Yum. The strawberry blueberry crêpes were good. The bacon was good. The sausage was good and the strawberry banana French toast good. It wasn't crowded on a Sunday when we came. We would totally come back.

Lot of menu options. Really good food. This is a breakfast place as you may have guessed from the name and as such, there are a lot of items to choose from. Everything ordered in our party (5) looked really good and was enjoyed by everyone. Would definitely come back.

Made a stop in on my typical weekend breakfast with friends. I will say you can get very busy here. So try to plan accordingly the food is great and the atmosphere was that of a nice breakfast diner. It felt clean with the wait staff being tentative.

Had pick up to go. Unfortunately, the chorizo made the sandwich a little greasy which happens a lot with chorizo. The taste was great! Kids french toast sticks were a hit! Can't go wrong with the juice, especially as a mimosa!

I was looking for a place to stop for a late breakfast before a drs appointment on a weekday around 10:45am and stumbled in. Parking was kind of tight as it appears multiple establishments use the same parking lot. Parking was a 3 hour limit. I was seated promptly and a server took my drink order pretty quick. As a tea drinker I was QUITE impressed by the tea. They had a selection of teas on the menu...really shocking...and I settled on the English breakfast classic. It arrived hot in a mini tea cup with lemon and melted honey. It was great! For breakfast I ordered the burrito with potatoes and fruit. Also amazing. My server was sweet as could be and so polite. Overall great experience!

Very friendly waiter, quick service, and excellent food. They just redid the inside and it is very modern and aesthetic. You have to check out the coffee bar/cafe in the front! The fruit was super fresh and the breakfast was perfect.

This is the first time I went to egg harbor and I didn't really care for it cause it's a chain but I couldn't of been any more wrong. Great service and great food! Can't beat it! Both servers attending us were so helpful with the menu, had patience and managed to serve multiple tables no problem. A simple smile goes a long way and they both had that going which we appreciate.

My husband and I were in the area early in the morning and saw this place had great food. We were seated right away and got some coffee and ordered the roast beef skillet and the santorini scrambler along with classic French toast. Everything was good, the potatoes were a bit dry, but other than that I give this place 4/5 stars. Glad we came at 8am, as we were leaving, the place started to get real busy. Will definitely recommend Egg harbor cafe.

Finalllllly found a breakfast place in the greater Chicago area (aside from Buttermilk which is so far) that aimed to please! I ordered takeout via an app and my order was ready right on time - to the minute. The front host was very polite and prompt. I ate in my car and everything was packaged so well, separately and easy to access. I ordered the chicken egg white omelette sub red peppers for mushrooms and goat cheese for mozzarella. Ok I LOVED that on the app you could choose "swap with..." I've never seen that before and it was so easy to get exactly what I wanted with no up charge! The omelette was great! I scarfed it down. Came with fruit and a whole wheat English muffin, all standard. I wasn't super impressed with the jam but that's no big deal. I also ordered the lemon poppy seed pancake on the side, which was very reasonably priced. I loved that you could choose to add one, two, or a stack. Great great ordering options!! The pancake was delicious! Overall, super excited about Egg Harbor. It will definitely be a new staple for me.

We went here after joining a July 4th - 5k Run. This is one of the best place to have morning breakfast in Elmhurst downtown. Service is awesome, waitstaff are very attentive. Ambiance is good too. Sometimes, parking finding a parking in this place is hard. But overall its a great place

Super cute place, really good food. I came here with my cousin who highly recommended it. We both ordered the avocado toast with two eggs and were happily satisfied even though my eggs were a little overcooked. Service was great. Ambiance was great. Prices were incredibly fair. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town.

This aesthetic of this place is homey. The food was good but there wasn't much variety for it being a breakfast place. The service is decent. The food took forever to come out and the waiter kept forgetting my strawberry orange juice. But maybe it was a busy day. I probably won't be coming back here only because of the lack of variety from the menu. However, it is a good place to check for the first time!

