My wife and I went there on a recommendation yesterday for breakfast. Definitely a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The menu looked amazing and the waitress was so friendly and attentive. We were actually having a pretty good time. I had asked the waitress if they had a Cup of fruit and she said yes. The food was a little greasier than we liked maybe because it had so much butter on it. My wife got an egg sandwich and I got a veggie omelette. Everything there is à la cart so we did expect the bill to be a little higher. Well, that being said we were absolutely shocked to find out that bowl of fruit was $14 and with tip our total for a bowl of fruit and egg sandwich and a veggie omelette was $73! And that wasn't even the worst of it, about an hour later we were both extremely nauseous. The remainder of our day was spent taking anti-nausea medication and bouts of extreme discomfort. We have no idea what breakfast item it originated from but we had both had a bite or two of each other's meal and shared the fruit bowl. The experience at the restaurant itself was fine, but we could never take a chance like that in going back. We definitely ate something there that upset us both for the remainder of the day. read more

My first time here, and oh my goodness all I can say is WOW. Jacki was wonderful to us explaining many of the dishes. I had never tried eggs Benedict so she brought me a little taste of it. Very very good. I ordered the cheese encrusted quesadilla which comes with eggs and the cheesy hashbrowns and then you can have three add-ons, which I added mushrooms, bacon, and spinach. It also came with sour cream and salsa, and the entire dish was excellent. But it is a huge portion. I will share the next time I come in. And the free warm scone they serve you before your meal was such a tasty treat. The portions are gigantic. The biscuits and gravy is probably the best I've ever had. Potatoes are an absolute delight. And the sausage patty was exquisite. You are in for a treat, but be patient as the wait time can be a little long as it's a smaller facility than your average restaurants, but well worth the wait. read more

We went on Saturday, 10/30 at just before noon, and there was an hour wait, so we went next door to Tuesday Morning to do some window shopping inside. We suspected most of the customers were waiting for a table as well! When our table was ready we got a nice booth in the small half of the restaurant. Apparently the restaurant was double the size before the pandemic and they are understaffed now. First a note on the restaurant. It needs help! 1st they need to rip up and replace the very dated and very dirty thin carpeting. It gives the entire place a dirty feeling even though we found the restaurant to be clean. The tchotchkes and trinkets on the walls is what you might see in grandma's house if she was also a hunter and liked to mount her kill on the wall. Seriously, the food and service was so great it did not match this well-worn interior. I would imagine some people leave before sitting down because of the appearance. I highly suggest that they update the interior. Service was great! Our perky server, Layne, was very helpful in describing the menu and any questions we had. She didn't rush when we were ordering and she checked with us throughout our meal several times. In fact, the rest of the staff was great at offering coffee refills too. Layne was very friendly and personable, which added to our enjoyment of the meal. See attached pics with descriptions of items ordered. Portion sizes were generous & all food was warm and delicious. What a gem, a great place for breakfast, the ambiance is spectacular They are speedy even when busy. They start you off with coffee first of course. First up for everyone, every time you visit a "scone", that most Francophiles would claim is a Beignet. I simply claim that is it heavenly! Sorry Anglo friends! I enjoyed a John Denver omelette with their red potatoes and crusty sour dough toast. Take small bites and the flavor profile is different every time. More food than I could eat. Country Benedict was excellent. The gravy comes with bits of bacon burnt ends. Sausage has a great flavor, biscuit has a good texture. The whole thing comes together perfectly. Biscuits look deceptively like dinner rolls but has a great crumb and texture. Walrus was amazing. The cheesy potatoes were way better than expected. Walrus is basically country Benedict with bacon and potatoes added. Portion on either are large but can be finished if you show up hungry enough. A keeper, we have been wanting to try this spot but the time just hasn't been right - until today :) Easy to find, surprising in a strip mall just off Boise Ave. We hit the customer window just right, @ 11 A and we got a nice booth just as we walked in. We loved the music, very era (thinking it was Fleetwood Mac day LOL) and enjoyed a warm and friendly welcome upon entering. Our waitress was great, we told her it was our maiden voyage with Egg Mann and she said "oh you will be back for sure." We seized the menu and immediately liked the ala carte options for custom breakfast alongside many package deals for an all in breakfast. Before we had made up our mind, our waitress came by and dropped off a free dusted scone to kick off the visit, very kind and unexpected (5 stars here). Prices were fair, a bit on the high side at $10 and over BUT given the result, thinking I would pay again :). I opted for a 2 egg, bacon (they smoke their own - killer), traditional red potatoes and one of my favs .. cinnamon raisin toast (the meal came with 3 slices halved - yikes) and a jumbo coffee which was great. My wife opted for the 2 egg omelet (you get 3 picks to plug in here from a long list of extras) , hash browns and a coffee. We dug in and pushed forward. All in all, great food, hot and tasty with plenty of it. Too much as we needed a takeaway container and limped to the car. A return trip will be on the to do list, do doubt this place has much to offer, clean and well attended. Easy parking, comfortable seating and loved the bathrooms (my wife was impressed with the full size cut out of Fabio in the ladies - men's was a bit more manly with deer head up on the wall - entertaining for sure). Certainly kiddo friendly - 2 sets of FAMS enjoying the food when we came in. So got to give these folks a 5 star, they earned it ! read more

