    Strawberry matcha latte
    Courtney T.

This location is tucked into a quiet shopping center, the service was efficient and there was no wait. I ordered the seasonal menu Geneva Rosti and strawberry matcha latte. My only complain would be that the drink had equal ice to liquid in it so it didn't last long. The matcha was not very strong tasting either, the strawberry took over the matcha taste. Otherwise the facility is clean and service was efficient.

I had a delicious Pick Three Skillet made with Breakfast Sausage, Cream Cheese, and Jalapeño Peppers. Egg Harbor makes the best skillets which are my favorite breakfast dish. The English muffin with homemade berry preserves is a nice touch to round out the meal. There is always enough to take home for lunch later in the day!

Egg Harbor Cafe was great. Came in early around 7 for breakfast and was promptly seated. My waiter came quickly and the food was out equally fast. I had the traditional breakfast. Almost everything was well made except the potatoes (could be slightly more browned). The staff was friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience cozy and welcoming. Would come back!

Sunday morning midday, I thought that there would be a wait for a table, but they were able to put us at a table by the kitchen/bathrooms. I've dined at Egg Harbors throughout the years and the menu seems pretty consistent although they did have a lot of new coffee drinks. My Bacado (bacon-avocado) omelette was fine, with a generous portion of avocados. This came with an English muffin and diced potatoes. My companion ordered the avocado toast and they said their over medium eggs were cold. Otherwise a fine breakfast. Our server made sure our drinks were filled and even offered to provide Togo containers for them. Easy to pay with QR code on receipt.

Came here for breakfast and service was good. Seated right away, got the usual egg Barrington Benedict with hot coffee. Waitress was kind to have the coffee to-go afterwards. Usually coming here with uniform or without and a discount was added to the tab, but this time no. But it's okay. Still left a tip because the service is always friendly and consistent. 4 stars because the potatoes was okay, and the Benedict was okay.

Yum yum yum! This is a delayed review but I figured better late than never. My bf and I went here early on Veteran's day for a lovely Veterans Day breakfast. On that note, a big thank you to our service members past and present! Thank you for your service. Luckily, when we arrived, there wasn't a big wait and we got there before it got really busy. They were able to seat us immediately which was wonderful. Like many other Egg Harbor cafes, the motif was very cozy, farmhouse and we love it. Unfortunately, I forgot our waiters name but she was super sweet and gave great customer service. She immediately took our drink orders where my bf ordered his normal coffee which he loved and I ordered a strawberry orange juice. To be honest, the strawberry orange juice wasn't anything special. It tasted like normal orange juice with a hint of strawberry so I think next time I go, I'll just get regular orange juice because the strawberry really didn't add much taste wise. I also want to add that my bf loves their mugs so much that he got himself and me our own egg harbor mugs which was so nice! The mugs are well made, dish washer safe and they carry a nice amount of coffee or orange juice which is much appreciated. When it comes to the food, my bf ended up ordering a tuna melt while I ordered Matt's meaty scrambler. Both were fantastic!! My bf loved his tuna melt on wheat. He said the the fresh veggies and fruit were crunchy alongside the tuna meat which was just tender with a lot of good flavor. He normally doesn't like fruit in his sandwiches but this changed his mind, he was so happy and said he would return for the sandwich alone. He also loved the potatoes too. For my dish, I liked my scrambler as well! The cheddar cheese was perfectly melty and the heavy portions of ham, sausage and bacon was yummy! The meat had the perfect amount of crunch (thank you bacon!) and was tasty. All this topped off with fluffy, buttery eggs was perfect! It wasn't too salty and with the slight addition of hot sauce, it had the perfect amount of zing! This dish also came with English muffins which were crisp, buttery and light. The signature jam on top of the English muffins was a nice and somewhat sweet compliment to the entire meal itself. The price point is average which I didn't have a problem withZ Due to the great service and delicious food we had, I would pay whatever amount anyways. We definitely will be coming back to this particular location to try more delectable things off this extensive menu. Brava Egg Harbor, brava!

Stopped in Egg Harbor for a quick breakfast before work. Pros- they were fast and service was great! We were greeted immediately and had our beverages within minutes of sitting down. The Belgian waffle and Lobster scramble were great. Cons- Plant sausage, egg whites and potatoes were ehhh. 3 stars overall.

I really enjoyed my meal at Egg Harbor Cafe. I got the Harbor Signature Pancakes (9/10) and they were really tasty. Not sure what is in their special recipe but man is it good! I also got a side of eggs which were cooked the way I asked, light scramble. This is quirky of me but their payment system is awesome. They use TOAST which allows you to just scan the bill and even split the check how you want. Really nice touch especially with bigger parties. If I'm ever back in the area I'll be sure to visit again.