If you order a double espresso, be prepared for 2 single shots of espresso. At least the cups were cute.

Egg Harbor recently received a facelift, and I was excited to check it out. I have been craving French toast for ages, so I figured it was time to satisfy the craving. The new decor is cute, very on trend with other breakfast restaurants in the area. The server was nice, although the service was slow (not terrible for a busy Saturday, I guess). I ordered the classic French toast, a side of bacon, and a double espresso. When the espresso came out, I laughed because it was 2 single shots of espresso in two separate cups. It tasted good, however, and it wasn't bitter at all. The French toast was terrible. The egg wasn't absorbed by the bread at all, so what I got was sweet scrambled egg on top of brioche bread. I couldn't even eat one slice without giving up. The bacon was standard bacon, albeit underdone for my taste. If you want crispy bacon, you'll need to ask for it. Overall, with so many other breakfast options in Elmhurst, I will pass on Egg Harbor next time.

I started with the Solstice Spritz -- he mentioned it was on the sweeter side, and it honestly had the perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. Not overly sugary, just really well done. For an appetizer, we got the best (in my opinion), the wild mushroom toast. This location uses softer bread compared to others, and the appetizer had a slight kick to it that made it even better. Definitely a standout dish. I also tried the espresso martini, which was made with Baileys. It was strong but good -- smooth with that rich espresso flavor coming through. For my entrée, I had the butternut squash risotto. It was okay, but I felt like it could've used a bit more sauce or an extra layer of flavor. I ended up adding more parmesan, which helped elevate it a little. The inside of this location is really nice -- different from the other locations I've been to, but in a good way. The ambiance definitely added to the experience.

The restaurant itself is stylish and inviting, which makes it a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a meal. Some dishes were flavorful and well presented, while others didn't quite live up to expectations. Service was friendly, but the pacing felt a bit uneven, especially during busier moments. Portions were reasonable, though not especially memorable for the price. Overall, GIA MIA - Elmhurst is a decent option for a casual Italian meal, but more consistency in the kitchen would make a big difference.

Even the drinks in the cooker area were very interesting that I had never seen before. It's very clear that this is a very well thought out restaurant. The only feedback I would give is to add a couple of options for vegan gluten free in the menu. My wrap had to be customized and communicating with the chef was a bit of a challenge due to language.

Zenwich - Tasty Food, Lacking Warmth…read more My family and I recently visited Zenwich and tried a little bit of everything--two sandwiches and two rice bowls. Let's start with the good: the sandwiches were delicious, with standout bread that really elevated the meal. While I wouldn't go out of my way to make a special trip just for them, they were definitely enjoyable and well-executed. The rice bowls earned a solid 7.5 from my husband and son. Flavorful and filling, but maybe missing that little extra something to make them truly memorable. Where Zenwich unfortunately fell flat was the customer service. We visited around 5 PM on a Friday and there was only one person working. Not only were we not greeted when we walked in, but we stood at the counter for several minutes without even being acknowledged. I even saw another customer politely thank the staff member after asking for a napkin, and he didn't so much as look up in response. It left the whole experience feeling impersonal. If the service matched the quality of the food, this would've easily been a four-star visit. With just a bit more effort in the hospitality department, Zenwich could really shine.

