Maybe the owner should evaluate here personal skills, oh wait maybe she is the owner.
