Doesn't get much better than this for breakfast or lunch. Menu has lots of unique items along with traditional fare and healthy choices. The breakfast potatoes are diced and sautéed and a nice change from hash browns, coffee is served in pottery mugs and hot teas are brewed with loose leaf tea. At lunch they have a variety of salads and sandwiches that are a welcome change from a typical burger option and, my favorite, the Door County Chicken Salad is offered as either a salad or sandwich. This egg harbor used to be one of our favorite restaurants but today was a really poor experience for the second time in this month, Dawn did a great job , don't lose her , but I can think of 5 restaurants in that area that are better and a lot more reasonable, what a shame $30 with tip , two people for eggs and pancakes and coffee . I'm definitely a fan of this place! One of my favorites in the area to get breakfast! The restaurant is very busy on the weekends, but the food and service are still outstanding. The best is when you can eat outside when the weather's nice so you don't have to deal with the noisiness inside. Their harbor scramble is one of my favorites. The diced potatoes topped with cheddar cheese, tomatoes, and bacon. So yummy and not at all greasy! All ingredients tastes very fresh compared to other breakfast restaurants I've been. I also like getting their belgian waffle and I have them add in chocolate chips with a side of whipped cream! So good and the waffle is nice, light and fluffy! read more

Excellent mouth watering food. I try ordering different items every time I go, and there's never a miss - all good. Same with family and friends, they all love it. Everyone is happy and friendly and never act bothered if you request something, even when they are slammed. Avoid the after church crowds on Sunday, the lines are brutal. Best breakfast place around. Food is very fresh - portions are generous. Staff is attentive and welcoming - without being overbearing. I love everything about this place. I can modify any menu item without issue. Their fruit is very fresh and any fruit cup/bowl has apples, oranges, pineapple and a mixture of berries - all very fresh!! Ingredients for egg dishes are varied and there are plenty of cheese options - including blue and goat cheese. We are Sunday regulars here - and will be for years to come! read more

I went here with a girlfriend who is a late riser, and likes breakfast about the time I want lunch. I'm not that big on breakfast, and wasn't really thrilled to be going here. I have to admit- I was pleasantly surprised. I had a great selection for lunch, and loved my meal. It was a chicken salad, and delicious. The décor here is very cute- a lot of rooster knick-knacks. Our server was a young man, and very attentive and personable. The place was clean, bright and pleasant. I would definitely return again, to this one or another that they have elsewhere. EGC in Geneva is consistently good, and the service is always excellent. With all the new restaurants for breakfast opening up, I forgot about this gem. While I am not a fan of the over-rated Buttermilk, friends wanted to try it. We went a few Saturdays ago, and was told by the hostess that the wait was an hour and a half!?!?!?!?! Not! Who waits 1 1/2 hours for FOOD?!?!?!? Anyway, we remembered Egg Harbor and are glad we did. They offer wonderful, delicious options, and I will gladly say I will never try Buttermilk again. Not to mention, our breakfast was not over-priced, like the other place. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive and the food came out quickly. I highly recommend this place for breakfast and the mugs are adorable and you can buy them in the shop. The coffee is GREAT! This is our local Egg Harbor Cafe and, unfortunately, it's our least favorite. That's not to say it isn't good...every meal has been enjoyable and the service is friendly. However it's the little things that are missing. The coffee (which still is claimed to be from Intelligentsia) is just not as good, the to go cup lids are the cheapest possible lip-cutting plastic, the interior design is more generic, the biscuits are not lightly toasted, etc. I can actually go on, but then I'd show too much of my OCD side. In summary, it's still a very good breakfast place but it's not up to the usual Egg Harbor standard. read more

I live in the Geneva area and I figured it was about time to leave a review for my favorite breakfast place around Egg Harbor! While there are many good breakfast places around such as Burnt Toast and Alexanders, to me this is the best one. Egg harbor is always busy but they are usually able to get you seated in a decent amount of time because of the large restaurant and they normally get people in and out pretty quickly. The service always seems to be good and the atmosphere is really nice! Coffee or hot Chocolate is the way to go here for beverages. When I go I normally get one of the skillets and I am always satisfied because the portions are big and the food is very very good every single time. Great place for anyone to come to. This is the best breakfast in the area and I 100% recommend. read more