Our first visit to Egg Man and Earl was pretty awesome. The waitress was the nicest and most attentive server you could ever hope for. She kept us refilled on coffee (including offering to go coffees at the end, answered our questions, and helped us pick what we should order. The Walrus was HUGE and tasted pretty good. Two hungry people could share it and be full. They do put some unusual spices in their sausage, which we weren't too hip on. That's personal preference, though, and overall the flavors were good. The breakfast quesadillas were awesome and also huge. And the blueberry pancakes were good too. Overall, we really enjoyed our first visit and we'll be back for more. read more

The food here was AMAZING. It is the exact definition of perfect breakfast food. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and red potatoes. I also had a mimosa. The service was great, get here early though or you will find yourself waiting in a long line. Partially because of how good the food is and partially because of how small the restraunt is. The decore is very unique and fun. Some of the paintings on the walls are even for sale, from what I assume is local artists. Finally visited today - have wanted to visit for a long time, but when a M-F office worker has a spouse in the restaurant biz, that means days off together are rare. I decided to build my own plate, mainly because I wanted to try the house-smoked bacon and cheesy hashbrowns. Hubby went for some loaded hashbrowns. While we waited, we got a nice surprise - a scone! Hot, crispy, buttery and sweet, it was a nice start. Food came out quickly, and yeah...those cheesy hashbrowns are delicious. Bacon was perfectly cooked - our server asked how I preferred it, and I got exactly what I wanted - midway between chewy and crispy. Our coffee cups stayed full while we were there, and when we were paying, we were offered a cup to go - that was an unexpected bonus! Prices were fair for the portions. Do you enjoy friendly service, quirky decor, and scratch-made food? This might just be the place for you! I have wanted to check this place out for a while, but there are some polarizing reviews! I guess everyone's experience is different. We arrived right near opening time (8AM) on a summery Saturday morning and there was no wait. We were promptly seating and our server was friendly and efficient. We quickly got our drinks and had a hard time deciding between lots of yummy options on the menu. I could see how this wouldn't be everyone's "cup of tea"- but we had a fun breakfast, the service was awesome!! Our drinks were never empty- the wait staff definitely work as a team. The complementary "scone" (highly debated name for fried bread) was a yummy start with our coffee. We tried the breakfast quesadilla- very good with the crispy Parmesan cheese on the outside and you choose what to load it with besides cheesy hashbrowns and eggs- we opted for man, spinach, and green onions. We also split their divisive bacon-based biscuits and gravy. The biscuits had a crispy, buttery bottom edge which reminded me of pie crust or a deep dish pizza. The gravy was good-definitely different. Would be better with chopped up sausage or bacon added to the top- we just felt it was missing a little flavor. Their prices are a bit high, their decor is quirky, (they had simplified posters of every Wes Anderson movie if that gives you any idea!) but overall we really enjoyed our breakfast! Around $32 for two coffees and two breakfasts, not including tip. That was for some of the less expensive menu items. I would imagine they do get quite busy, and there's shopping nearby. If you don't have time to wait for a table, I'd recommend coming right when they open. read more

Incredible Brunch Experience Eggman and Early made me feel like I was living in a 1990s Video Game while having an Incredible Brunch Experience... Right when you walk in you cant help but notice the super wacky decorations that make you smile ear to ear and they are literally EVERYWHERE. Being it is Covid times and the tables need to be spread apart they went the extra mile(s) and had cool characters at each table. This made the place feel full and warm even at limited seating capacity. The waitress was hustling and in great spirits. Encouraging me to take more pictures and making sure my glass was always full. The food was excellent. The complimentary scone was light, warm, just the right amount of sweet and a perfect start. I ordered the French Toast and the Seasoned Red Potatoes and WoWZers I was really blown away. Super seasoned, cooked to perfection. It was like a Fiesta on my tongue and I just wanted to keep dancing. I'm loving this place and will have to return with my wife so she can get the experience as well. Re: COVID-19 measures - they ask you wait outside to be greeted and seated (don't worry the waitress was extremely attentive and we weren't at the door more than 20 seconds), every other booth has been filled with faux patrons so you can feel confident nobody will be seated near you, and staff were all in masks. Now to the good part - the food! We opted for the mimosa juice flight: $10 for a bottle of sparkling wine and your choice of juice(s) + an extra glass to drink from. Absolutely tasty and worth the price! Just about everything on the menu that can be made from scratch, is. And whatever isn't is locally-sourced! This gives everything a high quality flavor profile that cannot be duplicated or matched by any other restaurant. Also, the complimentary 'scone' (it's a beignet but that's just semantics) should without a doubt be a thing at ALL breakfast and brunch places! It was large, freshly made, and expertly dusted with cinnamon sugar and powdered sugar. Can't wait for a return trip! read more