More importantly, does it offer the kind of service, ambience, and experience that would make you want more? I would say 151 kitchen and bar in Elmhurst does meet those expectations. On a recent work night celebration with colleagues, we ended up here for a nice dinner. Beautifully outfitted, the service was spot on, and the food was for the most part really good. Key points for me for the honey and ricotta with bread - absolutely excellent! I ordered the Atlantic salmon, which came on a bed of tiny potatoes and broccolini absolutely what was expected, the flavors were indicative of light seasoning, and I can truly say I loved it. Needless to say, the food was fantastic. You can see the photo of my entrée below? It looks very inviting right? And indeed it was. One of my colleagues was kind enough to let me take a picture of his chicken bowl - which is below as well - and he pronounced it as pretty good. Coming from him that is high praise, indeed! The tomato bisque soup I had as an app? Pretty delicious - the only concern I would indicate was that it was just a tad too sweet, but otherwise it was served at the perfect temperature, and really hit the spot. Nicely done! Let me start by saying that we're a huge fans of small businesses and want to see them succeed…read more I've also worked in plenty of restaurants and coffee shops in my day. Definitely not trying to be a hater. My friend and I were on our way home from Chicago, looked up some bakeries along our route. We stopped here to get some goodies to take home to family, and to snack and have a coffee while we drove 6 hours. My friend ordered: white chocolate coconut latte, 2 donut holes, a strawberry, a salted caramel, and a pink velvet cupcake. I ordered: chocolate pretzel iced latte, a big chocolate chip cookie, tropical fruit (?) danish, coconut, pink velvet, and French silk cupcakes. I'd say between the two of us we probably spent $60+? Walking in the shop is adorable and colorful, an employee had a brightly colored tie dye shirt on and we said hello to them first, commented on how much we liked their shirt, and barely got a response back, let alone a greeting. The employee at the counter wasn't rude but definitely not overly eager to greet or offer up information. Questions were answered when we asked, that was it. When I received my iced latte I asked if they had any straws and just got a head shake in response. Totally fine with no straw, but my friend found a stir stick for me, which was honestly the main reason I wanted a straw so I could stir up what was clearly sitting on the bottom of the cup. Lattes were fine. We tried the chocolate chip cookie in the car and the texture was good, crispier on the edges and the middle was chewy enough. But it tasted very bland, so we didn't finish it. A little while later we decided to try the donut holes, they had good flavor but they were so dry and crumbly, presumably because they were sitting out in the open air, who knows for how long. Also didn't finish those. Even later we decided to try the salted caramel cupcake because I'd read on the case that they had Swiss meringue buttercream so I was really excited about that, and thought for sure this would be where they would excel. While the flavor of the cake was fine, I wouldn't say it tasted like salted caramel, there was some kind of cream in the middle that was good, again not salty or caramely. But that was the heaviest, most dense cupcake I've ever had, and not in a good way. The buttercream was good, and the caramel drizzle on top did taste salty. My husband was so excited that I was bringing home that tropical fruit danish and the coconut cupcake. We tried the coconut cupcake together and again, it had a lot of actual coconut in the batter, it was dense but also dry. We abandoned the cake and ate buttercream, which was good but not coconutty. So we moved onto the French silk cupcake. This cake had a great texture, light and soft, good flavor, some kind of chocolate mousse in the middle was good too. Again, good buttercream, but the top had a bunch of dry, flavorless pie crust chunks all over it. I understand that it was supposed to mimic a French silk pie, but it was such a good cake without the crust chunks. My husband had his pastry today (next day) and though dry he said the middle was good, other than the pineapple in the middle he couldn't taste any other flavor. We tried the pink velvet after dinner tonight and again with the super heavy and dense cake texture, no real flavor, but the cream cheese frosting was yummy. I cannot say how the other cupcakes were, as my friend was so disappointed in the one we shared and the report we gave her about the ones we tried, that she hasn't eaten them. Ultimately the French silk one was the only item that was eaten completely. Keep making that buttercream, it was the best part of everything we bought. I sincerely hope your employees weren't having a hard day, I try to be understanding that you never know what someone is going through, but that's the only reason I can think of for them to be so completely disinterested in helping or talking to paying/tipping/polite customers.

Tried the dirty chai for the first time and dare I say it may be better than a certain local coffee shop's. I do think $22 for a sandwich and coffee is a bit expensive, but I'm always very satisfied with my meal. It does come with a large side of home fries, but I usually end up not eating them, so I'd love to see more side options to choose from. Also had cupcakes catered a few months back including some gluten free options and they were all a big hit. Definitely on the expensive side, but they were good quality and absolutely devoured. The environment is always welcoming and open plus the staff are very kind.