Healthy. Delicious. Friendly. Affordable. Those are the terms that come to mind when I think of Egg Harbor. It's a breakfast and Lunch place where almost all entries are around $10. The skillets are notable, and you can even make your own. Most recently, I had a protein wrap that had egg whites, quinoa & black bean patty and other delicious, filling ingredients with a side cup of fruit. I also had a side of Pink Lemonade which was fantastic and came with a huge carafe for refills. YUM! Also you really can't find a place with nicer, attentive wait staff. Egg Harbor is an egg-celent choice for breakfast or late lunch!! The skillets combined with the pancakes is a great pair! They melt the butter on pancake and allow you to slather as much syrup on it as possible. I highly recommend this location. The service is great. The delicate mood and lighting is great for the morning. The full pot of coffee to share with the table allow you to enjoy conversation without the constant interruption of refills. Before going to Egg Harbor, try and clear your head to allow yourself to fully enjoy the smells and just release you energy for the day. I enjoy Egg Harbor for what it is: a casual, country-kitsch brunch place that provides quick service and big portions. I have always enjoyed the food I have had at Egg Harbor - usually an omelet or some eggs, or their fantastic San Diego turkey burger with cholula mayonnaise. Most items, including the burgers, are served with potatoes, which could always use more seasoning. Yet the portions are very large - usually more than one person can manage - so it's unlikely you'll go home hungry! I can't give Egg Harbor four stars because frankly, the quality and creativity of the food here is average. It's good, but it's not great. It certainly doesn't compare to the kind of brunch served at Nosh down the street. But hey, sometimes you just want some eggs and bacon, and that's where Egg Harbor makes for a great stop. That said, however, I do get extremely annoyed at the service at Egg Harbor. They are always trying to get customers in-and-out as quickly as possible, and I often feel rushed. Today, for example, the waitress asked me if I wanted a box for my salad, just two minutes after my meal arrived at the table! Later, the table was cleared and cleaned while I was still standing next to it, putting on my jacket! Unfortunately, these are common occurrences - it is rare to be asked by the waitstaff how your meal tastes or if you want/need anything else, which means you typically have to flag someone down if you're in need of extra napkins. And the staff is usually so eager to get people seated that they'll put two patrons in a table big enough for six, rather than making them wait. Perhaps some of you appreciate that you're given the very first table that becomes available, but I would rather a big family have that table for six than just my husband and I. Still, Egg Harbor is a hopping place in Geneva, and one I frequent with pleasure. You probably won't be disappointed dining here! read more

We came for Mother's Day breakfast. I was worried about my choice with my first interaction. There were 2 young girls at the hostess stand outside and they were rude to say the least. There was no greeting, just a "how many?!?". Yes, they were busy but it's not a reason to lose your manners. I simply said "We have 3, what is the wait time?". I got a giant sigh, an eye roll and a "40-45 minutes. Do you want to leave your name or not?!".. I asked if my group was ok with the wait, and I said "Yes" and gave our name. They shoved a pager in my hand. I then asked "how far does the signal reach?" We are going to get coffee" and they responded "If you want a table, you better not go far. The pagers aren't working and we are just shouting names!!".. I simply responded with an "ok" but I wanted to ask why they were even bothering giving pagers if they don't work. Either way, we chanced it, and went to a coffee house while we waited. We came back and waited about 25 minutes more, which is fine. Then a 3rd girl came up (short with dark hair) calling my name, and she was incredibly sweet and welcomed us and apologized for the wait and the pager issues. From there our experience only went up. The guy who sat us was very friendly and our waitress was a sweetheart. We ordered more coffee, juice and our meals. They all came quickly and were delicious. We had an omelette and a skillet that were both delicious and a large portion. The last person got the lemon french toast on special, and it was incredible. I seriously want the recipe. The price for everything was very reasonable. Overall it was a great experience. I don't know how those girls got their jobs outside, but I hope they either get a reality check of how to speak to people in general, and customers to boot. read more

Sad decline of a formerly great place for consistently good food. The quality of food has been declining the last couple of years. The chicken and wild rice soup last two times ordered was inedible. The melts are still good, eggs hit or miss. The worst part though is the awful odor inside the restaurant. It has increasingly gotten worse to the point that we won't dine in anymore. The food was good - I had their Irish Oatmeal which was very good - they leave a container of coffee at your table which was very nice as well. Went for breakfast a few weeks ago and thought it was great. Has indoor and outdoor seating for the nicer weather! Restaurant was crowded seeing that it was Sunday morning but got in earlier than the wait time they told us when we checked in. My girlfriend got eggs Benedict and thought it was good. I had a special which was a Mexican omelette. It had a mix of bacon avocado and pepper jack cheese with peppers. It was awesome and I would go back for it. Went there for brunch-to-go on Mother's Day! It was excellent! I have no idea how Egg Harbor managed in the face of a HUGE onslaught of customers! -- but they did and brunch was its usual terrific! They were busier than any restaurant I've ever seen! That's a really tough challenge in normal times, let alone in this new hopefully temporary CV-19 fiasco -- but somehow they managed. Orders were coming out in quick succession from a friendly team of people running orders out to cars and to customers who came to the lobby. While terribly busy, the EH crew were friendly and professional -- despite a couple real unreasonable cranks that looked like they were cocked to the pissed off position already when they arrived. There is no pleasing some people. And some of these "door dashers" are among the biggest tools I've ever seen -- rude and nasty! I won't be using them anymore. For the most part, people could see the crowd and appreciated that the Egg Harbor crew were doing their best with haste and coping well in this crazy lockdown - and in the rain! We waited a little while, but so what? Our brunch was terrific! Can't wait to go back! Great work, Egg Harbor!! read more