Egg Harbor Café is my favorite place for breakfast! Even though there are multiple locations, the deliciousness in their dishes is always consistent. My go-to items are the Eggceptional Skillet Combo, the Griddle Combo, and the Strawberry-Orange juice! Service is always friendly and attentive and it's a great spot to meet for breakfast, brunch, or lunch with family, friends or business. Another perk is that they they have seasonal specials which makes visits exiting! Tip-While they don't take reservations, checkout the Egg Harbor website before your visit to get on the waitlist!

Been here many many times and it's always a favorite. Restaurant is located in downtown libertyville which is always convenient. Went on a Sunday around 1130am for brunch and was told it was going to take 45 mins - 1 hour 15 mins wait for 4 people. Place didn't look that busy at the time but we ended up waiting less than 20 mins which wasn't bad. Service was typically for a breakfast place. I ordered a strawberry orange juice mimosa which was good. Tasted more like regular orange juice than strawberry but was still pretty good. I also order the seasonal special of the red velvet French toast and ordered a side of cheese grits. Everything was very delicious. Will always come back!

The food, the service, and the ambience were all amazing. Our server never forgot us even when he was super busy. The food came out really quickly considering everything is made to order. It is a bright, happy, clean restaurant. We were here with our youngest son who had just graduated from Navy boot camp so it meant a lot to us that he enjoyed himself so much. Thank you Egg Harbor!

We were quickly seated with a reservation and the tables were lovely - gorgeous wedgewood china (even for the kids!). Greeted with prosecco for adults and sparkling juice for the kids. Service was really friendly and helpful with tea selections. There are about 4 options for children if they want tea as well. Food was good and there was a tower for the kids (their the older child at our table wanted the adult sandwiches...). Plenty of sandwiches and sweets. The scone actually was the standout though - orange cranberry - very soft and delicious. Customary lemon curd, jelly and cream - delicious. All in all, this was a nice, fancy time for tea but there were some negatives namely: no one ever asked if we wanted more drinks (I would have had a glass of champagne but no one returned or asked - I could have flagged someone down but was surprised at this level of hotel that service wasn't so helpful). We also felt rushed - I would have stayed longer to enjoy but get they were cleaning up our table quickly. Instead, we brought some of the treats to go. While the staff was friendly, they weren't really there a lot - I saw some tables get asked if they wanted more sandwiches - but we did not... and it wasn't because we had kids at the table because I'd say at the time we went, more than 50% of the tables had kids with them. We did get a nice little to go gift of tea, chocolate and a tea strainer. I'm conflicted upon returning just due to feeling rushed.... I always go for tea once a year at least and I've been to every fancy hotel in the city (and other restaurants) for tea and multiple hotels in Europe (Ireland, England) and this was the most European feeling but really felt less relaxed even though the surroundings were gorgeous.

Very spotty until we got our food and then it seemed like one side of the table was being ignored and that included our host. Overall a nice dinner, but unless we were invited again, I wouldn't necessarily go back.

When you pull up to the plaza you would think anything of the restaurant but when you go inside it's a fun colorful experience. When we were seated we were brought waters and menus. We took some time to look at the menus but ultimately took our server's suggestions on drinks. I ended up having a virgin Rose Colored Glasses drink and absolutely loved it. The drinks were large and I felt they were worth the price. My husband got an old fashioned. To start we got the cheese curds, and when I tell you these cheese curds still live rent free in my mind I kid you not. They were so good, the cheese was battered in a tempura batter with a truffle cream sauce and it made for such an incredible dish! For our entrees we got the pork chop with the brown butter sauces and bavette with a red wine reduction. The pork chop was great with the brown butter you just gotta make sure you mix it up, and the red wine was a bit too salty for me but it was okay because I ended up loving the steak by itself! For our sides we got the grilled zucchini under the snacks option instead of the sides option because I wanted all the fixings. It was a great choice! The fixings really made and I could eat a plate of that and just be happy (with the cheese curds of course). The wiped potatoes were great as well. Now I was going to pass on dessert because I was SO full already, but twist my arm when you tell me the cookie dough ice cream is a must try. It had real cookie dough chunks on top and bottle and the vanilla ice cream was not boring vanilla, I ate almost half of that bowl and couldn't stop. The chocolate chip cookie dough was house made and it was the perfect blend of sweet and salty that tied the whole ice cream bowl together. Can't recommend that enough as well. All in all, we had a great experience! It was so fun to see so many regulars and so many new folks who came in to dine at the same time as us and we all peeked to see who ordered what before we ordered and got some great recs as you can see! Can't wait to come back to enjoy my favorites and more!

Started with the bread and crabcakes and the bread was amazing and definitely fresh but the crabcakes needed more crab and flavor. Basically everything needed more flavor. We also ordered a bottle of wine which our server struggled with and never came over to refill the glasses. Then the entree's; my husband's bolognese was bland and desperately needed at least salt and pepper. Then the real problem was my steak which was supposed to be medium came out well done and then classically when it was recooked came out rare or medium rare if you are being generous. Then the waitress said she would check back and she didn't so I had to get salt myself from the server station which is kinda ridiculous especially when paying $54 for a steak that already has no seasoning which is why they offer free sauces which makes a lot of sense now. When she finally did come back I said it was under but not waiting for it to be overcooked again so reheating it at home with the cold side of mushrooms I ordered WITH my steak. I did talk to the manager after and he was not really helpful or sympathetic and I was really talking to him so in my review I could say well at least management cares but that is not the case here. I gave 2 stars because their drinks are good and the ambiance is nice and the hostess was super friendly and was the star employee after our visit. Also we paid for everything even the cold mushrooms and over/under cooked steak! At minimum also remake my mushrooms or comp them. Would I eat here again hopefully not but it is locationally desirable for me and my in-laws and have lots of GF options so might have to and if I do hopefully they will have made things better.

Staff are friendly too! I've had both the gluten-free chocolate chip cookie ($4) and the banana nut bread with chocolate chips ($4). Other pastries (scones, muffins, tarts) ranged from $6-$10, which I thought was a bit high. The chocolate chip cookie was tasty and chewy and you couldn't tell that it's gluten-free. A bit sweeter than some other ones I've had. I liked it but it's not a chocolate chip cookie to go out of your way for. The banana bread was full of chocolate, which made it nice and gooey in certain areas on this hot day. Unfortunately, the parts without chocolate were a bit dry. Generally, the baked goods seemed a bit overpriced for the quality and taste, but maybe their savory items are better. I think I'd give it around a 3.5 for the food but bumped it up for the atmosphere. The area around is fun, with a hiking trail, goats, and a farm market on the weekends. Oh, and heads-up, there's a 3% credit card fee even though they're cashless.

They don't take reservations, but if you call an hour before you arrive with your largish party, they will hold a table for you. And they did. When you walk in the front door, you immediately walk to the right for the bar or dining room seating to the left. They set our table up across from the door. Every time someone went in our out, we had a cold blast of air hit us and that was a bit unnerving. You just couldn't get warm. There was a wall behind us, but apparently another dining section on the other side, we should have sat there, it would have been more comfortable. Our party was debating about getting an appetizer as we saw someone else get the wings which were big and juicy looking. They couldn't make up their mind, so I got their soup of the day: cream of chicken soup. It was pretty good and much needed on a cold nice, but it was just okay and I can pass on it next time. The soup was warm, almost room temperature, so they'll have to heat it up next time. I ended up getting their 8oz Lantern burger. They have a junior option at 6oz and a Tiffany at 10oz. The middle was fine. I got it medium rare with American cheese, lettuce, pickles, and mustard and a side of tots. They have a lot of options and the server recommended the tots. They were good, but no better than anywhere else. The burger was juicy and good, but the meat is not seasoned. Though if it is, I couldn't taste it. However, the bun held up really well despite how juicy the burger was and the burger was cooked to perfection. Others in our party thought the burgers were just okay. Over all, we had an average score of 4.00/5.00. The burgers were good, but I bet there are better items on the menu which boasts the best burgers in town. Not sure about that, but decent enough.

While I understood the line to order (it's popular and it was just after 1230), I didn't understand why numerous orders after mine, came out first. One woman checked on me and went to look for the cranberry chicken salad. I continued to wait. I asked a second time. Shortly after that, I got it. It was 1255, so I had to switch to takeaway re in house. To their credit, they gave me a free cookie (I won't eat it but maybe I can find someone else to give it to) and it doesn't seem like this is "normal". No one else waited as long as I did. Maybe I should have ordered a sandwich, but the salad was just average. Not bad. Not special, in any way. I would have liked a little more chicken. It was definitely okay. I like the vibe. Staff seem really friendly. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here though.

They graciously accommodated our large group in a quieter space where we could actually talk and enjoy each other's company up and down the table -- something that made the evening feel even more special. The food was incredible, as always, and the wine recommendation paired with our meal was so good it deserves its own review. But the real highlight of the night was our waiter, Mario. He made the entire evening genuinely feel like a celebration. His recommendations never missed, he was warm and engaging throughout the meal, and he somehow even managed to get our tired, aloof teenagers laughing and opening up by the end of dinner. That kind of hospitality is rare and deserves recognition.

The cuisine is modern and playful and focuses on local ingredients. I was intrigued by, but did not order, the Something from Land or Air or Something from Water, which I take to mean the chef prepares something fresh, local and what is tastiest for the season. We shared the Warm Hand Made Bread Service (creme fraiche goats butter, roasted pecan hummus and matcha sesame butter) and Crispy Mushrooms (dusted with matcha, sesame togarashi black garlic aioli) from the Small or Snacky section. I had the Inovasi burger (1/3 lb CDK Farms beef) and my companions had the Grilled Ocean Raised Salmon. My burger had a good flavor but they cooked it well done instead of medium. Fries were good. Friends enjoyed their salmon.
